“The same! Perhaps you’ve already read them, then.”
“Mr. Snopes,” Edmund called from his office. “We will go over the count’s matter when you return, correct, sir?”
William gazed out the window at the spring sunshine that warmed the office air. It was a day for Bach: music that was light, melodic, gallant. He felt the first tremors of a piece as he turned back to his junior.
“Yes, Edmund. I can’t think of anything I’d like more.”
