Jaxx bit the side of his lip, thinking. “I don’t know. For the rest of my life?”
“Well,” said Rivkah, winking, “then we have a lot of catching up to do.” She eyed Zara. “Take over my class for the day? Or the week? I don’t care. Jaxx and I are going on a much-needed vacation.”
“Vacation?” replied Jaxx. “Where to?”
“A week of doing nothing for a change. And, you know, lots of kissing. And, I mean…lots. Like I said, we have catching up to do.”
Rivkah led Jaxx forward, hand in hand, and exited the building. Outside, the fresh air breezed across their bodies, the terraforming lamps warmed their skin, and the Jupiter light filled the horizon.
Jaxx wrapped his arm around Rivkah, staring into Jupiter’s marvelous colors. “I can get used to this.”
Rivkah nodded. “Me too. And we will.”
