She frowns and leans in and gently takes my lips in hers. I slide her forward on my cock and she shudders.

“You like that, don’t you?” I ask as I rock her back and forth.

She smiles against my lips and nods.

  “You’re such a dirty girl,” I whisper.

“Teach me how to fuck, sir,” she breathes.

Oh hell, how much can a man take?

“You want to learn how to fuck, baby?” I breathe.

  She nods. “Yes, please.”

I lift her up and slam her back down onto my cock. She whimpers and her head falls back.

Up and down, I work her hard, all the while watching those beautiful tits bouncing around.

I’ve never seen anything more perfect.

“Sir,” she whimpers with her eyes closed. “You’re so deep. Can you feel how deep you are?”

  Oh God… I’m close.

“Give it to me, sir. I’ve been a bad girl. I need to be punished hard before my next class.”

  That’s it.

  Restraint gone.

I pick her up, slam her down hard, and she bounces up and down until I can’t hold it any longer. I screw up my face as I try, but it’s too hard—she’s too good.

I slam her down and I shudder as I come deep inside of her, and right on cue, she moans as her own orgasm finally arrives.

We sit for a moment and I shake my head.

“Oh my God,” I whisper. “That was smoking hot.”

She smiles sexily and gets off me, her mind still in her fantasy role. “I have to get back to class, sir.”

I smirk as I watch her. “Good girl, today, Ashley. You took your punishment well.”

Her dark eyes hold mine. “I’m going to be naughty in class from now on, sir.”

“Then you will be punished in the hardest possible way,” I reply flatly.

She smiles. “I’m counting on it.” With that she sashays into the bathroom and turns the shower on.

I smile as I fall back onto the bed.

Ashley Tucker, my all night fucker.

  Ashley

  “I won’t be long, I promise.” I sigh.

Cameron frowns. “You were with her all afternoon. I don’t see why you have to go back tonight.”

“She wants me to cook her favorite dinner.”

  Cameron shakes his head.

After spending the afternoon with Andrew’s family, I’m only just dropping Owen back with Cameron. Somehow, I’ve been coerced into making dinner for his mother tonight. “I felt like I couldn’t say no. She bought all the ingredients so I could cook it for her,” I add.

“Let me say no for you then,” Cameron snaps.

I roll my eyes. “I’ve got a splitting headache. I don’t even want to go.”

“So don’t.” He shakes his head in disgust.

“I just dropped Owen back so you weren’t alone tonight. I’ll be a few hours. You two go out for dinner and I’ll be home for dessert.”

“Fine,” he snaps. “Where do you want to go for dinner Owie?”

  “McDonald’s.” Owen smiles hopefully.

Cameron screws up his face. “That’s not happening. We’ll find somewhere else.”

I smile and kiss them both on the cheek. “See you both soon.”

The sound of a dishwasher is loud and I feel groggy. I look around and frown.

What the hell? Where am I? I sit up to find myself on Andrew’s mothers couch with a knitted blanket over me.

  Huh?

  What the hell?

  It’s daylight.

Last thing I remember, I was watching a movie after dinner. Hang on a minute.

  Horror dawns.

  Oh my God.

I jump up. “What… what time is it?” I stammer at Andrew’s mother as she walks out of the kitchen.

  “Just gone seven, love.”

“What? On Sunday?” I shriek. “What the hell? I slept all night?”

Oh my god, oh my fucking god. I hold my head in horror.

“You were so zonked out from the headache tablets I gave you that you went out like a light. I didn’t have the heart to wake you.”

My mouth drops open. I grab my bag and my keys. “See you later,” I scream as I run out the door. I scramble through my bag for my phone and dig it out.

Seventeen missed calls from Cameron, the last one just two hours earlier.

I check and it’s on silent.

My eyes close. Oh my God. How could this happen?

He’s going to freak. My eyes tear up and I dial his number as I start the car.

My heart is hammering hard in my chest.

I went to my ex-boyfriend’s and didn’t come home.

  This looks so bad.

  I get his voicemail.

  Hello, you’ve reached Cameron Stanton.

  Leave a message.

  No, no, no, no.

I drive like a bat out of hell, and when I get to the traffic lights I try again.

  Hello, you’ve reached Cameron Stanton.

  Leave a message.

My eyes tear up as I imagine him waiting for me when I didn’t come home.

  What must he think?

I can hardly see the road through my tears and I swipe them away angrily. I drive like a maniac, all while frantically trying to call him.

  Hello, you’ve reached Cameron Stanton.

  Leave a message.

“Ahh, stupid voicemail,” I scream. “Answer your fucking phone.”

For half an hour, I battle traffic.

I get to the hotel and park in the loading bay then run through the foyer and push the button on the lift. “Come on, come on, come on,” I whisper.

It arrives and I jump in and scrunch up my face as my tears pour free. This is a disaster.

I get to my floor and run down the long corridor, shoving the door open.

  My heart sinks.

The room is empty. “Cameron?” I call. “Owen?”

Their stuff is gone. I notice something on the coffee table and I run over.

My lone plane ticket is sitting there alongside a note.

  We’ve flown home early.

You may as well stay here.

  Ashley

My hands go over my mouth. He left.

He left me here in New York.

I’ve got to try and catch him at the airport. I glance around the room. Annoyingly, I need to get my things together. I just don’t have time for this shit. I run around and grab my toiletries and clothes from the bathroom. I pick up my shoes from the floor and throw them into my bag, zipping it up double speed.

  I can’t believe he left me here…

Damn Andrew’s mother. This is all her bloody fault. Why in the hell didn’t she wake me up? She knew exactly what she was doing, the old snake. Andrew wasn’t even at dinner with us last night. He had an engagement party to go to. I was there alone.

With one last glance around the room, I head out the door and run down the corridor with a deep sense of dread sitting heavily in my stomach.

This might be it for us. This really could be it. I messed up and what’s the first thing he does?

  Takes off with Owen.

I’m furious with him, too. How dare he take off?

He’s such a spoiled brat! Is this how he controls the situation? By cutting me out?

I get into the elevator and I slam the button four times. Who am I kidding? I didn’t come home from a date with my ex…

What do you expect, you idiot?

  Cameron - Two hours earlier.

I close up our suitcases and place them on top of the bed.

  I’m furious.

Like a lovesick puppy, I sat here and waited for her in the hotel room.

Like a lovesick fucking puppy, I waited up all night, worried, thinking she may be dead in a ditch.

  She’s with him. Her ex.

A man she shares a past with.

&n
bsp; I close my eyes at the thought. I can’t bear it and I feel sick to my stomach.

I’ve never been in love before. I’ve never even been close to feeling what I feel for Ashley.

And this is how she treats me. This is the amount of respect she has for me.

I have absolutely no control over my emotions and I can’t stand relying on someone else for my happiness. I’ve never felt so helpless in my life.

I’m done. She can go to hell.

I won’t be here when she gets back.

She can find someone else to be her puppy.

I wake Owen. “Come on, mate. We have to go home to LA.”

He frowns as he wakes up. “I thought we were going to the zoo?” he mumbles.

“Change of plans. I will take you to the zoo another time,” I reply flatly as I pack the last of the things into my overnight case.

I pick up my phone and check it once more. No calls, no messages.

What if she’s been hurt in an accident? The sick, nervous feeling in my stomach churns again. I go over to the window and stare out over the city as the sun comes up.

  Where are you?

  With him, my subconscious replies.

I look back over at Owen as he tries to wake up. It’s only 6.30am.

She’s fallen asleep after they had sex—it’s the only logical explanation.

I close my eyes in pain. I hate this.

I hate feeling like this. “Owen. Up,” I snap.

He goes to the bathroom as I line the bags up near the door and he gets dressed. I fish out Ashley’s plane ticket from my bag and put it onto the desk. With a heavy heart, I write her a note.

  We’ve flown home early.

You may as well stay here.

I just wish I knew she was safe before I left. What if something has happened to her?

God, I hate this shit. I put my head into my hands in disgust.

  “I’m hungry.” Owen yawns.

“We can have breakfast at the airport.”

  “Where’s Mom?” He frowns.

“Um.” I try think of an answer. “She’s with Andrew. She’ll be home later.”

Owen frowns as he processes the information.

I blow out a breath and continue packing until everything is done. I just wish I had confirmation that she was okay before I left.

What if something has happened to her? My heart asks.

It hasn’t, you fool, my head replies.

  “Let’s go, Owen.”

I grab the suitcases and he follows me out and down the corridor. When we get down to the lobby, I hold my phone in my hand and the doorman hails a cab.

We climb in. “Where to?” the driver asks.

  “The airport,” I reply flatly.

He pulls out into traffic and begins the journey when my phone rings. Ashley.

I frown as I stop myself answering it. I’m not losing my shit at her while Owen is with me.

It goes to voicemail and when it’s complete, I listen to it.

“Fucking voicemail,” she shrieks in a panic. “Oh my God, Cameron. I’m so sorry. I took some headache tablets and they must have knocked me out. I just woke up on Andrew’s mothers couch. I’m so sorry. I’m coming now.” She hangs up.

My blood pressure rises. The fury I feel is beyond belief and boils my blood.

  Does she think I’m stupid?

  “Was that Mom?” Owen asks.

I nod, lost in my thoughts.

“She’s going to be very angry that we left without her.”

I glance over at him and then back to the road.

“She might not come home. She might stay here.” He frowns, speaking with a worried little voice.

I take his hand in mine as I stare out the window. The phone rings again and I let it go to voicemail before I listen to it.

Ashley’s voice is frantic. “Oh my God, Cameron, forgive me. I love you. I’m on my way.”

I get a lump in my throat as I stare out the window.

Every ounce of my being wants to be as far away from her as possible, yet I know if I go and take Owen, it will be over for us.

“Can’t we just wait for Mom?” Owen asks. “She won’t be long. You know she’s slow all the time.”

I stare out the window as my mind goes into overdrive. Do I believe her?

  Do I trust her?

I think back to everything we’ve been through. Despite it all, she’s somehow learned to trust me again.

I took her child and she forgave me.

I lean my elbow up against the door as I hold my head, deep in thought.

  I don’t want to see her…but if I don’t go back…

  Ashley

The elevator finally opens out into the foyer and I run out, dragging my suitcase behind me when I get to the doorman. “I need a cab, please,” I blurt out in a panic.

The doorman frowns as he looks me up and down. “Are you alright?”

I nod, but in all seriousness, I’m on the edge of a complete meltdown.

“Won’t be a minute.” He goes out onto the street to hail me a cab and I wait in the drop off bay.

  What a disaster.

“Come on, come on,” I murmur as I look around frantically. “Where are all the bloody cabs?”

Everything was going so well. Why did I mess this up?

A cab pulls up, and low and behold...

Cameron is sitting in the backseat with Owen.

My face falls and he glares at me as he gets out of the cab and slams the door. He walks around to get Owen out.

  I smile through my tears.

  He came back.

He retrieves the suitcases out of the trunk and I wait on the spot.

He walks over, emotionless. “Get up to the room now before I strangle you in public,” he growls in a whisper.

“Oh my God, Cameron, I’m… I’m so sorry,” I stammer as the tears break the dam. “I had some headache tablets after dinner and…” I shake my head as I try to get my words out quicker. “And, honestly, I have no idea what happened, but I woke up on the couch this morning.”

  Cameron looks at me, deadpan.

“And my phone was on silent,” I add.

He narrows his eyes and storms over to the elevator. Owen and I run after him like little puppies.

We get in and the elevator attendant stands to the front and looks straight ahead.

Cameron stands at the back and I face him. “You have no idea of the horror I felt when I woke up and realized what had happened.” I shake my head. “And then I got here and you were gone,” I continue. I grab his hand and he tears it out of mine.

“Stop talking to me. I’m furious with you.” Cameron growls.

Owen stands next to the elevator attendant at the front and swings his arms, smiling stupidly up at him. The elevator attendant glances down at Owen and smirks.

“But, Cam… you came back.” I smile in relief. “You came back for me. Thank God you came back,” I whisper.

  Cameron looks at me, deadpan.

I smile broadly through my tears like a crazy person. “This means we’ve progressed. You really do love me.”

“You’re getting ahead of yourself. I hate you today.”

  “Liar.” I smirk.

Owen is still smiling goofily up at the elevator attendant as he swings his arms. “My mom and dad are fighting,” he announces.

The attendant nods subtly, trying not to be rude to Owen while remaining respectful to us.

“Sometimes they always kiss, but today my dad hates my mom,” he continues.

  “Owen,” Cameron snaps.

“Because my mom went out with my other dad and didn’t come home all night.”

The attendant drops his head, embarrassed.

“Owen Stanton. Stop telling everyone everything!” Cameron snaps.

Owen widens his eyes. “I think he hates me today, too. He’s very cranky, isn’t he?” he adds.

The attendant drops his head to hide his smirk.

/>   Cameron shakes his head, exasperated.

I wrap my arms around Cameron and smile against his chest as he stands still with his arms rigid by his sides.

“I love you, Mr. Stanton.” I smile up at him as I start to quickly kiss him all over. “And you came back for me and this is progress for us. I think Andrew’s mother tried to set me up and I’m so bloody angry with her,” I continue.

He moves his face away from me so I don’t kiss him, and I know he’s going to be furious over this for a while.

It doesn’t matter. He came back.

  There’s hope for us yet.

  * * *

  Trust is earned.

And little by little, Cameron has earned it. I think the turning point for us was when he came back for me in New York.

Furious beyond belief, yet he came back.

He lost his ever-living shit and didn’t talk to me for a week.

  But he stayed.

Every night, we stayed together as a family and, although he wasn’t talking to me and it was torture, he was in my bed and I felt safe.

That was twelve weeks ago and our little family has gotten into somewhat of a routine now. The nights that Cam would have had Owen, we stay at his house, and the nights that I would have had Owen, we now spend at my house. Cam cooks for all of us and has us in stitches with his sense of humor. Jenna and Cameron are getting along famously and life is surprisingly good. Of course, there is still a power struggle between the two of us at least once a day. I have to admit Cameron usually wins, simply because I can’t be bothered fighting with him anymore.

It’s funny how things turn out. I’ve stopped sweating the small stuff.

  * * *

I sit at the table in the hospital cafeteria with Amber and our intern group.

Cameron comes and sits beside me with Dr. Jameson. He picks up my hand and squeezes it subtly in his own personal greeting. Everyone knows about us now. Cameron went to the hospital board to explain the situation and they have granted permission and wavered the rules.

It seemed weird receiving an email that Cameron sent to all of the interns stating we were dating and that we had a history and shared a child.

He wanted to be the one to tell them. He felt it best he was honest and up front. He didn’t want them to hear it from somewhere else as cheap gossip.

It was comical watching Amber’s reaction when she read it. Her eyes nearly popped out of her head and she punched me hard in the arm. I even had a bruise. She’s now in a full on deviant relationship with her security guard and their two blow up bed partners. She gets to sleep with three people while remaining loyal to one. It’s a cool kind of set up, and it works for them.
