Vindication- Ties That Bind

  Krista wrinkled her nose as she asked her sister, “Who can’t call yet? Evan?”

  “Yes, Evan, I want to tell both of you at the same time.”

  Just then Dana’s cell played Willie Nelson’s On the Road Again. Krista knew she had programmed that ringtone for the rehab center, for Evan. She said it was because he was on the road to recovery. Dana answered the phone and immediately put Evan on speaker.

  “Hey Danes, It's eight, told ya I’d call at eight.”

  “Hey you, you’re on speaker. Tom and I have something I want to tell share with you and Krista.”

  Tom nudged Dana’s arm, “Go ahead tell them.”

  Dana inhaled deeply as her eyes sparkled like the sun bouncing off the ocean. “We are having twins. Not just twins, but a boy and a girl.”
