  EPILOGUE

  MASON

  It’s been six months since the attack and things have settled down. The pack has gotten back to normal and to everyone’s shock and surprise the changes that Cammie has put into order have gone over well. “Hey, Alpha!” I turn and see Cammie smiling at me. I laugh at her look; she’s got a smirk on her face which means she’s up to no good. “Yes? What can I do for you?” She looks up at me all innocent and angel like. “Well, you see there’s this party being held.” I laugh as I cut her off and shake my head. “I already told you that I’m not doing it Cammie. Nope, not gonna happen. I’m not dressing up as Peter Fucking Pan.” She laughs. “Oh, come on. The kids will love it! They want to dress as the Lost Boys and who better to be Peter Pan than their Alpha?” I shake my head at this woman. She’s arranged a damn Halloween party for the kids and wants me to be Peter Pan, she’s going as Tinker Bell. But fucking tights? Hell no! “Nope, sorry babe. No can do. Find something else. How about a football team and I can be the coach? There are a bunch of things for group costumes, I’m sure you can think of something.” She narrows her eyes at me, and I know she’s got something up her sleeve. I shudder at that look. She sighs and holds her hands up. “Ok, fine. If you don’t want to participate that fine. I will get Johnson to be my Peter Pan. But you will suffer the consequences. So, don’t say I didn’t warn you.” She smiles at me and goes to walk away. I stop to think for a minute. Johnson as Peter Pan? After talking it over I decided to give Johnson a chance in the pack and he earned his spot as my Beta even though he first sided with Jacob in the attack. In the end he proved his trust when he helped take down Jacob and Micah. But Johnson in a couple’s costume with Cammie? Yeah, I don’t like the idea of that. What did she mean by consequences? That doesn’t sound good either, my heart beats a little fast.

  “Hey, wait up!” I run after her and scoop her up. She laughs. “Hey, put me down!” I kiss her neck. “Exactly what makes you think I will allow you to go to this party in matching costumes with Johnson? Um, and what were you saying about consequences?” I eye her and her smirk is back as she wiggles out of my arms. “Allow me? Ha! Since when do you allow me to do anything? Mason, I can do what I want, when I want. You have no control over it.” She stands her ground as she states this, and I smile. It’s cute and makes her sexy as Hell. I know I can’t tell her what to do, she will do the opposite and it drives me crazy. I sigh, fine. So, what were these consequences you were talking about?” I smile. She crosses her arms and smirks at me. “Oh, I don’t know, maybe I won’t cook.” I laugh and shake my head. “Well, I guess I will just have to take one for the team.” She narrows her eyes at me and then smirks again. “Oh really? Well, then big boy. I hope you can keep yourself warm at night because it’s gonna be a long, cold winter.” She smiles and I know my face has gone stone cold. Damn, this woman is mean!

  CAMMIE

  Things have been going great, the pack has settled, and I love how everyone has been getting along. I look over at Izzy and smile. She decided to stay with our pack after the attack and I couldn’t be happier. She’s gotten closer to Johnson, who has become Beta to the pack. Mason was a little weary at first since he was one of the ones that was working with Jacob at first. Then Johnson had a change of heart and helped Mason take Jacob down, proving his loyalty to Mason. I walk over and help Izzy with the armful of decorations she’s holding and laugh at her. “Girl, the party isn’t for another two weeks. There’s no need to rush.” She shakes her head. “I just want everything to be perfect for them. They’ve never had a Halloween party before. I want the kids to be happy.” She smiles and I love that she’s so happy about helping with this. I’ve put a lot into making sure that the kids and women in this pack get to experience things that they haven’t in the past. The men have treated them awful in the past and I want to make up for it. I smile at her and am about to tell her how much I love her when my phone rings. I look down and see it’s Cam.

  “Hey big Bro, what’s up?” I prop my phone on my shoulder while I carry the decorations to the table and almost drop it when I hear what he says. “Oh, my God! Really! Ok! We’re leaving now and will be there in a couple of hours. Love you!” I turn and yell for Izzy. “Izzy! Sarah is in labor! Come on we have to go!” She drops whatever she had in her hand and takes of running behind me, yelling instructions out to someone. People are looking at us like we’re crazy, but I don’t care. We have to get to the house to grab Mason and head to the Hallow pack. I’m gonna be an Aunt! We reach the house and I almost rip the door off of the hinges running in so fast. Mason turns and the shock on his face is fierce. “What the Hell? What’s wrong?” He’s up and on his feet. I’m panting from running all the way here. “Come on we have to go. Sarah is in labor!” His eyes go wide and he looks at Johnson and he nods. “Go ahead Mason, I’ve got things covered until you guys get back. Tell Sarah and Cameron congratulations for me.” Johnson tells Mason and we head out. We all shift and head towards Sarah. I can’t wait to meet my new niece or nephew.

  When we arrive, everyone is gathered around Cameron’s house, I shove my way through everyone and go inside. The smile on Cam’s face tells me everything I need to know. “Hey sis, you ready to meet your nephew?” The biggest smile ever breaks out on my face and I run into his arms. “Oh, my God! It’s a boy? Congrats Cam! I’m so happy for you. Oh, my God! I’m an Aunt!” I squeal and everyone starts laughing. Cameron laughs and motions for everyone to follow him. We walk back to see Sarah and she’s holding the cutest baby and I smile as I watch her, Cameron and Jason, the newest member of the Hallow pack. Sam is standing next to them as a proud Grandpa should. This is my family and I’ve never been happier. Mason holds me from behind and I snuggle into him. “I love you sweetheart, this right here is all I could ever ask for. I don’t need anything else.” He whispers in my ear. I turn towards him and grin. “Not even a little wolf of your own, Mr. Alpha?” His eyes go wide. I reach up and kiss him. “Congrats, Jason will have a playmate very soon. I love you Mason.” Now this is all I ever need.

  Well let’s see, this is the part that I really don’t like lol. I’m not one to really talk about myself. I’m not really all that exciting. I’m a mother to 3 teenagers, who keep me running all over the place. I’m married to my best friend who never lets me give up and pushes me to be the best that I can be every day. I love to read, basically anything that I can get my hands on. I would rather spend my time curled up with a good book than out on the town. I enjoy cooking and baking. I enjoy writing about whatever pops in my head. I can be found at my computer with one of my 3 American Bulldogs lying next to me.
