Grayson's Double Trouble

Page 8

by Meg Bawden

If anyone deserved happiness, though, it was Quinn. I couldn’t even imagine losing a husband. At least he got a second chance with King. As much as I missed my cousin, I knew Hunter would want Quinn to be happy with someone else. That’s just the kind of guy he was.

“Do you have plans?” I took a sip of the coffee and moaned. After a week and a half of fucking Grayson, my limbs were still sore, thighs aching like I’d done a two-day session at the gym. But now I’d decided I preferred the workout of helping an omega through his heat. I could still see his pre-orgasm face in my head, mouth opened in pleasure, body taut as I fucked into him before releasing.

No. I couldn’t think about it right now.

King smiled at Quinn in a way that shouted how much love he felt for him. “Sheryl has offered to take the boys for the day tomorrow, so I thought I’d spoil Quinn with a massage.”

Quinn rolled his eyes, his fingers stroking Reece’s back. “Mom’s still a big cat eyeing up her prey. She’d take the boys whenever she got a chance.”

I laughed. I’d met Quinn’s mom a few times, and that didn’t surprise me. Once upon a time, she’d been a senator, but after Hunter died, she semiretired and took over in being the best grandmother ever. We had a few conversations about Quinn and H.J. ourselves, on how to best help them. She was a lovely lady, and conversing with her made me miss Mom even more. She reminded me of her in some ways, that sense of protectiveness being one. Blair and I used to joke that Mom was overbearing, but we wouldn’t have had her any other way.

“What about you? I heard you had a visitor while we were looking after Emily.” King grinned wickedly at me, and I avoided his eyes. No, sir, I wasn’t going to blush about something as natural as an omega’s heat.

“Uh, yeah.” I nudged Emily. “Can you go check on H.J.?”

She frowned at me. “Why? He’s six.”

“Emily. It’s getting dark. Go check on him.”

She let out a long, drawn-out sigh, and rose. “I know what omega heats are, and I know you spent one with an omega, probably knotting him too. That’s gross, thinking of you doing that, by the way, but I’m not innocent. Blair told me all about heats.” With that, she flicked her long hair and stormed out the door, slamming the screen shut behind her. It rebounded off the hinges.

I was going to kill Blair. Murder him and give his body to the pigs. They’d finish the job.

Quinn made a sound suspiciously like a stifled laugh and slapped his hand over his mouth, and the wedding ring on his middle finger glinting under the lights. He still hadn’t taken it off. “They grow up so quick.”

“I want to know how long she’s known Blair has been back,” I grumbled, taking another long sip of my coffee. It nearly burnt my lips and I spluttered slightly.

“She said she’s known since he decided to come back,” Quinn said.

“Of course she has.” I shouldn’t have been surprised. Even though I’d taken on the responsibility of raising her, Blair had always been her favorite brother, or at least that’s how I saw it. She always talked about what Blair was doing, and how he was taking on the world. The fact that he left Cherry Hollow made her worship him, and I never understood why. Who wanted to leave their home and family?

“So, back to the omega.” King winked at me. “The mayor, huh?”

I gave Quinn an exasperated stare, and he shrugged with a chuckle. “King’s my partner. I had to tell him. He knows when I’m lying, and he knew I was coming over here. What was I supposed to tell him?”

“You didn’t have to tell him who it was,” I whispered hotly, glancing at the door as though Emily might flounce through again with one of her dramatic stomp episodes.

“So how long have you and Blair been doing the mayor?” King whispered furiously, elbows on the table and eagerness in the way he stared at me. With his big brown eyes and floppy black curls, I could see what attracted Quinn to him.

I ran my hand over my face, exhaustion beating down on me again. All I wanted was a full day of sleep, but that was hard when I worked alone on the farm. “It’s not… it’s not really like that.”

“That’s not what I saw.” Quinn rocked Reece when he started to whine. “I saw you and the mayor and Blair, who also happened to be nearly naked from a shower—which by the way, he has an impressive body. I’d love to paint it one day.”

That earned Quinn a sharp, pointed look from King.

I would have laughed if we weren’t talking about Blair. Instead, my stomach curled in annoyance. “Blair’s an immature child who needs people to pamper him.”

Quinn cringed. “Sorry, I know you and he still don’t get along.”

That’s the understatement of the year. What made it worse was Grayson, though. How could I have been so stupid as to not realize he thought I was Blair? Was I that desperate for someone to want me? Or that lonely?

Loneliness would explain a lot of things. Working on the farm isolated me, and I craved a loving touch. This entire thing had been one big mess, however, and I wasn’t sure how I felt about Grayson wanting both of us. How would that even work?

My phone buzzed and I glanced down at it.

  Grayson.

My heart’s pace quickened, and I opened the text. A smile crept over my lips as I read the message. I definitely knew how I felt about Grayson.

“From the mayor, then?” King sounded amused. He nudged Quinn gently. “The grin says it all.”

“Mm-hmm. Someone wants to get laid again.”

I would have sent them a mock glare, but I was too busy tapping back a response. My typing skills were nonexistent, and my thumbs felt too big for my small phone, but I finally managed to type the whole message and hit Send.

“How do you manage with tech?” King teased.

I sighed and dropped my phone on the table. “I call people. What’s happened to communication these days? Everyone wants to text on the phone and never actually have a conversation.”

“Yes, it’s called the perfect way to socialize, Bristol. You don’t have to needlessly talk to people and get caught on the phone for hours.” Quinn laughed, jolting Reece and making him cry. “Aww, baby.” Quinn stroked his back and rocked him, and when that didn’t work, he passed him to King. As soon as he was in his daddy’s arms, the crying ceased.

“Looks as though he has a real favorite.” I snorted with laughter.

“Shut up.” Quinn grinned at me anyway. “So when’s your date?”

  “It’s not a date.”

  “That’s a lie.”

I shrugged, running my thumb over the rim of my cup. “He wants to meet for coffee.”

“When?” This came from King. He shifted closer, eagerness in his gaze. Anyone would think they were directly involved in this mess and were enjoying every minute of it.

“Tomorrow.” I glanced down at the message again. Anxiety-induced goose bumps rose on my arms, and I took a deep breath. He said he wanted to see us again, I just didn’t expect it to happen so soon.

“So what are you waiting for?” Quinn leaned over the table to poke my arm. “Get up. What clothes do you have? I’ll help you choose something to wear.”

I glanced down at the blue plaid shirt with long sleeves that I’d rolled up to my forearms and the scruffy jeans I had on.

“Oh no.” Quinn stood and grabbed my arm, dragging me to my feet. He shoved me in the direction of the stairs, with King’s laughter following us. I stumbled but managed to catch myself. He had more strength than I expected for an omega. “Come on, we need to find you something nice to wear.”

“What’s wrong with this?” I grumbled, taking the stairs two at a time. He was directly behind me.

Quinn snorted. “What’s right with those clothes? Nothing, Bristol. Absolutely nothing.”

I disagreed, but I was smart enough not to argue.

  Blair

Avoiding Todd’s watchful gaze was the hardest thing I’d done all day. He practically followed me around the office, and whenever I looked a
round, he hid, as though he was some spy on a mission. One of our assistants, Jenika, frowned at me.

“What is Todd doing?” she whispered, leaning forward on her desk. She had her long auburn hair pulled back in a hair tie today, her straight pencil skirt perfect as usual, with her suit jacket open and the top buttons of her white blouse undone. I could see down to her bra, but I’d been there and done that, and while she moaned as sweet as a whore in a porn video, I wasn’t interested in a second round.

I sat my ass on the edge of her desk, beside the fake daisies she insisted on keeping there, and stared directly at Todd. He hung behind a big potted plant, pretending to survey some papers in his hand. “No fucking idea. He thinks he’s James Bond.”

“So why’s he following you?” Her heels barely made a noise on the carpeted floor of our office as she walked around her desk and sat beside me, closer than necessary. “What have you done?”

“He wants to find a reason to fire me.” I crossed my arms over my chest, and when he looked at me, he scowled and stormed down the hallway. The bastard knew he’d been caught.

“He’s always wanted to fire you. What makes him hate you even more now?” Her fingernails scraped over the back of my hand, teasing, but I tugged it away from her, earning a surprised glance.

I winked at her and stood, straightening my suit jacket. “Doesn’t matter.”

She frowned at me, but I waved her off. I had a date. When I got Grayson’s message earlier, my cock threatened to harden at the thoughts of what I, and Bristol, had done to him during his heat. We’d fucked him raw, bred him until he was full of both of us. I shouldn’t have been excited about fucking an omega with my brother, yet I couldn’t get the thought of doing it again out of my head.

Todd glared at me as I sauntered past, and I shot him a wink. “Lunch.”

There was not a goddamned thing he could do, and he knew it. I went to the parking lot and grabbed my keys from the valet, taking my baby out of her protected space, and then headed out into the narrow streets that led to the main part of town.

The coffee shop Grayson wanted to meet at was on Main Street, but I wasn’t going to take the risk of leaving the Lamborghini in a parking spot where someone could hit her, so I took her to the street behind, parking it somewhere more secure. Then I walked to the shop, hands stuffed in the pockets of my Hessian wool Dior dress pants, Bulgari sunglasses on, and a practiced smirk playing across my face. I was going to get laid again, I just knew it.

When I got there, Bristol was hovering near the front door, looking very different than usual. He didn’t have his plaid shirt and scruffy jeans on, but rather a nice pair of pants that looked almost new and a dress shirt that screamed elegance. Nothing as expensive as I’d wear, but the outfit was a step up from his usual attire. He still had that cowboy hat on, though, which ruined his entire appearance.

“What are you doing?” I asked when I strolled up to him.

He jerked in surprise and looked at me. “I was invited too.”

I rolled my eyes. “I don’t mean at the Coffee Nook, Bristol, I mean what are you doing hovering around the front like a frightened virgin about to have sex for the first time.”

Bristol rocked on his heels, hands shoved in his pockets in a similar way to mine. Mom always said that while we had our differences, we also had some similar traits. The thought made me wince, and I tugged my own hands out.

  “I’m not hovering.”

“You are.” I sighed. “Get your ass inside.” I didn’t wait for him to decide whether he had the balls or not. I shoved open the door to the Coffee Nook. I knew a few people inside, and they either greeted me with a smile or a scowl, depending whether I fucked them and fled the next morning, or not. The glorious smell of caffeine filled my nose and teased it with the dark richness.

Grayson sat in the corner, his fluff of red hair bright in the otherwise dull room. There was no one more gorgeous than him in the shop, and I stalked toward him. I didn’t have to look around to know Bristol was hot on my heels, never one to let me take all the glory. He wanted his share of the spoils, after all.

Grayson grinned when he saw us and held out his hand. I expected some sort of nonchalance, but not a handshake. I gave him one anyway because I worked in public relations and knew all about public appearances.

Bristol didn’t say anything as expected, he merely shook Grayson’s hand as well and then sat in the chair near me.

“Thank you for meeting me,” he greeted us. Gaze scanning the room, he leaned in closer. “I missed you.”

“Which one?” I smirked, voice low and husky. “Or did you really like us both at the same time?”

Grayson’s cheeks flamed, and he smiled so softly I felt something tingle inside me. This wasn’t the charismatic mayor of Cherry Hollow, who competed against the biggest asshole and won. That man didn’t blush. “Maybe.” He licked his lips and flipped his stare to Bristol. “I don’t know how I thought you were Blair. Even when you dress up, you’re nothing like him.”

Bristol took off his hat and laid it on the table. He cleared his throat and tugged on the shirt, as if he wasn’t quite sure what to say. That was Bristol for you, a loser when it came to talking to omegas. “I don’t like brand names.” He reached for the menu and opened it, but he continued to study Grayson over the top.

“You have poor taste, that’s why.” I snatched the menu out of his hands and threw it to the side. “You know what you want, don’t pretend you don’t. He’s going to be all shy on you, Grayson.”

“I’m not shy,” Bristol snapped quietly in response, angry eyes turning on me. “Just because we aren’t all an overconfident dick, doesn’t mean we’re shy. Sometimes we have manners.”

  “Who the hell wants manners?”

Grayson touched both our hands, stopping us midargument. “Let’s not argue. I didn’t bring you both here to fight. I like you both and I want to get to know you.”

A selfish part of me wanted to tell Grayson he needed to choose either me or Bristol, but I didn’t really want him to. I enjoyed the idea of sharing him with my twin, which was all kinds of fucked-up.

“Okay, let’s not ruin the afternoon.” Bristol nodded at the menu. “Are you going to look at what you want, Blair, or are you having the usual?”

“Usual.” I rolled my eyes again. As if that was even a real question.

Grayson chuckled. “You two are adorable together.”

“Why? Because we know each other’s usual? We’re twins.” I shrugged. There wasn’t anything cute about knowing what Bristol liked, or him knowing what I ordered. “But let’s talk about why we’re really here.” I leaned forward, my elbows on the table and my hands clasped in front of me.

A waiter walked past, a big sway in his hips. He paused for a moment, wide eyes flickering between me, Bristol, and Grayson, before he shook his head and continued on. I wasn’t even going to ask what that was about.

Once he’d disappeared, I continued, “You want to fuck both of us, don’t you?”

Grayson frowned. “Not to be crass, but yes. It’s more than that, though. I want to get to know both of you.”

I waved my hand impatiently. “Let’s not sugarcoat it. You want both of our cocks.”

“Blair!” Bristol punched me on the arm, glaring. “Not everything is about sex.”

“Uh… I hate to break this to you, but this is about sex. He fucked both of us during his heat. He took a cock in each end. He wants us both at the same time again.” I kept my voice low. As confident as I was, I wasn’t about to ruin Grayson’s reputation, because then that ruined my job, and Todd would finally have a reason to fire me.

Grayson’s cheeks darkened, hiding the freckles on his nose in the deep crimson. He leaned closer, his coffee scent thick in the small space of the corner we were stuck in. “Yes, I do want you both in bed again, but it’s also more than that. You and Bristol are different, even with your appearance similarities. Blair, I like your confidence and your char
m, and even your horrible pickup lines.” His gaze switched to Bristol. “And I like your sweetness and your kindness, and I love how rough your hands are, and how genuine you are. The truth is, if I had to choose between you, I wouldn’t be able to. I want both of you.”

I would have snorted if I wasn’t too busy watching Bristol’s reaction. I expected him to shake his head, tell Grayson he couldn’t share him with me, and walk out of the shop as though nothing had happened. He hated everything about me, so I thought he would have hated the idea. But he didn’t do any of those things.

He smiled and laid his palm over Grayson’s hand. “I like you too, and I’m happy to share you with Blair. If he’s willing?”

Their stares were penetrating, and I almost wanted to torture them by making them wait for an answer, but my cock thickened at the thought of fucking into him while Bristol dominated his mouth. Or maybe the other way around again. Better yet, I wondered if Grayson could take both our cocks in his ass at the same time?

I grinned roguishly. “Oh, I’m very willing.”

I swore I heard Grayson make a tiny sound of excitement in the back of his throat. “We should have coffee first. Chat for a bit, right?”

Bristol smiled. “We should actually get that hot drink, or your cousin will really get suspicious.”

  I frowned. Cousin?

Grayson laughed deeply and nodded at the waiter who’d given us a strange look before. “He’s already trying to figure out how there’s two of you.” He waved at the waiter, who startled and grinned, waving back before sauntering over to us.

“What do we have here?” He canted his hip and put a hand on it, gaze flickering between the three of us. “Twins?”

“Teddy, this is Bristol and Blair Scott, and yes, they are twins.”
