Body in Danube now murder enquiry
Budapest Police confirm the grisly discovery of an adult male corpse in the River Danube is now under investigation as murder. The victim, identified as Gennaio Colacino, was an Italian national from Naples. In response to a question from our journalist, a police spokesman confirmed the man had died from a wound to the throat. Social media connects the victim to Michelin-starred chef and philanthropist Agusto Colacino, of celebrated restaurant Ecco. The chef has yet to comment. Reuters
Dear Reader
Wet, soggy and fished out of the Mediterranean, Beatrice has lived to tell the tale. Case over. Or is it? With Gennaio’s body washing up in Budapest, there may be loose ends. PI Stubbs finds private investigating is a lonely job when visiting perfume houses in Paris, a chateau in Bordeaux or fashion shows at Versailles. Enter an assistant who won’t take no for an answer. The next in the Stubbs adventures will be out in November.
