I help her back into the living room, grateful I moved my files after all. She really is dripping wet.

I want to scoop her up, to hold her properly, but the twitching in my pants would only want to take her right back to where we just came from.

  Back to the bedroom.

Maybe where we both belong right now.

I feel her shivering against me, she’s not cold either.

It’s a different kind of shudder she’s got going on, and the more she leans into me, the more our heavy breathing starts to match up as I slowly ease her towards the couch, settling her into it and keeping as close as I can as I sit down next to her.

“I’m so clumsy,” she stammers. “So stupid.”

“You’re not stupid,” I correct her, not wanting to hear her talking down about herself like that. Not ever.

“You got wet, it’s those damned pipes,” I tell her, clenching my jaw again as I remember how damned trapped I really feel here.

How I wished I’d handled this my own way from the get go instead of being roped in by the feds.

I scoff under my breath with irony. If I’d done things my way, I’d have been the one breaking the law.

But Sophie hears it differently. “Something funny?” she asks, embarrassed again but sounding more hurt.

I squeeze her shoulder with my arm a little. “I was thinking about something else, honest,” I promise her, taking a sharp breath in as her cool, soft chest presses into mine.

Soft against hard. It feels so natural to be this close to her and I can’t help but think about getting way closer to her.

“I should really keep working,” she says absently, trailing off, shivering again.

“It’s only water,” she observes, and against all my control I can’t help but look down at her chest again.

The wet blouse clinging to her body so tight, it leaves nothing to my imagination.

White blouse, white skirt… even a damned white lace bra and panties.

This girl knows how to push buttons I never even knew I had.

But it’s not just what she’s wearing.

  It’s her.

Her body, her face. Her nervous smile.

But most of all it’s just her. The feeling I get when she’s near me like this.

I chuckle to myself again, not believing how my morning has gone from one thing to another so quickly.

How soon it’s been from first seeing her that I want to do nothing but have her close to me, protect her.

Protect her from what? From myself?

“I guess you’re right,” I tell her, looking into her eyes now instead of her chest.

She’s still flushed, with her eyes wide and dilated. If I was anywhere else, any other time, I’d lean down and kiss her.

  But I can’t.

I need her to tell me that’s what she wants.

And me? Can I bring myself to telling her what I want, what I need?

Not within ten minutes of meeting someone.

  That never happens.

I lean back on the couch, watching her get up and start to go back to her duties. My dick feels like it’s about to explode, and watching her fine, heart shaped ass swishing in front of me as she walks away doesn’t help me out any.

She turns to look back, thinking I’ve said something.

But it’s just another low sound from somewhere deep inside me. The place where the animal is king and the world of men is just a cage.

“Why don’t you start with the vacuuming?” I suggest firmly. “I need to use the bathroom anyway,” I tell her, meaning it as my hand strays to my crotch.

I thought I could control myself, but if I don’t do something about this raging hardness myself, there’s no telling what might happen.

Glancing at the piles of folders and files, my laptop with its shitty internet connection, I hear the vacuum start up in the other room, making my own decision as to what to do next a lot easier.

  Fuck it!

Making sure I pass through to the bathroom when her back’s turned, I slip past her before closing the door, leaning back hard against it.

I’m sure I saw her eyes lift, looking at me in the mirror in the bedroom, a smile playing on her lips.

I swallow down hard, my mouth is so dry and my hands are actually shaking now as I fumble for my zipper.

The sound of her vacuuming will drown anything else out, I tell myself.

But I want to see her, I want to watch her as I palm fuck myself.

Turning quickly and opening the door just a fraction, I get a perfect view of her.

She’s moved, and I wonder if she’s done it on purpose.

She’s leaning over, facing away from me, vacuuming under the bed.

  Under the bed?

I hear myself moan as I watch her from behind, noting her blouse is loose in the reflection of her front in the floor to ceiling mirrors on the opposite wall.

She must have unbuttoned herself a little, or maybe it just came open with her movements.

Either way, I have a perfect view of her ass and heaving chest as it hangs forward as I imagine myself taking her from behind.

My fist hitting the edge of the door makes me realize I already have my cock out, frantically working it as I watch her, needing her to stay like that for just a little longer.

Next time, it’ll be inside you. I promise, Sophie. All of it just for you.

She shifts suddenly, lifting herself and turning to continue her work.

The thought that I’m here, frantically thrashing my cock just feet from her and she has no idea is about as much as I can take.

I wanted it to be different, but give myself a pass, like this is just letting off steam before I can claim her properly.

  If that’s what she wants.

I sure as hell know it’s what I want. What I need.

I manage to close the door just in time as she lifts her head, my own grunts and growls getting faster in time with my own pumping hand.

Gritting my teeth and throwing my head back, I can hear the sound of the vacuum getting nearer. The fresh memory of her chest bouncing forward as she shifts…

I can feel my balls rising up, the faint memory of what it even feels like to come flooding over my body with Sophie as the reason.

In the very instant I realize I can’t hold it any longer, I call out her name as my climax takes my whole body over, the sound of the vacuum has stopped.

The door is pushed open and.

  “Mr. Slade? Everything alri-?

It’s her, she’s burst in at the exact moment of my release. I can’t help but laugh out loud as I feel my cock twitch, thick ropes of everything I had intended for her splashing at her feet as she stands staring, dumbfounded.

Her eyes widen as she focuses on my cock, making my climax all the better. All that much stronger and more powerful for having her see it.

“You see what you do to me, Sophie? You see what you did?” I ask, still half-laughing, half-groaning as I struggle to keep upright; my legs starting to buckle under my weight.

The remnants of my climax still washing over me, she rushes over and I take her into my arms before carrying her to the bed. I have enough left to give her more, I can feel it already.

But in reality? In the seconds that follow her opening that door?

She covers her mouth, a confused look clouding her pretty face as she spins on her heel, dashing from the bedroom.

I hear the buzzing and then the heavy click of the door. Murmured voices.

  And she’s gone.

  Chapter Five

  Sophie

If I had any doubts about the looks Ben was giving me, about how he really felt about me. What I see when I open the bathroom door, what he tells me, it sends such a shiver right through me I feel like I’m about to burst on the spot.

He’s a big guy, and his huge frame fills most of that little bathroom, but his member though. I don’t think I’ll ever get the image out of my mind, thank G
od for that too.

He’s yanked his pants down just enough, giving me a perfect view of not just his massive, fat dick; but his powerfully strong legs too.

Even with the rest of his clothes on, I can see every muscle in his huge body tensing.

But hearing him growl my name like that, as he finishes. I’ve never been so turned on in my entire life, and I’m suddenly not sure exactly what my own body wants to do it’s all so new to me.

For some obscure reason, I watch myself as if I’ve left my body almost like I’m a step or two behind myself.

I turn on my heel and rush for the front door, pounding on that buzzer until the guard outside opens the door.

“Everything alright. Miss?” he asks, looking concerned, craning his neck to look past me into the room.

“Uh… I need towels, and linens… there’s nothing to make the bed with,” I hear myself stammering, watching the guard makes a face before he shrugs and moves aside, pulling the heavy door closed behind me.

“I’ll be here when you get back,” he murmurs, taking the seat by the door again, noisily rustling his newspaper. “Twelve hours of it today,” he observes, ignoring me and sounding more like he’s complaining to himself.

I feel like I’ve just made the biggest mistake of my life, turning my back on Benjamin Slade right when he’s telling me, hell. When he’s showing me just how he feels about me.

I stumble towards the elevators, making my way back down to the ground floor and groaning out loud as I pass through the huge front doors again.

Nobody tries to stop me, the place is like a vacant building.

But once I’m back out on the street, the sharp sound of the heavy glass doors snapping locked behind me tell me why.

Unless I have a passkey or am with someone who does, I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

I look up hopelessly feeling I might get a glimpse of Benjamin Slade watching me. But it’s just that.

  Hopeless.

The sudden sound of a car gets my attention, and the familiar dark car that brought me here swings around, pulling up right next to me.

I get in, and the driver glances at his watch for a moment but says nothing.

About fifteen minutes later, the car pulls up in front of my apartment building and drives off slowly only after I’ve gone inside.

I don’t even remember taking the stairs up to my own apartment, and once inside I’m yanking at my own clothes as I head for my own bathroom.

I feel like I’m possessed by that image like I’ll never get any peace until Ben Slade is buried deep inside me.

My God, can you hear yourself! What is wrong with you, Sophie?

It’s true, the effect the man has on me is incredible, always has been. Now I’ve come as close as a girl can get without actually doing anything with him, and instead of feeling like running was the right thing, I feel again that I’ve missed my only chance at not just Ben, but at happiness itself.

The warm water of the shower makes me jump, peppering my body like fingers.

Fingers I wish now had Ben Slade controlling them. I run my hands over my own body, something I never do, but thinking of him I just can’t help it.

I also can’t help but notice how aroused I still am, like it’s a curse now. Something that will never go away until I give myself to Ben.

As if that’s gonna happen now.

Switching warm to cold water, I finish showering and hope that will do the trick.

I have no idea how to pleasure myself and know that it wouldn’t be the same anyway.

The only hands I want on me are Ben’s. The only thing I want inside me is his huge, thick-

The phone ringing snaps my attention back from my latest fantasy, the one where Ben has me bent over his bed as he pounds me from behind, gripping my hips and telling me I’m the only thing that can make him come.

I walk over to my phone, expecting maybe a call from my dad, it’s been a while.

“Sophie? Partridge. Uh… What in the name of hell do you think you’re doing?” he asks angrily, making me cover my chest with my robe.

As if he can see me right now, even read my thoughts.

Does he know about what happened with Ben?

“Uh, what are you talking about?” I ask him, surprised at how annoyed I sound too, remembering that apart from not collecting my check, the room had no linen or towels either.

“I’m talking about you leaving the job without my say so. I figured you would’ve been there for a couple of hours at least, not just fifteen minutes,” he says, trying to regain his composure.

Fifteen minutes? It felt like a lifetime.

I clear my throat. “Well, Mr. Partridge. There are no linens to make the bed, no towels to refresh the bathroom, and no real instructions as to when I was supposed to leave anyway. The place is like a… like a-” I start to say.

“Like a what? Sophie? Say it,” he challenges me.

“It’s like a prison, but I’m sure even in prison they give you fresh sheets and a towel!” I snap, hearing the emotion in my voice, realizing it’s all for Ben.

Partridge sighs heavily. “Alright, alright. I messed up, Sophie. I’ll admit to that, but it’s your safety I’m worried about, to be honest. I shouldn’t have left either, but I was called away on other business. It’s not just my job to babysit Ben- Never mind,” he murmurs, stopping himself from saying what’s really on his mind.

“My safety?” I ask, suddenly feeling concerned again.

“I can’t go into the details with you, but people are protected in buildings like that one for a good reason. Lots of bad people want to hurt them, and it’s our job to keep them safe.”

I remember what Ben said about me going through his things, about the security in that place. He doesn’t even get any news from the outside world.

“Well,” I start to say, sounding indignant again. “I can only do my job with proper linens and towels, real cleaning supplies… and what are you feeding that poor man? Some real food is what he needs,” I add cuttingly.

Partridge sucks some air between his teeth. “I’ll get the linens sorted, the cleaning supplies you need… but remember what I said, Sophie? About asking questions or telling anybody anything? Your job is to clean, not to ask, or even talk to the man in that room about anything. Understand?”

I feel my head nodding, but I don’t answer.

“Good girl,” he says and tells me to be ready in ten minutes.

“I’ll send the car back over to collect you.”

I feel my eyes widen and my mouth go dry. “Now!” I exclaim, nowhere near ready for the idea of being so close to Ben Slade again.

I mean, what will I wear?

I should’ve washed my hair, at least.

“Ten minutes,” he says again. “We can talk on the way, go over the rules one more time.”

The line goes dead and I feel both panic and excitement, aroused and terrified, all at the same time.

Stifling a squeal, I rush to get ready, not for cleaning. Not for the check, I might get after all.

  But for Ben Slade.

The man I know now that I want to claim me for his own.

The man I know I want to give myself to. No matter what.

It’s ten minutes alright, like Partridge and his men run on cogs or something.

Same driver, different car, but I know now not to ask questions.

I settle into the back seat, where it’s just Partridge this time. He looks relieved to see me but puzzled.

“Little dolled up for cleaning ain’t ya?” he asks. “But thanks for coming back,” he says holding out my check. “This is yours. I’m sorry for any confusion on our part, it won’t happen again.”

I take it without looking, I know I should be relieved my life has a few extra zeros on the end for at least another few days anyway, but all I can think about is Ben.

“The uh, client you’re doing the maid service for,” he starts to say, looking out the window next to
me, arranging his thoughts.

“He’s a man who, well? Let’s just say he’s a man with a lot of enemies, and we don’t want those people to become your enemies either, understand, Sophie?”

I nod, but I know I’ll ask all my questions to the only man I trust in all this now, Ben.

  Chapter Six

  Ben

It takes some doing, but I finally get the guard to get me, Partridge, on the phone, demanding he bring Sophie back here, accusing him of negligence for not having anything to keep this place sanitary.

Partridge sighs. “I’ve got more on my plate than babysitting you, Slade,” he tells me, I can almost see his face twitching with satisfaction, knowing he’s winning somehow by keeping me here like this.

“Look Partridge, I dunno what you’ve got against me, but once I have a case and a district attorney I can trust with it, your name is either gonna come out of this smelling like roses or like the piece of shit you really are,” I snarl at him, trying to reel my anger back in, not wanting to blow my chances at him bringing Sophie back either.

He pauses, thinking for a while, “Alright, Slade, keep your nylons on straight. I’ll have the maid back soon enough, and all the things you need to feel pretty again,” he says with an intentional note of sarcasm.

“And some proper food too, Partridge. I need real food, not that muck you’ve been shoving under the door” I insist.

“Anything else, your majesty?” he drones, and I’m tempted again to remind him about how I want this to go once I can go public, but he preempts my current mood.

“Take it easy, Slade. None of this is easy on any of us. Remember? We’re trying to hide you from at least six of the nastiest family bosses, and that’s just in this city. Cut me some slack, eh?”

“Just get me the maid, the same maid, to clean this place up and a decent meal will ya?” I retort. “You can trust her, I know you can. I just feel it.”

Partridge scoffs out loud. “You better trust her, her old man’s chief of the only precinct game enough to stand up to those De Falco family thugs.”
