For the first time in our long acquaintance, I didn’t argue. I slipped Bradley’s shirt back off and pulled Hollin’s onto my curvy frame. I worked on the buttons, and when I was done, he stepped forward. I stilled, wondering what the hell he was doing. He took my arm in his hands and then slowly rolled the sleeves up to my elbows on one arm and then the other. My body tingled at every brush of his skin against mine.
He grinned. “Tuck it in in the front.”
I did as he instructed with an eye roll. “This?”
He nodded. “You look good in my clothes, Medina.”
I stepped forward, and his eyes rounded slightly in surprise before settling back to his arrogant know it all look. “When we get back inside, you’re going to keep your mouth shut about everything that happened out here.”
“And if I don’t?”
“Then I’ll take a baseball bat to your Harley.”
He hissed. “Cold blooded, babe.”
I arched an eyebrow. “You’ve been warned.”
Then I sauntered back inside as if I hadn’t just seen an engagement ring or been completely frazzled by Hollin Abbey of all people.

Serves Me Wright was the book that I was most afraid to write. If you’ve been following me on this journey long, you’ll know I kind of like to break hearts. Shocking, I know! And when I decided that I wanted to start with the Wrights again and have the Wright Vineyard, I worried that Julian and Jennifer wouldn’t have the normal angst that I enjoy personally writing. So I dug deep. I asked myself a lot of tough questions about being introverted and anxiety and depression. I looked at the effect having a broken family would have on a good man. And then when I sat down, after all of that fear, I just fell in love with Julian and Jennifer. And I hope that you loved them as much as I did. So, I want to thank everyone who was there for me as I laid on the floor in a tantrum trying to figure out how to write nice people being nice. You’re the real heroes!
About the Author
K.A. Linde is the USA Today bestselling author of more than thirty novels. She has a Masters degree in political science from the University of Georgia, was the head campaign worker for the 2012 presidential campaign at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and served as the head coach of the Duke University dance team.
She loves reading fantasy novels, binge-watching Supernatural, traveling to far off destinations, baking insane desserts, and dancing in her spare time.
