Crimson armor congealed over his body as the obsidian spears shattered as they made contact with it. The armor was covered with intense black and red flames. As those standing around watched it appear they noticed that it was engraved with intense markings of devilish figures that seem to be consuming everything that came within their reach.

His right eye was then covered with an odd mechanical object as the other half of his face was covered with a horned helm that was from some unknown origins. It was a bizarre look, but anyone who attempted to gaze upon either of those eyes would feel a tremendous pressure and would be sent running for their lives.

A dark weapon appeared in Feihren's hands. It was different from the weapon Feihren was usually carrying, but it did somewhat resemble his other weapons. If the 6 members of his party that were standing around were to guess, they would say this was probably made by the same person. For them, anything that resembles that kind of weapon could only mean that everything in its path would be destroyed! What they had witnessed a while ago was the proof of that power!

After his transformation was complete, no injuries could be seen anywhere on his body. It was as if he had never been in a tight and bloody situation. It was definitely shocking, as a panicked expression was seen on King Louie's face. Feihren's aura did not stop increasing as he was walking towards his opponent.

  ...

  "Character Name": [Gama]

  "Equipped Class: [Supreme General]"

"Equipped Title: Gaia's Paradox Messiah (Active)"

  "Base HP: 1,717,440"

  "Base Damage: 1,679,640"

  ...

Everything about Feihren right now was just too formidable, as it would definitely appear that the Hades Armor was the one that was overpowered. But in reality it was the weakest Deity-grade armor he had. This armor would only show its effects after a significant amount of time. This armor would only be able to show its true strength when one has the time to kill a significant number of people, so this could only be used in rare situations. It was beneficial for Feihren at the moment as he had just slaughtered over 80,000 men.

  This was basically game over.

"Oh well, it's not every day that I could show this kind of strength." Feihren monologues as he got closer to King Louie.

A minute had passed and King Louie summoned ten more of his Void Spears, but instead of throwing them at Feihren, he surprisingly turned it into a makeshift fence as he hurriedly ran away from the scene.

"Ah, this is what happens when you focus too much on one thing... Having a huge health pool while only mastering a single offensive spell..." Feihren shook his head in disappointment as he flicked the obsidian wall with one finger.

  *Pshh!

The makeshift fence shattered in an instant, clearing Feihren's field of view.

In the distance, the sole figure of King Louie could still be seen, fleeing for his life.

Feihren activated the Eye as he aimed towards the panicking silhouette of King Louie.

  *Bang!

The entire scene felt like it was straight out of a 'duck hunting competition', as the body of King Louie dropped dead to the ground...

  "Base HP: 60,000 (-2,319,640)"

"System Log: Congratulations on dealing more than 1000% overkill damage."

  Chapter 38: Sudden Coronation

An extensive spell barrier that emanated a strong blue radiance blocked the escaping soldiers of the Wolfenstein army. The barrier extended in a large semicircle, enveloping every path for the soldiers to escape. This was the spell formation that the four representative mages of the Ranustin Kingdom had erected to stop the fleeing party.

The entire army was in such a panic that they hadn't properly reacted to the situation. Countless knights attempted to destroy the barrier with physical attacks, but those futile attempts only left them bruised from the recoil. The knights were all stampeding towards the barrier as the ones in the front were shoved forward even as they attempted to destroy the obstruction in their way. Unfortunately most of them were knocked down and trampled into the dirt by those pressing in behind them.

It hadn't synced up within their hearts that the initial attack may have been a one-off trick, so they continued to run. The buzzing sound from the horizon signified that the enemy is still in the chase, which could only mean that none of them would be escaping from this battlefield. They could not quench the fear as they stepped upon their brethren in order to gain even one extra second to get away from the monster at their backs.

The flustered mages, who had the privilege to be excluded from this hideous scene as they could use flight magic, cried in despair as they witnessed their allies trampling over each other. They had regained their composure as they attempted to break the barrier using offensive spell formations. It did not take long before the thousand mages had created their countermagic.

A loud bang echoed throughout the area surrounded by the barrier as it shattered in an instant. The rushing soldiers beneath sighed in relief as they hurriedly proceeded to run for their lives. Those that had fallen due to unfortunate circumstances could only be stepped upon again and again by their fellow soldiers, as the survival of the fittest kicked in within the minds of these people.

  *Swoosh!

A swift figure flew past over the soldiers, as they immediately glanced at the speeding man above them. But in the next instant, a loud bang could be heard from the enemy's direction. The hearts and hopes of the soldiers sunk deeper as they witnessed the man above them descending unchecked as he dropped dead in front of them.

"K-King Louie!?!" Most of the veterans within the troops immediately recognized the person that had fallen in front of them. The army was thrown into a wild commotion as they confirmed that this man was indeed King Louie! Not all of them had the opportunity to meet the king personally in the past, but the portraits and the occasional public appearances when they were young had made an impression within their minds. This face was definitely that of King Louie, or it should be a few decades ago! How does he look so young even after all these years? How is he even still alive?

The fear within their hearts was overtaken by the confusion within their minds.

But it was yet again ignited as a burning figure descended in front of the cold corpse of King Louie. The sight of such a bizarre looking person had made the hearts and minds of the Wolfenstein Army tremble in absolute fear. No one dared to move in the slightest as the man started approaching the dead King Louie. With a single touch, the body of the king completely disappeared, as if it was never there.

Feihren did not bother with the frozen army of the Wolfenstein Kingdom. It was understandable, as they would know that running away from him at this point is similar to just asking to be killed. For now, Feihren was focusing on what he had gathered from this skirmish.

'Title: [King of the Kill] - Grants permanent damage amplification of 500% from any damage source'

'Well, this isn't too bad. I'd be using this if only my Messiah title wasn't even better.' For now, Feihren left the title within his status page as he checked the other drops. Aside from the trash items that could be converted into [Smelt Dusts], Feihren actually had decent drops from all this. Aside from the [Demonic Essence], King Louie had dropped a few precious items.

  '[Dark Dragons' Cloak] (Legendary)'

'[True Kings Crown] (Epic): Grants aura of a magnanimous king, Area Slow 20%'

  '[Life Break] Skill Book'

Feihren gasped in shock as he saw that he acquired the skill book for [Life Break]! This is a literal 'game breaking' skill that King Louie had abused! Well, Feihren would not do any of the nefarious things that the crazy old king probably did, but this would be useful in many different ways. Although the cooldown was insanely long, this was a sure kill skill that would benefit Feihren for a long time.

The [Dark Dragons Cloak] also attracted Feihren's attention as it sounded familiar...

  'Isn't this like the [J
ade Dragon Armor] I got back then from Queen Angelique? Don't tell me that these things were part of a set?' Feihren was not necessarily wrong on his guess as it seems that item sets do exist in this magic world. It would explain why the items didn't show their effects or description.

As for the [True Kings Crown], Feihren had a faint laugh as he remembered that it was similar to the [Kings Aura] skill book he got a while ago. Retracting the helm of the Hades Armor, Feihren jokingly wore the crown as he started laughing in glee. It was his version of a victory party.

To his surprise, the frozen soldiers and the floating mages started moving! Yet, they weren't attacking him?

Every single one of the soldiers that had witnessed the scene just now deeply kowtowed to Feihren has they had tears roll down their faces. The remaining troops followed suit as they could feel the urgency of doing so.

"Hail the King! The New King of Wolfenstein!"

One of the generals within the Wolfenstein troops started chanting at the top of his lungs. Everyone followed him as the entirety of the place now echoed with similar shouting.

'What the hell is this?!' Feihren was majorly confused as to what was going on. He helplessly waved his hand as to disperse the misunderstanding, yet the chanting became even louder after he did so.

"Please everyone, stop this!" Feihren yelled loud enough for the majority of the troops nearest him to hear. So they lowered their volume and had eventually stopped.

"As you wish Your Majesty" The same general that had started the whole chanting nonsense immediately responded to Feihren's order.

'Stop with the brown nosing!' Feihren thought to himself as he glared helplessly upon this general with a weird looking mustache.

Feihren walked towards the Wolfenstein Army, but he forgot that he was still wearing the [True Kings Crown] and had its effect activated. The magnanimous image of Feihren left a strong imprint on the hearts and minds of the soldiers of the front troops.

A well-built man walked past the other soldiers as he arrived at the front of the soldiers closest to Feihren. He greeted him with a heart full of sincerity, and offered their greatest gratitude for eliminating the 'true evil that had lurked amongst them'. It appears that he was the Field Marshal of this operation.

Feihren could not help his thoughts while shaking the hand of this man... 'What is with this sudden 180o nonsense?'

  Chapter 39: Change of Plans

"We apologize if everything that is happening right now is confusing you Sir"

Field Marshal, Alexis Calveria immediately filled Feihren in on what was really happening. Confusion was evident within Feihren's face.

"Yes! Yes, please! Do fill the gaps. I am confused as hell about what is happening right now. We're supposed to be enemies, you know?"

Removing the [True Kings Crown], Feihren had thought that they might not have recognized him because of the new armor he was wearing and thus decided to change into the Titan Armor just so they were aware.

"I am the one responsible for wiping out almost half of you. Don't you hold any hostility towards me?"

Floating beside Feihren was the board that happened to be the only thing visible atop the wall before the black sphere exterminated half of their army. Although surprise was evident from the generals and some of the soldiers that had witnessed this, they only nodded helplessly. They had guessed that the one who had slain King Louie would be as powerful as the one who wiped out a large chunk of them at the beginning. They had just not anticipated that it might be the same person.

This was the enemy that had slaughtered tens of thousands of them. But within their hearts, they knew that they were only the enemies of this man because they were told to be. He was only driven to kill them because of what he thought was right.

If they were truly enemies to the core then this formidable opponent, who was capable of killing thousands of them in mere seconds, would have already made his move to either to start slaughtering the rest of them that were present or escape. But they all believed that he was likely more inclined to do the former. But now they could tell that this man is definitely not the mass murdering maniac they originally thought he was, as he was able to speak his mind in front of their leader and have a rational conversation with them.

"We… We're here because of an order from King Louie the 3rd, but it has been years since we were able to step foot within the capital. We are forced to a garrison far from the Wolfenstein Capital and have stayed there for almost 5 years! Away from our loved ones!" Hints of pain and regret could be seen within the eyes of these supposed war-hardened veterans.

Five years is not that long if one was considering the risk one had to take when joining the military. What pained them the most was the disappearances of several of their comrades. Every now and then elite teams were formed within their troops. These groups were generally commanded to do errands for the king, but not even a single one of them would return! Every single time it happened, not even a single survivor would come back and report what has happened on their mission. It was so suspicious that Alexis made a move and had discovered the dark truth.

Fuel... The people sent on these supposed "missions" were being used as fuel to strengthen the presumably dead King Louie! Alexis had been hiding the fact that he already knew, while also letting a few fellow generals within the army know. Yet, the bitter truth was that they were still under the command of the king. On top of that, not everyone would believe them if he were to spread this information around without any proof. They had long planned for a coup d'état to overthrow the royalty in this kingdom, but garnering the support of the entire army was not an easy task, especially one that was so large and yet so divided.

The appearance of Feihren was definitely a blessing sent for those people who wanted to remove the control of King Louie within the kingdom. Well, Feihren had already slain King Louie, but the fact that the kingdom would be left without a strong and proper ruler after overthrowing the last pawn of the royalty, King Louie the 3rd, would only leave the entire Wolfenstein Kingdom vulnerable. It would look as if it was a delicious buffet that is ready for any of the other kingdoms that hunger for bountiful resources.

"…That is why I ask of you lord sir. We need a powerful ruler right now. We may not be the entire kingdom, but we, the entire Wolfenstein Army, will serve you for the justice that our fallen comrades back then deserve…"

Sincerity could be felt from Alexis as he gave this speech and request. Feihren could not help but sigh. Another ridiculous responsibility he should just deny. Yet he felt somewhat… guilty? Might it have been because of the thousands of soldiers he just killed back then? Or the fact that he was the one who was responsible for the death of King Louie? Well, either of those made this old man's heart feel somewhat sour. It was definitely something he could not just put off and leave for later.

"My name is Gama Feihren, I am a former general myself… although..."

Feihren hadn't yet finished his introduction before being interrupted by the sound of numerous galloping horses coming from the eastern gates. Feihren's brow furrowed as he was wondering who these people might be. His ears were sensitive enough to detect this way before the others noticed, but as soon as the galloping sound grew louder, the Wolfenstein Army reacted. They immediately returned to a proper war formation.

If one could view this from above, the formation of the Wolfenstein Army was so neat that their alignment itself would scare the crap out of the enemies. The reduced number of the army, which was now only around 100,000 soldiers and mages, was definitely more manageable. So they promptly prepared themselves in a little more than 10 minutes. The speed at which they completed the formation was quite breathtaking. It just goes to show the top-notch quality and discipline the troops of the Wolfenstein kingdom had. Yet they were nothing compared to the man who was now "leading" them.

Feihren did not continue his introduction as he instructed the other generals, including Alexis, to prepare themselves and come with him. The other
soldiers within the army were the instructed to keep to their formations and stay vigilant. At this point it would be best to keep their heads up and stay alert, just in case.

14 military generals, including Alexis, accompanied Feihren on their armored horses, while Feihren was on his Titan Slate. They arrived at the source of the commotion quite quickly.

Excluding Feihren, the others gasped in surprise when they saw who these people were. After seeing the large group of people bearing heraldic flags with different insignias and coats of arms, the generals behind Feihren could not help but speak up in shock.

"Ranustin Kingdom? And… Are those the other Kingdoms from the Blaz Continent? What are these people doing here all of a sudden?"
