Special thanks to Julie Latham for planting the seed that grew into Considerate Carriages.

Thanks to the Kinderhook ladies, for being the first book club to read this book. And to my two Bronxville book clubs for being so supportive. Thank you also to all of my Junior League of Bronxville friends who have offered me endless encouragement.

Thanks to my talented photographer cousin, Syrie Moskowitz, who squeezed in my photo shoot in between jaunts around the world.

To my Frisbee catching wonder dog Rufus, who didn’t leave my side for fourteen years and to my eternal puppy Oscar, thank you both for being my favorite writing buddies.

To the keepers of my heart, Molly, Tommy, Connor, Riley, Reagan, Maddox and Mason. Thanks to my mother-in-law Betsy for treating me like her own daughter and for taking Molly on all sorts of fabulous adventures so I could write. Thank you for always being there for me. Thanks to Tracy for reading early pages and to Jon for making fun of the risqué scenes. Thank you to my brothers-in-law Bond and Paul for learning to deal with the loud and opinionated Moskowitz girls and to my sisters for always being there.

Thank you to my mother for handing me my first Writer’s Market and saying “This is your chance to become a writer,” when I was too sick to teach anymore. Thank you to my father, my hero, for all the times you rescued me, whether it was when the prom limo driver bailed or when you drove twenty-four hours round trip to bring me home from Ohio when I was sick.

Finally to Doug and Molly, thank you both for giving me my happily-ever-after.
