  “Then we will sell it,” Alex put the staff in the bag. “Now let’s go to the village.”

  “How will we find out who we should give the crystal,” Trix caught up with Alex and Rina, who were working their way through thick forest.

  “I will offer it to everyone in the public house in Grink,” Alex explained. “First or last we will find the one who will make an exchange.”

  “How will you spend money?” Rina asked.

  “We can hire one more assistant, but we won’t do it,” Alex answered.

  “Why?” Trix was surprised. “The more people are in the squad, the easier it is to complete quests.”

  “You’re right,” Alex nodded. “But we will get less experience because of them, so it will take more time to upgrade level. As I understand, level and equipment are the most important here. We will buy good weapons and take new quest.”

  In twenty minutes Trix lead them to the road. Then in half an hour they were standing in front of the low wooden fence and the gate, which was opened.

  “Astra said that the guard is sleeping drunk,” Rina reminded. “May we find him and kill?”

  “She also said that he’s at high level and well-equipped.” Alex said thoughtfully. “We will enter the public house quietly, give a crystal and buy a lot of equipment.”

  “You promised that we would take a new quest.” Trix said.

  “If we have time, we will,” Alex promised. “Let’s go!”

  Alex walked through the gate and looked around. He saw just five low houses and one two-storey house with the sign “public house”.

  “I will enter the building, wait here.” Alex pointed at the public house. He walked to the door quietly, opened it and entered. The hall was quite bigger, but only some flames were there, so he didn’t see anything because of the darkness.

  “Hrrrr,” the heard.

  “Ohh,” Alex tried not to scream and left the public house.

  “What’s there?” Trix whispered.

  “Have you met the guard?” Rina suggested, seeing his reaction.

  “There’s a dog,” Alex started to explain.

  “What breed?” Trix asked.

  “I haven’t seen,” Alex said. “The lightning is bad, so I didn’t even see the dog well. But judging from the silhouette, it’s a huge beast, he’s lying on the floor and roaring. What will we do?” Alex was in a blue funk.

  “I can kill the dog.” Trix offered calmly.

  “Do you think you will deal with him?” Alex looked at her distrustfully.

  “We’ve just killed a magician, her assistant and an aggressive tree,” Rina reminded. “We can easily kill him, I’m sure.”

  “I’ll be better if I do it, arrows make less noise.” Trix said.

  “Then do it,” Alex tried to pull himself together and took a sword to feel brave. “I will follow you. Rina, be also ready.”

  Trix took an arrow, opened the door and shot at the sound.

  “Aaaaaa,” they heard instead of roaring, when the arrow hit the target. “Fucking jimmies! You’re always hiding in the forest and come here only when I’m sleeping.” The deep angry voice said. The light of the torch illuminated a huge warrior, who had stood up in blue armor. The armor covered the whole warrior’s body except from the hands. Chainmail gloves might have prevented from drinking alcohol and he took them off. He held a mug in his right hand. By chance, Trix’s arrow pierced the arm and then the wooden mug. The arrow nailed the cup to the arm, but this wasn’t the worst. The alcohol was hard enough and caused hellish pain, getting into the wound.

  “This isn’t a dog…” Trix said. “We should…”

  “Uuuuuh,” the warrior cried out and waved a hand, which caused a strong pain. “Heal me! Heal me!” he took a girl, who was sleeping near him, pushed Alex away and run away from the public house.

  “I’m attacking,” Rina kept the wits and shot some fireballs at the archer, who had taken the bow.

  The archer was obviously at a high level, but his light armor wasn't useful in melee battle, and the archers has less vitality than others. And Alex realized that it was time to do something. As a result, he killed him with two quick strikes. A magician, who stood near him, managed to wake up and even put up a shield of lightning. Trix and Rina immediately began shooting at the magic shield. The magician was also at large level, but he was taken aback and, what is more, three enemies attacked him at once. He managed to hold the shield for some minutes, then Trix's arrow flew through the thinning lightning and hit the magician in the shoulder. After that, the shield disappeared at all, Alex jumped to the injured magician and kill him with an accurate strike in the heart.

  “You've got Level Nine,” Alex heard the voice in his head. "You have an access to magical energy. You can learn one skill of attacking or defensive character.

  “I choose the attack,” Alex said immediately and realized that he could give the sword magical power for one blow, which would cause more damage to the enemy. “Let's go outside,” Alex took the sword comfortably. "There is a warrior and a healer. Although they are at high levels, there are less of them, and they are obviously weakened by our sudden attack. Are you ready?"

  “Yeah,” Rina pulled out and quickly drank the last bottle of blue liquid, and Trix just nodded.

  "Let's go." Alex opened the door and jumped into the yard, waiting for the attack, but he didn't met anyone.

  "Where are they?" Rina shook his head blankly.

  “There,” Trix pointed at the opposite side of the road. Two figures were running along it.

  “They're running to the emergency exit,” Rina guessed. "Will we catch up with them?"

  "You may shoot at them,” Alex suggested.

  “They are too fat away for me,” Rina glanced at Trix.

  “It's dark, and they are really far away.” Trix thought for a second. "I can try to catch up with them and only then..."

  “There's no need of it,” Alex ordered. "They are definitely running away from the village. It's good for us. Let's go and give somebody the crystal. Now we shouldn't hurry and hide." Alex hid his the sword in the sheath and entered the public house again.

  He looked around the hall and realized that they would spend a lot of time searching. This public house was five times bigger, so there were more tenants and those personages, who were giving quests.

  “Do you need the crystal?” Alex have easily understood where they are and started to offer everyone a crystal, which they had took from Astra.

  “I can offer you an easy work for 700 coins.” A man in green trench answered. “There are some extremists here…”

  “No,” Alex waved away. He realized that it was a complicated task. Personages didn’t hurry to tell whether they need a crystal. All of them acted as it was programmed: firstly, they were describing a mission, then told what the reward was and said that they didn’t need the crystal.”

  “I don’t want to hear about the task and its price.” Alex shouted impatiently, coming to the next table. There was a small dumpy man, who asked to kill the beast. He ignored the crystal. “The price is 800 coins.”

  “I don’t care about the price!” Alex said irritably and went to the next one. “Price, price…” Alex came up with an idea. “What task do you give?” Alex asked politely, approaching the woman, who was sitting at the next table.

  “There is a monster not far from here,” she started talking. “He kills all the cattle. I will give you 900 coins, if you kill him.”

  “I got it.” Alex nodded.

  “Would you take this quest?” The women asked happily.

  “No,” Alex answered. “Firstly, they offer to complete simple quests, which cost less,” Alex started to think aloud. “Our quest costs ten thousands. It means that we should go to another part of the hall. He went there quickly, sometimes asking about tasks. Then he saw an elder man, who wore an old scuffed trench. He said that he’s a Druid and he couldn’t pray in the forest because of an aggressive tree. If som
ebody killed it, he would give ten thousands for it.

  “Take it,” Alex gave him a crystal.

  “Thanks a lot!” he hid a crystal and gave Alex a small bag. “It’s your reward.”

  “Yeah," Alex nodded, picked up the bag and looked inside distrustfully. "Is it possible to put there ten thousand?" Does the old man want to fool me? " Then he saw green stones and relaxed. "Does one stone cost one hundred coins?"

  “Of course,” the old man nodded.

  “Great,” Alex took out a couple of stones and then tied the bag to his belt.

  “The quest is completed, and we've got money,” Alex went up to the counter of the barman cheerfully, where Trix and Rina were waiting for him. "Dinner for three and two rooms, please. Now we are rich and we can afford everything, so we will have fun!" The barman took a green stone, counted out the change in gold coins and held out two keys.

  “First and second rooms, which are on the second floor next to the stairs, you can sit down at the nearest table, the food will be there in five minutes,” the barman said quickly.

  “I have a question,” Rina asked after he left them.

  "Then ask," Alex and Trix sat down at a table, waiting for heavy supper.

  "Will we have fun today as Astra with her assistants?" Rina whispered.

  "What?" Alex didn't understand her.

  “Well, do you remember Astra said she was entertaining herself with her assistants?” Rina explained. "You promised to explain later. And then we killed her. Apparently, we will never know what she meant,” Rina finished her speech.

  “I know what she meant,” Alex said embarrassedly, he absolutely didn't expect such a question from his assistants.

  "Is this a kind of a new game?" Trix asked.

  “You could say that,” Alex dodged a question.

  "Can you win this game?" Rina asked quickly. "I hate games that I cannot win."

  “This game is for satisfaction, not for winning,” Alex looked thoughtfully at the girls, he couldn't decide what to do. "Do you really want to play it?"

  "Of course!" Trix and Rina nodded simultaneously.

  “Then let's eat quickly and go to my room,” Alex realized that he couldn't miss such an opportunity, he came to this world a long time ago and since then he has never thought about such pleasures, which were usual for him. His whole life here included rest, food and an eternal pursuit of higher level. But he is a man, and two beautiful girls were with him. He managed to eat porridge, salad and chicken in twenty minutes and dragged the girls upstairs.

  “Well, first of all, we should take off clothes,” Alex was really nervous, he was stumbling. Both girls took off clothes quickly, he was staring at their beautiful bodies. Rina’s forms were bigger and more tempting. Trix was very thin, but also attractive. “When I got there, I couldn’t even think that...” Alex said loudly, he got really horny.

  “What’s next?” Rina asked impatiently.

  “This,” Alex caught her and threw on the bed.

  “And that’s all?” Rina asked angrily in a minute. “I’ve just started feeling pleasure and you stopped. Have I done something wrong?”

  “No, no,” Alex waved away. “I always wanted to make it bigger. Now it’s bigger but the result is the same.” He added sadly. “Rina, go and take shower,” Alex pointed at the tap. “Everyone does it after playing this game.” And Alex also went to the tap to wash himself.

  “What about me?” Trix said. “I always want to play this game. I’ve seen everything, so I know what to do.”

  “Oh, I don’t know...” Alex looked at her body, then at nude Rina in the shower and got horny again. “Come to me, now I will do it better.”

  “An interesting feeling,” Trix said in three minutes. “Can we play this game longer?”

  “Yes, we can,” Alex said tiredly and laid on the pillow. “Please, go to your room, we will sleep well. And we will probably play this game tomorrow longer.”

  “Excellent!” Rina nodded and put the clothes on.

  “Will we complete quests too?” Trix asked.

  “Yeah,” Alex said sleepy.

  Chapter 12

  Having woken up, Alex felt great, he had a great sleep. He got up, stretched out and walked up to a small window. The dawn was beginning behind the hazy window, and the rays of the rising sun shone directly on the bed.

  “So-so...” Alex saw a couple of huts and a piece of a fence encircling the village. “I’ll go downstairs to the barman, he has a lot of different weapons,” Alex remembered. “I will buy something new for my assistants. It will be a pleasant surprise for them. I also won’t forget about myself,” he quickly dressed, and as quietly as possible, so as not to wake the girls up, went down. It was very dark in the hall of public house, because lights were off and the sun hasn’t risen yet.

  “I need the most expensive weapon — a sword, a bow, and a magic staff,” Alex whispered. He understood that the girls wouldn’t hear this conversation, but decided not to make noise.

  “Three thousand for each,” a short, bearded man in a greasy dickey also whispered.

  “Okay,” Alex nodded.

  “Then let's start with the selection of a bow,” the barman took three different bows under the counter. “Green upgrades attack speed, blue - accuracy, red increases damage,” he listed the advantages of each one.

  “I'll take the red one,” Alex decided, hesitating, and gave the barman some stones from the bag.

  “What force of nature is interesting for you? You should choose among land, water, fire, air,” he listed and put four small sticks, painted with unfamiliar signs, in front of Alex.

  “Red one is fire?” Alex knew that Rina was good at shooting fireballs and easily made his choice. “I take it,” Alex again handed the stones to the barman and took the staff.

  “Now let’s choose a sword,” the barman pointed at the wall behind his back. There were three straight swords with a small straight crossguard and black braided handle. Swords differed only in stones, which were located on the handle and which were counterbalances.

  “A sword with a red stone increases health, and also health begins to recover by itself,” the barman whispered.

  “Will I need healing pots then?” Alex said.

  “Regeneration is very slow,” the barman shook his head.

  “Okay, forget about it now,” Alex decided. “What else do you have?”

  “A sword with a blue stone increases the energy supply and increases the speed of its recovery,” the barman continued to advertise his product.

  “It's no use,” Alex said disappointedly.

  "What level are you at? Ninth?" the barman asked, waited for an affirmative nod from Alex and continued. "What skills have you learnt?“

  "I've chosen the attacking skill,” Alex explained. "Additional magic damage is added to the blow."

  “Remember that when you use it, you spend energy,” the barman said. “Considering your level, you will be able to make three such blows, and four with an energy sword. What is more, energy restores really quickly."

  “Okay, I got it,” Alex interrupted him. "What about the third sword?"

  "Yellow stone increases the damage of ordinary attacks," the barman pointed at the last sword.

  “I'll take it,” Alex gave him more green stones.

  “Please,” he quickly took a yellow stone sword from the wall, put it in a simple yellow leather sheathe and handed it to Alex.

  “Something is wrong,” Alex tried to get the sword out of its sheath, but he couldn't. "It got stuck, help."

  “No, it didn't get stuck,” he said calmly. "All weapons you bought will be available at the Level Ten."

  "FUCK!" Alex shouted. “Damn you." He turned his back on the barman, and then the morning sun's rays lightened the hall, and Alex saw two girls. There were many visitors in the hall: assistants and those, who were giving quests. Those girls were among the second group. One of them was absolutely bald, tall and muscular. She held a huge ax. The
second attracted Alex's attention much more. She was small, blue-eyed, had short curly golden hair, pleasant facial features, unlike her companion. She looked like Alex's classmate, who was his first love. She went to another country, but he never had the courage to say that he loved her. Of course, he had girlfriends, but he felt only sympathy to them . "El?" He said stunned.

  “My name is Mary,” the girl said loudly, but there was fear in her voice. She was hiding behind her companion. "Who are you?"

  “I'm Alex,” he answered embarrassedly. "We captured the village."

  "Did you kill the owner?" Mary asked.

  “He ran away.” Alex shook his head disappointedly. “But we killed a couple of his assistants.”

  "Will we fight or solve everything peacefully?" He still heard fear in her voice, it seemed that his weapons frightened her.

  “I’m always for peaceful negotiations,” Alex nodded happily. “Did you come to pass the quest?”

  “We’ve already done it,” Mary pointed at the old man, sitting near her. “Do you want to know the price?”

  “I’m not going to rob you,” Alex tried to say it confidently. “We’ve just completed the quest and got ten thousand for it, so we don’t need money now.”

  “Wow,” Mary was surprised. “What levels are you at?”

  “All of us are at Level Ten.” Alex boasted.

  “But your weapon is available only on Level Ten,” Rina didn’t understand him. “Why have you bought it?”

  “It’s my mistake,” Alex was staring at Mary, he seemed to fall in love again. He decided that this time he would definitely say about it. But “I fell in love with you at first sight!” sounded stupid. “I’m ready to be your guard!” also wasn’t a good option, because she’s also had an assistant and she might think that he wanted to be only her friend. So he decided not to hurry with such words. When he was on holidays, he easily flirted with women, but this time it was much harder, he couldn’t even make up a sentence.

  “What will we do then?” Mary didn’t like this long pause in their dialogue.

  “You have beautiful hair,” Alex finally said something.
