“Umm...well,…. I would like to see their bodies,” Kate said, collected documents on the table put into each box as if trying to conceal that she had photographed these documents.

Jason nodded and led her out of the coffee room, went straight to use the elevator to go to the morgue room underground.

“Is everything going well?” Jason asked while the elevator was moving down.

  “Yes,” Kate replied briefly.

“You know,... I'm not familiar with your agency. Can you tell me more about it?” Jason tried to make a conversation. He saw that she had a bit of worry.

Kate took a very deep breath before started “Our agency is a secret from the Ministry of Defense, so rarely have anyone heard of us, as you know, your case is so abnormal and can’t be publicized, it may cause of discomposure,”

Kate said to him, while looked at the time on the golden watch for a woman before looked at a number showed the floor that the elevator moved through. And then looked back at the elevator button to see where they were going to.

“You know,… you should tell me about the information you’ve got. We could solve the case together,” Jason said.

“I’m sorry, Detective Smith. I can't tell you anything. This case is too complicated for you to get involved,” Kate replied politely before walked out of the elevator. She looked relieved that the elevator has reached the underground.

‘Too complicated to get involve?’ What did that mean? This case belonged to him and his team but couldn't get involved?

“I thought we’ll solve this case together,” Jason said unpleasantly while led her to the morgue. Although the path in the underground was quite dense and narrow, but at least there was enough light to blew off the imagination about something creepy.

“As you know, the mystery three women bodies you found. There were strange things, like the duration. Jessie Lee's body was found on the rooftop of a high building in daylight, although the housekeeper just cleaned it five minutes before. Then the man who up there for smoke found her body, the security camera didn’t see her went up to the rooftop,”

“Piper Mason's body was found in a toilet in the pub. The witnesses said in the same way that the toilet has just been used for five minutes before. And five minutes later, the body appeared,”

“And recently, Bella West's body was found in the sky train compartment, despite at the first compartment was empty before leaving Beckman station. All this can’t explain with natural normal reason. So you and your people don’t have a right to know any information from us,” Kate explained while followed Jason.

Exasperating. Jason was the owner of the case but he was pulled off. Claiming that because it was too strange and unnatural case.

“The Ministry of Defense wants to take all the credit, right?” Jason said sharply, while opened the morgue door and went inside. He turned on the light inside the room before went straight to the morgue drawer.

“It's not like that. I understand you may be uncomfortable with this situation, but I assure you that it’s not about who takes the credit,” Kate said calmly. The completely black suit made her looked even more mysterious.

Jason blew the air out-off his nose. He pulled a large drawer to open until he could see the body of a young woman inside. First was Bella West, the latest corpse that just found on the sky train compartment. Then he opened two drawers to allow Kate to see the other two women’s bodies.

She looked at the corpse carefully “Did you bring their ears back to the owner?” Kate asked while bent down to look at Jessie Lee's corpse.

Before, the ear that was sewn on her was Bella West's ear.

“Yes, we already took pictures of them on a crime scene with each condition. If this is your body, you probably don't want to have someone else's ear sew on,” Jason said sarcastically, but it seemed Kate wasn't really listened to him. She began to carefully photograph each body, including the neck, chest, body, wrists and ankles. And she used a strange color fresh light that made Jason’s eyes blur.

“Did you find their hearts?” Kate asked.

“No,” Jason replied briefly. If she hasn’t given any information to him, he probably no need to give her much.

Kate looked at the young policeman’s face that hadn’t been shaved for three or four days. His brown hair was messy, even though hair gel was on.

“You seem to be displeased,” She could feel the wave of unfriendly and frustration from him easily because both his face and his posture were clear.

“Then I would like to go back to the coffee room and finish the paperwork,”

Jason closed the three drawers and walked her to the elevator. “Does your agency really exist?” He suddenly asked, while the lift was up to the second floor, they still had to go on another five floors.

Kate didn’t answer, she looked very calm with the question.

“Why don't you answer Miss. Isaac?” Jason repeated with a serious voice and stared at her beautiful face.

Kate sighed gently and shook her head tiredly “I have already answered you that my agency is a secret. Believe me, we work for peace and security of these worlds,”

‘These worlds’? Sounded like there were many worlds.

“The secret agency? Work for world peace? Do you know that reminded me to think about the movie with aliens disguised as human beings and there were special agents in a black suit to look after them?”

Kate giggled and bent her face down. “That sounds ridiculous. And I don't care about that movie,”

When the elevator door opened, Kate walked directly to the coffee room, that full of documents immediately. Jason followed her but stopped at his office to find out the answer for Kate's background from Ted and Todd.

“Chief, I called to the Ministry of Defense. There is no Agency of Civil for Peacefulness and Security of the World. And they never know Katherine Isaac,” Ted said when he saw Jason walked into the room with a serious face.

“And I’ve searched for her history. Umm... Katherine Isaac has died for 10 years. Overdose, drug problem. At that time she was just 16,” Todd reported.

Katherine Isaac died at the age of 16. So, who was the woman in the coffee room? And what did she want? “Do you have a picture of her?” Asked Jason.

Todd nodded and showed the picture of Katherine Isaac 16-year-old girl. Jason looked at her face. In the next 10 years and changed from short hair to long hair, didn’t make hair color and put on some make up a bit. Jason was sure that this was Katherine Isaac who was at the police station with them right now.

“It seems like we have to catch her,” Jason said in a serious voice. “You, Ted, report to the front desk to close all entrances and exit and prepare for blocking her,”

“Do we have to do something big like that? She just a woman? And came alone,” Todd said.

Jason looked at him confidently. “She dare to come here alone, Todd. Claim that she’s from a large government agency like the Ministry of Defense, I don't think she’ll be just a normal little girl. Tell them that she may be a spy or maybe she got a criminal record that makes her have to disguise as someone else,”

“I've watched movies about spies. A woman spy was very dangerous,” Ted said excitedly and Jason agreed.

“You two just go now. I’ll go to hold her up. We have to make her believe that her secret isn’t revealed,” Jason said.

They started to do their own duties. Jason was going to sneak inside the coffee room again. He tried to twist the doorknob as gently as possible but he found that it was locked. What should he do? Should he knock on the door or busted it. But that may cause her to be aware and they have to chase after her. He heard the voice from the inside. She probably talked to the phone again.

“I think I should go back to ........... the police here haven’t........ for following him,” Kate’s voice loud from inside. Jason put his ear completely against the wooden door, trying to listen carefully.

“Emma, can you open.......... and pick me up at t
he coffee room........ It's on the……floor in the police station, I think Jason Smith began to know about ......yes.... I know he's smart,”

Oh ....yes, Jason’s already known about her and had a plan for arrestment. But what she’s planned to escape? What was she talking about? What thing would pick her up? She also told a detail like the floor and the place thoroughly.

Moment later, Jason noticed that her voice was silent. In his mind, he just wondered what she would do next. He heard the sound of moving chairs and table from the inside and the gap under the coffee room door was bright with white light.

What was that light? And where did it come from? the window? ....helicopter? ..... but couldn't hear anything.

Ready or not, he must bust the door right now, if he wanted to catch her.

  Crash!!!

The sound of the door broken and the white light became brighter. Jason had to narrow his eyes to look inside the room. He saw Kate was standing in the middle of the room wearing sunglasses. She was really shocked because Jason suddenly broke the door and he didn't let her escape no matter how or when or what. He rushed to grab her.

“Jason don’t!!!” Kate's voice cried out in shock. Before both of them disappeared with the white light, leaving only an empty coffee room and thin particle dust, that spread in a circle of one meter and small cracks at the four corners of the window.

  Chapter 4

  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH………!!!!!!

The sound of Jason wailing in the midst of bright white light and tried to take balance and struggled to swim in the air. Kate and Jason were diving through the white tunnel with speed. They went through clouds, fog, space, sky, penetrated the buildings, through the sea, mountains, and through the crowd....

“Calm down and stand still, please, detective Smith,” Kate cried out unbearably because Jason both screamed and wriggled almost slit from her hands. And he lost one side of his shoe.

They dove through the tunnel for more than a minute. Then Kate felt the hard ground under her feet ... and the strange journey has ended with the white light that gradually faded away. They were standing in a room surrounded by a white steel wall.

In the corner of the room, there were two people wearing white coats, controlling a machine that looked like a cockpit.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” Jason screamed. “My eyes!!! My eyes!!!” he closed his eyes with his hands in pain and squirmed on the floor.

“What the heck is this? Kate Why he’s here?” The middle-aged woman’s voice Jason has heard before asked in panic.

“It’s an accident, Emma I don't think he....” Kate replied in worry, but Jason's wailing voice interrupted her sentence.

“Oh dear, we’re in trouble,” Emma said, shook her head tiredly with Jason’s screaming voice.

“It’ll be better, young man. Close your eyes until you feel better,” she told Jason but his outcry hasn't reduced.

Kate took off her sunglasses and kept it inside her suit jacket and she noticed that Jason's voice has stopped. She looked at him and saw his face turned to be green. But before she could lift her feet out-off the way, Jason vomited.

“Eww.... He vomited on my shoes....my favorite limited edition shoes,” Kate cried, disgusting.

The other two people in the room made a face like wanted to vomit as well. They hurriedly turned their faces away from the man and woman in the middle of the square room with a high ceiling.

“Lesson for today, my dear. Don’t wear favorite shoes to work,” Emma, a chubby woman shook her head. “Don't forget to take off your shoes before walking to me. I don’t allow this room to be full of vomit from Jason Smith B13,”

Kate sighed and rolled her eyes, then took off her velvet high heels and careful not to let her bare feet touch his vomit. “Are you ok, detective?” She asked the young man who on his fours and bowed like he was about to vomit again. She had to move her feet away from his range.

“This guy is nuts, you think so?” the young man stood with Emma said. His voice sounded familiar to Jason.

“Well,....you've just traveled for the first time. It’ll be better after you let it all out,” Kate told Jason, who vomited again.

“Where am I?” Jason blurted out and closed his eyes tightly with pain mixed with severe nausea.

“The parallel universe B07 (B zero seven),” Kate answered and crossed her fingers for Jason not to crawl on his own vomit. But it’s too hard when his eyes were closed and his vomit filled all the floor.

“He makes me sick,” The young man in a white coat rushed out of the room. But Emma has only sighed and looked at the young man who wore a white shirt, slacks, and a dirty single leather shoe, crawling on four legs bellowed humiliated.

“Feeling better?” Asked Kate while Jason was sitting on the bed in the nursing room, wore a white bathrobe that seemed too small for him, but still better than let him naked.

Jason’s sullen face nodded. His body was dirty and full of vomit. He had been brought to take a shower. But the good news was he could open his eyes and could see normally, even though it was still red.

“Where am I?” He asked, lifeless, shameful and embarrassed.

Kate looked at him and giggled with herself. He looked cute when he wasn’t screaming and crawling on four legs. “You are in a parallel universe B07, detective Smith,”

“What is it?” He asked, frowning.

“Well, have you ever heard about the theory that the world or the universe we live is not only us but also other parallel universe that will have another us live,” Kate asked.

Jason frowned thoughtfully. “…yes, It seems like when watching cartoons,” he replied.

“Yes, in cartoons or movies, there are often contained things like that,” Kate said, smiled with his answers.

“But the reality is, there isn’t only one parallel universe. There are 16 parallel universes that we have discovered, means that there are 16 of us living in our own world. Each person has some differences, such as characters, personalities, and life. Some may be conservative. But in another universe is a designer who rips all fashion rules. Or some universe maybe just an ordinary office worker. Can you follow?”

Jason considered, all his brain was working at full power.

“....yes, I think....” he replied uncertainly.

“Think about the case you dealing with, Bella West still lives in your universe, but where her corpse came from? The answer is from one of 16 parallel universes,” Kate explained further because she saw Jason's eyes stilled empty. And after listened to the sample in the story he has involved, Kate could see the sparkling of understanding shown through that pair of light brown eyes.

“You mean in one of the parallel universes, Bella West missing?” Jason asked.

Kate smiled at him. “You are clever. Yes, right now in your universe has too much Bella West, Piper Mason and Jessie Lee. This kind of event happened in many parallel universes, too. We are trying to link up all the occurrences but we still don't know who the killer is. Which parallel universe he came from. And why did the killer choose to kill that group of women and left them in other parallel universes. We have to stop him before he can kill them all in every universe,”

Jason pondered the story of three women’s bodies in his world and three women who still alive. “Those who still alive will get kill and take the bodies to another parallel universe?”

Kate nodded, “Yes, if we can't stop him. They will definitely become his victims,”

Jason nodded in agreement but suddenly he turned to look at Kate and frowned. “And who are you?” He blurted out.

Kate smiled at him. “I’ve already answered this question several times, detective Smith,”

“No, that’s just a crazy agency that never exists. Ted’s called the Ministry of Defense, already,” Jason said in a serious face.

Kate smiled at his naive. “Yes, your universe B13 doesn’t have this agency but here is B07, we have the Agency of Civil for
Peacefulness and Security of the....ok…maybe the name I told you is not quite right. In fact, our agency is called the Agency of Civil for Peacefulness and Security between Parallel universes (ACPSP). And under the Ministry of Defense. We take care of abnormal issues or complaints until corruption between parallel universes,”

  “Oh...right...” Jason muttered to himself.

“Between the parallel universes that can use wormhole, then we make contact with each other. We trade, exchange materials and resources or products. Each parallel universe has many wormhole routes, both public and private, for the convenience of cargo handling. But sometimes causing a payment under the table about the quota of products and resources,” Kate explained.

“Well,….could you just…narrow…umm…cover your… umm... thing … please,” Kate said uncomfortably. Her index finger moved in the way down but not pointed at something specific, and tried to turn her face to another way.

Jason looked follow her finger to the lower of himself. He forgot that he just only wore an L-size bathrobe and accidentally opened his legs widely. He hurriedly narrowed his legs and pulled a short robe to cover his ‘thing’ firmly.

“I have to find you a new clothes. Your old clothes need to be washed many many times and I will tell the laundry service to send your clean clothes to the room,” Kate said before walking out of the nursing room.

Jason's clothes were filled with vomit, shutting his eyes and on all fours without direction cause him to smear with his vomit. That's so embarrassing....

After Jason got new clothes, he immediately wore it. Unbelievable that the size of the shirt, slacks and leather shoes or even underwear were perfectly fit him.

“Well done, how could you know my size? Are you a dressmaker?” Jason said while completed the last button at the end of the white shirt. He looked confident again.

Even though Kate didn't like what Jason’s said but she could smile but could feel the negative energy hidden. “I'll take you back home tomorrow. Traveling by wormhole makes you feel more exhausted. Particularly for the first time, it’s worse more, the thing you need is to take a rest,”
