Swamp Happens: The Complete Swamp Bottom Series
Page 77
Crystal, I don’t know how you do it, but please don’t ever stop. You are the glue that holds our fragile brains together. Thank you for being a sounding board, even when it has nothing to do with books or business. You are one of my favorite people and best friends. I am so happy to have met you and feel incredibly blessed to have you in my life…even when you let the crazy bitch out and give advice that might send me to jail. Love you, Boo. #CuntSquad
Swamp Bitches, each and every one of you are the reason we were able to push through and finish this series. Your encouragement and enthusiasm for these two wacky Southern sisters propelled this series to become the beast that it is. Thank you so much for your support, and passion, we love you! #SwampBitches
J, shit, I should start off by apologizing for putting so much of our sex life into books, but you’d know I didn’t mean it. Thank you for always supporting and encouraging me, and also not murdering me when my alarm goes off at 4 am and I hit snooze twelve times. The simple fact that you read all my books cover to cover without hesitation means everything to me. You don’t just talk the talk; you show me your support every day in everything you do, even if that means doing the dishes that I forgot to do. You’re the best, babe! XOXO

Wow. The end is so final. I had such mixed emotions as I typed the last word of the last chapter of this series that I just stopped and stared at the screen for a good half hour, not really knowing what to do with myself. Swamp Bottom started as a joke between two best friends over a box of wine. What it turned into was something much bigger than either of us ever imagined. It consumed us. It freed us. It angered us. It fulfilled us. It stressed us out. It made us laugh. It made us crazy. It made us push ourselves to limits we had no idea we even possessed. However, in the end, it became a part of us. Addie, Savvy, Zep, Pope, Bam-Bam, and especially Babs became us, and we became them. They became living, breathing family members who will live within us forever. Our goal was to entertain you, make you laugh, make you swoon, make you fall in love, and if we did our job, make you see a little bit of yourselves in this crazy Swamp family of ours. If we accomplished even one of those, then it was all worth it. Thank you for allowing our world into yours.
K.A., 2017 will go down forever as the year of the Swamp. Who would have thought that one little intoxicated idea would have grown into this? It hasn’t been easy. We’ve had moments where we’ve wanted to blow each other up with one of Bam’s blo torches, and others where we wanted to toast each other with a bottle of Babs’ finest for coming down to the wire with our sanity (somewhat) intact. I think it’s safe to say that this was the craziest shit we’ve ever tackled. Thank you for pushing me when I needed to be pushed, talking me off the ledge when I wanted to jump, and just being there to hash out everything from plot lines to lifelines. Thank you so much for not writing me off as a crazy fan years ago (although I would’ve just stalked you until you changed your mind anyway). #duckflu4lyfe
Crystal, I don’t know how you do it sometimes. Beyond answering my middle of the night texts, to having my back in all kinds of bizarre situations, to beta reading at the 11th hour, you do it all with grace. I could never thank you enough for all you do for me because that would be a book in itself. You are so much more than a PA. You’re the best of the best and the glue that keeps this twisted mafia from needing bail money and a good lawyer.
KC Fernandez, you are a superhero. Thank you for taking on the enormous task of editing all seven Swamp Bottom novellas and finding Pope’s long lost Happy Days sister.
Swamp Bitches, know who you are, and you know we would be nothing without you. From day one, you have supported this series and championed our swamp family to anyone who would listen. We dedicate this book to you and hope we’ve done you proud in their final send-off. We love you all. Ya Ya!
To my family, yes, it’s over. I know, all the times I said, “Whew, that’s over,” only to nose dive right into the next installment, you rolled your eyes and just shook your heads. I promise to never, never, never do another novella series again. This year. Love you, mean it.
Cora’s Twisted Alpha Addicts and Cora’s Dark Angels, thank you for your laughs, love, and constant support. You keep us going and we look forward to new series, new books, and new adventures.
Mom, my favorite memory is sitting in that hotel room with you while you read Voodoo and Vodka for the first time and hearing you bust out laughing every other page. Those are the moments that make what I do worth it.
Kay, I mentioned it in the beginning of this series, but thank you for giving life to Babs. Every time I struggled with how to create her “voice”, you would say something so random in some weird garbled Southern/Russian accent that I had to grab a pen and start writing. Evil Meester Cora thanks you.
And a special thank you to my Ma-Maw, the original Babs, whose off-the-wall phrases and bizarre words of wisdom were eventually morphed into so many Babisms that you live in infamy. I always told you that one day I would write a book about you. I am a granddaughter of my word. I miss you.

Writing is not her only passion, K.A. also serves on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit and spends way too much time reading. She believes in the power of words, alpha females, and that special escape you get when you hunker down and dig into a good book.
When she’s not busy mothering, working, writing, or reading she enjoys spending time with family and friends and embracing the weirdness and wonder that is the Pacific Northwest. K.A. loves to cook and is often found tinkering in the kitchen and trying to feed anyone that walks through her door. She is obsessed with music, so if you find yourself at a metal show in Portland—take a look around—she’s the crazy redhead headbanging at the front.

Cora Kenborn is a USA Today Bestselling author who writes in multiple genres from dark and gritty romantic suspense to laugh-out-loud romantic comedy. Known for her sharp banter and shocking blindsides, Cora pushes her characters and readers out of their comfort zones and onto an emotional roller coaster before delivering a twisted happily ever after.
Cora believes there’s nothing better than a feisty heroine who keeps her alpha on his toes, and she draws inspiration from the strong country women who raised her. Oh, and autocorrect thinks she's obsessed with ducks.
