She’s silent, taking in all the information that I’ve given her.

“So, your trips to the club, were for informational purposes? You didn’t go there with the intent to hook up with a random woman?” she asks.

“I had zero intentions to do that.” I hold my palms up and say.

She’s quiet and I wait for her to say something, as I don’t want to push her.

“I think we should cancel dinner for tonight,” she says finally. “I need to sit and think on this.”

“Okay, I do want you to know that I’m sorry that I went to the club, but I think it helped me realize a lot more than I thought before.”

“I’ll take that into consideration,” she replies.

I push off of the fridge and see my way out. I look over at my place and it’s dark. I start off toward the bar. I need to be around people before I start to think shit that I shouldn’t.

  Chapter Thirteen

Noah is standing at the bar, waiting for Miles to get him his drinks. He turns and sees me standing there, apparently looking like a lost puppy. He tilts his head over to his table and silently, I follow him.

Valerie, his fiancée waves at me as Noah scoots in beside her.

“Hey Micah, how’s it going? I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever,” she says.

“It’s been a minute,” I reply smiling at her. She’s an awesome chick and even managed to tame the wild playboy of Mercy.

  “Everything alright?” Noah asks.

I look between them and shake my head.

“Do you want to go somewhere else and talk?” Noah asks.

“No, it’s okay,” I take a deep breath and fold my hands in front of me and recount everything up until the moment that I walked inside the bar tonight. I explained to Valerie about the dynamics of the club, it felt great and welcome that she had no outward reaction during my telling of events.

“So, you basically fucked up, that sucks. Did you get any read with how pissed off she was?” Noah asks.

“She was pissed, I could tell that much,” I reply.

“Can I give you some insight into the female brain a little?” Valerie interjects while I nod. “You did fuck up. You went behind her back and went to this club, without even mentioning it to her ahead of time. She called you, but it went to voicemail. Think about how that would look to you. While you may not have actually done anything in the club, you were there and that was something that she asked to be left out of the current relationship that you guys have. Think about it this way, and some people think like this. You’re in a relationship and you find out that your significant other is getting off to porn. Now, I’m not saying all people think this way, but some would see that as cheating,”

“Really?” Noah interrupts whipping his gaze to Valerie.

“I’ve seen the topics online, it’s interesting. Anyways, in your case, your girlfriend is gone, not even twenty-four hours and there you are at the club right away. As if you went the moment she left, like you couldn’t wait. You’ve gone behind her back and while you say that you didn’t do anything but window shop, the purpose of the club is to get off basically.”

“Hi.” Carol says from beside the table. She looks less pissed off than she did an hour ago and I couldn’t be happier that she’s here.

“Hey, um. Valerie this is Carol. Carol, this is Noah’s fiancée Valerie.” Valerie reaches and takes Carol’s hand and share quick pleasantries.

  “Can we talk?” Carol asks.

I move quickly to stand up, say my goodbyes to my friends and lead Carol out of the bar. We begin walking side by side down the street, both of us with our hands in our pockets.

“I’m hurt that you went to the club,” she says breaking the silence.

“I know, and I’m sorry that I did.”

“If you would have spoken to me about wanting to go, then I would have been fine and maybe would have even agreed to go with you. But I’m hurt that you went immediately once I left town. Like, almost as if you went there with an intention, even though you say you didn’t.”

“You’re right, I should have spoken to you about it. I think, and I’m not saying this is true. But I think that as soon as you were gone, I was thinking that I was getting too deep, when the fact was that I was always in deep with you.”

“So, what do we do here?” she asks as we walk mindlessly through the streets.

“What if we make plans to go to the club as an official couple. It wouldn’t be any different than how we have previously been at the club, or when we are here in Mercy.”

“So, you want to continue going to the club, but with me?” she asks for clarification.

“You and I have known one another for almost a year, it’s been about you since the first day that we met. I don’t want anyone else. But I think I need the club for a sense of normalcy, in a strange way.”

“And you think that the club will do what?” she asks.

“I don’t know, add another element to our relationship. Like I told you, before you came along, it was all I knew. Why don’t we go there as a couple and keep that as an extra thing that we occasionally do?” I ask.

“So, you’re saying occasionally and not twice a week?”

“Yes. I’ll have you every night here, if you let me. But once in a while, we revisit what brought us together?”

“Such an interesting story that we have for how we met, wouldn’t you say?” she stops and turns to me.

“Every story is unique and that’s no different than ours,” I reply.

She holds out her hand and smiles as I lace my fingers with hers.

“Occasional sex club, but we don’t go behind one another’s back anymore and go there alone, you got it?” she squeezes my hand.

  “Roger that, loud and clear.”

  Epilogue

She kneels before me, dressed in a short-pleated skirt, pigtails and a bra with a small bow in front. She has my cock in her hand and her tongue licking up and down my length as she stares up at me.

Her cherry red lips move around my cock while she swallows me humming as she sucks me off.

Our eyes never leave each other as I come in her mouth and down her throat.

She pulls off of me with a pop and dabs at the corners of her mouth with a smile.

“I’m ready to go home,” she smirks.

“Me too, I think after that, I can deal with the drive home and be ready to fuck you into oblivion as soon as we step foot inside.”

I offer her my hand to stand and she puts her shirt back on, while I situate myself in my pants. Together, hand in hand, we leave the club.

We only come here every few months, as we’re both busy and enjoying the normalcy of our relationship aspects. We moved in together on our eight month official relationship anniversary, and now my brother lives in my old place. Since he’s too chicken shit to move in with Nydia.

The drive home is relaxing and silent, my hand is on her thigh and her hand sits atop of mine. When we pull up to the driveway, I see Cooper and Lewis, one of our regulars from the bar standing in the driveway talking. They both look over and wave as we get out of the car. Cooper has made Mercy home, with his own friends, a job, a girlfriend and all.

Carol pulls my hand as we meet in front of my car and we walk up and inside the house.

She pushes me against the wall, and I drop the keys on the floor as her lips are on mine and my hands lock behind her. In a series of slow and sensual kisses, she has my cock hard and in her hand as she strokes me through my pants.

I twist and have her planted against the wall a moment later, as I kiss her roughly, then she’s hoisted in my arms and we’re walking through the house.

I lay her gently on the bed and pull at her clothes. With our clothing strewn all over our bedroom, she squirms as I hover over her with my cock at her entrance, nudging gently inside. The cords in my neck clench as her body and mine become one. As soon as I’m buried inside of her, she gasps with the grinding of my hip
s against hers. I pull out and thrust myself back in while watching her face. I begin to thrust into her harder and harder, just the way that she likes it with her hair wrapped around my fist. Her hands rake my sides and pull me down for a tantalizing kiss.

With the push and pull of our bodies together and our deep moans filling the room, we both release at just about the same time. The feeling of our orgasms hitting at the same time quickens my thrusts. Carol’s eyes roll into the back of her head, her mouth screams an animalistic noise as her fingertips dig into my skin.

No better feeling in my life spending with this woman.

It was fate that brought her to the club and into my life.

It was fate that she moved next door to me.

I believe in fate now and that’s because of her.

To her, I’m not just The Neighborhood Bar’s Manager. To her, I’m her man.

  I’m her home.

  About the Author

I am a contemporary romance author who is all about the feels, with the twists of sexy mixed in between. I have been writing since before I can remember. Writing has always been a passion, that was kept it under wraps, stayed on the back-burner and never vocalized or followed through with my desire to be a writer, until I read a horrible book and thought: ‘I could do better than that!’

I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but living in beautiful San Diego with my little family while working during the day as a social worker within Program Management

In other words, I’m a freaking superhero!
