Bull Protectors

She refused to answer, not wanting to fall into his trap of baiting her. A buzz crackled between them that she tried to ignore, but she couldn’t ignore it for long.
Her fingers itched to touch him. To trace those cheekbones she admired. Instead, she held the bowl in a firm grasp.
But her refuge was short lived. The bowl was yanked from her grasp.
“No need to keep holding an empty bowl.” Kai placed it on the floor near his feet. As he moved, his hand on the back of the couch trailed along the back of her neck, producing goosebumps. “Are you cold?” He pulled her into his side. “Here, let me keep you warm. Wouldn’t want you to get sick, now.”
As much as she knew she shouldn’t, she couldn’t resist curling up. Her head fit perfectly against his well-muscled chest. Muscles she felt not only under her cheek, but also under her hand which pressed against it. She attempted to lift her fingers, but his hand pressed over it, keeping it near his heart.
If he thought this would keep her invested in the movie, he’d been sorely mistaken. He surrounded her and filled her thoughts. What would it be like to trace the ridges under her palm with her tongue? What would it be like to trace the V muscles that dipped below the waistband of his pants? She’d seen them once when he’d stretched and his t-shirt had ridden up. It was a sight she couldn’t and wouldn’t remove from her memory banks.
She shifted, and he pulled her closer. There was no getting away. The only saving grace to her own lust was that she could see he was just as affected. A bulge grew behind his zipper. She licked her lips. Her fingers dug into his chest. Anything to keep herself from putting her hand over the zipper, pulling it down, and taking his cock out. Her mouth watered with the thought.
It filled her mind. It was all she could think about. His cock. Her hand. Her mouth. Her pussy. Any and all of them would be welcoming places for him.
Argh. She needed distance, but until the movie ended, she was stuck. It would be rude to leave before then. And considering the truce they had, to be rude would certainly shatter it. That was the last thing she wanted. Especially since they would be stuck together until they solved the case.
Finally, the movie ended. Or at least words scrolled across the screen leading her to believe it the end. She pushed herself up right and forced a yawn. “Boy, am I bushed. Think I’ll head off.”
She spun on her heel and hightailed it toward her bedroom, focusing on escaping the heat between them.
A hand gripped her biceps, swinging her around into the face of Kai. “Hold up. We need to talk quickly about tomorrow and the trip to the island.”
She attempted to shrug herself loose, but he didn’t let go. “We’ve already gone over everything. I’m good.”
“No, you’re not. We’ve made changes.”
“We can discuss it tomorrow.”
“No. It needs to be done tonight.”
Anger and frustration boiled over. His high handedness drove her crazy. And to think she’d been thinking about treating him to a blowjob earlier. Well not now. She wouldn’t touch him if he begged.
“I don’t think so.” She yanked her arm out of his grasp. “Tomorrow.”
He grabbed her again, spinning her back toward his chest. “Tonight. I’m not about to let anything happen to you. I mean it.”
His lips slammed down on hers, dominating her. He pushed her back against the wall while his body surrounded her. She was trapped, unable to move. She tried to push against him, but all that did was to force him to grab her wrists and pull her hands up over her head, pinning them to the wall.
Not that she could say she fought hard, considering she kissed him back as fiercely as he did her. Their lips bruised under the force of the kiss. Their teeth hit. But neither stopped. As his tongue forced its way into her mouth, she lifted her leg to his hip, drawing him closer.
Dizziness nipped at the edge of her brain from the lack of oxygen. She ripped her mouth away, chest heaving as she struggled to fill her lungs, but he didn’t stop. His hips pressed her to the wall while his mouth ravished her neck, her ear. A soft nip released a whimper. She needed more. Needed harder.
“Oh my… Kai!”
His fingers pinched and rolled her nipples through her shirt and bra. Not that the lace put up much of a barrier.
Her hips ground against him. Heat built within her. She needed this release. Needed to stem the tide of hormones that flooded her daily. If only he’d complete the deal. Use the long, hard cock that poked her.
“Please, Kai. I need you.” She didn’t care if she was begging or that he could have any woman he wanted. The need for him drove everything else from her mind. If she’d had the use of her hands, she’d ensure she’d get what she wanted, but they remained secure against the wall.
But then he lifted her shirt. His fingers dragged up both sides of her chest. It tickled, but she couldn’t move. His hips pinned her securely. She stretched her fingers in an attempt to alleviate the sensation, to keep from laughing. It was only then that she realized he no longer held her wrists, she did.
She lowered her arms, intending to grab his face and force his lips back to hers, but he stopped her.
“Arms back up against the wall.”
But she was done taking orders. “No.”
“Then you don’t lose the shirt.”
The shirt was of no consequence. He could mouth her nipples through the shirt if need be. All she cared about was getting something in her.
Her hands slid through his hair until she had a firm grasp on his lowered head. And then she pushed, forcing him down to his knees. A place he wanted to go, she was sure, because otherwise she would have never been able to move him.
“So impatient.” His breath pulsed against her exposed stomach above her waistline as he chuckled. But as his fingers popped open her button and slid down her zipper, his voice deepened. “But then so am I.”
He lowered her pants, allowing them to slide down her thighs. Her barely-there lace panties followed. Warm air wafted across her exposed area. Her arousal plain to be seen.
“Smells so good.” His fingers parted her inner thighs, spreading her legs as far as they could go with her pants still wrapped around them.
She pulled on his hair, attempting to force his mouth where she wanted it most. Where she ached. But he resisted.
“No. We do this my way.”
The muscles on his neck bulged as she didn’t give up. She wanted his mouth, his tongue to taste her.
When his head leaned closer, she cheered in her mind. Finally, she would get it. She always won.
She bit her lip, waiting for it to happen. He blew out his breath, zeroing in on her clit. Goosebumps rose on her skin as a shiver worked its way down her spine. Fuck. She needed to come now.
His mouth struck at the same moment his finger entered her. Her fingers dug into his scalp. Fuck. His finger was large. Filling her like her dildo. But it still wasn’t enough. She wanted to feel his cock. Feel how full she’d be.
Her head slammed against the wall as he rotated the finger, pressing against her G spot. How had he found it so fast? His tongue lashed against her, drawing her higher and higher. The feelings so strong, so powerful, her hips writhed and gyrated even with his secure hold.
“Fuck. I’m so close. Please don’t stop. Kai. Please.” Words spilled from her mouth as she continued to climb, losing herself in the sensations.
He sucked in. She soared. Muscles clenched in her thighs, pinning her to the spot. Dark spots danced in her vision while she struggled to get her lungs to function.
“Holy…”
Speaking became too much effort as he pulled his fingers from her, triggering more ripples. Her thighs shook, and her knees wobbled. Arms wrapped around her legs, sweeping them out from under her.
“Shhh. Close your eyes. I’ve got you.”
Her body obeyed. As much as she wanted more, to feel his naked body against hers, she couldn’t stay awake.
The cool softness of her sheets
brushed against her lower half. She felt him lift each leg and pull them from her pants. Then the blankets touched the underside of her chin.
“Sleep well.” The whisper of lips brushed against her forehead near her hairline.
“Thanks.” The words hung softly in the air over the sounds of his quiet footsteps.
Sarah squinted behind her sunglasses. The sunshine bounced off the bright ocean and the white rocks as the private helicopter hovered over the landing pad.
“Please be careful when exiting and keep your heads low. The rotators will not have stopped their revolutions.”
“And remember to keep your mouth closed,” added the co-pilot. “Sometimes the blades kick up dust.”
She nodded but noticed she was the only one in their group to do so. Everyone else, including Laguna, had ridden on helicopters before.
“See. Told you there was nothing to be scared of.” Kai’s breath brushed against the skin of her neck as he spoke. The helicopter was outfitted for luxury with thickly padded leather seats, a small refrigerator for drinks, and drawers filled with snacks, but even with the sound proofing, headsets and microphones were needed in order to speak. And to have a private conversation the speaker was required to nearly shout into the recipient’s ear.
An answer wasn’t required as Kai sat straight in his seat, waiting for the helicopter to touch down.
Her fingers gripped the armrest as the tarmac grew larger in her window. She hadn’t wanted to sit next to Kai and had successfully avoided being alone with him while they travelled until the helicopter. Zale had been assigned to sit with and protect Laguna throughout their hours of travel. For the first time, she’d been jealous of her friend.
It wasn’t that she wanted him—although she did—but he represented safety after her mistake the previous night. He wasn’t one of the ones she’d been making out with. Just thinking about it brought redness to her cheeks and a feeling of shame. How could she have been so stupid? Not that she begrudged her amazing orgasm. It certainly left her satisfied even if it hadn’t sated her lust.
How could she have shared such an intimate kiss with Dylan and then a week later let his best friend and team leader bring her to orgasm? She’d known that they had rules about fraternizing while working on a case, but she’d ignored it for her own selfish desires.
And now she was paying the cost.
On the commercial plane, she’d claimed a seat to herself in first class, sitting next to a businesswoman. The fact that her seatmate had been female was probably the only reason they’d let her get away with it. But once they climbed on board the helicopter, taking a seat next to the window, she’d been screwed. Kai immediately sat next to her, cornering her between his large, orgasmic-inducing body and the window.
The noise level once the motors started had been both a blessing and a curse. The use of headphones to minimize the noise and for open, non-private communication allowed her to retreat and focus on the view outside her windows. But whenever Kai wanted to say something to her, his fingers would brush her ear, sending shivers of pleasure down her body as he slid the headphone off. And then his breath would wash over her sensitive neck. Sometimes, she swore she felt his tongue or lips press against her skin. Each contact raised goosebumps on her arms. A response that he took full advantage of by using his hands to rub up and down her arms, warming her.
She was so screwed.
Finally, the door opened, allowing them to leave the helicopter. A group of people wearing matching uniforms containing the crest of Octavious Vodnikski’s business and the island stood in front of a convoy of luxury golf carts.
As was her job, she was the second to leave the helicopter following Kai but the first to reach the welcoming committee.
“Miss Jones, what a pleasure to meet you. I’m Anastasia, Mr. Vodnikski’s personal assistant and publicist. Welcome to Vodloko Island.”
She shook Anastasia’s hand who then introduced her to the rest of the welcoming party. When the rest of their party reached the safety of the carts, she returned the introductions, introducing Kai, and Zale as part of Laguna’s personal security detail while Dylan helped with security as well as acting as her assistant. It was a cover story, the men had concocted when Octavious’s team balked at a larger than normal security team.
It took over ten minutes before the carts rounded the towering white rock formations that hid the interior and bay section of the island from view.
“Oh wow!” Before her eyes stood a sprawling oasis of gardens, pools, the beach, and low slung thatched roofed buildings. The salt air tingled against her skin. Visions of old memories danced before her eyes. When she’d been younger and her mother was still alive, they’d vacationed multiple times near the ocean. But once her mother disappeared, her father had packed them up, moving to the prairies, and they’d never returned.
After a few deep breaths, her muscles relaxed and a lightness filled her soul. Why had she never returned before?
“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” The driver of her cart slowed to a stop, giving her a moment to soak in the scenery.
“It is. You’re so lucky to work here.”
“I am.” His foot pressed against the accelerator, and the cart kept forward with a lurch. “Sorry.”
She chuckled even as she grabbed onto the side. For the first time in days, or possibly even weeks, she felt free. No more stalking letters. No press. Only sun, water, and warmth. Laguna didn’t even need her, but the invitation had been insistent that she accompany her. Who was she to argue?
“Off the main club building, all the outer bungalows, containing two rooms, are attached via open air covered walkways. It’s set in a U shape to match the shoreline of the bay. I’ll drop you off at the front and Anastasia will lead you to your rooms. I believe that your party is being housed in some of the bungalows closest to the beach.”
Voices continued to talk around her, but she ignored it all. The view, the smell, it all consumed her, filling a part of her that had been empty and missing.
Dylan’s hand waved in front of her, bringing her back to the present. She looked up into his smiling face. “Are you coming in or were you planning on just living in the golf cart?”
“Hardy-har-har.” She placed her hand in his and climbed down to stand on the tiled entrance. “Don’t you just love it here? I mean the ocean is just amazing. It’s like it calls to me.”
He took a deep breath and released it slowly. The look in his eyes softened, smoothing out their green colour. “Yeah. I understand. There’s just something about the salt air and the warm water.”
“Exactly.” She beamed as he led her into the reception area.
Within minutes, she stood in front of the open patio doors, staring across the sand at the lapping waves. She’d stayed a few nice places before related to work, but none had ever been like this. Her room rivalled Laguna’s for plushness and was directly on the beach.
“Hel-loo,” Anastasia called as she knocked against the open doorway. “Mind if I come in?”
With great reluctance, she turned to find Anastasia standing on the threshold, carrying a large gift basket. She rushed to the door. “Here let me help with that. Is Laguna not in her room?”
“What? Oh, no. This basket is for you.” Anastasia placed the basket down on the dining room table. “Compliments of Mr. Vodnikski. He told me to inform you that you were to treat this as a holiday. To enjoy all that his island has to offer, including the boats and crews. With our tight security, there should be nothing that Laguna will need from you.”
“Oh, but…” She was lost as to what to say. A working trip had never been like this before. If Laguna wasn’t calling her in for fashion advice or help with public appearances than she was busy running around putting out fires, making deals, or just keeping track of the paparazzi. Never had she gone somewhere and just had fun, doing what she wanted to do.
Anastasia winked at her before grinning. “Just relax and have fun. Between us girls, Mr. Vodnik
ski is a big fan of yours. I’m not sure if he was more excited to have you or Laguna here.”
That little tidbit of information surprised her. While she may have had a big-name client and was young to hold such a position within her company, she didn’t think she was well known outside certain circles and those circles were very small.
But before she could question Anastasia further, Zale’s head popped into her doorway. “Laguna is wanting to rest for the afternoon, so Kai, Dylan, and I were heading down to the beach. And we want you to come with us.”
She was about to decline, wanting to keep some space between her and the guys, but the look of desire on Anastasia’s face changed her mind. “Sure. Give me a minute to change into my suit?”
The answering smile on Zale’s face made her heart flutter. But it was the knowing look and challenge written on Anastasia’s face that showed she’d made the correct decision. After all, what was a little bit of discomfort when she would have three amazing male bodies on display before her in paradise?
They spent the afternoon frolicking in the empty waves when they weren’t relaxing on the sun loungers. She’d always been an incredible swimmer and able to hold her breath underwater longer than her peers growing up, but none of it held a candle in comparison to what the three men could do. It didn’t seem natural, but then again, they had been Navy SEALs for about fifteen years so maybe they’d learned a few tricks.
“Having fun?” Zale plopped down on the lounger beside her while Kai and Dylan remained in the water.
“I am.” And she was. Not only was the surf a wonderful roughness that tossed her around, leaving her breathless, but the scenery had been top notch as well. She licked her lips as her eyes trailed over the wet expanse of muscles that covered Zale’s chest. She’d been correct on her very first impression of him. He was built like a tank under those stuffy dress shirts.
Beads of water rolled over each peak and valley as it dripped from his short hair. Hair that no longer stood coiffed and gelled up in a faux hawk. She followed each drip until they were lost in the waistband of his swim shorts which, much to her delight, hung low on his hips, revealing that sexy V line of muscles.
