Quantum Christianity: Believe Again
Page 39
Uncle Bob and Aunt Judy Cholette:
Uncle Bob, I remember that, at my high-school graduation party, you asked me if I was going to college and what I intended to do with my life. When I explained that I was going to Bible college to study to be a pastor (like you), I remember you sat there and cried. Now, over twenty years later, I’m not sure if those were proud tears or compassionate tears because you knew what that decision would look like for my life; but I’ve never forgotten it. I appreciate the love and support that you and Aunt Judy have always shown to Lisa and me. I’ve always admired the pastors that you are. Through personally difficult years (and at times, disappointment) in leadership, I’ve never questioned what it looks like to be a pastor with a pastor’s heart because of your clear examples. Thank you for investing in me in all the ways you have over the years, and thank you for investing in the ministry to come from this book.
Jimmy and Joy Jacobs:
Every once in a while, you meet a couple whom you know God has placed in your life simply to bless you. I know without a doubt that the two of you were just that. Your encouragement and belief in me have been so instrumental in brightening my life, and I’m so thankful for you. Thank you for being you, thank you for loving me, and thank you for supporting the ministry that God has placed in me. I love you both so much.
Kris and Cristin Hicks:
Some friendships are lifetime relationships where no matter how much time passes between visits, you just pick up where you left off. Although we are 600 miles apart, you both are those kind of friends to Lisa and me. Words cannot express how much I appreciate your friendship, belief in me, and financial support into the ministry of this book. Thank you for everything! We love you.
Dave and Pattie Rose:
The two of you have not only been amazing friends and supporters of this book, but you have continually been an encouragement to my life and ministry. I can’t remember an encounter with either of you when your smile, questions of interest about my family, encouraging words, and affirmation about something I had recently shared from a pulpit or in the writing of a blog have not been a notable part of the “Rose experience.” You really are a very special couple, and I appreciate you both more than you could ever know. Thank you for filling your lane in the kingdom of God (you’ll see what I mean later in the book) and being some of the people who have held my arms up at times, when you didn’t even know you were doing so. I’m so blessed to know you.
Michelle Moore:
It didn’t seem like that long ago we were talking about your books and God using your story and professional experience to touch lives—and now it is a reality. So awesome! The favor of God has smiled on you, and I’m so excited to see where your next seasons take you. Thank you for being my friend and supporting the ministry of this book as it goes forward. You are such a blessing!
Ann-Riley Caldwell:
Next to my editor, Alice, and me, you have read this book more times than anyone. Your input has been essential to the content development. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the continued encouragement, willingness to serve, and constructive criticism that you have offered to help bring fresh eyes to this project. You are a blessing in the lives of so many, and I am truly blessed to call you friend.
Jesse Nemitz:
My friend, you are one of the few people I have ever met that I can sit down with and have challenging conversations about theology and quantum physics. You really are brilliant, and I am slightly envious! (Kidding . . . kind of.) Your encouragement and enthusiasm about this book has kept me focused and excited when at times I was quite exhausted. Thank you for reading this book in record time and continuing to be that voice of encouragement, offering input and perspective on the content.
Jaiden Miskel:
Brother, I cannot tell you how encouraging your words have been in the development of this content. You process and retain information on a level that is much more advanced than I, and your input on the information presented in this book has been such a blessing. Thank you for your willingness to be one of the first to review the manuscript and offer your feedback on it. Considering your background in medicine and science, you offered me additional confidence that I was writing a book that would resonate with people at varying levels of education and experience. I appreciate you so much, man!
Bryan Popin:
I’ll never forget our conversation as I was processing some of the revelation unveiled in this book and you intently listened, processed it for a few hours, and then called me and offered your input. Your words of encouragement in that moment were a major catalyst in my determining to intentionally pursue writing Quantum Christianity. You are a great friend. I love and appreciate you and Susan so much!
Clint Thomas:
There are so many things I could say right now as I think back on the last few years. The hours and hours of conversation. The input and balance you have offered as I bounced thoughts I was having and revelation I was receiving off of you. I’ve appreciated your willingness to actually not talk (or just agree with me) and sit back to think for a moment, hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, and then respond with your perspective. When I say it’s been invaluable, it’s an understatement. I could literally write pages detailing how your friendship, transparency, and example have been such a significant influence in me pressing past previous ceilings in my own life. Brother, I love you. You really are an inspiration.
Danny and Jillian Chambers:
My pastors . . . Where do I even start? After twelve years of experiences, I’m certainly not the guy I was that first day I walked through the doors of the Oasis. At that time, I had no idea what was going to happen in the coming years (both good and bad). But God, in His faithfulness, positioned me under pastors who would be there for me in the dark days and continue to challenge the ministry that was in me. You have been friends who would believe in me when I honestly didn’t have the strength to believe in myself. I’m absolutely convinced that I would not be in ministry today had you and our Oasis family not been there when everything I knew crumbled! You guys were not only an anchor but also a compass. Now I’m back; I’m better than I was before. What the enemy intended for my demise God has used as an accelerant for my success; but I’m well aware that I’m still in ministry and publishing this book today because you continued to love me. I cannot express the depth of my thankfulness. You have been beyond pastors or even friends. To me you are family. Every life that is reached through my influence is a part of your legacy. I love you more than I could ever express. Thank you. Just, thank you.
LorriAnn Zakaluk:
Thank you so much for helping me edit my book proposal. As I have shopped possible publishers and also sent out requests for endorsements, the proposal has been vital! I appreciate your willingness to be a blessing on this project. Thank you!
Adam Fuller:
Brother, you did a FANTASTIC job on the cover! You were a huge blessing during a very critical moment in this process and I cannot thank you enough!
Alice Sullivan:
What a blessing it has been to work with such a talented editor who actually knows my voice and knows how I express myself. I’m all too aware of my personal limitations, and you have been a godsend, taking my best and making it better. It’s funny, because I knew this would be a lot of work, but I had no idea just how much work we would be doing together. At times, I had to sit back and just process for a while because I felt like you were spanking my kid, but I realized that I hired you to do just that! In hindsight, I realize now that, in my case, you were like the “super nanny” straightening out a pretty unruly child. Seriously, though, thank you for taking on this project, offering amazing perspective and feedback, and living up to your stellar reputation. I’m so blessed to know you and to have had a chance to work with you. Note: If any of my readers need an amazing editor, check out AliceSullivan.com and tell her I sent you.
