The Masters- RE- Revolver

I nodded towards him, “She’s right. Everything we have investigated leads back to the H.N.A. We need to confront them and Sharik.”
“Well, if you are going to do that, then I’m going to help you,” she stated.
Revolver and I looked at her confused.
I asked her, “How so?”
“Fight alongside you, of course,” she responded confidently.
Revolver looked at what he was wearing, “Well with these street clothes, we aren’t the best equipped for the big fight that is sure to come with confronting the H.N.A.”
“Well, I can help with that as well. Follow me upstairs,” Claymore replied.
Claymore led us out of the room and upstairs. We entered a bedroom, and Claymore opened a closet and rummaged through it. Looking around I could tell this was her room since it was large bedroom.
“Here it is,” She spoke, taking out a box.
It looked a little dusty. She opened it and pulled out some fighting gear.
“This was Dad’s. He got this incase he had to fight, but never got to use them. I’m sure he would have wanted you to have them,” she explained to Revolver.
Revolver examined the gear.
“Nice. This could work,” Revolver said.
Claymore turned to me, “I don’t know what I could do for you. The only extra gear I have is for a woman.”
“It’s alright. I have something I can change into,” I told her.
“Oh. Okay then. I guess you can change in here. I’ll leave you boys to it,” Claymore said, walking out of the room and closing the door behind her.
Revolver and I then got changed. I got done before Revolver did. It felt good to be back in my robes and cloak although something was missing. I couldn’t put my finger on it. Revolver finished after about fifteen minutes of me waiting for him. He was now wearing black tight flex armor with light chest armor, gloves, wrist bracers, and boots that were all black and blue. He looked like he added his hood and piece of fabric that hung off his left shoulder just like his assassin outfit.
Chapter 20 – A New Leaf
We met up with Claymore downstairs by the front door. She was dressed in her own attire and had a sword on her back, ready for combat like us.
“Finally, you’re done,” she spoke, smirking.
Revolver replied, “Yeah, sorry. I wanted to make some changes to Dad’s gear, so it was more me.”
Claymore nodded, “It definitely works.”
“I like your gear,” I complimented.
Her gear had and a black and baby blue color scheme. She had sleeveless flex armor that strapped around her shoulders and was a one piece that stopped half-way down her legs. It almost looked like swim wear. She had boots and fingerless gloves on that stop half-way up her forearms, as well as a translucent skirt that was opened in the front that attached to a belt. Also attached to her belt was a sheathed sword.
“Thank you, Spex. It’s a new type of Flex armor meant to enhance water users with their abilities. It’s great for swimming. The other types weigh you down a bit in water,” She explained.
“Now I wish I had that,” Revolver said.
“You should look into getting the male version,” Claymore told him.
Revolver replied, “I should.”
“So, are we ready to go?” I asked them.
“Yeah, where is the H.N.A. base?” Claymore wondered.
Revolver answered, “It’s in the east part of the Dark Empire. Not too far from the Dark Empire/Roc Domain border. The H.N.A. rebuilt the same base the Rebellion used.”
Claymore sighed, “I’m sure it was not too long after the E.T.B. stopped keeping tabs on it.”
“Pretty much,” I responded.
“Kids! Come down here!” Claymore yelled.
The kids then started to come down the stairs. Skyla came all the way down while Macen stopped about halfway. He still looked upset and was wearing a jacket with the hood up covering part of his face.
“Get your stuff together. You guys are going to go to Grandma’s house until Dad gets you,” Claymore ordered.
Skyla nodded, “Okay Mommy.”
She ran off and disappeared back upstairs. Macen slowly did the same after sighing.
Claymore nodded in disappointment, “That boy, I swear. Let’s go outside and wait for them.”
“Sounds good,” Revolver agreed.
We exited the house and waited for the kids. Claymore pulled out her comphone and began to quickly type out a message and then send it.
“I was just telling Aldus to get the kids when he returns and what is going on,” she explained.
“Good,” I responded.
Something then caught our attention that was off in the distance. I sensed someone nearby but couldn’t see anything. We looked around but couldn’t see anything.
“You guys sense that, right?” I asked them.
They nodded cautiously. The kids finally exit the house. They stopped when they saw that we were cautiously looking around.
“Mommy?” Skyla questioned, shaking.
She was scared, and I couldn’t blame her. Macen seemed taken aback at what was happening.
“Stay back, kids,” Revolver said to them.
Suddenly, something jumped down from the trees. We were quick to unsheathe our swords. We stood our ground as the person stood up straight and took off their hood. It was then revealed to be Lilith.
“Lilith?” Revolver questioned.
Claymore started to run towards her, but it was Revolver who put his hand up in front of her to stop her from attacking Lilith. Lilith readied to fight back.
Revolver asked Lilith, “What are you doing here?”
Without lowering her guard, she answered, “I came to warn you.”
“About what?” I questioned.
“It’s Sharik. He’s on his way to find you personally,” she answered.
I looked at Revolver and said, “As to be expected.”
Revolver then questioned, “So I guess you tracked us, huh?”
She lowered her defensives and explained, “Yes. I’m also not here to fight. I’m here to help. I’ve been wondering why you left, so I did some digging around and I finally realized what we were doing was wrong. I’m sure you’ve come to the same conclusion. I want peace but killing in order to force peace isn’t the way to go.”
Revolver walked closer to her. She crossed her arms and looked down, her hood covered most of her face, but I could tell she was crying. Revolver started to comfort her.
“I’ve killed so many people because I thought they were bad, but it was the other way around. I’m so stupid,” she said in an upset tone.
Revolver hugged her and replied, “It’s okay, Lilith. I have realized the same thing.”
Her sobbing stopped as she looked up at him and he looked back, “I hoped you did. Deep down, this whole time. I knew you were different.”
They starred at each other for minute and embraced each other intently. They then kissed each other. Claymore and I got awkward and began to look away in different directions. I looked back as they looked at us. We all chuckled.
“Eww!” Skyla said in disgust.
Revolver and Lilith looked at her, chuckled and let go of each other.
“Sorry. Anyways, I’m done being an assassin. I want to do good and help you stop the H.N.A.,” Lilith told us.
I smirked, “Good. The more help the better.”
“As long as you’re willing to help, then that’s good for me,” Claymore added.
I then questioned, “So, I guess we take on Sharik now?”
“Well if he is coming to us, I’d rather him not come here. If we are to stop him, we need to go to him.” Revolver stated.
Claymore was giving Revolver a look. It took a moment before Revolver realized what she meant.
“Oh, I guess I haven’t introduced you yet. Lilith, this is my sister, Claymore. She’ll be joining us which makes it four of us,” Revolver said to Claymore.
“It’s good to meet you,” Claymore greeted to Lilith, smiling.
Lilith took off her hood, revealing her blonde short hair. She had a braid off to the side. She also had a heavy amount of eyeliner and eye shadow on.
Lilith replied smiling back, “You as well.”
“So, I’m guessing you want to get rid of the assassin attire?” I asked her.
She replied, “Yes, actually. That would be a good idea.”
“I can help you with that. Come on in the house and we’ll fix you up,” Claymore volunteered.
“That would be great. Thank you.” Lilith responded.
They walked into the house, and we just waited outside again. Revolver continued to look around. He then got a surprised look on his face.
“Now I recognize this place. Claymore and I played here when we were kids. We used to build forts and play games here. There were more trees though, but they were obviously cut down,” Revolver said with a smile.
I gave a smile as well. I started to wish I remembered my past. I felt like there was a good friend I had when I was kid that I had good memories of. We continued to wait in silence. I could tell Revolver was getting impatient.
“They sure are taking their time,” Revolver spoke, crossing his arms.
“Impatient as always, Revolver,” a voice said.
I turned around and Revolver turned his head in the same direction. The voice sounded familiar. There was an old woman approaching us. She wore mostly blue and her grey hair was in a ponytail. She looked so familiar, but I couldn’t put my finger on.
“Granny Tana,” Revolver said.
He had a surprised look on his face.
I became puzzled and started to question, “Tana? Like the last cast who took down the Resurrect?”
I continued to study her as she made her way over to us.
“It’s been a long time, Revolver,” she said.
Revolver nodded as his surprised look went away, “Yes, it has, Granny. I’m glad to see you again.”
“You as well. I see you brought your….” she said before she got a shocked look on her face.
Revolver and I looked at each other then back at her.
“Spex? Is that you? From the future that helped me years ago fight Dark Vanquisher?” Tana questioned to me.
I was extremely confused and answered, “Excuse me? I don’t know what you are talking about.”
Revolver added, “Granny, I met Spex in an alley.”
“Yeah and I kind of remember being from the Central Union. I couldn’t have been around over fifty years ago.” I explained.
She began to look puzzled.
After a moment, she spoke, “No, you have to be the same one. Your power feels the same as it did back then. Follow me to my house. I have something of yours.”
Tana started to turn around to walk back the same she came, but Revolver got down on his hands and knees.
“Wait, Granny. I have something to say,” he said facing down.
Tana stopped and turned her head, with a look of curiosity. I was curious as well.
“I’m sorry for what happened. I didn’t mean for any of this to happen. I should have faced everyone and found a way to deal with the fact that Claymore was better than me. I instead ran away from my problems,” he explained, with sincerity in his voice.
Tana turned her body towards Revolver and smiled, “It’s okay, Revolver, I don’t blame you. What happened was upsetting, but it was even more upsetting when you ran away.”
Revolver looked up with tears running down his face. Tana approached Revolver and gave him a hug after he stood up. He then hugged her back after a moment of processing.
Revolver smiled and said, “I’m glad you’re not mad at me.”
They let go, and Tana ordered, “I’m glad your safe. Let’s get going to my house.”
“That sounds like a plan,” I responded.
Tana led us down a path that led to large clearing path off to one side by two houses. The same houses that we saw last time we were here. We approached the closer of the two houses.
“It’s inside my house. This way,” Tana told us.
“Hey, Granny, where is Mom?” Revolver asked.
Tana answered, “Oh, Ramona went to Prism City. With Evo’s return after all these years, she feels this will be the last big story she reports on before retiring.”
“So, she’s finally retiring from being a reporter, huh?” Revolver curiously said.
“I’ve heard about Evo in the news. Not really sure who he is though,” I said.
“Oh, he is the hero and protector of Prism City, which is on the continent Yovan. Only a few people know his true Identity, one of them being me.”
I pointed out, “Sounds like a super-hero.”
“Can you tell us?” Revolver asked.
Tana shook her head with a smile, “Sorry, it’s not my secret to share.”
We entered the house, and Revolver and I looked around curiously. I got a familiar feeling, like I used to come here all the time. I looked at Revolver whose head was looking all around, examining the different parts of the house.
“This place hasn’t really changed,” Revolver concluded.
Tana pointed out, “No, we’ve updated the furniture and the kitchen since I started to own the house.”
She then stopped at a drawer in the middle of the hallway we were in. She opened the top drawer and began to rummage through it. I started to get curious.
“Here it is. It’s been in here for so long,” she said.
She turned her attention to me and handed me a pair of goggles. I took them and examined them.
“Before you disappeared, these were knocked off your head. You said you came back from the future and helped me with taking down the rebellion and stopping the return of Dark Vanquisher. That was about fifty years ago,” Tana explained.
I looked at her surprised.
‘How could that be? I’m not even that old?’ I thought.
“But that doesn’t make sense, Granny. Spex doesn’t look a day past his mid-twenties,” Revolver wondered, confusingly.
Tana explained, “Well, I didn’t know it was you until a couple of years later when your younger self got caught up with The Resurrect. I remember you were also chasing after someone at the time. I didn’t catch his name, but he had a scythe and couldn’t see his face. But, if it isn’t you, you look way too much like him.”
I tried to remember for a moment, then spoke, “I’m sorry, Tana. I don’t have any memory of helping you.”
“Wait, you said a man with a scythe, and you couldn’t see his face?” Revolver questioned Tana.
“Yeah. Why, did you know him?” Tana asked back.
Revolver looked at me with a look of realization. I was doing the same back to him.
“Remnant,” we said in unison.
I pointed out, “I remember that he said something about a connection between us. I wonder if that was what he was talking about.”
I put the goggles on my head over my forehead. I finally felt complete. This was what was missing this whole time. Our attention was turned to behind us. It was Skyla running up to us.
“Hey, Mom and that Lilith lady are outside waiting for you,” she told us.
“Okay, we’re coming. Thank you, Skyla,” Revolver responded.
He petted her head as we walked by. She gave him a big smile, and he smiled back. Tana and I smiled as well. We exited the house and saw Claymore and Lilith waiting for us.
Lilith was now in different, all black combat gear. She wore sleeveless combat top with a tight sleeveless undershirt. That was tucked into a belt. She had gloves that went up past her elbows, as well as a small cape with a hood. She had tight leggings and boots on. Over her leggings was a short skirt.
“You still have that assassin look, huh?” I asked her.
“I think it fits,” Claymore responded.
“I agree. You look ready,” Revolver complimented to Lilith.
Lilith put her hand up and was briefly covered by Nether aura.
“You’re a Nether User,” Tana pointed out.
“Yes. I was born and raised in the Dark Empire, so it makes sense that I would be able to use Nether. I recently discovered my abilities, but I don’t really know how to use them,” she said.
