“This is incredible,” I murmured. “Plate armor was utterly useless against it. Our crossbows can penetrate, but not like this.”
“Indeed, it is a weapon we had developed here in Cegelia, although our intelligence suggests that our troublesome neighbor has it as well,” the general said.
He passed the armor to a nearby soldier and looked me straight in the eye.
“We would be happy to provide Fulgrem with some arms as a goodwill gesture, and perhaps we could come to a deal,” The general’s face turned deathly serious, a huge contrast to his earlier demeanor.
“If,” the general said. “Your king helps us with the troublesome neighbors I mentioned. My king, and indeed, the whole nation, would feel much more at ease if you help us with our problem.”
I looked at the weapon in my hand and stroked along its wood finish.
“I think my king would love to work with you,” I said with a grin of my own.
??? - ???
The hopeless sobs of Solie filled the air as I dug the heel of my boot into her back.
“Are you sure? You better not be making this up!” I growled as my guard slave pitifully streaked out some words onto the cold floor.
I sighed as I released my hold on her and motioned for the other two guard slaves to pick her worthless rump off the ground.
Solie sobbed even harder, the tears parting along her melted flesh. I tried a different tack as this information she had was of the highest importance.
I ran a hand along her cheeks and make a soft cooing noise that I knew she liked. Over the decades, I had developed many ways to ensure the slaves would be under my complete control. That was all I wanted, after all.
Control and beauty.
Everyone submitted to me utterly, in the end. However, that control meant that their minds were far more simple that I liked, which required a different approach to get what I want.
“Solie,” I cooed as I gripped a part of her melted flesh. “Tell me again, what did you see?” I raised my lips in a fake smile to the guard slave.
“It was him. He saw me. He even called my name. He remembered.” Solie said in a huff.
“What happened after?” I asked in a cool voice, my finger pinching her flesh a little harder.
“Ahh,” Solie muttered as my perfectly sharp nails drew some blood from her cheeks. “He chased after me, but I escaped and came straight here to you, Mistress.”
I hissed as I glared into Solie’s dull eyes. In this world, Solie would be a very powerful force to be reckoned with. Decades of training, discipline and cruelty had turned her into a weapon.
I could take it further though. Turn her into a doll that had no feeling, no emotion, only obedience.
But I enjoyed it this way far more. These three especially, my loyal guard slaves. The ecstasy I felt when they suffered was too good to ignore. Even after all these decades.
“Say it,” I whispered as some of her blood leaked onto my fingers. “Say his name.”
Solie hesitated, her lips quivering as she tried to focus with my fingers pressing down on her cheeks.
“O…O…” Solie sputtered. “Ordan.”
My eyes rolled up of their own accord as I released the guard slave, her presence forgotten.
I had heard, in my childhood, that our brains were made of millions of cells that light up as we perceived our world. It was a theory that an elder had.
If it were true, all the cells of my brain lit up at once. Pure ecstasy and pleasure mixed into a white light that coursed along my mind. I could feel my tongue become slack as I shivered in place.
There was only one thought, one voice, one purpose. I knew it was the only thing I would focus on for the rest of my days.
One name reverberated in my head.
Ordan. Ordan. Ordan.
My love, my muse, my everything.
All mine.
Mine.
Ordan.
Mine.
END BOOK 2
Afterword
All righty, I want to sincerely thank you for finishing my second book ever. Seriously, you are even awesomer, especially if you read through the first book too.
I’ve never wrote a sequel to any of my stories before, so it added some constraints and challenges that were fun to overcome.
I have good news! I have a line editor going over book 1 and fingers crossed, they will make it even better than before. It’s been real hard to find an editor that doesn't bust the bank and does more than simply adding commas. I’ve still to see anything from them, so if it works out, I’ll update the blurb on book 1 with the edited date. If not, then you know I’ll still be on the lookout for an editor that I can afford. Once I find a good one, I can reach a place where all my books are edited.
I want to reach a point where I can release a paperback version of my books, book 1 for now. I love my own cover for it! I gotta be honest with ya, it will literally be for me, so I can have an edited, perfect copy of my book in my own physical hands. I’ll put it next to my computer so I can marvel at it while writing my next story. A man can dream, although I hope it can be soons. You can grab a copy too if you like too!
At the end of the day, I hope this series has brought a little joy into your life, wherever you are. It’s pretty dark times we live in so I hope you stay safe out there.
It would be appreciated if you could write a review for my second ever book. Every single review helps me out, and I hope that enough people take an interest in me to keep writing stories for you. More reviews on the first book would be great too, but I’ll leave it up to you, I’m just so glad you read my books!
Don’t worry, Ordan’s adventures are far from over. I will be working on the start of another wee series for you. All my stories will be harems so don’t worry about that; I love this genre too much to write anything else!
If you would like to reach me, for any reason at all, drop me a line on my email at : [email protected]
Or contact me on Facebook here.
Any thoughts on this story would be interesting to read so don't be shy in letting me know your thoughts.
I would also like to thank another author who pushed me to write books to begin with. Marcus Sloss writes harem fantasy, sci-fi as well as normal fantasy so please feel free to check out his books too if you are interested in the genre. He is awesome and regularly pumps out quality stuff.
There is also the Harem lit facebook group you can go to for more books of this genre too.
Lastly, here’s another wee quiz on the secrets of the novel. I think I’ll put this into every one of my books, it’s too much fun for me! Just something for you to think about and to get your thoughts churning.
If you are confident in your answers, then be sure to drop me a message and I can remark if you are on the right lines or not.
Thank you. Stay safe.
