“Yes. It’s been too long.” Sitting down, Axel pulled her onto him. “Are you enjoying our adventures?”

“Yes, my prince. Everything we do is fun and incredible.” She leaned against him.

“You feel nice.” He cradled her in his arms and rubbed his hand over her bottom. “I want you.” Laying her down on the sofa, he was upon her, kissing her passionately.

“This sofa feels great, almost better than the bed.”

  “I like it too.”

Pushing her gown up and over her head, he gently removed it. His silk pants disappeared. Within seconds, he was inside her, fully seated. Axel pushed into her soft core. She moaned his name. They kissed, their tongues meeting, intersecting in an intimate dance. She rubbed his back, caressing his flexing muscles as he pounded into her. Her pussy constricted, pulsing around him.

“Breanna, you’re beautiful.” He slowed his pace, looking at her. Pushing her hair back, he studied her face. “I’ll try to always make you happy. I’m not like my mother or my father.”

“I never thought you were.” She caressed the side of his face.

“I just want to make sure you know.” He kissed her neck, and she turned her head, allowing him better access. “You taste good. I want to eat you up.” Pulling from her, he moved down her body. “You smell delicious.” He inhaled loudly as he kissed her inner thighs.

She tried to push him away, but he persisted, holding her in place. He kissed her soft mound, his tongue delving between her labia. She squealed, pushing at him again.

“Stop, you’re being naughty.” She wiggled under him.

“Doesn’t it feel good?” He looked up at her. His eyes glistened with lust. “What we do is only between us.”

“Yes, it feels good.” She giggled as he kissed his way up her stomach.

“There’s no sin in me kissing you all over. You’re mine. Every inch of you is mine.” Falling back on her, he shoved his penis into her again. With force, he pounded into her. “You’re mine.”

Breanna scratched his back with her nails as she clung to him. She was mindless with passion, moving her head side to side as her body pulsed with wild sensations. Axel’s eyes turned to their terrifying black, reminding her of his inhumanness. Unmoved by his daunting expression, Breanna kissed his neck and shoulders.

“I love you,” she whispered in his ear. He trembled as she spoke those words.

“I love you too, my lovely bride.” He kissed her mouth as he took her fiercely. All his previous gentleness faded. The entire sofa creaked under them as his hips moved against hers.

“Am I hurting you?” He paused.

She shook her head, holding him tighter. “You’re wonderful. You make me feel amazing.”

She closed her eyes as he resumed his movement, the glorious feeling fully swamping her senses. Shuddering, he lost his seed. He growled close to her ear. Stopping, he rested against her. His forehead on hers, he just looked at her.

Someone cleared their throat. “Axel, is this girl paying for her passage?”

Axel looked up, growling. Every time she thought she’d seen him at his worse he could look more frightening. Instantly, she was in the bed under the covers. He stood naked, confronting the other male.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Axel stomped toward the intruder. His black pants had returned to cover him.

“You’re slipping, brother. You didn’t hear me enter your portal. That’s very odd.”

Breanna peeked out to see the interaction. The other man looked very similar to Axel, and he had called him ‘brother’.

“I was busy.” Axel’s hands were on his hips. “No one dares come in here unless invited. I’ve not had any visitors for a while. Why are you here?” Axel groused at the man.

“I came to talk to you about our mother. I felt you were here as soon as you entered the portal. I need your help. Mother’s crying on my shoulder.”

“Leif, what do you want me to do?” Axel glared at him. “I sent her away.”

“I can’t stand it.” Leif shook his head, looking down. His feet were braced apart and his hands were on his hips. His eyes strayed to the bed. He nodded toward Breanna. “Axel, the girl was giving you an excellent ride. I want to know her too.” He grinned. “I’m lonely. A tumble would heal me for a good while.”

“Shut the hell up.” Axel clenched his fists. “She’s mine.” Axel stormed toward him, pushing him back against a chair.

The man sat down under the duress. Then he flashed behind Axel, holding his hands up in surrender. “Peace, my brother. I didn’t know you were mated.”

Axel turned to look at him.

“My apologies to you as well as your wife.” Leif nodded toward the bed. “I’m very sorry.” He winked at her.

“What do you want, Leif?” Axel seemed to grow in size.

“I want to be rid of Arta. She’s a pest. Father won’t talk to her. It’s crazy, driving me crazy. I thought mates were forever.” He shrugged. “You’re the oldest sibling, help us out here.”

“Mates aren’t forever for Arta Venrick. She’s broken the scared bond.” Axel ran his hand through his hair. “I think you need to go now. You’ve interrupted my time with my wife, and you’ve embarrassed her.”

  “Again, I’m sorry, brother.”

Axel huffed loudly as he paced the floor in front of Leif. “For most of my existence, I’ve been alone. But since I’ve mated the world’s bothering me at the most inopportune times.”

“I’m truly sorry. I didn’t know she was your mate. I’m lonely. I observed your passionate exchange, and my heart ached for the same.”

Axel stood for several moments staring at his brother. “We’re having our wedding soon. Chrisalannis will be sending all of my siblings invitations. Please attend. I’ll share with you how I found my lovely wife. She’s an exquisite woman. Sweet, innocent, so don’t disrespect her again.”

“Of course not.” Leif shook his head.

“Perhaps you can find a mate of your own. I know how it is to be lonely.” Axel relaxed his shoulders. “For now, I can’t help you. Visit me at my castle later, after the wedding. I’ve plans to spend this time with Breanna. Then I’m leaving her with the Duponts while I go back and help prepare for the ceremony. Loki and Icesykcus have special plans.”

“Very well, I’ll attend and bring gifts.” Leif turned and looked back toward the bed.

Breanna ducked under the covers, hiding her face.

“In fact, participate in my wedding with me. Father’s unavailable in his misery. In human custom, a groom has someone to stand with him. Our wedding’s going to be a mixture of human, troll, ice fey, and krevellian customs. I’d be honored for you, my closet sibling, to take a place beside me in the ceremony.”

“I’d love to. Please tell Breanna I’m not so bad.” He nodded toward the bed. “I like those dark-haired beauties. I promise to respect her as my sister. Or better.”

“You can tell her later. But I’m sure she heard you.” Axel grinned.

  “When is the wedding?”

“In fourteen days, during the full moon. It’s a double ceremony, Icesykcus Akvo is marrying Breanna’s mother.”

“I’ve heard an earful about Icesykcus. I’ll be there for sure.” Leif laughed. “Mother wants to stick an ice shard in his chest.”

“She already did, or at least she stole his heart.”

“Yes, that’s what I’ve heard. She’s a vixen of little conscience.”

“She’s our mother.” Axel shook his head.

“She is indeed.” Leif bowed at the waist and disappeared.

Axel sighed then climbed into bed with Breanna and kissed her shoulder. “I’m sorry, my love.”

“I’m okay.” She shrugged. “You’re leaving me at the Duponts? I didn’t know that.” She sat up in the bed. The bedding fell to her waist, exposing her breasts. She’d lost her modesty with him. Plus, she was riled. “I don’t want you to leave me there.” She pouted.

bsp; “You’ll have a great time with Celeste.” He smoothed her hair back from her face. “She loves to shop. She has the dressmakers at her disposal. It’ll be a truly enjoyable experience. At least it is for most women. Order a wedding dress, as well as one for your mother. Order as many dresses as you desire. There’s no limit.”

  “But—”

“Really, Breanna, I have something to work on, a surprise for you.” He caressed her back, playing with the ends of her hair. “If anything upsets you, you can ask the ring to bring you to me or me to you. Charles and Celeste know all about trolls and the supernatural, so you’re free to speak to Celeste. She’ll be a friend you can be comfortable with.” He smiled up at her. “If they desire I’ll take them to our wedding as well. I’ve trusted the Duponts for hundreds of years.”

“I’ll miss you,” she whined, playing with the sheets.

“I’ll miss you too. But whatever dresses you pick I’ll give you jewels to match them. Same for your mother’s wedding gown.”

“That’s very generous of you.” She kissed his cheek.

“No, my love, it’s very selfish, as I want to win you to me fully. I want your heart to soar with the thought of me.”

He sat up next to her and leaned in to kiss her lips. He pulled her back onto the bed. Fondling her breasts, his hand worked its way down between her thighs. Axel fingered her moist pussy, and she squeezed her legs together.

“Open for me, love. We weren’t done when we were interrupted. I want you.” He kissed her neck and shoulders. “Come.” He helped her move toward him. “Come ride me.”

While on his back, he helped her sit astride him. Breanna placed her hands on his shoulders. Gazing into his beautiful blue eyes, she kissed his lips.

“My heart does soar.” She gently pushed his hair back out of his face as she looked down at him. “You’re so handsome.”

He closed his eyes as if relishing the moment. “I’m nothing compared to you. Your beauty cannot be surpassed. You’re beautiful both inside and out.” His penis jutted up between them, pressing against her belly. Breanna rubbed the smooth hardness with her hand. It bounced in its rigidity. Axel groaned.

“Breanna,” he moaned. Gripping his cock with her hand, she pumped up and down. “Guide me into you. I need to be inside you.” He pulled her closer, pressing up against her.

Breanna positioned herself to allow him access. Raising her hips, she slid his stiffness into her tight channel. Panting as she impaled herself, her hands rested on his chest, and she closed her eyes, inhaling with satisfaction.

“You’re nice, so wet. I like that.” He squeezed her nipples.

  She squirmed, giggling. “It tickles.”

As soon as she was fully seated on his cock, she moved her hips, moving him in and out. Her arms shook as she held herself up over him. Her pussy made sucking sounds as she rode him, his cock sliding in and out with ease. Bending her head, she watched it work in and out of her slickness.

“It’s lovely.” She touched his wet cock at her opening, stroking it as it slid out of her.

Axel pulled her down, holding her closer, and his hips worked harder, plunging into her. “I want you.” He growled.

  “You have me.”

Axel rolled until she was underneath him. His huge body seemed greedy to take control, and he did. Her hands were on his shoulders as he looked down at her. Axel pounded against her, then his face tensed and he shuddered. Holding her tight, he kissed her all over her face and neck. “I love you.”

“I love you.” She hugged him.

Axel rolled off and lay next to her. “Let’s sleep, you’ve a lot of shopping to do, and I’ve a lot of magic to spend creating the most beautiful wedding ever. Loki is going to do the party afterward. But Ice, Chrisalannis, and I will be doing the wedding venue.”

“What are you doing?” She rested her head on her hand, gazing at him.

“My love, it is my secret.” He winked at her.

“We shouldn’t have secrets between us.” She rubbed his chest in a coaxing way.

“No, we shouldn’t. But if I tell you, it’ll ruin the surprise.” He touched her nose with his finger. “That would be a shame. So don’t be clever with me.” He ran his hand over her face. “Sleep now.”

Breanna rested back into the comfortable pillows and was soon asleep.

  Chapter 9

“Breanna, give me your hand. We’ll go through the portal to Dupont now.” Axel took Breanna’s hand. “You look like a princess.”

“Will they be offended by the color I’m wearing?”

“No, they dare not argue with me. After all, I’m the troll king of Iceland, and you’re my queen.” He grinned. “Our wedding will reinforce your status. Gods and goddesses will be attending. They will even be participating in our nuptials. These mortals dare not complain. Anyway, the Duponts aren’t the typical humans of this era.”

“Axel, this dress is glorious. I love the purple color.” She smiled, her heart beating hard in her chest with excitement. “All the dresses have been lovely. Every day’s an adventure to see what you’ll dress me in.” She touched it with admiration. “It glimmers all over. This dress is really made for a royal or a noble.” She frowned.

“You are. You’re mine. I’ve had kings bow down to me.” His eyes glimmered with pride.

Something now hung around her neck. He handed her a mirror. A gorgeous simple solitary diamond necklace hung around her neck. She had matching earrings too.

“I made those jewels, now they’re yours too. I’ve made many jewels I’ll give to you.”

“You’re so kind. They are so beautiful. I don’t feel worthy.”

“Of course you’re worthy. You’re my mate, and I want to shower you with beautiful things.” He kissed her cheek. “Ice bought a wedding ring from me. He was very pleased with it. Come, we’ll be leaving now. The Duponts have a horse and cart waiting to take us to their castle. Celeste has already requested the dressmakers and other merchants. They should be waiting for us.”

“How did you communicate with her?”

“A long time ago I gave the family a special handheld mirror. They’ve passed it down through the ages. I’ve spoken to her through the mirror. She’s very excited to help you with the dresses.”

“She’s not afraid of you talking to her through the mirror?”

“No, Celeste’s very progressive. She’s a brave woman and very interested in the supernatural world. She also wants to come to the wedding. I’ve never had them to my castle. But if you like them, I’m willing to allow them to attend. Chrisalannis is preparing the castle for all of our guests.”

Breanna followed him toward the rear of their portal apartment. “Is this Paris?”

“No, it’s not the Seine anymore. We’re outside Paris, on the Dupont’s land. This small creek crosses their land. See the trees on the bank?” He pointed. “Beyond the trees is farmland. This is rural.”

“Yes.” She looked behind her, over her shoulder. “Where did your apartment go?”

“My apartment is under the Pont de Norte Dame in Paris, but we’re not in Paris anymore.” He squeezed her hand, grinning at her. “Close your eyes. I’ll flash us to the top of the bridge, then we can travel to their castle.”

Horses neighed when they arrived. Opening her eyes, she saw two black horses tethered to the bridge’s railing with a cart harnessed to them. Axel helped her into the cart. A heavy, gray wool shawl covered her.

“Thank you, Axel. It is a bit chilly. This feels very warm.”

He smiled at her and patted her leg. “I thought so.”

“How will I understand them? I don’t speak French.”

“The portal’s magical, you’ll understand them, and they you. It’s one of the benefits of portal travel.”

They drove down the long, dirt drive, and as they turned a bend, the trees opened up to allow them to see a stone castle. It was smaller with fewer towers than Axel’s castle. It didn’t shine in the sun like the
supernatural white ice. Still, it was a castle with a curtain wall surrounding a bailey. In fact, it seemed somewhat depressed in appearance. The trees were almost bare, the grass brownish. Outside was bleak, the sky gray.

They crossed over a bridge which spanned a moat. When they passed through a large black iron gate, they entered a courtyard. As they reached the castle, the front entrance flew open. Huge double doors dwarfed a small, elegantly dressed woman. She was waving with a huge smile on her face. Lifting her skirts, she rushed down the steps followed by an equally well dressed man and several servants.

Immediately, happiness embraced Breanna. She was excited. I should have known Axel would have only chosen people who would make me feel at ease.

“Welcome, Axel.” The woman clapped her hands with excitement. “Welcome, Lady Venrick.” She stepped up to the side of the now stopped cart.

  “Call me Breanna.”

“Breanna, we’re happy to have you as our guests. The dressmakers, as well as merchants, have already arrived. More are coming.” The young, pretty woman was smiling brightly. “This is going to be great fun. I’m buying new dresses too for your wedding. Come, let’s break your fast and start having fun. I’m Celeste. Charles, help her down.” She motioned. “Hello, Axel. You look marvelous. Being in love suits you.”

“Yes, it does, Celeste. It suits me very well.” Axel winked at Breanna. “She makes me very happy. I trust you to make this time enjoyable for her. Money’s no object. Encourage her to buy whatever she desires.”

“Just what I love to hear.” Celeste grinned.

Axel leapt down from the cart. “Don’t worry, Charles, I’ll help her down.” He reached up to help Breanna. As soon as she was off the carriage, Celeste grabbed her hand, leading her up the wide, stone steps. They looked old, weathered.

“Hello, welcome to our home. I’m Charles Dupont, Celeste is my wife.” He motioned to the happy woman. “She has called in the very best for both of you to have an amazing adventure. And I’m going to stay out of your way.”

“Good to see you, Charles,” Axel said. “You’re looking good. I’ll cover the costs of your wife’s purchases too.”
