  Saya looked across the room at her favorite top. The one she wore the night she met Tommy in that grunge bar on East 6th Street. That poor guy. I just left him up in that tree. What must he be thinking? Wonder if he is still drinking Bourbon. This is one of the best things about an alien… Jason never gets jealous. He seems to enjoy me having a good time. As long as I don’t break the rules… Never abuse my power and keep a low profile. Jason, I miss you.

  When the loneliness overtook her, Saya could find herself despondent. Late at night when she looked up at the sky, she would hear herself say, “Jason, you told me to wait, but it seems forever now…”
