Diamond (The Heirs Series Book 2) Page 32

by D. Camille

Diamond channeled her mother’s skills and injected them with a truth serum that Lilac had perfected. They waited for the drug to take hold, before their subjects began spilling their guts. Even the Heirs were surprised to the level which the operation existed.

Looking at one another, they knew this was long from over and this enterprise would take them on an extended journey.

Six looked at Xavier. “Did you expect this?”

Xavier shook his head. “Not in a million years…”

  “We’ve really opened a Pandora’s Box. They’ve been at this for years…”

“Hollywood has had a reputation, and now we’re going to expose all their ties and secrets.” Xavier told him.

“Where do we start?” Six asked.

Xavier shrugged. “Pick a point and go from there, because anything we chose is going to lead to something we can’t predict.”

Six looked at him. “I guess the Heirs are officially starting another mission.”

“We need to check in with Uncle Ray and start planning.”

  “I’m on it.” Six agreed.

Xavier walked over to where Jack and Olympia were sitting, tied to chairs and Diamond joined him.

“Why did you do this?” Xavier asked them.

“For the money…” they both answered.

“How do you have no compassion for other human beings?” Xavier questioned. “Why did you target these young people?”

Olympia frowned. “They don’t have compassion for themselves or their communities. They rap about killing one another and abusing their own women. They only care about the money…so why should I give a damn?”

Xavier nodded. “That’s the problem…people like you have never given a damn and that’s why we have these direct results of your actions. You haven’t just stolen bodies…you’ve stolen souls…for too damn long.”

Olympia sat back. “The network is too large, with too many pockets being filled. You’ll never bring it down, completely.”

Diamond moved closer to her face. “You’ll never stop us from trying.” She told her. “And your asses are going to help us.”

Diamond and Xavier went over to the rest of the Heirs and they huddled all together.

“We need to make it look like these two have taken off…” Xavier told them. “I’m going to put a warrant out for their arrest.”

Jade nodded. “I’ll leak information to all media outlets that they’re wanted and missing. We’ll say they got a tip about the warrant, and got in the wind before they could be taken into custody.”

Diamond looked back at the pair in the chairs. “These two are going to be here a long time, and no one will ever find them.”

  Chapter 26

The next week Diamond sat in her office in the Black Diamond Building, where the Black Brokerage was housed in LA. She also had another office and staff in New York. Her people were highly competent and she’d successfully run her business remotely for the past few years.

Now that she was home and putting down her roots, she would spend more time overseeing the actual operations. Looking out the window, she thought back over the past several weeks since she’d returned home.

The Heirs had completed their first mission as a full team. She’d admitted her love for Xavier, and they were now a loving couple. She couldn’t help but smile, thinking about the man who would forever be in her life.

Taking a deep breath, she thanked the Universe that he’d never given up and had been patient enough to allow her to realize who he was and what he meant to her. Diamond still wouldn’t say she’d chased him, but she’d certainly caught him…not that he hadn’t wanted to be captured.

Turning back to her glass screen, she watched the major hospital stocks plunge after the news report this morning about them accepting stolen organs and the arrest of several individuals affiliated with the ring. Shaking her head, she clicked on another tab and opened the Hollywood news.

Authorities were still searching for Jack Aspen and Olympia S. Haley, who were still being held at the warehouse, and would be there for as long as necessary. Their dirty deeds were being aired all over the media, and people were talking, after the CIA Director, had held a press conference asking for assistance with information on the whereabouts of the missing fugitives. Arrests were being made and partners were turning on one another.

Watson Entertainment announced the X-Ception’s departure and venture into other endeavors. All of his social media was shut down and everything about him was scrubbed from the web. Janay, the young girl that the X-Ception had rescued from Lil D, was now reunited with her family, and all the young people taken from Lil D’s home had been transported to safety.

Picking up her phone, she scrolled through the pictures that she and Xavier had taken during their time in New York. Smiling, she looked at his handsome face and sexy body in his X-Ception attire. She opened the next picture with them kissing.

Diamond licked her lips, thinking of joining them with his again, very soon. Xavier had resumed his CIA duties and was working hard on making sure that the Heirs had covered all of their tracks. Thinking of him, she dialed his private line.

  “Hello, Diamond.”

  She smiled. “Am I interrupting?”

  “Never…how are you?”

  “Thinking about you.”

  “Hmmm…what are you thinking?”

Diamond swiveled in her seat. “About seeing you,”

“When can you leave?” Xavier asked.

  “Whenever you tell me,”

  “Now.”

  She blinked. “Are you home?”

“I will be when you get there.”

  “Okay. Love you. Bye.”

  “I love you, too.”

She ended the call, grabbed her bag and rushed out the door. Diamond slipped into a waiting car, and was driven to Xavier’s home. She checked her device and saw a message from him.

The door is open for you…

Diamond looked at the screen then lifted a brow. At the house, she exited the car and walked to the door, indeed finding it open. Stepping inside, she closed it behind her, and saw a note on the back with her name on it.

“Xavier,” she called out, looking around.

When she got no response, Diamond took the note from the door and read it.

Your eighth birthday party at the zoo, I fell in love with you…and my love only grew from there

Diamond paused and looked around again, then saw a furry, stuffed lioness guarding the entry to the living room. Walking over, she picked it up and rubbed it gently. Her brown eyes spotted another note on the sofa, and she quickly made her way over to it.

When we traveled to your village, I claimed you as my African princess and wrote your name in the earth…

Holding on to both the notes and the lioness, Diamond continued through the home in search of him, but came across another note.

Our first kiss, I promised you that we’d become a family…

Diamond bit her lip against the dampness that was forming in her eyes and continued the journey, he’d set her on. On the kitchen counter was another card, and with a shaky hand, she picked it up.

You chased me like the true lioness you are…and I am yours forever

Diamond turned to the picture on the wall and saw their playground. She dropped everything on the counter and ran back through the house.

  “Xavier!” she yelled.

Hitting the stairs, she took them two at a time and ran down the hall to his bedroom. Diamond threw open the double doors and saw him…

Then she saw the ring in his hand and Xavier watched as she put a hand over her heart, as her eyes watered.

  “Hello, Diamond.”

  “Xavier…”

Stepping forward, he kneeled in front of her and took her left hand.

“My beautiful lioness…my Goddess, my love, my heart, my everything,” Xavier paused and held her gaze. “Will you trust me to be the man who loves you for the rest of my
life?”

Diamond sniffed as she looked down at him. “If you’ll trust me to love you for the rest of my life…” she whispered. “I think I owe you some time…”

Xavier shook his head. “You don’t owe me anything.” He placed the ring on her finger and Diamond lifted her hand to look at it.

“The Gods!” She looked at him. “You got this in New York. We looked at it in the jewelry store, the day we went to Central Park.”

Xavier got to his feet and smiled at her. “I wanted to ice you up real nice…my little fine ass worker.”

Diamond smiled, then threw her arms around him. “I love you!”

“I love you, Diamond...I always have,” Xavier said, holding her tightly.

Their hot mouths sought and found each other, before clothes were ripped away. Diamond whipped his shirt over his head and threw it across the room, then grabbed his belt and unfastened it. She moved the buckle aside and unbuttoned his jeans, then unzipped them. Taking him in her hand, she massaged the length inside. Diamond slid his pants and underwear down, watching his manhood greet her.

She felt it pulse, when she took him in her hand, and her eyes darkened. Dropping down, she placed that beautiful mouth on him and Xavier groaned. Wrapping his hand in her hair, Xavier threw his head back for a long moment, before looking down at the top of her head.

Diamond lifted her face to his and Xavier cradled her jaw. She stood to her feet and he captured her sweet mouth, kissing her until she wrapped her arms around him. A few minutes later, Xavier finished undressing them both and carried her over to the bed. He laid her naked body on the mattress, taking the time to fill his vision with her loveliness.

“You are so beautiful,” he told her.

Diamond was taking in her fill as well, of a muscled chest and flat abdomen, down to a solid erection. Her eyes met his again. “So are you…”

“Turn over for me,” Xavier requested.

She blinked her brown eyes. “Turn over?”

He nodded slowly and she complied just as slowly. When she was lying on her stomach, with her naked ass on display, Xavier began his mission. Caressing and squeezing her cheeks, he kissed and suckled them before tasting her essence below.

When he was done, she heard him say, “Lift it for me…”

Diamond turned her head back to him and smiled, before getting on her knees. “Like this?” she asked sultrily.

“Yes,” Xavier said, grabbing her hips and swiftly making them one.

Losing her breath, Diamond braced herself on her elbows to absorb the deep, powerful strokes that began to pull sultry moans from her mouth. Xavier traced her spine, assisting her in arching her back to maximize both of their pleasure. The room then became filled with the sounds of passionate lovemaking.

“Like this?” Xavier whispered hoarsely, as he plunged deeper.

  Diamond balled her fists. “Yesssss!”

  “Say my name, Goddess…”

  She groaned and responded, “Xavier…”

The lovers lost track of the time they spent satisfying one another, until they both lay depleted on the bed. Diamond laid on her stomach and Xavier gently rubbed the damp skin on her back.

She glanced at the ring on her finger and smiled, then relived in her mind, the last hour in this bedroom.

“You’re getting so good at this,” she told Xavier.

He kissed her shoulder. “So are you.”

They both laughed as she turned and wrapped her arms around him.

“I’m glad that neither of us has anything to compare. It makes every new positon, better than the last.” Diamond told him.

Xavier shrugged. “And because I love you…I’m willing to try them all.”

She smiled and kissed him before climbing on top of his damp body. “You’d do that for me?”

“I’d do anything for you, Diamond.” Xavier said, pushing her dark hair away from her face.

“Thank you for the notes,” she told him. “You’re so sweet…”

  He grinned. “And cute?”

“Nah, you’re just fine as hell now…”

Xavier looked at her. “Are you ready to become Mrs. Xavier Jackson?”

  She frowned. “Diamond Black-Jackson.”

  He frowned. “Diamond Jackson.”

“You know I’m a Black, Xavier…” Diamond protested.

He nodded, then flipped her over onto her back. “I know how to get you to see things my way…”

Two weeks later, Six sat in his office, working on the next phase of the Heirs mission. His phone buzzed on his desk and he frowned.

  “Yes, Lace?”

  “What are you doing?”

He frowned harder. “Working…exactly what you should be doing right now,” he told her gruffly.

  “Your sister is here.”

“Why didn’t you just say that?” Six asked.

“She didn’t want to bother you, if you were busy.” Lace explained.

Six sighed. “Thank you, Lace. Please send my sister in.”

  “You’re welcome, Six.”

A minute later his door opened and Skye entered with a smile, dressed in one of her fashions that made her look like she’d just walked off the cover of a magazine.

“I swear, you and Lace are a pair.” Skye took a seat.

Six glared at his older sister. “Daddy hired her and I can’t fire her.”

  “She does a great job,”

“Yes, but sometimes…” Six shook his head.

Skye laughed. “She keeps you from being so uptight. I like her…”

  “I’m not uptight.”

  “Yes, little brother…you are.”

He looked at his watch. “Ambassador Lewis should be here soon.”

  Skye grinned. “I know.”

“Why did you invite him here?” Six questioned.

  “To discuss the village,”

Six gave her a look. “That had better be the reason.”

Skye laughed. “My father is Ray Parker the fifth…not the sixth. Plus, he wanted to meet our parents.”

Skye then changed the subject. “How’s the planning for the next part of the mission going?” she asked.

Six gave her a look. “I know how to do that, too.”

  “What?”

“Change the subject.” He told her.

  “We learned from Mom.”

He sat back. “Diamond and Xavier are gone to tie up the last loose end of the tour.”

  “Jason?”

  Six nodded.

“What are they going to do to him?” Skye questioned.

“I don’t even want to know.” Six told her.

He frowned when his phone buzzed again.

“This damn girl…” he said, and Skye chuckled.

  “Yes, Lace?”

“Six, Ambassador Lewis is here to see you.”

Six nodded. “He’s early. Thank you, Lace, I’ll be right out.”

Skye remained seated, while Six went out to greet their guest. At the desk, Six shook Kyros’ hand.

“Glad you could make it out to LA, Ambassador.”

Kyros smiled. “It’s my pleasure, Sun God.”

  “You can call me Six.”

“Six, thank you for having me.”

Lace watched the two handsome men until Six turned to her. “Do you have that report on the village?”

She smiled. “Of course.” Lace handed Six the file. “Everything is organized the way you requested.”

  “Thank you, Lace.”

Lace smiled at him. “You’re welcome, Six…”

“Have you gone to lunch already?” Six asked her.

“No, did you need me to stick around?”

He shook his head. “No, can you just order me something for later?”

  “Already done.”

Six paused. “How did you know I’d even want lunch?”

“Because you’re working on a project and when get focused, you forget to eat.” Lace explaine
d. “I ordered the chicken that you like. It’ll be here in an hour.”

“Thank you, Lace.” Six said slowly.

  “You’re welcome, Six.”

Six led Kyros back to his office and Skye stood when they entered the room. Her eyes met Kyros’ and Skye felt the same reaction, she’d had when she’d met him the first time.

“Princess Skye.” His deep voice floated to her ears.

Kyros crossed the room and held out a large hand.

“Ambassador Lewis,” Skye returned, putting her hand in his.

She watched as he again, kissed the back of her hand gently.

  “Please, call me Kyros.”

Skye smiled. “That’s an interesting name, Kyros…”

“It means Master or Lord…” he explained and Skye felt all kinds of tingles throughout her body.

“Thank you for that information,” she whispered.

Kyros nodded, then waited until she was seated before also taking a seat across from Six, who had been watching them.

In his mind, Six said…These damn Heirs.

On the jet, Diamond looked at Xavier who was working on the glass top computer. He was quickly moving icons and documents items around and opening new files all over the table screen.

“What are you doing?” Diamond asked.

He frowned. “Trying to map out our next moves.”

“What are we going to do to Jason?”

Xavier turned to her. “What do you want to do? The end result is going to be the same.”

Diamond agreed. “I know, but simply killing him lets him get off easy, with his cocky ass.”

“He was a cocky ass dude.”

She wrapped her arm around his. “I know my genius will think of something.”

Xavier looked at her. “No pressure, huh?”

  “None at all.”

He kissed her lips. “Whatever my bride wants…”

Diamond looked at her ring, then at him. “And whatever position my groom desires…”

Smiling, Xavier said, “I can work with that.”

When the plane landed, Diamond and Xavier headed to complete the mission.

Jason had been released from rehab a few days before and was walking with the assistance of a walker. He was glad to be back at home although the pain was still excruciating at times. In addition, he couldn’t believe what had been happening while he was rehabilitating. Jack was on the lamb from the authorities with the Snowman, who was actually a damn woman. Lil D had been found murdered in his home over an alleged drug deal gone bad, and the X-Ception had retired after one tour and couldn’t be found.
