Dire Secrets

  Jumping up both men ran out of the bedroom shouting, “Raven!! Where are you? Damn it girl, now isn’t the time for games.”

  Entering the room, Tristan has a look of confusion, “What are you two yelling at? She’s been in bed with the two of you. We’ve been checking in the room every fifteen minutes. Killian, one of your da’s seers said to watch her closely, so we did, but being that she was with you two, we knew she was safe. Are you telling me she’s not in bed?”

  Looking at each other, “Do you think we’d be acting like bloody fools if she was in bed? You’re telling me we all fell asleep and she disappeared. Is that what you’re saying?”

  Standing completely still, body full of tension, Killian looks at all the men gathered in the living room, “My da was a dreamwalker. When someone powerful or desperate enough would call to him, he would go to them. He would remain in his spirit form unless he touched someone and then his physical form would appear wherever his spirit was at the time. I believe that’s what happened to Raven, and there’s not a damn thing we can do until she can contact us. She could be anywhere.”
