“Yes, sir,” Melody called as she skipped from the room.
Just thinking about her naked bottom lying over his thighs had his pulse pounding and his manhood pressing against the inside of his trousers. It had been a long dry spell between spankings, and she’d asked for one. She hadn’t said, ‘Mitch, please paint my backside red,’ but her defiant cussing signaled invitation and intent.
A spanking followed by make-up sex. Lordy, he was so hard it hurt. He returned to the desk, opened the middle drawer and retrieved the wooden ruler. He slapped it against the palm of his hand. That little piece of wood carried a fierce wallop. He might not use it, but a few light taps might be just the thing to send her over the edge and take him right along.
Mitch took the stairs two at a time tapping the wooden strip against his thigh.
He paused on the landing. Another girl, a girl identical to his Melody, lived in Chicago. The notion created a storm in his stomach. He didn’t doubt that she would answer Melody’s call. The need to reunite as strong as the tide calling to the shore. He would welcome her into their home, their life, his heart.
His innards gave another queer turn. The two of them could get up to mischief the likes of which he could only imagine. He shivered.
Melody and Harmony. Two halves to make the tune complete. They were meant to complement one another, and he would embrace the music, sweet and sour, that they created.
He took the last steps with a measured beat. Melody waited for him on the other side of their closed bedroom door, bloomers down, ready to be spanked. He opened their door.
Melody waited, stripped down to her chemise, in the center of the room.
“Hello, Mitch,” she peered at him through lowered lashes.
He slammed the door shut with his booted foot. The future would take care of itself. He and his woman were going to have an afternoon for the history books.
Step aside Napoleon and Josephine.
Mitch and Melody have arrived.
