Nothing Bundt Love

“Well, well, well, someone is observant,” I muse.

“Very. I’m like a vault. I remember all kinds of things about you,” he tells me as we start to stroll down one of the many paths in the park. We come upon the large amphitheater and there is a lot of people working at setting up equipment around the stage.

“I wonder what’s going on here,” I state.

“Looks like they’re setting up for a concert,” he says, and I notice all the musical equipment.

“I guess so.” I look around to see if I can find any signs announcing who’s playing.

“Let’s keep walking,” he suggests, and we continue on our stroll, still eating our way through the pretzel.

We reach the backside of the amphitheater and see some semi-trucks parked, along with two motor coaches. The one trailer has pictures plastered all over it, advertising one of my favorite singers of all time, Reese Blackwood’s, newest tour. “Nathan!” I practically screech.

“What is wrong, babe?” he asks, all concerned.

“Do you think that they’re setting up for Reese?”

He looks at the trailers and around, before looking back at me. “Looks like it.” He pulls out his phone and taps at his screen a few times. “Yep, she’s playing here tomorrow night. Would you want to go? I can see if tickets are still available,” he offers.

“Would I like to go?” I ask, a little dumbfounded at the question. “I thought you knew everything about me?” I tease him.

“Oh, baby, I do.” He smirks, pulling me close and whispering in my ear. “I know exactly how you feel when you come on my cock, or better yet, on my tongue.” I shiver at his words, a spark of lust shooting down my spine.

“I’ve always wanted to see Reese, she’s my favorite singer ever, I just haven’t ever had the chance to see her yet.”

“I’ll see what I can do to fix that,” he says, kissing my temple. “I just sent an email off to the label to see if any VIP tickets are available still. They sometimes hold some back and release them the morning of events, otherwise, I can pick up some general admission passes tomorrow.”

“Are you serious?” I ask, bouncing on the balls of my feet.

“Of course, no reason to tease you. If just the potential of going makes you this excited, I can’t wait to see just how you are tomorrow when we’re at the concert,” he says.

“I love you; you know that, right?” I say, wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him back to me.

“I know,” he confirms, kissing me hard.

  Nathan

My surprise is almost blown when we come upon the concert venue being set up. What Harper doesn’t know is that this concert is the reason we came to New York City. I’ve had VIP tickets for this concert burning a hole in my pocket for weeks now. She acts like I wouldn’t know Reese is her favorite singer. She’s almost always got her music playing in the background, and has every lyric memorized, probably just as well as Reese does.

“Let’s keep exploring. Hopefully, the label will get back to me by morning and then we can plan our day around the concert,” I suggest.

“Sounds good to me.” She easily agrees, falling right into my plan for tomorrow.

We take in a good portion of Central Park on our walk, finally turning back toward the hotel once the sun starts to lower in the horizon. I left today open, not really knowing what we’d want to go see once I let Harper in on where it was we were going. I’m glad that I did so, as just having this time to be together and explore was a very pleasant day.

We finally make it back to the hotel and decide to order in room service for dinner.

“Come, join me,” I ask Harper, offering her my hand to take while she stands. We head out onto the private balcony that our suite has. We stand together at the glass wall, taking in the night view of the city.

“Thank you for this,” Harper says, leaning into me.

“I’ve got so much more in store for you this week, this is only the beginning,” I admit, kissing her shoulder.

  “You spoil me,” she muses.

She isn’t wrong, I’d give this woman anything in this world if it would make her happy. Thankfully, I know that she’s not materialistic and items don’t note her worth. She’s about the practical, the time spent together is what’s important.

“I’m going to let you in on a little of the plans for tomorrow,” I say, figuring that she should know some of what I have planned.

  “Go on,” she says.

“After breakfast, we have appointments in the spa, starting with a couple’s massage. After that, you’re scheduled for a facial, manicure, pedicure, haircut and color, the whole shebang. Plan to be there most of the day, getting pampered and ready for our date tomorrow night.”

“What about the concert?” She pouts slightly and I can’t help but chuckle.

“The concert is the reason we came to New York City, babe. We already have tickets.”

“What!” she yells, turning in my arms to face me. “We’re going?” she asks, bouncing like she did earlier.

“Yeah, we’re going,” I confirm. She flings her arms around my neck and jumps into my arms.

“You’re the best,” she says between planting kisses all over my face.

“Only the best for you, my love,” I tell her before I kiss her long and hard. My cock springs to life in my shorts, wanting nothing more than to bury himself in her wet heat. I do just that, taking her to bed and stripping her naked and ravishing her well into the night.

I whistle at the vision standing in front of me. Harper is gorgeous even when she’s got a messy bun on the top of her head and flour-covered clothes on her body, but Harper straight out of the spa, where she’s been pampered all day, is a fucking knock out. She let them cut a few inches of her hair off and add in some highlights. The makeup they applied looks so good and brings out her natural beauty. Don’t get me started on the outfit they picked for her. The neckline of the top has me drooling over the swells of her breasts that poke out, yet wanting to cover them so no other men can ogle them. Good thing I know she’s going home with me at the end of the night.

Her top stops an inch or so above the jeans she has on, that hug her curves like a glove. The lyrics of Sam Hunt’s Body Like a Backroad spring to mind. I definitely know her body like a backroad. That sliver of exposed skin just above the waistband of her jeans is going to drive me crazy all night, I just know.

“Cat got your tongue?” Harper asks, spinning in front of me.

“Yes,” I finally state. “You are a fucking knockout,” I say, pulling her in for a quick kiss.

“I might have to just lock you up in the hotel room tonight. All eyes are going to be on you once we step out of here, and I’m a jealous man,” I admit.

“There’s my caveman,” she muses, sliding her hands up my chest, adjusting the collar of my shirt. “Where are you taking me first?”

“Dinner, we’ve got reservations in about thirty minutes,” I tell her, looking down at my watch to confirm what time it is.

“Shall we go, then? I assume it will take a little bit to get wherever we’re going, with traffic or walking time.”

“Yeah, we probably should,” I agree. “Do you need anything before we go?”

“I’m good. I’ve got my cell, ID, and a credit card, if needed, in my wristlet,” she says, holding it up for me to see.

“All right, let’s go,” I suggest and we head out. The steakhouse I booked us at is only a few blocks away, but with NYC traffic, that can be a little misleading, at times. The weather is nice, so we decide to just walk over, seeing as we’ve got the time.

“What time does the concert start?” Harper asks once we’re seated at the restaurant.

“Opening act hits the stage at eight, Reese won’t start until around nine thirty, so we’ve got time, babe,” I tell her.

“I’m just so excited. It’s been so long since I’ve gone to a concert, and I hear that Reese puts on the best ones.”
/>   “I’m sure you’ll have a blast,” I tell her. We’ve finished our meal and head out toward the venue. The one little thing that I’ve still not told her, is that not only are we going to the concert, but we’ve got a private meet and greet to get to before the show starts. Not only does she get to see her favorite singer sing her heart out, but she also gets to meet and talk to her one-on-one for a half hour.

“Come this way, I want to show you something,” I say once we’re out of the restaurant and headed toward the park. We go to the backside, where we first saw the semi-trucks and busses parked yesterday. I flash a pass I had hidden in my pocket to the security guard operating the gate and he opens it, letting us pass.

“Head that way, until you reach the metal detectors, they’ll direct you on from there,” he states, and we do just that.

“What is going on?” Harper asks, and I can tell she’s a little bit nervous.

“Just another surprise I have planned. We have special seats and they come with a private entrance,” I tell her, fibbing just slightly.

“Why don’t I completely believe you?” she says, looking at me like she’ll figure out what’s about to happen by just looking at me. I’m a vault, and not giving away anything that I haven’t already told her about.

I show our tickets and backstage passes to the next security guard. They allow us to pass through the metal detectors, and direct us where we need to go. We enter the back of the building and are shown to a smaller room that has a couch, a couple stools, and a small table in the corner with some refreshments laid out on it.

Before I can say anything, the door opens and in walks Reese and a man. He doesn’t look like a bodyguard, so maybe one of her bandmates?

“Oh my god,” Harper says, just above a whisper. “You’re Reese,” she says, covering her mouth in complete shock.

“That I am,” Reese states, “and you must be Harper. It is so nice to meet you. I take it you didn’t know you’d be meeting me today?” she asks, a sweet smile on her face.

“Don’t worry, just about everyone has the same reaction to my wife,” the guy pipes up, pulling Harper’s attention to him for a second. The few seconds must snap her out of her shock, as she turns back to Reese with a huge smile on her face.

“I should have known when he told me he already had tickets to your show that he’d pull something like this. I’m Harper, it is so nice to meet you. I’m a huge fan of yours.”

“Thank you so much! I love getting to meet fans. Are y’all from here, or just visiting?” she asks.

“We’re from Sweet Valley, Tennessee. Just here as part of my birthday week celebration. He won’t tell me everything he’s got planned,” Harper tells her. “This is actually our first full day here, we arrived yesterday, and while walking around the park saw your busses and trailers, which made it so he had to tell me early that we were at least coming to the concert.”

“Sorry to ruin it for you.” She grimaces.

“I was going to tell her that part last night anyways.” I wave her off.

They chat about all kinds of things over the next half hour, and I love just how at ease Reese made Harper feel. I’ve heard good things about her, and this sealed the deal. While Reese and Harper talked, I struck up a conversation with Reese’s husband, Austin, who happens to be an NHL player. I asked him some questions about his career, without exposing the fact that I’m hopefully in the process of bringing a new team to the league soon. The news of our potential new team hasn’t hit the media yet, so I keep that information to myself.

“It was so nice to meet you both, but I’ve got to get backstage for our last-minute rituals. I hope you enjoy the show!” Reese says before they leave the room.

Once they’re gone, Harper turns to me, the look on her face tells me I’m getting so lucky tonight. “I can’t believe you!” she says, launching herself at me.

“Only the best for you,” I remind her before we are escorted out to our seats.

New York City was great and all, but the blue waters of the Caribbean, that I’m currently staring out over, are where this vacation is really at. After the concert, we flew out the next morning, down to a private island resort off of Turks and Caicos. We’ve been here for a day and a half already, spending our time soaking in the sun between dips in the crystal blue water.

“Tomorrow’s your big day, what do you want to do?” I ask from my beach chair that is right next to Harper’s.

"You mean, you don’t have everything planned out down to the last minute?” she asks, looking at me over the top of her sunglasses.

“Nope, I got you here and that’s all I needed.” I smirk.

“I’m not super picky. Maybe some breakfast in bed, a massage, and then some time on the beach, followed by a nice dinner.”

“That I can do,” I tell her. I might have told a white lie when I said I don’t have anything planned, but that will come at the end of the day tomorrow.

“Good morning, beautiful.” I kiss Harper awake; I have her breakfast ready on a tray, but before we get to that, I need my own breakfast to start the day.

“Morning,” she says on a yawn, stretching her beautiful and naked body, arching it off the bed. I take advantage of the movement and capture one of her pert nipples with my mouth. “Nathan,” she moans my name. I slide a hand down her belly and over her mound. I find her slit already wet for me, easily allowing for my fingers to slide inside her wet heat.

“Yes!” she cries as I bring her to the brink, backing off before she can crest over. I scoot down, wanting her to come on my tongue. I flick her clit, pulling more moans from her as I slide two fingers back inside her channel.

“Come, baby,” I say against her clit before sucking it back into my mouth. I don’t relent this time, taking her over the edge. Her clit pulsing against my tongue as her legs clasp tightly around my head until she goes limp. Not a bad way to wake up on your birthday, if I do say so myself.

I leave her to bask in the glow of her orgasm, stepping into the bathroom to clean up quick before I carry the breakfast tray into the bedroom. “Sit up, babe, I’ve got breakfast here for you.”

She stretches again, sliding up the bed and smiling at me, still in an orgasm-drunk state. I’ll gladly keep her like that all day, if she’ll let me.

“Wow, did you order everything on the menu?” She chuckles as she takes in everything.

“I wasn’t positive what you’d want, so basically.” She selects the strawberry crepes and some bacon. I take the rest away, giving her space to eat. I take the plate filled with a stack of pancakes and sausage links. “Happy birthday, babe. Everything you asked for yesterday is happening today. We can go at any time for massages. I’ve got them on standby.”

“Of course, you do.” She smirks. “Maybe after breakfast and a quick rinse off shower, we can go.”

“How about after breakfast, I make love to you, then we shower and then we can go?” I offer.

“I can probably be convinced of that option.” She smiles at me, and I lean in for a quick kiss.

“Love you,” I whisper against her lips before I pull back.

With breakfast cleaned up, I make good on my promise before I lead Harper to the shower, where I take her again. I can’t get enough of her, and thankfully, that feeling is mutual.

  Epilogue

  Harper

Nathan has been acting a little strange tonight. I don’t know if it is the heat of the day or the number of times we’ve had sex, but I don’t know what it is, and it is driving me crazy. He’s gone all out for my birthday today, and I love him for it, I just wish I could put my finger on what exactly was going on in his head.

“Walk with me?” he asks once our dinner is cleared away.

“Of course,” I say, taking his hand. He links our fingers and leads me down the beach. The water lapping just a few feet from where we walk. We’re already on a secluded beach, so it isn’t like we’re trying to get away from many people. We come to a stop at a lit
tle bungalow. I notice the ice bucket standing in the center, with a bottle of champagne sticking out the top.

He stops at the bucket, pulling the bottle from the ice, and pops the cork. It fizzes over the top of the bottle, spilling some on the sand at our feet.

“Want some help?” I ask, grabbing the two glasses and holding them out for him to pour the liquid into.

He takes one once both are filled, and he’s returned the bottle to the ice. “Turn and watch,” he says. I do as instructed and turn just as the first burst of color fills the sky.

We watch for the next ten minutes as a spectacular firework show goes off. I’ll have to say, this is absolutely the most elaborate birthday I’ve ever had.

“That was amazing,” I say, turning to face him. The gasp that leaves my lips could probably be heard back at the main building. When I turn, I don’t find Nathan standing behind me, I find him kneeling with a ring box open and the biggest smile on his face that I’ve ever seen. “Yes!” I scream before he can even say anything. “The answer is yes,” I cry, covering my mouth as the tears start to stream down my face.

“Harper.” He calmly says my name, grabbing at my hand with his free one. I do my best to give him my full attention, even if I do have tears streaming down my cheeks. “Baby, don’t cry.”

“They’re good tears, I promise,” I tell him.

“Harper, I walked away ten years ago, not having the nerve to ask you our or thinking that I’d never be good enough for you. Thinking I’d never be able to give you the life you deserved. I let ten years slip by without you in my life, and those are ten years I can never get back. That day I walked back into your life is one of the best days in my life. I know this has been a whirlwind relationship, but I’m not willing to let another ten years pass me by without you in them. Harper Taylor, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”
