“Diane, I’m going to come if you keep that up”, he panted, his head thrashing from side to side.

In response, I sucked even harder, and felt Cole start to move more urgently, clearly turned on by the activity he could see in front of him. Bram suddenly stilled, and thrust upwards, and I sucked as hard as I could as I felt his hot, sticky release hit the back of my throat. When Bram stopped pulsing, he let himself slip out of my mouth, and propped me up on two hands, wriggling around so that he could reach a hand under me. Bram started to put gentle pressure on my clitoris, and almost immediately I began my own climax, squeezing Cole as I panted and gasped. Once Cole felt my orgasm begin, he started moving more urgently, beginning to thrust deeply and quickly, and before long, he was grunting with his own release, and the three of us collapsed on the bed in a tangle of limbs. Finally I spoke.

  “Nice bed”.

Bram laughed, then started stoking my hair. I had collapsed with my head against his chest, but sideways, and Cole was still at my back, spooning me.

“Now, since you like it so much, would you object to a TV on the wall over there? No? I was also thinking maybe that other wall would be a good place to put a mirror. You know, so you can check your clothes before you go out. Or, maybe we could use it for other things”.

I raised my head to stare at him.

“Bram Charleston, do you mean a sex mirror? Hmmm, I don’t know”.

Bram turned his head to look at me, the look on his face showed that he thought I was serious at first, then he realised I was joking.

“Diane, you naughty girl. You’d like that as much as I would, as much as Cole would. Wouldn’t you? Tell me it wouldn’t turn you on to watch me going down on you, but I won’t believe you”.

I sucked in a breath at the thought, then tried to continue playing the game that I knew was lost.

“Well, maybe I’ll let you put a mirror on the wall. Just for checking my outfits, you know?”

Cole chuckled behind me, and put an arm around my waist.

“Yeah, like either of us believe you wouldn’t be as much into that as we would. I need a nap, woman. You had a good long sleep this afternoon, but neither of us did, and after that I could do with some sleep before round two”.

I giggled, then drifted off to sleep thinking about round two, and then thinking about round two in front of a mirror. I had pleasant dreams, as short as they were, for neither man seemed to need much sleep that night.

  Nine

Early the next morning, I woke up and tried to wriggle out from between the tangle of arms and legs that were surrounding me. Cole cracked an eye sleepily and drowsily lifted his arm and his leg to let me slide out from under him. As I headed to the door, he asked where I was going.

“I need to pee, silly. I’m just heading out to the portaloo”.

“Why would you do that when you’ve got a functioning bathroom?”

I turned to stare at him.

“Bathroom? You finished the bathroom too? When did you do that?”

“Well, it’s not finished, we’ve still got to put in the light fittings, and finish fitting out the cabinetry, but the plumbing has been done and –“

Whatever else he would have said I wasn’t planning to stick around to listen to as I dashed to the bathroom, my hands going to my face to smother my gasp of wonder. After making do with dips in the dam to wash, and trips to the portaloo, what I saw in front of me looked like heaven.

Clearly, the bathroom had been designed to cater not only for our unconventional relationship, but also for the fact that both Cole and Bram were large men. The shower was the size of a small bathroom in itself, and there were three waterfall showerheads, as well as three hand held shower heads set into the tiled wall. The bath was enormous, it looked almost like an outdoor spa, but it was clearly an indoor version, although large enough for all of us to get in at the same time.

I turned to where the frame was for the vanity basins, and smiled to see three basins set into the frame, which was still awaiting the drawers and benchtop. The basins were set into some plywood as a temporary measure, and I pictured the granite I had chosen, confident that it would complement the woodwork that Bram would be installing as he finished it. I was going to stick my head out into the room to thank both of them for their hard work, when I remembered my earlier urgency, and closed the door, seating myself on the toilet with a sigh. When I left the room, after flushing the toilet, and washing my hands in the sink, I paused to see both men smiling sleepily at me, seeming to wait for my approval.

“It’s beautiful. Go back to sleep, I think you guys have earned your rest. I’ll wake you when breakfast is done”.

After finding my toiletries in bags inside the room, I enjoyed a long shower, luxuriating in the hot water, then hurriedly dressed in the main room before heading to the kitchen. I was just about ready to yell out that breakfast was ready, when I heard a truck pull up, and through the floor to ceiling window I saw Blair hopping out of his vehicle. He saw me in the kitchen, and a smile spread across his face, so like Cole’s smile that I couldn’t help but smile back. He headed towards the door, and as he opened it, I frowned a little as I realised it must have been unlocked all night, then shrugged. This was a remote location, and Bram especially had good hearing. I reasoned at first that everything would be ok, that he would have heard anyone creeping about, then I remembered how he could be lost in the moment with me and his guard might be down. I resolved then that we really should start locking doors of an evening, especially with a baby on the way. My reverie was interrupted as Blair approached the workbench, looking hopeful.

“Since you’ve now got a working kitchen, does this mean you’ll be baking again?”

I laughed as I snapped the teatowel at him.

“Cheeky. With people tramping through working on the house? There’ll be plaster dust in everything. Maybe I might get a chance, maybe not, I’ll see, in the meantime, do you want some breakfast? There’s only three chairs though, I’m afraid, Bram’s been too busy to finish the set”.

“I’m tough. I can stand, but if my brother and Bram don’t get here soon, I’m likely to eat all the food”.

With a growl, Cole appeared first, snatching a kiss from me before loading up his plate and taking a seat. Bram appeared afterwards, and repeated the process. That left only me, and when I took my seat, with a plate that only held some toast, I saw three pairs of eyes staring at me quizzically.

“I’m feeling a little seedy this morning. Tea and toast is all I trust myself to eat right now”.

Cole put a hand out to cover my hand.

“Sorry, princess. It’s morning sickness, huh? Look, tomorrow, you stay in bed, we’ll bring you some toast before you get up. Mum used to say that if she ate before she got out of bed, the sickness wasn’t so bad”.

Once breakfast was done, the men all shooed me out of the kitchen and cleaned up, telling me to take things easy until I felt better. I did feel a little tired, but there was nowhere in the house that I could rest, as the place was a hive of activity now that the finishing touches were being applied. In the end, after getting in everyone’s way, Bram gently suggested that I might like to do some window shopping to pick out baby furniture. My old furniture from my house was going to be taken from storage and used until something stronger was made, Bram didn’t even have faith in the sturdiness of my couch, although maybe it was the size that he didn’t like.

As my house had been small, I had of course bought compact furniture, and I couldn’t imagine how my couch would be long enough for either man to stretch out on if they wanted to laze around at times. Of course, once I saw all the adorable baby goods available at the shops, I couldn’t resist buying a few things. I looked at the cots and change tables, then discarded them as potential purchases as I knew that Bram could build something far superior, but I bought some linens, some nappies, and even some basic clothing. I stocked up on vests and singlets, but was stumped when it came to non gender spec
ific clothing. I knew that everyone was expecting a boy, but I stood in the girl’s section, running little frilly dresses through my fingers, sorely tempted to add a couple to my trolley. Another woman was doing the same, although her belly was very large and round, so clearly she was much further along than I. She turned to smile at me.

“They’re all so gorgeous, I don’t know what to buy”.

“Me neither. Are you having a girl, do you know?”

“Yes, I checked. I know a surprise is nice, but I wanted to get the shopping done before the baby’s born, so I thought maybe I should. What about you?”

“No, I really don’t know. Everyone seems to think it’s a boy, so I suppose I really should buy boy’s clothes, but these are so pretty”.

  She laughed.

“Maybe you should hold off a while, it’s obviously still early days for you, maybe later on you’ll either want to know for sure, or just gamble a bit with the shopping?”

“Yeah, I think I’ll just buy the basic stuff for now, and get the cute stuff later”.

By unspoken mutual consent, we started pushing our trolleys towards the checkouts, but with an exclamation, I stopped at the end of the aisle, grabbing something from the end display.

“How beautiful! My baby will look just like a little bear”, I exclaimed as I held up a little one piece suit, waggling the little tail at the woman, and showing her the hood that had two little ears on it. I dropped it in my trolley, smiled, and we continued on. We went through two separate registers, but met again as we were leaving the store, and laughed again. I held out my hand.

“I’m Diane. Look, I’m a bit thirsty, do you want to go to that café and have a cup of tea or something? You look a bit tired”.

“Hi, Diane, I’m Lesley. I’d love to stop and sit for a while. My feet are killing me”.

We sat in the café for long enough to need more than one pot of tea each, Lesley regaling me with stories of all the joys I had to look forward to, and showing me her swollen ankles. After laughing together for a long time, the tone of the day changed as Lesley told me her story. I was shocked at first, as we were still strangers, but she obviously needed to talk to someone, and I was there. As Lesley mopped up her tears with some paper napkins, I took out my phone and waved it at her.

“Lesley, you sound like you need someone to talk to. I can’t guarantee I will always pick up, because reception is pretty spotty where I live, but if you text me, I will call you back. What’s your number, and I’ll prank you so we each have each other’s numbers”.

On my way home, I pulled over when I heard my phone ringing, wondering if it was Lesley already, or someone else. It was Cole.

“Diane? Are you ok? You’ve been gone for ages, we started to worry about you”.

“I’m sorry Cole, I made a new friend and we got chatting. I lost track of time. I’m on my way home now though. Are you at home? Can we get reception from there?”

“We pushed the hill back over the roof today. If you go up on the hill, you can get reception. It’s starting to get dark, are you going to be ok driving by yourself?”

  I snorted.

“I’ll be fine. I’ll keep an eye open for kangaroos, I know they move around at dusk. What are we doing about dinner? Do you want me to pick something up, or is dinner already started?”

“We’ve only just finished work, so if you could get something, that would be great, whatever you like Diane, you know Bram and I will eat just about anything, so long as there’s plenty. Blair’s still here, so can you get enough for him too?”

I managed to keep a straight face as I placed my order at the local dumpling house. I was sure they thought I was feeding a large crowd, not just three hungry shifters and a pregnant woman who had skipped lunch and was now in danger of starving to death.

When I pulled up at the house, the door opened and I found myself hustled inside, with assurances that all bags and parcels would be brought in from the car. When Cole came in with a handful of bags, I pulled him in close for a hug, motioning for Bram to join us when he entered the room. I breathed in a sigh of contentment as I was enfolded in two warm hugs, appreciating just how lucky I was before I stepped back and smiled at them, promising to explain later. I giggled as I saw the spare chairs at our table, they were my old chairs from my little house, and I smirked as I thought of any of the men trusting in the spindly legged chair being able to hold his weight. Accordingly, I sat in one of them, not missing the small smile on Blair’s face as he realised he could sit on something more solid.

“You have to prioritise more furniture, dude”, Blair said as he reached for some noodles from the assorted boxes in the middle of the table, “the first time someone tries to lean back on one of those toy things, it will snap for sure”.

Bram grabbed some dumplings and heaped them on his plate, sprinkling them liberally with soy sauce before he spoke.

“Maybe I’ll find some time soon, now that the house is almost done. Yum, these are good, Diane. Is there chilli sauce too? Oh double yum. Cole said you met someone today? In the baby wear shop? That’s funny”.

“It is a bit”, I said as I chased a noodle around my bowl with my chopsticks. I was never as good with them as I would have liked to be. “Her name is Lesley and she’s only got a month to go before she delivers her little girl. She’s lovely and we just started chatting. We talked for a long time, and after she told me her story, I really appreciated how lucky I am to have found you two, and your family”, I smiled as I pointed my chopsticks at Blair, who winked at me before grabbing more food. “Here I am, surrounded by love, sitting in my house, built by you and your packs, eating lots of food, but not everyone is that lucky. You’re excited about our baby, do you know what the father of Lesley’s baby did when she told him she was pregnant? He told her it wasn’t his, called her a slut, and told her to abort it if she wanted to stay with him. What scum!”

“Well, she obviously didn’t stay with him, because you said she’s pregnant, so good for her”, said Blair through a mouthful of food. “I hope she kicked him to the curb”.

“Nah, she couldn’t, he wouldn’t go. She couldn’t afford another place on her own, so had to move back in with her father, which isn’t great. Apparently her Mum died a few years ago, and her father remarried a much younger woman, so has a second family, and she’s in the way. She can’t find anything else though, because she’s still on the lease where she lived with her ex, and he’s behind in his rent, so her credit rating is shot. She’s got a good job, but can’t convince anyone to give her a go. So I have a plan. You might think I’m crazy, because I just met Lesley, but I think she needs a hand, and I’d like to help her, but I want to run it past you two first”.

Bram looked at me, then Cole, then Blair.

“So, you want us to kick the ex out of the house so your new friend can move back in? Not a problem, what’s the address?”

  I rolled my eyes.

“It’s always straight to the violence with you guys, isn’t it?”

The three of them looked at each other, then shrugged, then at me.

“Well, if you don’t want us to deal with the ex, what can we do? You’ve obviously got an idea, although I like ours”.

“Of course you do, Cole, but why don’t we call your plan, Plan B, for now? No, I was thinking about how my problem could be turned around to do something good for something else. Remember how John wants his Nanna’s house, but she left it to me? Well, as I remember it, it was quite dated, but still solid, and of course, it’s in a great location. Before today, I was thinking that maybe it should be sold, and I would split the proceeds with John to settle this quickly, but I’ve changed my mind now. I want to keep the house, at least for now, and let Lesley rent it off us. She can afford to pay rent, but the rental market is so tight she just can’t get someone to give her a chance. If she rents from us, she gets a place to live, a place for her and her baby, and we will have an income from the rental. If there’s anything to be don
e to the house to get it ready, you guys are pretty handy, so what do you think?”

“If you think she’s reliable enough to look after the house, I don’t mind. You know we really don’t need the money, but it will come in handy to buy things for the baby and for this house, so, it’s fine by me, what about you, Cole?”

“No problem. All the more reason to make sure you get the house, Diane. Don’t tell her yet though, wait until after we meet with John and his solicitor first, in case you don’t get the house, you don’t want to get her hopes up”.

Blair looked at me where I sat on my chair.

“What about furniture? I guess she had to leave her old furniture behind? You can always put your old stuff in there. Then there’s no chance of me breaking a chair here and falling on my arse, is there?”

I laughed, even while I acknowledged that there might be some sense behind Blair’s idea.

  Ten

  “He did what?”

“He told her to have an abortion, would you believe that? I thought John was bad, but I don’t think even he would have come up with something that awful”.
