To my niece Olivia Ortiz. You're full of life and have a smile that brightens up any room. Keep smiling, even when you're sad, and know how infectious it is. You make others happier just by being around.
To my baby boy Aiden Ortiz. You’re a piece of my heart that's on the outside of my body. You’re an absolute blessing. My hope for you is that this book helps you realize that there are alternative pathways you can take towards your version of happiness - and if you're willing to work 2, 3, 4 times as hard, you won't have to compromise responsibility to achieve it either. Like your grandpa always said: “todo se puede hacer dentro de las reglas.” Thank you for looking at me with the kindest eyes in the world.
