“I know but I’d like a baby someday too.”

“Then we’ll have a bay, but just so you know I want more than one,” Creed told her. “I was thinking we should have maybe four or five.”

  Lola smiled. “Really?”

  “Yeah, really,” Creed assured her.

“Maybe we should work then on getting the first one started.” She groaned as she lifted her lips to his.

Creed surged to his feet and carried her up to their room. Closing the door behind them, he went over to the bed and whispered, “You got too many clothes on woman. He divested her of every last stitch... Then he joined her on the mattress.

Later that same day people began gathering in the main room. They were all on pins and needles waiting for word from Jasper.

About midafternoon, they heard back from Quint.

When Harry’s phone rang, they all waited to hear if it was word from Jasper or not.

“Hello.” Harry waited then heard Quint’s voice. He looked over at Annie and nodded his head as he pressed speaker on his phone.

“My man,” Quint greeted him. “I have news you might want to hear. Bandit was going to court today to establish his identity as Wayne Corderly. His attorney had everything all set up already. He’d even filled the papers. Needless to say, the judge heard the evidence Doubletap presented and denied him bail. They also dug into Snake’s case and everything Doubletap said was true. Both men were stopped from getting out on bail and have taken a plea. They will both go straight to prison for the rest of their natural life but they won’t face the death penalty.”

“Well, that’s something anyway then isn’t it?” Harry told the other man.

  “You sound disappointed,” Quint replied.

“No it isn’t that.” Harry wasn’t sure just how much he should tell Quint. He was FBI after all and he was looking into finding Becky. “There is just some stuff we’re going through trying to get the MC back up.”

“Ok, got a question for you on another matter...”

“Ok, what would that be?” Harry asked.

“Very early this morning something went down in Jasper. Someone reported gunshots and burned a warehouse down to the ground. Would you know anything about that?”

Harry looked over at his father and shook his head.

  Tate said nothing.

“Why would I know anything about gunshots and warehouse burning in a town like five hours away?” Harry asked. “That’s not my business.”

Quint paused then agreed. “Ok just checking. The local LEO’s are looking into the fire anyway. Several woman are coming forward saying they were held prisoner by a man named Doug Bonner and forced to work in the sex trade. We found the warehouse that burned had belonged to Bonner and several others. Bonner is missing and we’re trying to run down the names of his partners.”

“Was Becky one of those women that came forward?” Harry had to ask.

“She hasn’t come forward yet but we’re still looking for her.”

“Well, let us know if you find her. If she comes here we’ll let you know.”

“Will you tell Annie she has to lay low until we can run down Bonner’s partners? She’s still not safe and if they think she’s the one who turned Bonner over to whoever burned down his business, she still could be in trouble.”

Harry looked over at her. “I’ll let her know. Thanks man. Appreciate the phone call.”

Harry hung up the call and turned to face everyone. “Well, they did what they said they would do.” Running his hands down his face he told them, “I know most of you heard that but maybe not all of you. Quint reported that someone reported shots fired early this morning and then a warehouse burned down. Bonner is listed as missing but several of the women are coming forward and telling the cops about being there under protest and they all named Bonner as their captor.”

He looked at Annie. “He said to be alert because his business partners might still be looking for you. They didn’t find Becky so I guess we still have to wait to see if Gunner and his men have her.”

Tate looked over at Cobra. “Check in with your men and see if they got Becky or not. We need to know.”

Cobra pulled out his phone and made the call. When he was done, he looked over at Annie and Harry. “They got her and they got Bonner. Just in time, it seems. Bonner was taking her down river to sell her at a silent auction.”

  Annie crumbled into Harry.

Harry wrapped his arms around her. “Hush darlin’, we got her back.”

Cobra shook his head. “Gunner wants to keep her there for a few days to recover. Bonner really messed her up. He got her hooked on drugs and she needs rehab.”

“Please tell him she’ll get all the help she needs with us.” Annie cried.

“My guys will be back with her in a few days,” Cobra assured her. “Please give them that much time. From what Gunner told me your sister has been through the mill. But she’s safe now and she knows you’re waiting for her.”

Annie nodded and held on to Harry.

“We can use that time to look into rehab programs,” Harry told her. “We’ll get her some help but we need to keep you safe too. Bonner’s partners might still be looking for you.”

“Until we can find them and shut them down, you need to be careful,” Tate agreed. “Especially now that you’re carrying my grandchild.” He glared at three of his four boys and his daughter. “That reminds me, there needs to a reckoning here. Silas is absolutely correct in this.”

“I’m ALWAYS correct!” Silas spoke up from the back, behind everyone else.

  They all laughed at this.

Tate shook his head and chuckled. “You guys have put the cart before the horse long enough. Time has come to make your relationships legal now.”

His boys grinned and said in unison, “Yes Dad.”

Even Bear grinned and said, “Yes sir.”

Tate turned to Cobra. “Tell your friend Gunner to come get his money and its money well spent.”

  Cobra nodded.

Looking over at Lola, he found her looking back as she stood in Creed’s embrace. She hadn’t said a word all morning and he wondered why. Then he looked up at Creed and found the man looking back.

The room was full of energy and talking as the women brought out food and drinks. They all felt pretty good as all of it pulled together and the men who deserved it got what they had coming to them.

Nita was with them again too. They were now a whole family and a whole MC.

A short time later, Cobra sought out his daughter. “Hey girl, what’s going on with you?”

“I don’t know what you mean Cobra.”

“You know damn well, I think,” Cobra called her out.

Lola turned to glare at her father. “What do you want me to say? You just show up one day after twenty four years claiming I’m your child. I had no clue who you were or what you wanted after all this time. I think you stayed to try and talk me into going back to Honda with you. But that’s not what I want. I want to stay here with Creed.”

Cobra nodded. “At first, I did want you to come home with me, at first. Then I realized Creed was good for you. This MC would protect you and as much as I may want to, I can’t push you to come back with me. In fact, I think you have a place here. These are good men. But you’re still my kid and I want to know you. I wasn’t there for you all your life but I’ll be damned if I’m going to miss any more of your life.”

“Creed and I have talked about starting a family.” Lola stared at him. “My life is here now with him. I hope you can understand that.”

“I hope you don’t mind if I stick around then. I can’t wait to see my grandkids.” Cobra smiled.

“For that, you’ll have to talk to my dad about.” Creed came up behind them and wrapping his arms around his woman’s waist, he pulled her to him.

“Oh, I plan to. Might even retire around this area.”

Lola looked shocked. “But you aren’t old enough to retire.”r />
Cobra shrugged. “Its not like I worked a nine to five type of job in the first place girly. I got some money set aside to live on so I’m not going to bum living off you or the MC.”

“But you’re the President of the Soldiers. What about that?” Lola wanted to know.

“Been president with them a long time. Me and Richard built that club from the ground up. Maybe its time to let some younger blood in.” Cobra ran his hands over his head. “Hell girl, I’ve lived this life a good long time and I’m tired. Maybe too tired. Maybe I want to see what this club can offer me. I have a reason to be here, especially if you’re going start a family soon.”

“I guess I can live with that.” Lola nodded.

  “Me too,” Creed agreed.

“Then all I need to do is get my ducks in a row with my club and talk to your dad.” He chuckled. “I don’t know how good I’ll be at letting go but I got something more than they can offer me here. I want this change and by god, I’ll have it.”

Over in the corner of the room Tate sat with Nita. Looking around, he smiled. His club was back under his control, his wife was beside him again, and they had a good start to righting the wrong of the past few years. They still had a ways to go and if he knew Bandit, a few more upsets to put right. His family was once again under one roof and his family was expanding. A new generation was being born and with that... the promise of a bigger family.

He looked over at Nita and found her looking back at him with a gentle smile.

“What are you thinking about now?” he asked her.

She shook her head. “For so long, I was lost. I hoped there was someone out there looking for me. I did feel you when I was lucid. When I—wasn’t on whatever drug that man was giving me. I felt you always and I knew I had carried children here.” She rubbed her stomach. “It was so hard not know where they were, who they were. Now, I’m going to have grandchildren that I can hold in my arms...” She looked into his eyes as tears filled hers. “I cannot remember holding them,” she quietly admitted as she motioned to their adult kids in the room. “So, it will be like maybe reliving it and I hope it will help me to remember them as babies. The hole inside me will be filled finally. I was missing this. You, our family, our love. I hope I will remember everything one day but even if I don’t, I’ve got you back.”

“And I got you back,” Tate told her. “You...are all that matters.” He leaned in and kissed his woman, his wife.
