  They finished claiming and mating, that brought some peace to Snow. The two new marks showed up soon after, it felt weird but at the same time I am content with what I am able to have. I’m trying to find peace in having my promise broken against my will and losing my mate. Mitchel and Daxton may have been two people at this point in time, but the fates wanted them as one.

  Chapter 7

  ~ Mitchel ~ Tenelle ~

  The Memorial Cavern …

  “Fuck that hurt, what the hell did he hit us with?” Daxton says sitting up rubbing his chest.

  “His claw, at this point I could care less. The last thing I saw before everything went black, was Mary-Anne stabbing Snow. We need to get out of here and make sure she is ok. We will need to go back to Trin’s den.” I says looking around.

  “I think that isn’t a possibility. Those would be our bodies!” Daxton says pointing at two bodies lying in the center of a room on alters.

  “Where are we? Why are we in here?” I asks as Daxton starts to look at the walls and items on shelves.

  “This is a sacred chamber, from what I can read it is for Silver Shadow kin. But we weren’t Silver Shadow born. So why are we in here? This is their memorial cavern.” Daxton says moving to a plaque with a book on it in the doorway.

  “Tenelle is though. Were we brought here because we are her mate? She was so hurt when I looked in her eyes. There was so much pain, I just want to hold her and make it right for her.” I says.

  “We will, but first to finish what she was trying to do. That was find a way to get us back together as the one person we were supposed to be. I think I found the spell dad and mom used to separate the two sides. There is no way to reverse it if what I am reading is correct. This would have been permanent.” Daxton says looking at a book sitting on the plaque.

  “Shit, I know they did it to keep people from getting their hands on the map, but they totally fucked up! Didn’t they look at the spell before using it?” Mitchel says with anger.

  “I honestly don’t know. Dad never talked about it much after mom left, he would get really upset if I asked about mom. Then one day he found his mate, she was a beautiful lady. He seemed so happy. I left for the coven when they had their little girl, my stepmom told me I was more than welcome to stay. She always treated me great and all, but it just didn’t feel right. I didn’t feel right.” Daxton says looking lost in memories.

  “When was that? Mom died when I was 14. That is when Monica and Lucas took me in. I wish they hadn’t though.” I says with Daxton giving him a strange look.

  “Why? They were good people, weren’t they?” Daxton says question my reasoning.

  “They were, Trin wasn’t. They were Trin’s parents. Even then he wasn’t a good person. On his 19th birthday, he let his dragon rip apart a little girl’s dog. His birthday this year, he forced a stripper to have sex, because he didn’t find his mate in time.” I says.

  “Wait he is 24?” Daxton asks.

  “Yea, he is 5 years older. His dragon is going through a growth phase right now, so he is more aggressive, or he is just a huge asshole to begin with.” I says looking through the spell Daxton was reading. “Daxton, there is a way to reverse this, and you were right this is the spell to separate our two sides.”

  “Then what is the way for us to reverse it?” Daxton says coming back over to me and the book.

  “One or both sides had to die to be reconnected. So, we got that far, now for the rest. It doesn’t say there is anything else though, so after this I am not sure.” I says as I look at Daxton defeated.

  “That would be where I come in gentlemen.” A white dog says from the door causing both myself and Daxton to jump. “Welcome to the Silver Shadow Blood Memorial Cavern. It is quiet the honor to be put in here when not of the Silver Shadow bloodline. It must be because you are the Solar Celestial Guard.”

  “Ohh ok … umm who are you?” Daxton asks with a bit of nervousness showing.

  “I am Talisa, I know Tenelle. I can feel her heartbreak, she is in great pain. Nothing they are doing to her compares to what her heart is going through.” Talisa says walking in and around Daxton and me.

  “If they hurt her, I am going to haunt them forever and make them go insane!” I grits out.

  “Oh, silly boy, no you’re not! You’re going to reconnect with your other side here. Get Tenelle out of that dragon’s den, fuck her brains out, have lots of babies, kill Mary-Anne and live happily ever after!” Talisa says with a houndish smile.

  “Well, that is pretty specific for our future, but how do you know that? And what about Trin?” Daxton asks looking back and forth, between Talisa and I. “Wait, you’re the one currently pregnant with 23 puppies! You look good for carrying that many pups.”

  “Thank you, but Hades removed them to grow within the damned souls. He does that with every litter, it helps train them to hunt them down. Hellhounds need to be able to find the ones that will hide. The Underworld is going to have a shit ton of pups coming and this was only my first heat since going down. But it was also 4 weeks long, so the 268 pups is not a surprise to me.” Talisa says, and continues to laugh when my eyes bugging out. “And I know your future because your goddess told it to me. She has big plans for the five of you, and Trin is all Tenelle’s, girl has a serious killer attitude towards that dragon.”

  “Well then let’s make those plans come true. I have a beautiful Owl shifter to get back too and make feel loved! I screwed up, now because of that we are sitting here and Trin is doing who knows what to her.” I says looking heated with the thought of Trin touching Tenelle.

  “Don’t worry about that, Zed is making sure they are punished for everything they do to Tenelle. Trin beat the fuck out of Mary-Anne for stabbing Tenelle already, but Zed said that wasn’t enough.” Talisa says and shivers when she says Zed’s name.

  “So, what else do we need to do to get put back together and what was our name before mom and dad split me into two people?” Daxton asks.

  “You already go by your birth name. Daxton Mitchel, or DM as your dad called you for a while. This will be the last time you will need to come back. You have been reborn hundreds of times because you are the Solar Celestial Guard. This time though, you got a kick ass mate, and won’t be needing to come back, because you’ll never leave! Got to love immortality.” Talisa says and wiggles her hound eyebrows or tries too at least.

  “Cool, but what do we need to do to become one again?” Daxton asks again.

  “Well, that is more on Mitchel’s end. Why would you reject your mate? You seem to love her so much, yet you rejected her.” Talisa says and lays down to get belly rubs, her hound is wanting attention too and Daxton obliges.

  “I was lost for so long, even as a child I felt unloved and lost. My mom was always worried about Daxton. I thought it was because I was weak in magic and no one would want a weak mate. I studied as much as possible, but nothing changed. Then when mom died, I died too because I thought I lost the chance to find Daxton. Trin targeted that and would make me feel even worse about myself. When I found Tenelle, I was so happy until Mary-Anne made comments about her and how I wasn’t good enough. She told Trin and he basically told me the same thing, he convinced me that in order to have Tenelle as my mate I needed to gain power. I am now realizing it was to keep me and use me until they could get the map. I never told them I knew where it was, that Tenelle was its true guardian. When I talked to Tenelle after she helped Hayden put the block up, I realized my mistake. Especial when she asked me to come with her for us to claim each other, she still loved me and wanted me. That's how I knew it wasn’t just because of the mate bond. After she talked to her dad, she came to me at home. She was so scared that I had found another mate when I asked about the owl on my wrist. She didn’t give me a chance to say yes or no, she claimed me. I wasn’t going to make the same mistake twice, so I claimed her as well. We made love for 4 hours, I had never felt so …” I says having a hard time to describe the feeling.

  “Yea, I felt complete is the best way to discribe it. I didn’t want to let that go, but by that time it was too late. Trin and Mary-Anne came back with a lot of wounds. Tenelle used them for target practice, and I refused to heal them. So, they tied me up and then Trin killed me after shooting Tenelle. I think he was trying to kill one of the other two with her.” I finish.

  “Well one, you really can’t kill a goddess, especially your goddess. Trin trying to kill Gaia is a bad idea. They were trying to let fate occur, but when Trin shot Tenelle. Both Hecate and Gaia needed to use their powers to keep her alive, they knew this was the only way to keep Tenelle away from you, so that you could die to be reconnected as one.” Talisa says with her head laying on her paws.

  “Alright, let’s get to it! I want to be in bed with Tenelle's gorgeous little legs wrapped around me and have my cock buried deep in her pussy! I need to feel her, make love to her, and hear her screaming in pleasure. Now how do we do this?” Daxton says causing Talisa to rollover and laugh at his horny declaration.

  “Well, that was quite direct wasn’t it?” Talisa says still laughing.

  “It’s all his fault talking about making love to Tenelle for 4 hours. I am hard as a fucking rock thinking about it!” Daxton says pointing at me.

  “No that’s rigor mortis Daxton, sorry.” I say snickering and getting punched in the shoulder. Talisa is howling with laughter.

  “Oh, my fucking god! That was awesome!” Talisa says crying from laughing so hard. “Ok you two, let’s get you put back together. I can see that what one is missing the other one has!” Talisa moves over to both Daxton and I. She blurs what seems like an invisible seam between us and push us together. It didn’t take much, as soon as our two sides met it pulled us into one.

  “So how does that feel now? It might take a bit to get used to being whole again, but it should come quick. Your voice and features are still pretty much the same with a little variance, but I will let you discover that for yourself. Time to go back, I am dropping your ass off somewhere familiar.” Talisa say as I looks myself over and trying to find my lost voice.

  “Thank you!” I whisper. Talisa gives a houndish smile and then everything goes black.

  “Fuck that hurts! What the hell?” I says getting up from the floor of my house. “She couldn’t put us on our bed?” I ask looking around, then I remember I need to check on Daxton. “Hey, can you hear me Daxton or is it all me now and we are one?”

  “I am only here for a bit, kind of like slow blend and simmer. What do we look like? And you are right why just drop us on the floor?” Daxton sends back. I go to the bathroom to check out what I now look like. I look in the full-length mirror hangs on the back of the door.

  “We still look the same, hair is shorter though. The muscles seemed to grow huge damn we doubled in size at least!” I say looking at my new muscle ripped body in the mirror. “Definitely need to get dressed, your midnight blue hair was definitely more dominant then my white. Although there is streaks of white throughout, looks odd I am braiding it for sure!”

  “Now that did not sound manly at all dude! I like it, looks good and it actually matches our eyes! Maybe brushing it would make it look better, instead of like a rat’s nest!” Daxton says.

  “Dax what if she doesn’t recognize us? Her mate mark is gone, we have to find her again and reclaim her. What if she is so hurt, she doesn’t want us?” I ask him, looking in the mirror to see if it’s both his and my hurt and worry, or if it’s just mine.

  “Never! You rejected her because someone else tricked you and fed you lies. But she still loved you and wanted you! It was never about our power, our looks or about how smart we were. Hell, I thought a demon was my damn coven leader! She loved us because we loved her, because we both still no matter what fought for her. She loves us because we are goof balls that make her laugh, I love seeing that spark she gets when she is being the biggest and most sarcastic shit ever!” Daxton says with a chuckle. “Well, it is time to stop being separate and be whole. Take care of her and know that it is totally me coming out when we fall for her tricks! I am a sucker for her eyes, and she plays us so well!”

  “Thanks man, will do!” I says and feels the last of Daxton blend in. “Ok I probably smell like death I should shower quick.” After getting cleaned up and dressed, I walks through the house realizing it is empty of all my stuff. Everything but the clothes and my phone are gone. I quickly unlocked my phone and dialed the first number I could remember, Coven leader Scarlet.

  “Hello?” She answers.

  “Hello Leader Scarlet, my name is Daxton Mitchel McGill. I am …” I say but don’t get to finish.

  “Holy fucking Hades! They got you put back together! Where is Tenelle? She must be so happy?” Scarlet says cutting me off.

  “That’s the problem, I don’t know what day it is, Trin killed me and Daxton. It needed to happen for us to be reconnected. Trin took Tenelle, she was hurt pretty bad.” I says and can hear Scarlet breathing hard on the other end. Then there is a small conversation in the background.

  “It’s been two weeks, mom just popped in at the same time you called. Where are you? Can you get Tenelle out of Mary-Anne and Trin’s hands?” Scarlet asks with anger coming through.

  “I would if I knew where they were. I can’t connect to him anymore, so our brother’s oath is broken for good. What the hell is that?” I ask as a giant ass green frog with teeth slips in through the window.

  “What? Who is there with you?” Scarlet asks sounding frantic at losing the chance to get Tenelle back.

  “A 6-foot-tall green frog with teeth just walked into my house. He has a white mohawk.” Mitchel says as he looks at Zed who is tapping his watch.

  “Oh ok, that’s Zed, mom is connecting to you. I’ll have a portal set up to bring you back here. It will only work when you have Tenelle. Tell Zed I want to talk to him also please! He has probably been keeping an eye on Tenelle.” Scarlet says … “Ok the portal is up. Go get her, bring her home safe please!”

  “Ok see you soon.” I say ending the call and look at Zed, “First where is Enox, Nazareth and Levi? They are safe right? Second, Leader Scarlet wants to talk to you.”

  “Yes, they are back at the Great Theater with Tenelle’s clan. We need to get her out before Trin gets back. He has left the den unprotected.” Zed says and the two of us head out. Running down the street and going around back of the house.

  Trin’s den …

  I hear a loud crash and a roar, then someone starts yelling. It’s Mary-Anne, so I imagine she is yelling at me for fucking up her plans. Every so often, Trin comes in and brings something from Mitchel’s house. A shirt, his pants, one of his books, trying to get me to come back. Nothing has worked though, and I hear his brokenness too as I feel him sit with me.

  “I can’t believe he has been gone a year. You pulled away at the same time, it’s been a whole year. Mary-Anne is losing her mind, I miss him Tenelle. I know I was the one to take you both away from each other. I ultimately took you both away from me too because I was stupid. It’s getting harder to come back out of my dragon, he has lost what he held as being important because of me. When I go next time, I am going to let Enox end my life. We have tried to get one of the wolves three or four times now, but constantly get our asses handed to us. I miss you Tenelle.” Trin says. I get a dead cold shiver down my spine. What an asshat, even in this state I can hear his stupidity.

  “Well this is a good place to hide! Even I had a hard time finding you!” Hecate says as she comes over a fallen tree.

  “Of course, you would find me. No breadcrumbs, right?” I say looking at her with a half ass attempt at a smile.

  “No, no breadcrumbs. When are you coming out? We need to get this fixed and set things right.” Hecate says rubbing my back in a clockwise direction. This isn’t normal for Hecate and her answer is wrong. She is always sarcastic and tells me she leaves a trail of bread loaves; she also is weird and ru
bs your back in a counterclockwise direction.

  “Has it been a year already, time moves differently in here.” I ask looking at Hecate.

  “What do you mean? It’s been two weeks since Mitchel died and Trin took you. Where the hell did you get that?” Hecate says with this screwy face.

  “Trin told me that, he was trying to get me out, so they can use me to get to the maps.” I say looking at Hecate and noticing her eyes aren’t right, they are green not purple. I start to laugh, then touch Hecate and shift into Mary-Anne’s dreams. “Not to fuck smart at all Mary-Anne! But thank you for giving me a place to play. By the way, the little counter you put in place won’t work.” I say as I hit the one standing behind me knocking her flat. She thought this attempt at a funhouse glass maze would work, not even close!

  “How did you know?” Mary-Anne says getting up to her feet, only for me to stomp on the inside of her knee. Sending her back to the floor screaming.

  “You are being honest about what day it was. I have been popping in and out, even bad guys must sleep. I also fucked your machine, so it is nothing more than a pretty paperweight. It isn’t even taking from you while I am in here. By the way, owls can’t see glass!” I say grabbing her arm and snapping it. She screams and tries to keep me from inflicting more damage.

  “I know how to get Daxton back! He isn’t dead!” She says holding her arm to her chest, as I look at her, thinking of what else I could do.

  “Mary-Anne, Mitchel and Daxton were the same person. He was the lost Solar Celestial Guard. When Trin killed Mitchel, he killed Daxton. My mate’s mark is gone because he is dead!” I say hitting her so hard that I shift out of her dreams. I walk over to the machine and rip out the power cord, I then also walk over to my own body and shift back in. I open my eyes to see Mary-Anne isn’t getting up. I take off the IV and machines they were using to keep me alive while I healed. I hear Trin just walk through the front door, that gives me time to get out the window. I slide it open and slip out, when I go to touch the ground hands have me.
