Club Comrade (Secrets Within A Club Book 1)

Carmen is finally ready to leave an hour later. She had to blow dry her plum-colored hair before she said she'd put a helmet on her head. I had to search Scarlett's room for one, which took forever with all the girlie shit she owns. When we go to leave, Billy is at my door. He hands me an envelope that is already filled out and stamped.
“It's your marriage license that needs to be filed. I could mail it for you if you want.”
“I can do it. We are heading out anyway.” I open my leather jacket and shove it down in the inside pocket.
“Have you decided what you are doing with Sherry?”
“Yep, I want her gone by the time I get back. She isn't to return, ever. I changed the passcode to the gate and gave it to Reed. Make sure everyone knows she isn't allowed back here.”
“Where are you going?”
“Shopping for Carmen.”
I shut my front door and lock it, so he gets the hint we are leaving. I tell Carmen to get the helmet on. She rolls her eyes at me but does it anyways. Billy takes my hint and steps off my porch. He turns back around and says, “Congrats on your marriage. I didn't get a chance yesterday to welcome you into the club family.” Carmen ignores Billy completely and stands next to my bike waiting for me.
Two and a half hours later I pull into a small motel out in the middle of nowhere. Putting the kickstand down, I turn the engine off. I wait for Carmen to get off. Eventually, Carmen leans over my shoulder and says, “This isn't a shopping mall.”
“I know, but I think we should start our honeymoon, don't you? I'm kidding, so don't roll your eyes at me.”
“I didn't roll my eyes.”
“I'm pretty sure you did.”
“You can’t even see me.”
“I don't need to, you roll your eyes a lot when I say something you don't like.”
“Have I told you yet today…”
I cut her off and say, “I'm an asshole, I know. You have made that perfectly clear. I'm checking up on Scarlett.”
“Oh.”
Carmen gets off the back of my bike and begins to remove her helmet. I kick my foot over my bike and remove mine also. “Don't worry, I am still taking you shopping.”
I place my helmet on the handlebars and then I set hers on the seat. I go to walk towards the door and Scarlett comes running out and jumps into my arms. I give her a big hug before I set her back down. We go inside, and I'm impressed the room isn't a shit hole like I thought it would be.
“Bo, how is your money holding up?”
“I'm doing alright. My aunt owns this joint, so the room is free.”
“Scarlett, you have everything you need?”
“How long do I have to stay here?”
“I don't know yet. I can't let you come back until I know you are safe.”
“Then I need some more clothes and personal items.”
“Okay. Bo and I will take you both shopping.”
“Dude, I don't want to go shopping.”
“Suck it, Buddy. I can't take them both on my bike.”
“If I'm going shopping, you are buying dinner.”
Good fucking, God, women take all damn day to shop. I swear Carmen was taking her sweet ass time to piss me off. Scarlett was playing along with it, too. Is there some damn code that when women shop you cannot say you went shopping unless you go to every fucking store in the mall? It will be a long time before I go back, that's for damn sure.
It is late by the time we get back to the motel. Not only was shopping complete hell but so was dinner. Who takes two hours to cook a steak? It isn't like I wanted it cooked until it turned into a hockey puck. I mean, really, how long does it take to make a medium-rare steak? Four or five minutes on each side; tops. How did that add up to two damn hours? Who chose the fanciest place in town to eat? I look to my left, Carmen smiles, almost like she can tell I'm irritated.
“Looks like we should spend the night. What do you think wifey?”
“It doesn't matter where we sleep, I'm sure I'll be comfortable in any bed, Babe.” She winks at me.
I kinda laugh inside, wait till I don't sleep on the floor tonight, payback for the hell she put me through today.
Carmen and I get a room, it's prefect. One bed is exactly what I wanted. I strip from my shirt and toss it on the bed near Carmen. I undo the button on my jeans and slide the zipper down. I watch Carmen as she swallows the saliva in her mouth. My cock twitches from her reaction.
I leave the room and shut myself in the bathroom. I turn the shower on cool before getting in. I let the water hit my face and let my hands comb over my hair to get it wet. I am tempted to stroke my hard cock, but I am not going to masturbate with Carmen just on the other side of the door. I don't want to give her the idea that I want her. She would use it against me and torture me.
I turn the shower off, then I put the towel around my waist. I wasn't planning on staying the night, and I don't have anything to sleep in. Looks like Carmen gets to sleep next to me naked. I’m probably going to die from too much blood pooling to my lower half all night.
Opening the door, I step out of the bathroom and go sit at the end of the bed. I can feel water dripping down my back. Carmen has the TV on and is watching an old black and white show. I feel the bed shake, and then her fingers run across my back.
“Who did this?”
“I don't remember her name.”
“It looks like a girl I used to know in Nevada.”
“It could be her, it's where I got the tattoo.”
“Was her name Candi?”
“Now that you say that, yes.” I knew all along the girl’s name, I just wasn’t going to share it with her.
Carmen’s fingers stop touching my tattoo and all of a sudden, her arms are around my shoulders, her lips are at the base of my neck. Her teeth are scraping the skin as she moves her mouth further up my neck. I throw my head back with my eyes closed, wanting her to stop. I can't keep my word to myself if she doesn't.
Her hot breath hits my ear. “Make me yours, Blake. I want you to make love to me as your wife.”
“I can't do that, Carmen. If I do, I might not let you go.”
“He'll beat me you know? He won't care that I didn't come with you of my own free will. He has it in his head that I chose you and not him.”
“Has he hit you before.”
She comes to stand in front of me. She gets down on her knees and moves her hair off her forehead, there's a small scar near her temple. “Chad threw a beer bottle at me for coming home late from my shop.” She shows me another scar on her arm, “He cut me with a knife because he was pissed off at someone else. You have to keep me now.”
I get to my feet, my towel falls. Carmen reaches for my hard cock. I take her chin and pull her head up, so she can see me. “Not tonight, Sweetheart.” I go find my jeans in the bathroom and put them on. I'm going to fucking kill Chad Harper.
Chapter 10 ~ Carmen
Blake has been sitting in the corner for over an hour. He hasn't said a word at all. I wish I never told him about Chad hitting me. I have never mentioned it to anyone before, and I regret doing so now. The night Chad threw a beer bottle at me, I was late getting home. I was doing a tattoo on some woman's upper arm and I told Chad I would be home by seven that night, but it took longer than I had anticipated. The girl wanted extra words added. I was only twenty minutes late, and Chad was pissed. I tried to ignore him and let it blow over, but as I was leaving the living room, he threw the bottle. It broke when it hit the wall next to where I was. Pieces came flying off the wall, and it caught me in the temple. I had to pick the sharp glass out of my skin. I probably needed stitches, but I cleaned it up and put glue on the cut. Probably not the smartest thing I have ever done; but it worked.
The night Chad cut my arm, he was acting all weird. I mean crazy weird. He was going around the house with a knife, waving it around in the air as if he was stabbing someone. I knew I needed to keep my distance. When I tried to leave the room, I felt the knife slicing my
arm. There are other times he has left me with a black eye or sore ribs. The last time he touched me, I had packed a bag. I couldn't take the abuse anymore. He caught me and tied me to a chair out in the yard. I watched as he brought my cat outside and killed him. He told me if I ever tried to leave him again, the next time it would be my mother. I'm scared to death of him, and I know he is crazy enough to make good on his word.
I leap from the bed and go over to Blake. I get down to his level. “Blake, please let me go. He has threatened me in the past that he would kill my mother if I ever left.” Blake doesn't move. He doesn't say a word. He just sits there staring at nothing. I take his face between my hands. “Blake, please. I can't let him go after my mother. What if he already has? What if my mother is dead? It will all be my fault.”
Blake finally makes eye contact with me. My hands slip off his face when he gets to his feet. My eyes follow him as he walks to the front door. He opens it and stands off to the side. I am dumbfounded. Is he actually letting me go? I leave everything he bought me in the bags on the bed. I won't need them if he's letting me go. I go to step out into freedom, but I turn back and kiss Blake. Having his mouth on mine once again feels incredible. I wish for this moment to be burned into my memories forever.
Blake's hands grip on my ass and he brings me in closer to his warmth. My hands slide under his shirt. I feel every bump of his six-pack as I travel my palms upward to his chest. Having him under my touch, and his taste is in my mouth, I want more. I cannot walk out of here without it.
Blake's hands are at my waist, his lips are gone once he pushes me away. “Go, Carmen, before I change my mind.”
“I can't, not until you make love to me.”
Blake runs his hands down his face. He walks away from the door and picks up his leather jacket. I slam the door shut and lean my weight against it. Lifting my t-shirt up and over my head, Blake watches with hunger in his eyes. I reach for my button then the zipper. I wiggle my jeans down past my hips. Then I put my back to Blake, bending at the waist to get my jeans over my feet. I look over my shoulder as I move my hair to one side. Unhooking the back of my bra, Blake hasn't moved.
I close my eyes when I face the door again and let my bra fall to the floor. I spin on my heels and fall back to the door as I fill my hands with my breasts. Spreading my legs, when I let one of my hands slip into the waistband of my panties.
Blake’s chest is heaving, the veins in his arms are bulging with him making a fist, opening his hand and remaking a fist. He is fighting against himself. I let out a moan when I rub my clit. I close my eyes when I enter two of my fingers inside and pretend they are Blake's.
The next thing I feel is cool metal and then I hear the click of handcuffs around my wrist. Blake takes my wrist and my hand comes out of my panties. He smells my fingers before putting the other half of the handcuffs on it.
“What are you doing?”
“I was going to let you go. Instead, you insist on testing my willpower. Where does your mother live?” When I don't answer him, his hand cups my wet pussy. His fingers run along my pussy lips. “Where, Carmen?”
“Nevada.”
“The address?”
I tell him the address and his touch is gone. He gets his leather jacket that he dropped on the floor and leaves me standing here in nothing but my undies and cuffs around my wrist. I look around the room for the key. When I have no luck, I sit on the bed. I should have left when he was willing to let me go. I feel dumb for wanting him. I feel even worse that I could be the reason for my mother's death. I should have never stuck my nose in Harper Chapter’s club business.
Tears fill my eyes. Why can't anything ever be easy for me? I just want what every other girl out there wants, to be loved, have happiness and grow old with the person you have loved for years. Stop crying, Carmen. You are stronger than this.
I wipe away the tears as the motel door opens. Blake removes his shirt as he keeps his eyes on me. When he reaches the bed, he takes hold of my ankles. My body easily slides on the bed. His hands go for the waistband of my panties, and he is quick with removing them. The cuffs rub my skin when he grabs onto the chain. My arms lift and go over my head and then Blake's lips close around my erect nipple.
He sucks on the sensitive bud and I squirm beneath him. I feel his weight shift when his phone chimes. He reads the text he received. He gets up from the bed. “We need to leave.” He gets the key from his pocket and unlocks the cuffs.
“I'm not going anywhere with you.”
“Yes, you are. You don't get a choice.”
“Screw you, Blake Comrade.”
“Carmen, get your ass dressed now. I am not asking, I'm telling you.”
Picking up his shirt, he makes a call. I get up and get clothes on. I heard the worry in his voice when I realize he's called Bo and Scarlett.
Chapter 11
The sun is rising so I know we are getting closer to our destination. We rode straight through the night and I haven't told anyone where we are going because I don't know who I can trust anymore. Someone is leaking club information and I haven't been able to figure out who it is yet. I never mentioned to anyone where Scarlett was, so I am wondering if Bo is playing me. I thought he was my best friend, but now, I'm not so sure. I have been questioning myself all night if I can trust him with my sister's life. If he is the one that has turned against the club, then why is Scarlett safe and still alive right now? Am I overthinking everything and the traitor is someone a bit more obvious?
Carmen has been leaning on my back almost all night. I have felt her shriving for most of the night. I know it is cold and I feel like a dick, but her and my sister’s safety means more to me right now. I don’t know how Harper Chapter found out where we were staying, I am however grateful that I was told they were heading our way. I had to get them as far away from there as I could. I have one place where I know I can keep them both safe. My old buddy, Porter might be the only person I can trust right now.
Porter and I go way back. We were just kids when his father and my father started Club Comrade. Porter and his family moved to Nevada when I was in the tenth grade. I was pissed when his father took a job and packed them up like overnight. It didn’t hurt our friendship none, but it still pissed me off. Now that we are older it makes for a great vacation spot and it is nice to have another club that will back your own when needed. It sure is coming in handy right now when I need his help the most.
I am sure the girls could use some food and a hot cup of coffee, so I am thrilled when the corner café is open. I parallel park my bike next to the curb and Bo parks his right next to me. Carmen gets off my bike and removes her helmet. She puts her hands on her hips and starts yelling at me for bringing her to her hometown. She can yell at me all she wants it isn’t going to change the fact she is stuck here for now.
“You were worried about your mother, so I thought the best way to check on her wellbeing is to bring you home.”
“I never want to come back here. You have no right to keep taking me places I don’t want to be. Have you ever thought to ask me anything?”
“Carmen, all I give a shit about right now is keeping you and Scarlett safe. If you are so damn worried about Chad following through with his threats towards your mother, then this is where we need to be.”
“I have people. I could have had someone I know check on her. I never thought I could hate someone as much as I am starting to hate you.”
“You keep telling yourself how much you hate me, you might actually believe it someday, Candi.”
“What did you call me?”
“You heard me I didn’t stutter.”
I walk across the street and hope that they all follow me. Carmen is starting to get on my nerves. Good fucking god, one minute she wants me to let her go, then she wants me to fuck her and then let her go again. She has my head spinning a mile a minute. I am tempted to put my sister on the back of my bike and say the hell with everyone and the club. Since my father has passed it ha
s been nothing but a fucking headache.
The door to the café flies open and Carmen stomps her feet over to where I have parked my ass in a booth. “When?”
“When what, wifey?”
“Stop fucking playing games with me. When did you know I am Candi?”
“When you asked about my tattoo.”
“I want to know did you know who I was when you sat down next to me at Whiskey Jacks?”
“No.”
“I guess time has changed us. I’m getting breakfast, are you?”
I pay the bill and then go outside to call Porter. Breakfast was nice and quiet, even my sister who talks nonstop didn’t say a word. Carmen is so pissed off at me that I swear there was steam coming from her plum-colored hair. She will be happy when I leave tomorrow to go home. Who am I kidding? She won’t be happy when she learns she is stuck here for a while. I can only hope she can get over it when she realizes I’m doing it to keep her safe.
Carmen comes out of the café, she doesn’t cross the street to where I am. Instead she walks down the sidewalk. I watch her to keep her in my sight. I look up when she stops in front of an abandoned store window. I get off my bike and jog across the street.
“I can’t believe this is where I did your tattoo. I never thought I would see you again.”
“I never thought I would see you, either. What is your real name?”
“Carmen. I went by Candi here because I didn’t want anyone to know whose daughter I am.”
