Diamond (The Heirs Series Book 2) Page 33

by D. Camille

Walking slowly to his kitchen, Jason wondered what was going to happen next. That damn Diamond had ruined his damn life. He’d only been trying to do her a favor, but she’d been such a bitch, he’d finally decided to get what he wanted and turn her in for the money.

Speaking of money, with all of his contacts out of commission, he had to make some new connections. Grabbing a glass, he opened the fridge and stuck his head inside to get some juice. When he stood, two people were standing in his kitchen and he dropped his glass, hearing it shatter to the floor.

“Hey Jason,” Diamond said with a smile.

Xavier shook his head. “You dudes made all this money and didn’t spend any on some damn security. I don’t understand it.”

“The X-Ception? Diamond?” Jason asked, confused as to why they were in his kitchen. “What are you doing here?”

“Well, I came to kill you, “Xavier told him. “But my bride, wants you to suffer…”

Diamond smiled. “I do, because you made all those boys and girls suffer. So, I think it’s only fair that you feel some type of fear, helplessness and desperation.”

Jason closed the fridge. “Listen, you’ve already broken my back in two places and ruined my life. Now I don’t know how you got in here, but you need to leave, before I call the police.”

Xavier looked at Diamond. “So he just ignored the part where I said that I came to kill him?”

  “I think so,” Diamond agreed.

  “Okay,”

Xavier crossed the room and Jason’s eyes widened. He grabbed him from behind the walker, and pulled him into the living room with a hand over his mouth. Diamond followed with one of the kitchen towels and watched as Xavier threw him on the sofa.

Before Jason could regain himself, Diamond stuffed the towel in his mouth to silence him, and because of the condition of his back, he couldn’t fight her off.

Xavier looked down at him with his weapon. “Be still or get a bullet,”

Jason froze and looked at the pair.

“Now, we know all that you have done Jason,” Diamond told him. “And you’ve been a very bad man…just foul and dirty…like a damn snake.”

Diamond pulled out her team device and connected to the Heirs who were all gathered together.

  “You guys ready?” she asked.

  “Yes,” Six answered.

Xavier placed a hand on Jason’s head, while Diamond put a hand on his back. Jason heard a low chant before Xavier squeezed his head. He tried to move from his grip, but it was too tight on his head. Xavier looked into his eyes, and said, “Hello.”

Jason stopped squirming and stared at him. “Hello.” Xavier repeated, before letting him go.

“Thanks guys, see you soon.” Diamond told the Heirs before ending the connection.

Xavier looked down at Jason. “Our work is done here.”

  Diamond smiled. “Bye Jason…”

By the time Jason was able to lift himself from the sofa, Xavier and Diamond were gone and he hadn’t heard a door open or close. With all of the strength he had, he reached for the phone and pressed a button.

  “911- What’s your emergency?”

“Hello, I need…” Jason began then dropped the phone to the floor when a group of large pythons began slithering toward him. “Help me!”

  “Hello?” the operator called.

Jason screamed louder and tried to move, as he stared at large fangs and open mouths.

  “Hello? Is anyone there?”

Closing his eyes to the sight, everything suddenly faded to black for Jason…

“Hello? What’s your emergency?” Silence was the only response.

  “Hello…”

In their hotel room, Diamond and Xavier sat on the bed, finishing a movie.

Xavier smiled at her. “I’m glad you chose a mystery.”

“What else would I choose for my gift from the Gods?”

He kissed her lips. “Thank you.”

“They should’ve picked up Jason by now.” Diamond said glancing at the clock.

Xavier agreed. “Since there weren’t enough of us all in one room, it won’t be strong enough to kill him…but he will lose his mind.”

  “Did he really see snakes?”

  “Pythons…eight of them.”

Diamond shook her head. “How’d you know he’d call the police.”

Xavier laughed. “That’s all he was thinking about. How he was going to call and get us locked up.”

“Still cocky and could barely walk,” Diamond smirked. “Stupid ass…”

He pulled her closer. “Jason’s done and Six is working on the next phase of the mission.”

Diamond looked at him. “And we’re in the next phase of our lives together…”

“The best phase, because I have my Goddess’ love.” Xavier told her.

She agreed. “And I have everything I’ve ever wanted. I’ve traveled the world, built my business, trained to be an Heir, and now I have the most amazing man in the world.”

Xavier reached into his back pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. “I’m still going to frame this for you, but I brought it with me, because I wanted you to see it.”

He handed it to her and Diamond paused. “Is this your infamous list?”

Xavier nodded. “Yes, here is your proof, Goddess.”

  “When did you write this?”

  He smiled. “I was fourteen.”

Diamond looked at him, then unfolded the slightly worn paper. She admired the neat handwriting and read it aloud…

  Kiss Diamond Black

She glanced at him and he grinned. “That was a priority…” Xavier told her, before Diamond went back to the list.

Graduate High School – go to Harvard

Graduate College – go to CIA or FBI

  Train to be an Heir

  Save a fortune

  Build Diamond Black a house

  Marry Diamond Black

  Make love to Diamond Black

She chuckled and looked at him. “I think we did these out of order.”

Xavier kissed her face. “I don’t mind being flexible.” She returned his kiss and slowly finished the list.

  Have kids with Diamond Black

  Grow old with Diamond Black

Diamond lifted watery, emotional brown eyes to his. “You really loved me…and you waited,” she whispered through her tears.

“Every single day was worth the wait, Diamond, just to hear you say those three words…” Xavier told her, wiping away her tears.

She looked into his handsome face. “Xavier Jackson…”

  “I…love…you.”

  -The End-

  Hotep reader fam!

I hope you enjoyed Diamond and Xavier’s journey and the introduction to the new Heirs, in their work. Xavier’s Benjamin Rucker, was in full force in this story and Diamond was…well Diamond Black. Xavier was the only man alive that could handle Miss Black…and he did that!

Xavier waited his entire life for Diamond, knowing from the start that she was the only woman he would ever love. He saved himself completely to share every experience with her, and unbeknownst to Diamond, she had as well. Their bond was forged from the beginning and their destiny was fulfilled.

This story crossed into an area that I haven’t covered before and I wanted to show that the Heirs are the real deal and will do what needs to be done to accomplish their goals. They won’t always get along, but they will always get the job done. It won’t be nice or pretty, but it will be real.

To stay true to the situation and the characters, I used some language that I don’t usually publish in my other books. This was to depict the interpretation as authentically as possible. Xavier’s cover as the X-Ception was to show the dark side of entertainment/Hollywood, as well as the mentality and culture that is created from that medium.

While the Black Diamonds are easing into letting their children handle things, the Heirs are more than ready and capable.
Their missions will consist of more than rescuing women as their father’s originally began. Societal issues focusing on our community will be their spotlight in various ways, so I hope you enjoy reading how they ‘handle’ business.

The Heirs do it for the culture…

  Up next…SKYE

  Shhhh…can you hear it! It’s coming… It’s Diamond Season!

SKYE – The Heirs Series- Book Three

  Chapter 1

“To love the king is not bad, but a king who loves you is better.” ~ Wolof proverb

Skye Parker dressed for the evening dinner with her family and Ambassador Kyros Lewis. Looking in the mirror, she moved her head from one side to the other checking her profile. Her long silver earrings hung from her ears, while her bright brown eyes underneath arched brows sparkled with excitement.

Skye added some lip color, and gently pressed her full lips together. Touching her dark hair that was twisted around her head, she smiled at her reflection. Standing to her five-foot-seven-inch height, she smoothed a hand down the dress she’d designed herself.

As the creator and owner of The House of Silver, Skye designed clothing and accessories for men and women. Her creative eye and love of the human body, had blended to establish a successful fashion house with contracts galore.

Skye designed wardrobes for Whitlock Studio’s actors and actresses, entertainers, and diplomats. In addition to her designing, Skye was also very instrumental in the politics of her village in Africa, where she was the Princess and her brother was the Sun God.

Kyros Lewis had recently been named the new U.S. Ambassador for the area that included her village, and he was in Los Angeles to meet with the Parker family. The very handsome man had made Skye speechless, the first time she’d met him. His mere presence had dominated the room, where her brother, Six, and cousin, Justice, were in attendance. Anyone who knew those two, knew that dominating a room with them around, was not an easy task.

She added some perfume to her neck and wrists before slipping into her heels. Kyros Lewis walked like a King, and although he had no country, he came across as masterful as his name. She was glad to see that he had taken an interest in the village, and she had also taken an interest in him.

Skye had decided to get dressed at her parent’s home tonight, where she also kept clothing and accessories, since Kyros was coming to meet the Sun God and his Moon. Skye’s brother would also be attendance for tonight’s dinner, as well as her Grandma Silver, whom she’d named her clothing line after.

Walking out of the room and down the hall, Skye met her grandmother and the two women hugged. Sliver stepped back and looked at her granddaughter.

“Don’t you look amazing,” Silver told her.

“I think you’re biased Grandma.” Skye smiled.

Silver studied her. “I may be, but I see a certain sparkle in those beautiful brown eyes.”

  Skye flushed. “Grandma…”

Linking her arm in Skye’s, Silver began to lead her toward the dining room. “Tell your old grandma what is going on with the Princess.”

As they walked slowly, Skye shared with her confidante. “The new Ambassador…”

Silver nodded. “Has he sparked the Princess’ interest?”

  “Oh my…yes.” Skye whispered.

“Then I can’t wait to meet him tonight.” Silver replied.

Skye sighed. “His energy is incredible. The first time he touched me, I felt an instant connection.”

Silver smiled. “You’ve felt more than your share of connections…”

“I love the human body, especially a male one,” Skye admitted. “It’s always been my fascination.”

“The Princess inherited her father’s trait of appreciating the opposite sex.” Silver pointed out.

They continued walking and Skye smiled.

“And the Princess has a temple of her own...” Skye reminded her.

Silver shook her head. “Do not cause an international scandal.”

“Never, because like my father…I am both discriminating and discrete.” Skye told her as they joined her mother, Isabelle.

“Skye,” Isabelle hugged her daughter. “You look beautiful.”

“So do you, Mom.” Skye returned her embrace. “Thank you.”

Isabelle looked at Silver. “You look lovely as well, Mom.”

  “My sweet Moon, thank you.”

The two women kissed each other’s cheeks.

“The Ambassador will be here soon,” Isabelle announced. “Ray and Six are meeting in the study and will be ready he arrives.”

“Can I help with anything?” Skye asked her mother.

“No, everything is taken care of…” Isabelle replied.

The three women headed inside the dining room and Skye looked around.

“I definitely got my creative eye from my mother. The table setting is beautiful.” Skye told her mother.

“We want to make a good impression on our new Ambassador.”

Silver looked at Skye. “I think that’s the consensus.”

Skye chuckled as the alarm signaled the Ambassador’s arrival. She heard her father and brother head towards the door, and waited with the other women for them to make their way to the dining room with their guest.

When they entered the room, Skye’s eyes connected with his and she waited as he greeted her grandmother and mother.

“Mrs. Parker-Williams, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Kyros greeted Silver, as she studied the man before her.

“It’s certainly a pleasure to meet you Ambassador Lewis.”

“I’m sorry that your husband couldn’t join us tonight.” Kyros extended.

Silver smiled. “Yes, he had to deal with some patients at his facility. I’m sure we’ll get another opportunity to meet with you.”

Kyros nodded. “I certainly hope so.” He turned to Isabelle. “The Sun God’s Moon.”

Isabelle took his offered hand. “Ambassador Lewis, I’ve heard so much about you.”

“The Sun Gods are surrounded by such beauty,” Kyros told her with a smile, as he looked at all the women.

Six watched his sister anticipate Kyros’ greeting, while Ray studied the man who held his daughter’s attention.

Kyros turned to Skye and their eyes held for a moment before he spoke.

“Princess Skye, it’s nice to see you again.” He held out a hand and she immediately placed hers inside.

  “Kyros…welcome to our home.”

Slowly, he bent and kissed the back of her hand, then lifted to stare into her brown eyes.

  “Thank you for having me.”

Isabelle also watched her daughter and the handsome new Ambassador before looking at her husband. Ray winked at her and she smiled.
