A Monster for Two Bears
Page 18
Turi writhed under him, moaning against Lane’s lips. His body strained, at war with his desire. Kai built him up, demanding submission… demanding surrender. Slowly Turi stopped his fighting and his hips rolled, feeding his cock into Kai’s mouth.
Once the tide turned, it didn’t take much longer before Turi cried out and the first blast of seed hit the back of Kai’s throat. Kai smiled around the cock between his lips, feeling victorious. He lapped up their omega’s seed, savoring the flavor. Not stopping until Turi was left boneless, Kai then trailed his kisses back up to share a kiss with Turi.
Turi moaned, tasting himself on Kai’s lips. “You’re awfully good at that.”
Kai and Lane chuckled.
“Yes, he’s very good at that,” Lane agreed before meeting Kai’s stare.
Kai winked at his brother bear before dropping beside a still hard-breathing Turi. Lane was on the opposite side, wrapping themselves around their omega.
“We’re not done,” Turi stated, turning to look at them both. “Not by a long shot.”
Kai tugged the man closer. “Moments ago, you refused our claim. Now we’re not done?”
A look of sorrow filled Turi’s face. “I didn’t want to say that. I just felt… unworthy.”
“Good thing there was no one else to hear it,” Lane said. “And if anyone claims you did, I’m lying.”
Turi looked away.
Kai made the man turn back. “Why did you say it?”
“I’ve told you I had demons. And I want to tell you more about them… I do. But I’m just not ready yet.”
Kai nodded. “Okay. We would never force you to tell us anything you didn’t feel ready to.”
Lane reached over and brushed a hand over Turi’s cheek. “When you’re ready, we’re here.”
Turi smiled, but it was tinged with sadness. “Right now… I want to feel you. I want.” He cast a look at Lane. “My choice.”
Kai sensed Turi hadn’t had a choice before.
While his body and the shifter within were more than ready to claim, his heart and mind knew better. Just like his last night with Lane, he needed to let Turi have his way. He lay back and smiled up at Turi. “Whatever you need… it’s yours. Take it.”
An odd look crossed Turi’s face before his eyes shone brightly. The omega leaned into steal a kiss before moving to steal one from Lane. Turi moved to straddle Kai, rubbing his still hard cock against the one raging to be inside the omega.
The bear within roared, ready to sink his fingers into Turi’s hips and lead the way.
With Lane, it had almost felt easier. All their years together, learning one another, it had created a comfortable bond between them. The connections to Turi were tenuous, at best, and there was a desperate need within Kai to tighten them with a claiming.
He held back, refusing to give in to that baser instinct—Turi was skittish enough. Kai fought his nature, lying there while dying from that friction of cock sliding along cock.
Suddenly, Lane leapt to his feet. Kai reached out to grab his ankle. There was no way he’d be left alone in his torment.
“I’ll be right back,” Lane said before untangling himself and going to the nightstand.
As soon as he ripped it open, Kai knew what he was looking for. Bear Mountain Inns was a full-service resort, looking into all the needs of their guests. As most of the rooms had held humans awaiting their bears, the nightstands had been stocked with lube.
Lane pulled something from the drawer before slamming it shut. He tossed a full, unused bottle of lube to the floor beside them. “Just in case.”
Turi lifted the bottle in his hand and looked at it a moment. For just a split second, that numb, blank look crossed his face—but then it was gone. He opened the bottle and poured some into his palm before reaching back to slicken his ass.
When he was done, he reached down and coated Kai’s cock. “I want to feel you inside me…”
“Both of us?” Lane asked.
Both of them were needed for a full claiming. Until then, Turi was not officially theirs.
“Not yet,” Turi whispered, shaking his head. “I’m not ready.”
Lane caressed Turi’s cheek, smiling. “No worries. I told you we would never hurt you… nor will we force you.”
Turi turned his head and kissed the inside of Lane’s palm before turning back to Kai. He reared up a little, until the head of Kai’s cock was wedged between his cheeks. Kai groaned as he felt the tip slide just inside their omega’s ass. Inch by delicious inch, Turi pressed down onto him, impaling himself.
Kai watched the myriad emotions roiling over Turi’s face, delighting in them all. Once they were bound completely, Turi wiggled his hips some, making Kai hiss.
“I chose you,” he whispered. “It was my choice.”
Kai cupped the side of Turi’s head, realizing this was a declaration of sorts—and knowing the other times Turi had been in a similar situation, he hadn’t been able to choose. Tears burned the backs of Kai’s eyes… but he refused to spill them. This was a moment of Turi’s breaking free from the past.
He was in control for the first time, and it was a glorious thing.
Turi began to ride him, wild and with abandon. He took what he needed, demanding his pleasure. Kai held back and watched the beauty of the moment and smiled as he saw Turi’s smile.
After a few minutes, Turi rose above Kai and moved to straddle Lane. “And I chose you.”
Kai rolled to his side, watching as Lane and Turi came together. Once bound as one, he ran his hands over Turi’s thigh before leaning in to kiss Lane. Turi leaned down, and in turn, kissed them both before moving over Lane’s cock.
It went on for what felt like hours. Turi took his fill from both of them, sharing their bodies one after the other.
But not together as three.
Kai would take it—it was a step in the right direction—and a milestone for their omega. When he came, his back bowed, a massive roar coming from his firm lips, Kai followed him, filling the male with his seed. Lane came moments later, in Turi’s palm. Turi collapsed against his chest, spent.
He felt the speeding heartbeat against his own and felt joy in it.
As they drifted back from the ether and were once again back to the real world, Kai lay back against the soft bedding, breathing hard. Sweat coated him and cooled on his body, but only so much thanks to the fire. He laced his fingers of one hand with Lane’s, who looked ready to drift off as much as he did. The other hand stroked Turi’s back and shoulder.
He laid a few kisses on Turi’s neck and focused on the slowing of the omega’s rapid heartbeat. Turi cuddled in closer, his lids closed.
When he knew both men were asleep, he finally let himself drift off, too.
A blast of cold awakened him some. He turned over and reached out. Something was wrong. Blinking, he opened his eyes and saw only Lane remained at his side. Kai dragged himself to his feet and scanned the cabin.
“Where’d he go?” Lane asked sleepily.
“Run off. Again.”
“Maybe he’ll be back,” Lane mumbled. “Just give him a minute.”
Kai couldn’t rest. He moved to the door and opened it, the mountain air biting his flesh. Winter approached, and up here on the mountain, it felt as if it had already come. His stare searched the yard and tree line. There was no sign of Turi.
Lane was suddenly at his side. “I don’t sense the same confusion and sadness as I did before.”
Kai drew Lane closer and shut the door. “Nor do I.”
“Maybe we just let him have his alone time. For now.”
Kai nodded.
“I’ve never heard others speak of sensing emotions before—have you?”
“No,” Kai answered. “I haven’t. But I like it… especially with a mate so closed off to us.”
“Perhaps that’s why we feel it. He’s such a ball of emotion that it radiates off him strongly.”
“Possibly,” Kai said, gazing down into Lane
’s dark eyes. The golden flecks shimmered in the light of the fire. “But there’s someone I can’t read as easily. How are you?”
Lane frowned. “We just shared our mate. I’m fine.”
Kai gripped Lane’s chin and forced the man to look him dead in the eye. “He took the role you normally crave. You prefer to receive. Or has something changed now that we have our omega?”
“I don’t always bottom.” Lane’s eyes lit up. “Okay, maybe I do often… but he’s our mate. An omega. It’s natural for him to fall into that role.” Lane paused. “But I did feel a little lost. I love feeling you inside me.”
“I don’t want you feeling lost,” Kai whispered. “Or feeling as if you need to change now. I want you to be who you are. I want you to be satisfied and fulfilled. Always knowing I love you.”
Lane’s eyes grew brighter. “It was one time. Perhaps the next you can spank my ass and take me while I take him.”
Kai grinned. “Sounds fun. Why wait?”
“While I would love to stay here and play some more, I was supposed to see my family after the celebration. Again, I’m late and I’ll have to hear my father’s complaints.”
Kai let go of Lane’s chin. “I understand a schedule to a certain point, but this is ridiculous. Having to sign up for time to see your own papa?”
Lane reached for the cabin’s phone. “Maybe we can slip in around dinner time again. Let me call.”
Kai moved to the fire, half listening to the call, his mind pre-occupied with thoughts of Turi. Every time they moved closer, they ended up taking three steps back. The frustration was mounting, but he’d need to find a way to release it. Turning to look at his brother bear, he smiled.
“We’re invited for dinner. And this time, you stay,” Lane said, one brow rising.
“Fine. Fine.” He walked over to the bed where Lane had sat to make the call. Kai grabbed Lane by the back of his head, yanking him by his hair. “That means we have a few hours to kill.”
A sliver of a smile crossed Lane’s lips. “We do.”
Kai pushed Lane back on the bed before flipping him. He brought a hand down hard, the sound of the slap reverberating around them a little.
A moan came from deep within Lane. “Harder!”
Kai gave another, watching as Lane’s back arched, another strangled moan coming.
“Yessss,” Lane hissed.
Kai grabbed the discarded bottle of lube from the floor and coated himself again before pressing the head of his hard cock against Lane’s ass. “Are you ready for me, love?”
“Dear gods yesss,” Lane said, his face against the bed.
Kai sank into his brother bear, eyes closing. A roar came from his lips, shaking the very walls.
How blessed was he… to have two beautiful men to share?
They came together, hard and fast. He sensed a desperate need in Lane, one he ached to fill. Their bodies clashed, writhing together. And when he came, it spurred Lane to release in his hand.
They collapsed on the bed, exhausted and blissed out of their minds. He dragged Lane into his arms, where his brother bear always belonged.
In time, they’d have their omega at their side.
Forevermore.

Turi stood outside the cabin, watching the two brother bears together through one of the windows. They shared a bond he worried he never would feel, but there was an aching need to reach for it. To have a little of it for himself.
Maybe there was a chance for them.
Heat flooded his furred body, and a smile came to his maw. While part of him wanted to shift back and go inside to share more with them—he’d had his fill for one afternoon. Things had flipped upside down, and he felt overwhelmed.
He needed time alone.
To think.
And to find the nerve to tell them the truth before Benny did.

Lane’s body ached as he climbed out of the SUV. But it was a good kind of ache—one he craved more of. “A quick shower and we’re off to dinner,” he reminded Kai. “And you’re staying.”
“I said I would,” Kai promised.
Lane gave him a glare before smiling. They walked toward the entrance to the hotel, only to find Benny and his family wheeling their luggage out to their waiting Escalade.
Lane hadn’t felt that much relief in ages.
“Well, well, well… if it’s not the prodigal sons returning,” Benny said, giving them an odd look.
“Look, Benny, I know you’re angry we’re not returning with you—you’ve given us a lot over the years and we’re not ungrateful,” Kai said.
“You’re not? You’re the definition of ungrateful. I offer you the keys to the kingdom, and you go running for home. Not only that, you buy into this brainwashing Declan’s got on everyone. I thought better of you. Gregor deserved better of you.”
Lane sensed guilt coming from Kai and knew he needed to put a stop to it. “Benny—you’re trying to make him feel bad because you’re not getting your way.”
“Oh, Lane, I expect this outta you. You’re soft and easy. Too nice. Kai—he’s like me. Or at least I thought he was.”
“I’m nothing like you,” Kai spat.
“Oh. I know. Now I know,” Benny said. He looked to Keir. “Get the bags packed. I want out of this shit town now.”
“Drive safe,” Kai said to Benny before they both walked away.
“You talk to your mate?” Benny asked before they’d taken more than three steps.
Lane’s hackles rose. He sensed Kai’s body tensing, too.
“No. Have you?” Kai asked.
Benny grinned. “Nope. But I did learn something interesting about him.”
“Oh?” Lane asked.
Benny stepped closer. “Your little omega’s a whore.”
Lane had to stop Kai from lunging.
Benny just chuckled. “He’s had all kinds of dick in him. How’s it feel getting other men’s sloppy seconds?”
“Fuck you,” Kai growled.
“Oh, fuck him. And he was fucked. Even had a couple of babes. Maybe more. That whore’s been bred and bred and bred. Who knows if you could even get a babe on him now. He might be all used up.”
“Shut up, Benny,” Lane cried, holding Kai away.
Kai got past him and took a swing at Benny, catching his uncle on the chin.
Benny stumbled back before lunging at Kai. Lane pushed between them, getting scraped by a set of claws along the cheek. He roared in pain before the other men pulled Kai and Benny apart.
“Leave Bear Mountain and don’t ever come back!” Kai screamed at his uncle.
Benny ripped from his brother bear’s and Keir’s arms before straightening his suit. “Gladly. Good luck with your whore.”
Benny’s family climbed into the Escalade. Keir was the last to get in. He gave an anguished nod to Kai before sliding behind the wheel and driving the SUV away. Lane finally let out the breath he’d been holding.
“I don’t understand how he went from loving uncle one day to this angry, wounded bear,” Lane said.
“He peeled back the curtain a little bit—just before we left Chicago. He showed me some of the dark side to this business and that he wanted me to step in and learn that part of things. I told him then and there I didn’t want it. It wasn’t me. He was sure I’d cave and do what he wanted. I wanted to run away that very minute… and then you called. With your emergency. So we ran.”
“What did he show you that made you want to run?”
“He attacked Gino. Drove a fork through his hand, demanding the human didn’t open that club. At least, not with dancers. Apparently, that’s how Benny does business.”
“Jeez… why didn’t you tell me the whole story?”
Kai brushed his knuckles just under Lane’s scratch. “Because you had too much to worry about as it was. Your papa needed to be your focus. Not this.”
“You keep too many things bottled up.”
Kai chuckled.
Turi’s got me beat. I’m an open book in comparison.”
Lane nodded. “You are. Do you think Benny was right about him?”
“That he’s a whore? Not even!”
“No, no,” Lane cried, shaking his head. “That’s he’s had children?”
“You know Benny’s nose. And after what we heard about Zed—I’d say it’s possible. Probable.”
Lane eyed Kai. “Does it bother you?”
Kai shrugged. “He had no control. He was forced. He was a victim—if it happened.”
“It might be these demons he’s so worried about us finding. And might be why he thinks he’s unworthy.”
“Probably,” Kai said. “Do we tell him we know and don’t care? Or do we wait and let him tell us—and let it eat him alive until he finds the strength? I hate that he’s suffering—but it’s his story to tell.”
Lane hated it, too. “I’m torn. I don’t know. I really don’t know.”
“I want to check on him before we leave for dinner,” Kai said, turning Lane toward the hotel’s entrance.
“Agreed.”
Once back in their room, they showered and dressed for dinner before they left to check in on Turi.
Lane stood at the door, watching the frustration filling Kai’s expression when he didn’t answer. “He’ll be okay. We have time.”
Chapter Seventeen
Monday morning…
Lane sat in the doctor’s office with his fathers. There was another human there, waiting, and he, too, looked as exhausted and withered as his papa. Unlike their family, the man was alone.
Who would leave their human to handle a visit like this alone?
Lane couldn’t image Kai and him making Turi deal with anything this huge on his own. And they weren’t even officially mated yet.
He almost felt the need to go sit by the man. Hold his hand and tell him that everything would be okay. It might be a lie, but maybe it would give the human a moment of hope.
