are going to numb you up and fix those teeth.” Tom said to King Arthur.
King Arthur looked worried. “What meanset thou? What is 'numb'?”
“We will give you medicine.”Dana explained. “That will keep you from feeling pain in those teeth.”
“Very well...Proceed!”King Arthur said.
So they did. They worked quickly and before long King Arthur's teeth were as good as new.
“Thou hast removed the pain!”King Arthur said to Tom and Dana. “Although mine face feels fat and odd.”
“That will wear off soon.” Tom said. “Nothing to worry about.”
“Here.” Dana said. She handed King Arthur a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. “Use it often.”
The King looked at the items questioningly and uttered a weak. “Indeed.”
Roger and King Arthur were about to leave when Susan arrived. She was pushing a computer on a cart. “I guess I caught you!”
“What?” Tom asked in surprise. “Caught us? We're not...I can explain!” He stammered.
Susan didn't notice Toms nervousness and said to King Arthur “Before you disappear... Will it be cash or charge?”
“Charge.” Roger said interrupting and he pulled a clear card from his robe and handed it to Susan. She looked at it with interest and then swiped it. Next she handed Roger a paper and the clear card. Roger signed the paper and handed it back with a smile.
“Thank you. Oh, by the way - Great costumes!” Susan said as she pushed the cart away.
“Freak out.” Dana said under her breath to Tom.
Tom was on the verge of protesting when Roger spoke.
“Thank you.”Roger said as he began to steer King Arthur away. “Your country thanks you, you future thanks you...But we must go...Time has almost caught up to us.” Roger said hustling King Arthur out of the cubicle and away toward the elevators.
Dana watched them until they entered the elevator and then turned to Tom“Okay explain.”
“Well.” Tom said excitedly.“That was the real King Arthur!”
“Oh please!” Dana said rolling her eyes.
“Really! We just saved the world!” Tom insisted.
At that moment Roger hurried up back up to them. He was clean shaven now and dressed a white wig and tights. “Come on you two!” He said. “You are needed again -Section 78...”
“What now?” Tom asked.
“It's George Washington! I think he's going to need dentures! Time to save the world again!” Roger said as he rushed them over to the elevator. The doors opened and the three got inside Dana began quickly firing questions as the doors closed. When the doors opened again on the first floor the three time travelers were gone!
