  “Ke Ke Ke Ke!”

The group of Ghoulfiends continued to laugh in excitement, but the towering figure furrowed its brows angrily as it snapped, “Silence!”

Its loud roar echoing throughout the cave soon brought silence to the once excited Ghoulfiends who then looked towards it with fear and reverence, seeing this scene the Orckusfiend nodded its head in satisfaction.

It then looked towards Feng Yu and spoke, “Human, did you think you would get away? Haha! The Adaption Phase hasn’t ended yet. You must be dreaming. Humph! Today I’m going to---”

Before he could finish speaking, Feng Yu who had remained silent looked towards the Orckusfiend with a calm expression as he finally spoke, “Fiendkin, although I do not know what happens to the humans you capture. I do know that I won’t be hindered by you here today.”

As if struck by a lightning bolt all of the fiends became stunned, they looked towards Feng Yu with their red eyes gleaming with a hint of ridicule as waves of laughter quickly followed.

  “Ke Ke Ke Ke Ke!”

“Hahahaha! Human! You must be the greatest idiot of all humankind that I have ever seen!” The Orckusfiend said as it roared with laughter, soon though, its face became sharp.

It looked towards Feng Yu with a ruthless expression and spoke, “Break his limbs and bring him to me alive! I want to see what kind of expression he will give when I torture him in the ‘pit’ for a few months! I will deliver you to the Zone Commander with neither spirit nor flesh!”

“Ke Ke as lord chieftain commands!”

  “Attack!”

The Ghoulfiends hearing his command promptly responded as they quickly made their way towards Feng Yu with full strides turning into multiple blurs.

  Sou! Sou! Sou!

As Feng Yu saw this, a fiery gleam lit up in his eyes, he rose to his feet and rushed towards an unnoticed corner of the cave. Quickly, his form vanished into a small and narrow gap that was created recently.

The Orckusfiend upon seeing Feng Yu's went mad as he roared, “Damn! Chase him quickly! Don’t let him get away again!”

The Ghoulfiends hearing his new command quickly reacted by changing the direction of their charge, rushing towards the narrow gap. However, before they could reach its entrance, there was a change.

“Humph! As if I’d give you that chance, break for me!” Feng Yu’s voice said, soon after followed by a loud sound.

Shing~! The cry of sword resounded once more, as semi-transparent sword beam shot towards the ceiling of the narrow gap.

Bang! The rocky ceiling was instantly destroyed by a mighty sword beam causing a mass of rocks to fall covering up the narrow passageway.

Whoosh! Not wasting any time, the figure of Feng Yu continued to swiftly escape through the extremely narrow path at high speeds despite his cultivation essence issues. He glanced at dusty scenery behind him while running as he thought to himself, “I just have to survive for a few more minutes, that way this so-called adaption phase will pass giving me the ability to quickly get out of here with my .”

It was a good line of thought, but reality had different plans.

“Human! Die!” An earth-shaking roar soon echoed throughout the hollow and narrow passage as a massive boom shortly after followed.

Boom! A dominant force instantly destroyed the clusters of rocks that blocked the entrance of the narrow passage.

Beyond the clouds of dust was the towering figure of the Orckusfiend who stood directly before the entrance of the path. It placed both of its hands onto the narrow walls gripping it with its fingers deep into its surface as it started to push them apart and roared in a barbaric manner, "Urrooooogh!"

Rumble! The narrow path that trailed towards a relatively distant section of the Gloomy Forest soon started to shake, as the terrifying force behind the Orckusfiend’s strength was causing the passage to widen bit by bit.

As the narrow passageway extended, chunks of large rocks then began to fall towards the ground creating an apocalyptic scene.

However, these weren’t the only danger.

The Ghoulfiends that had been on standby due to the previous collapse now had clear room to maneuver. Quickly, they rushed through the now widening passageway as they continued their pursuit of Feng Yu while skillfully avoiding the falling rocks.

Soon after vanishing within the darkness.

  ∞ ∞ ∞

It was a terrible but also marvelous scene, as a ray of sword light would beam its way towards the depts of a dark pathway leaving behind a lingering trail of glowing light the illuminated its previous surroundings. A myriad of broken rocks would fall from the crumbling surroundings threatening to crush anything that came in their path as the narrow path visibly lengthened by the seconds.

However, the ray of sword light would swiftly make its way directly through the falling boulders leaving behind smoothly cut surfaces on the split wreckages.

Not far back, were a group vaguely visible fellows, barely noticeable due to their figures blending in with the darkness leaving only their bright red eyes to illuminate their trails.

  Sou! Sou! Sou!

As the figures moved, a trail of two red lights would follow behind them as they swiftly made their way around the falling boulders with some even going as far as to break through the rocks with brute force quickly gaining on the ray of sword light before them.

Feng Yu noticing the situation frowned, his figure shrouded by his Half-Step Sword Intent started to slow down as he cursed inwardly, “Damn! Why do I always have such terrible luck with Mystic Realms? I cannot maintain this state for long periods not without essence energy. I have to slow them down while moving forwards before my Half-Step Sword Intent fades!”

He firmly gripped Black-lightning as he was prepared to remove his sword intent being used to flee and use it once more to cause another great collapse. The nearing Ghoulfiends seeing his actions sneered as they pushed forward with even more speed becoming ghostly shades.

However, right before Feng Yu could launch his attack. The world itself had a change.

The Orckusfiend who was busy pushing apart the passageway so more and more Ghoulfiends could chase after Feng Yu became shocked as it felt this change.

It looked towards the sky and roar in anger, "Damn! Why now--?" But before it could finish its words, it quickly became frozen.

The world stood still as everyone, and everything had stopped moving. A sound that only Feng Yu and all the other outside practitioners could hear resounded inside of their minds.

  “Body Adaption Phase: 99.9%.”

  “Body Adaption Phase: 100%.”

  “Body Adaption Phase: Complete!”

As Feng Yu and the others heard this, they were surprised. However, as they could not move, they could only express it in their minds. Soon though, the situation once more had another change.

Rumble! The world of the Ancient Dragon Battlefield shook violently as a bright golden light shrouded the entirety of its skies, a gentle, but indifferent female voice echoed throughout heavens sounding within minds of all creatures and humans.

“The Adaption Phase has now ended, the battlefield’s 10000th Battlefield War will now commence!”

As they heard the voice, the individuals couldn’t help but grow excited as their heroic spirits rose to its peak. Feng Yu who was currently in a desperate situation also started to get excited as he noticed some very peculiar changes within his body.

However, while all of this was occurring, in a distant location far away from the golden light that shrouds all or rather, ‘most’ of the Ancient Dragon Battlefield was a dark grotto. It was as if this place was a shielded from all source light, leaving behind only dense assortments of shadows that formed because the rays that shone across the distant horizon.

One shadow was quite strange, as it stood quietly within a sea of surrounding shadows and looked towards the location of the light sources with an expression that was shrouded by the darkness. It spoke, “I
t is this place destinies heir will rise, and the rule of shadows will forever reign supreme...”

As it finished its statement, its eyes glowed in a dark light as its entire being gave a strange fluctuation. This pressure was not Aura, and neither was this energy Qi. It was a power belonging to an entirely different level of lifeform, but one that will never again be seen in this world...

  Chapter 81

  10% Aura Condensation, Alarmed Fiendkins!

The heaven was shrouded by bright golden lights, as a divine energy filled the world. The various practitioners and fiendkin gathered within the Ancient Dragon Battlefield each carried different expression with most of them being that of excitement. Of course, this was only visible within their eyes as they were still currently within a state of stillness.

One figure of a red-haired youth was filled with even more excitement than the others as his gleamed with brilliant rays. He thought to himself, “My essence energy has achieved 10% Aura Condensation! How could this be possible? I haven’t even advanced to the stage Aura Disciple yet.”

As Feng Yu observed the scene within his body, there was an unusual development that could be noticed.

Around a small organ that connected to many robust crystal-like golden veins were a group of energies that form clusters. These energies were red-like flames with a vague hint of multi-colored streaks of lightning that sparked about randomly. If one looked carefully, they would feel a different aura around these energies making them feel like a life of their own.

Feng Yu seeing this scene within his body couldn’t help but wonder, “If it is like this now, then what would happen once I awaken my Dantian and truly breakthrough to Aura Disciple stage? It seems that I much to look forward to...”

As Feng Yu was lost in his thoughts, there was a new change.

With the sound of a loud ‘bang,’ the world started to shake as all lifeforms began to undergo a strange change.

The fiendkin each started t0 glow with a dark light of different intensities, a few special fiendkin such as the Ghostfiends glowed in ominous green and dim purplish lights. However, the practitioners had also started to glow with a variety of different lights some with elemental and non-elemental color’s being of a pale white tone, while some special humans glowed with unusual sights.

Quickly though, all lights started to diverge as the gentle but indifferent voice once again sounded throughout the world.

“Now that you ‘Challengers’ have all converted your Aura’s and Qi’s to that Battle Force. You will each officially be able to partake in the Ancient Dragon Battlefield Wars. Your objectives are simple, complete your ‘War Commands,’ and you will be able to earn points. These points are known as ‘War Points,’ each point will allow you to become one step closer to gaining access to the Ancient Dragon Palace. There, you will be allowed to exchange these points for precious cultivation techniques usable in your world as well as other items and artifacts.”

“To enter the Ancient Dragon Palace, you will need at least 1 million points each of which can be gathered from listed war commands. So long as you ‘will’ for them to appear they will appear before your conscious mind, simply will for the war command that would you like to challenge and accomplish the commands within its given time limit. Failure to do so will not only result in you losing points, but you also face certain repercussions.”

As the voice said this, the world became silent once more as if it was waiting for the practitioners gathered to remember its words.

“Interesting... so it was like this, it will be quite a brutal battle,” Feng Yu thought as he recalled her previous words, quickly the voice once more continued.

“Good! Ancient Dragon Battlefield War Begin!” The voice said as it echoed throughout the world for a short period.

Pheeww! The bright lights that shrouded the world quickly receded as the world once more returned to its normal state.

Bang! With a thunderous boom, Feng Yu’s figure that had been released from the state of stillness instantly transformed into a streak of bright red lightning. His figure beamed through the remaining 2 kilometers of the narrow passageway as if distance had lost all meaning.

As he felt this terrifying change in his speed, Feng Yu couldn’t help but shout in excitement, “Hahaha! Such incredible speed it’s no different from an actual Aura Disciple of the 1 Tier. If I were to use my bloodline along with my sword intent, then I am fully confident that I will capable surpassing the speeds of 3 Tier Aura Disciples and even if my battle power would not be able to defeat them, escaping is no issue.”

As Feng Yu was feeling excited about his increase in strength, the fiends behind him also had changes of their own

  Sou! Sou! Sou!

The skinny but fast Ghoulfiends each started to glow with a dark kind of energy which pushed their speeds to new limits causing them to move like black rays of lights. Their figures quickly vanishing into the depths of the forest where Feng Yu had disappeared.

BOOM! Following a loud boom, the towering form of the Orckusfiend launched into the sky breaking through the surface of the cave causing the entire cave to collapse. He then looked towards the location of depths of the gloomy forest where Feng Yu’s form had vanished and complained, “Damn human! The Rain Commander will certainly kill this one for sure if he were to be found out that I saw a human and couldn’t catch it. It looks like I’ll have to alert the other camps.”

The Orckusfiend then lifted its head to the heavens and commanded, “All fiendkin camps hear me! There is a human among us!”

His voice rippled through the sky spreading further and further into the depths of the forest, oddly enough, the harsh rain couldn’t stop the sound from spreading to a significant fraction of the woods.

At the depths of the forest, a few peculiar campgrounds could be seen, some looking like ancient tribal temples and others looking like crudely built villages with barricades made of dead wood and thatched huts of varying sizes.

Still, while these camps were different, they each carried a similar prominent symbol belonging to that of a ‘雨,' which is a symbol representing their primary influence.

If one looked closely within these camps, they would see groups of strange creatures either on patrol or standby, some of them being of large or small figures. Currently, a few of these creatures were engaged in idle conversation as they sat within their camp structures to shield themselves from the harsh rain.

“Keh Keh! It looks like we have another Battlefield War upon us, I’ve been itching for a good fight against the humans for a long time... I wonder when the Zone Commander will send out the official commands.” A short dark green creature with a large nose said.

“Keh! The Adaption Phase has just ended, and we now have access to a fraction of our sealed powers. The Zone Commanders would have already started heading to Center of All Zone’s for the War Conference as no human could possibly be in the centra----" As a similar looking creature dressed in thick armor started to reply, he was suddenly disturbed by a distant but loud echo.

“All fiendkin camps here me! There is a human among us!” The voice said.

“Eh?! What!” A figure said as it spat out the food made of unusual but plump looking insects that it was currently eating.

“Which bastard is speaking nonsense?! How can there be humans in the Central Regions so soon?” A creature said in anger.

“That’s the voice of Matuk, the Ork Chief of those Ghoulfiends!”

“Eh? That fellow? Well if that’s the case, there can be only one reason for a human to be here...” A more robust looking dark green skin creature said while looking towards an elderly looking dark green creature dressed in a colorful robe and a shouldering a large staff.

The elder creature nodded as it glanced around each creature in the hut before speaking, “This human is certainly the Chosen among Chosen! If we can capture it and offer it to Rain Commander, we will earn big!”

  Upon hearing this, the cre
ature within room became stunned but soon their eyes filled with greed as they stood up in uniform and started arranging themselves.

The other camps became shocked as they heard the voice of the Orckusfiend, but soon, they each began reacted in swift and different ways.

“Move quickly! We must be the first to capture the human!”

“The time for our Dark Wolfmen Tribe to rise has come! Let’s go!”

“Hmph! The earth is our domain, how can others even hope to catch the human before our Sub Terranean Clan?”

As the voices of the different Fiendkin camp races echoed throughout the raining forest, the beaming figure of Feng Yu had finally managed to shake off his pursuing Ghoulfiends.

A bright beam of red light quickly struck into the ground in a field of dense shrubberies, soon after condensing into the form of a red-haired youth. His face was no longer covered with mud as the harsh waters of the downpour had cleaned away the dirt revealing his handsome appearance.

Feng Yu looked at the dense trees and bushes behind him while speaking furiously, “That son of a b-tch, I will certainly get my revenge!”

As he said this, his eyes glowed with a sharp killing intent, but soon, he collected himself and pondered, “So I say, but I am currently no match for even a mid-level Aura Disciple realm practitioner of the 4 Tier much less one at the True Foundation realm. It looks like I’ll need to find a place to consolidate my new strength and then strive to quickly breakthrough to the Aura Disciple Realm.”

But as he said this, he couldn’t help but look around the dense dark and gloomy forest. Vaguely, the sound of strange beasts could be heard despite the pouring rain. Feng Yu frown and spoke, “Tsk! Finding a place here to hide truly is easier said than done, especially after that damn creature’s outcry. It can’t be helped, I’ll have to may do with the current environment.”

Upon saying this, he was about to move towards a more covert space, but, there was a change.

Ping! “Your War Commands list has been updated!” A voice said.
