The Baby: A Steamy Rock Star Romance (Cruise Control Book 3)

“Fuck, Lita, I’m going to come,” Sebastian warned her after some time.
She smiled around his cock as she continued what she was doing, forcing her mouth all the way to his base until her nose touched his stomach, twice. He groaned as she did it a third time, and she felt his cock jerk before she tasted him when he came. Lita slowly removed him from her mouth, and he shivered as she did it.
“Holy motherfucking shit, you’re amazing,” he whispered reverentially. “That was, hands down, the best blow job of my life.”
Lita smiled. “Thanks, but did I do it?”
Sebastian blinked a couple of times before seeming to realize what she was asking and turning the phone screen to her. He’d forgotten to stop it, but it was showing twelve minutes, eighteen seconds, and counting.
“Oh my god, I did it!” Lita exclaimed as she stood up.
Sebastian pulled her up to standing, then kissed her, and she could feel his still semi-hard penis pressing against her as his hands wandered all over her body. She could feel that she was incredibly wet.
“Yes, you did. Well done, princess. You’re a millionaire. How does it feel?”
“Unsatisfying,” she said honestly. “I have no goal to aim for now, and I’m in need of a seriously good fucking.”
Sebastian grinned at her. “So am I, but we probably shouldn’t. The guys will be here soon.” He reached up under her top, placed a hand on either of her breasts under her bra, and slowly stroked her nipples with his thumbs.
They heard Hayden call out from the entryway, and Lita groaned. “At least you got to come. I’m going to be on edge all night.”
“Maybe we can sneak away later,” Sebastian laughed and took her hand as they went to greet their guests.
“Hey, guys. Lita, how are you feeling today?” Hayden asked as they walked toward them.
Lita walked over to him and gave him a hug. “I’m good, we saw Eric this morning, and everything is perfectly fine. Hi, Blake.”
Blake nodded at her but didn’t say anything.
“That’s awesome news. I can’t wait to see what you’ve done on the game,” Hayden said.
“Oh, want to come and have a look now?” Lita smiled at him.
“Sure, want to come and see as well, Blake?”
Blake shrugged. “Why not? Especially if it’s a choice between that and chatting with my buddy, Sebastian.”
Sebastian glared at him and rolled his eyes before walking over to the sofa and dropping onto it while pulling his phone out of his pocket.
Hayden and Blake followed Lita to the office, where the game was still open on the screen. Before she could start to show them anything, Blake smiled at her and said, “You and Hayden have been talking so much lately, I’m getting worried you might be trying to steal him away from me.”
“Sebastian and I are together now.” Lita frowned at him.
“Yes, but Hayden is your favorite band member, I heard.” Blake raised an eyebrow at her.
Lita saw Hayden cringe, and she couldn’t tell if Blake was serious or not. Either way, she was irritated by his comment and the tone he used when saying, ‘favorite band member.’ She felt like he was trying to emphasize that she was a fan of the band in a nasty way.
“Yes, and I’m having a baby with Sebastian.” Lita indicated to her very pregnant belly. “Hayden is awesome, but I’m not in love with him. We’ve been working together on the game; I’m not trying to get him into bed with me or anything.”
“Good to hear. I just wasn’t sure because you text him all the time.” Blake shrugged.
There was an awkward silence. Lita wanted to point out that they were mostly texting about the game, and even if they weren’t, it wasn’t really any of his business, but she didn’t want to cause trouble, so she kept her mouth shut.
Hayden looked uncomfortable, but he broke the silence by smiling at Lita and asking, “Can I see the game?”
Lita smiled back at him. “I haven’t done a huge amount in the last week, but I think I’ve got the general gameplay sorted. I’ve spoken to one of the guys at work, and he’s going to put me in touch with someone in Chicago who should be able to help me polish up the graphics.”
They had decided to make the game an episodic adventure that would loosely be based around whatever the band was doing at the time. For the first release, Lita was expanding on the idea from the game she made for Sebastian. You could spend a week in the life of each band member at home in Chicago.
There were storylines and goals for each of them, and completing it as Harrison would unlock the opportunity to play as Heather and do a fashion design minigame. They’d come up with a list of achievements as well. The original easter egg of Hayden beating Sebastian at pool was the first achievement they’d made, though Lita had coded in different ways for each character to do it, making them more complicated as she went, to make it harder to get all of the pool game achievements.
Each member of the band had worked with her to give her ideas for their characters, but Hayden had helped her the most to come up with the storylines and dialogue for everyone. Blake was right that they had texted and called each other a lot over the last six weeks, but as a result, she’d been able to make good progress with the game even amidst all of her medical issues.
“It’s brilliant, Lita,” Hayden grinned at her after she’d shown them her latest progress on the game.
“The graphics are still a bit shit, aren’t they?” Blake said.
“Blake, that’s rude. Lita’s worked really hard on this game.” Hayden glared at him.
“Sorry, I’m just trying to give constructive criticism.”
“We’re going to get someone to help me with the graphics,” Lita informed him.
“Good. It’ll be so much better with better graphics.” Blake nodded.
Lita didn’t say anything, just closed the game and locked the computer before turning to them and saying, “Let’s go see if the others are here yet.”
They left the office and headed out to find Sebastian sitting on the sofa in the living area, talking to Harrison and Heather.
“How are you feeling, darling?” Heather asked, giving Lita a hug as she sat down in the gap between Sebastian and Heather on the sofa.
“I’m fine, and everything’s going well. It’s been wonderfully peaceful out here.”
“Hey, guys,” Harrison said.
“Hi, Harrison.” Hayden smiled at him.
“How are you guys? Is Heather going to hit anyone today?” Blake smirked at her.
Heather rolled her eyes at him. “If I haven’t hit you by now, Blake, it’s probably not going to happen.”
“That depends, because there are clearly some topics that get a reaction out of you,” he told her.
The air in the room got tense, and Lita felt Sebastian stiffen as he looked up at Blake, then said in a cold voice, “If you even think about bringing that topic up, you won’t have to worry about Heather hitting you.”
Blake laughed and dropped onto the sofa. “How does your girlfriend feel about you being so defensive of another woman?”
“I’m closer to you than he is; I’d probably just slap you before he could,” Lita said.
“You really don’t have a problem with the way that Sebastian acts like Heather’s knight in shining armor?” Blake asked.
Lita narrowed her eyes at him. “What is your problem, Blake? I’m honestly curious. Every time I’ve seen you, you’ve acted like an asshole. It seems as though you’re actively trying to be as annoying as possible.”
“What? Just because I say the things that no one else will say about Sebastian and Heather?” Blake asked in a defensive tone.
“No. Because it’s not just them and the rumors about them, it’s all the other things that you say, like that Sebastian was out trying to pick up women when you knew it would upset me.”
“Hey, I honestly thought that’s what he was doing. In case you’ve forgotten, he lied to everyone about that,” Blake objected.
&n
bsp; “Okay, but even if that’s what he was doing, what do you gain from telling me about it? Pissing Sebastian off at his birthday party? Is there a reason that you want to alienate Hayden’s friends?” Lita asked.
Lita was incredibly uncomfortable having this conversation, but Hayden had become someone who meant a lot to her, and she hated to see the way that Blake acted around everyone, especially after he’d told her how much it upset him.
Blake held his hands up in a conciliatory gesture and said, “Sorry, everyone. I didn’t mean to upset anyone. I was just trying to make a couple of jokes. Clearly, they didn’t land, my bad.”
Lita frowned; she hated when people used ‘joking’ as an excuse for being an asshole. “You seemed pretty serious when you said you thought I was trying to steal Hayden off you.”
“It was a joke. I guess you didn’t get it,” Blake told her.
“He accused you of trying to steal Hayden?” Sebastian asked Lita, and when she nodded, he laughed, but there was no humor to it. He looked back toward Blake and said, “Wow, that is a funny joke. I didn’t realize you had a sense of humor, Blake.”
“I’m glad you get it.” Blake was obviously unapologetic.
“Those were some very funny jokes,” Sebastian agreed. “You should know, though, that you’re a guest in my home. Keep making those funny jokes, and your welcome here will be very quickly worn out.”
“Ugh. I skipped the Club Delirium New Year’s Eve party for this.” Blake rolled his eyes.
“By all means, feel free to leave. You’ve still got time to get there before it kicks off,” Gabriel said in a cold tone from the doorway where he stood, holding Ariana’s hand and glaring at Blake.
“Hayden drove me; I’m stuck here.” Blake shrugged.
“Ethan drove us, so you’re more than welcome to have him drive you back to Chicago. I’d hate for you to miss the Club Delirium party,” Gabriel informed him.
Blake didn’t respond, and there was an awkward silence again.
“I can drive you back, Blake,” Hayden said quietly.
“And skip New Year’s with us?” Sebastian asked him.
“No, I’ll drive back. I can be back before midnight.”
“Hayden, no,” Blake said in a gentler tone than Lita had heard him use all afternoon. “Look, it’s probably best if I go, but I don’t want you driving another six hours because of me.”
Hayden turned to look at Blake as he said it, and Blake leaned forward and kissed him.
“Come with me and help me collect up my stuff. Then Gabriel’s driver can take me back to Chicago.”
Hayden nodded, and they left the room holding hands. Gabriel glared at Blake as they walked out, and Ariana looked nervous. Once they had gone, Gabriel and Ariana moved into the room and sat down on the sofa.
“Fuck, I hate him,” Sebastian spat out.
“We know, darling,” Heather smiled at him. “I don’t think anyone here is his biggest fan.”
Lita was reminded of his comment about Hayden being her favorite band member and how it had seemed like a dig at her being a fan and wrinkled her nose.
Harrison saw her and laughed. “Even Lita doesn’t like him, and she’s only met him a few times.”
“I won’t lie; I’m not a fan either. Was he like that when Hayden was with him before?” Ariana asked.
“Pretty much,” Sebastian told her. “He’s an asshole, and I know that’s saying a lot, coming from me.”
“You’re not an asshole, Seb. Not like that, anyway.” Ariana shook her head.
“Thanks, Ariana. I think.” Sebastian smiled at her.
Lita thought about Blake’s abrupt change in demeanor when Hayden offered to drive him back to Chicago. “He does seem to care about Hayden, though.”
“His only redeeming feature, I can assure you,” Gabriel told her. “Seriously. The only thing I like about him is that he does treat Hayden well when he’s not trying to piss us all off. He has a bit of a jealous streak, though, so I’m not surprised he accused you of trying to steal him.”
Lita remembered Hayden’s comment about not being on tour now and hoping that would make a difference in their relationship. She wondered if it was the jealous streak that Gabriel talked about that had caused problems.
After about half an hour, Hayden and Blake came back downstairs with Blake’s luggage. He gave them a terse goodbye, and Gabriel went with them to find Ethan and ask him to drive Blake back to Chicago. When they came back, there was silence for a moment before Hayden spoke.
“I’m sorry, guys. I know you don’t like him, but I didn’t think it would go that badly.”
Heather sighed. “No, we should apologize, Hayden. He’s your boyfriend, and regardless of how any of us may or may not feel about him, we need to accept that. I’m sorry for my part in him feeling like he should leave.”
“Hey, where was that attitude when Gabriel got back together with me?” Ariana raised an eyebrow at Heather.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, Yoko.” Heather winked at Ariana, and she laughed.
The conversation moved on, but Lita noticed that Hayden was quieter than he usually was. They decided to go for a swim in the pool. Sebastian had an indoor pool area that Lita felt belonged more at a hotel resort than someone’s private house. It was extremely extravagant and even had the Cruise Control symbol at the bottom of the pool.
She loved swimming in here, though, because the weightlessness in the water eased the pressure of her baby bump, and she’d spent hours in this pool over the last week.
Eventually, there was a moment when she and Hayden were sitting alone on the steps in the shallow end of the pool while everyone else was occupied elsewhere in the pool area. Heather and Ariana were in the spa, while Sebastian, Gabriel, and Harrison were down the deep end, having a conversation.
“Are you okay?” Lita asked Hayden.
“Yeah, just a bit bummed that Blake isn’t here and about how that all went down.” He shrugged his shoulders.
“Can I be honest with you?”
Hayden grinned at her. “Aren’t you always?”
“True. What the hell do you see in Blake?”
“We hit it off from the first time we met. I mean, he’s hot, but he’s also flirty, fun, and amazing in bed. Seb never got along with him, but I thought that was just Seb being Seb, because at first, Blake was different. After a couple of months, though, he started getting jealous any time he saw pictures of me with anyone, male or female.”
“That’s a red flag,” Lita said with a frown.
“I suppose it is. We ended up arguing about it all the time. Finally, it got to be too much, and I broke up with him.” Hayden sighed.
“Okay, so why did you get back with him?” Lita raised an eyebrow at Hayden.
He smiled at her. “Loneliness, I suppose.”
“You’re Hayden Vega, though; you could get anyone you wanted.”
“A blessing and a curse. It’s harder than you’d think to find someone who is genuinely interested in you as a person and not just the fame and the money. Blake has his own money and has moved in celebrity circles his whole life, so it’s never been about that for him.
“Ally and I broke up; she moved on and was happy.” Hayden saw the look on Lita’s face and laughed. “I’m happy for her, I really am, but I was lonely. I started thinking about Blake and wondering what he was up to, so I texted him to catch up. One thing led to another, and now…here we are, I guess.”
“Those comments he made today, they weren’t okay, Hayden. It really does seem like he’s looking for the things that will upset us all. Then, he blames it on it being a joke, which is bullshit.” Lita shook her head, still unable to believe what a dick Blake had been.
“I know. He is sorry, though. He told me so. He feels bad that he ruined New Year’s Eve.”
Sebastian swam over to them and put his arms around Lita. “What are you two talking so seriously about?”
“Blake,” Lita told him
.
“I see. I’ll refrain from commenting because I love you, Hayden.”
“You could’ve refrained from commenting earlier; that would’ve helped more,” Hayden told him.
“Heather was right, he’s your boyfriend, and we need to accept that. I promise that I’ll be on my best behavior the next time we see him. Scout’s honor!”
“You were never a Scout, Seb.” Hayden rolled his eyes.
“Seb’s honor, then.” Sebastian grinned at Hayden.
“Are you sure this is the man you want to have a baby with?” Hayden asked Lita with a grin.
“I don’t really have much choice now.” Lita laughed and rubbed her massive baby bump.
“Well, I wish you the best of luck with that.”
“Hey, you’re not trying to steal my girlfriend, are you?” Sebastian narrowed his eyes at Hayden.
Hayden laughed at him. “How did you guess?”
“It’s not the first time today that I’ve heard about you two planning to run away together,” Sebastian told him.
“Oh, I’m starting to see how the Sebastian and Heather rumors started now.” Lita laughed.
After they’d all gotten out of the pool and dried off, they had dinner and then made their way to the theater room. Lita shared a chair with Sebastian, and they watched an action film. He had his arms around her and softly stroked her skin when people weren’t looking at them.
“Do you know what you’re doing to me?” Lita asked him in a whisper.
Sebastian gave her a wicked grin and whispered back, “I’m making sure that as soon as it passes midnight and we can make our excuses to go upstairs, you’ll be wet and aching for it, so I can fuck you the second we’re alone.”
“Okay, just as long as you’re aware,” Lita said, and Sebastian chuckled.
When the movie ended, Sebastian put on the New Year’s Eve coverage, and they talked, drank, and ate snacks until midnight, with Sebastian keeping Lita aroused with soft caresses and kisses all night.
When it ticked over into the new year, Sebastian gave Lita a long, slow kiss, then said, “Happy New Year, princess.”
“Happy New Year, Seb,” she replied.
“I think we’re probably going to have to call it a night,” Sebastian announced to the group. “Lita’s normally in bed by nine, these days.”
