A New Millennium's Omega

Introduction to Stuart
A young man talked to his closest friend, another young man who had fallen in love the year prior.
His name is Stuart Bentley, and his friend's name is Tommy Ramses-Paulson. They had been friends for quite a long time in the past before Tommy first came to Brooks Creek to follow a particular wolf who charmed him back in Seattle.
Stuart sat at a table in a cozy coffee shop, Steamy Cups, sipping his friend's special brew— a pumpkin spice latte. Outside, the sky was cloudy, and a persistent breeze pushed trees and leaves around but did little more than that. They had been talking for a few hours already about town gossip and were both taken to the idea of Stuart moving down to the town semi-permanently.
Of course, Stuart had decided to come down to Brooks Creek for a rather severe reason. A full year prior, some nasty events took place, all centering around on the man he called his closest friend. Yet, ever since they had been resolved, Tommy did not actively speak of them. Instead, he preferred to exist in the present and look to the future, especially since he had a new bundle of joy.
He showed off this bundle of joy to Stuart the moment he came in, a little feral infant named Makayla.
Both agreed that Makayla was little more than a bean of squirming cuteness, a little wrinkle that was trying its best.
Watching Makayla in action, crying out to the world at some times, and laughing at their faces on others, filled Stuart with a sort of desperation. And here was the second branch of explanation for why he had come. No more than a week prior, he had entered heat, and it was the most overpowering heat he had ever felt in his life. He could scarcely sit down for longer than five minutes before his little cock trembled, while his anus was often lubricating itself for penetration that never came.
He even showed evidence of this to Tommy when they sat in private upstairs, though they had since come down to the ground floor lobby.
Makayla would reach out and wrap her tiny fingers around just one of Stuart's— and the man was reasonably compact as far as men go.
Feeling the touch of a baby, the result of love, made his heart yearn for someone he could call his own.
This desire had clashed somewhat with his desire to check up on Tommy. After all, Makayla had been born several months prior, and yet he hadn't heard much from him.
But the most notable thing about Tommy, he believed, was that Makayla was a Unicorn. This had baffled him all the same as seeing Tommy with Neil did all those months ago— what happened to Jonathan? All Tommy said was, "He's out of my life."
This always bemused Stuart because the last he saw of Tommy, he was head over heels for Jonathan and believed that he had found his soul mate. However, he did know something was wrong when Tommy was unable to bear a child with Jonathan, a classic sign that his Omega soul did not believe that he and Jonathan were actually compatible in some esoteric way.
Whatever drama unfolded, neither he nor Neil was willing to say, but he wanted to know in case it made the town seem any less compatible for an Omega.
Not that he was particularly concerned, as he knew the truth about Brooks Creek.
Everyone on the Coast knew that Brooks Creek was a hidden gem, a hotspot for Omegas where there were more gay bars and wet Omega boys holed up in one location than you could find in some entire states.
This made him excited to be there, as if he was coming to a carnival of love.
This was his shot to meet someone he could call his own, and by god was he going to take it.
And so, in his pocket, was enough money for a 21-day vacation. His plan: go to Brooks Creek, find a hunky Alpha, and come back home to Vancouver with a man.
The nightlife was the biggest draw. He had yet to see it himself, but Tommy had told him that Brooks Creek at night all but became a jewel-box, filled with the beautiful and horny. Down Lukas Street alone, there were three nightclubs and four swanky restaurants. They were all inviting places where Alphas and Betas would drop by to check out the local geography. When he was at his wettest, he planned on wearing his tightest clothes and only a little perfume, just enough to give him a sexy scent but keep his musk intact. Then, he'd strut through The Bluth, the more expensive place in town where the Alphas with big money would drop by.
It was a foolproof plan, and he hoped that it would pay off on the first try— but if it didn't, he had a few weeks before he had to return to his humdrum life north of the border.
Tommy could not give him tips because he had never had to swing around to catch his mate.
"But," as Stuart told him, "that's because you got so lucky. Most Omegas would love to have lived your life."
He chuckled and looked down, suddenly blanking. "Yeah... I don't know about that one."
Stuart
He changed the subject quickly, looking to Makayla and waving a rattle in front of her face while baby talking to her. To me, he said, "I do have a warnin' for you, though. Babies are cute. Cute! But they're nasty too."
"I'm prepared for that." He showed him my palms. "I'll be able to handle their number 2s! I already used to work with animals when I was a little kid."
He laughed and said, "Poop isn't the yuckiest part by far." He pointed to her little nose. It was so pale and small that I was amazed it was functional at all. What's more, she would sometimes wrinkle her nose like a kitten that made me wonder if she was really a Unicorn. And once I realized that Tommy had directed my attention to her nose, I realized what he was trying to say.
"Oh, are you sure?"
He did a really big nod. "Trust me. The first time a baby drops some of that slime on your hand, you're going to want to vomit. It's just so yucky." Then he shivered. "I wasn't even expecting that part."
"Wow, really?" I sipped some of his heavenly pumpkin spice.
The radio DJ talked about some local event going on in Donatello Park, and then a Creed song came on— something about being taken higher, complete with violins to complete the whole 'faux Christian rock' thing that was apparently becoming a thing.
God himself must not’ve been a fan because a bit of thunder rolled, and Makayla laughed.
"Oh, she likes that?"
"It's almost creepy how much she likes thunder." He laughed into his hand. "I heard that's more of a dragon thing, but Unicorns do it too." Then he pointed towards the stairs. "Neil loves rainy weather because of it."
"Huh, I never knew that."
Makayla kicked her pudgy feet all around and flopped from side to side while cooing and reaching for something that wasn't there.
"What's she doing now?"
"Oh, this is the cutest part." He lifted her and set her down on her feet while still holding onto her firmly. "She sees us walking everywhere and wants to do it herself, and she gets so frustrated that she can't do it too."
"Oh, that's just precious."
"She'll start walking someday."
"But she wants to start walking now."
I looked to the clock and watched it tick as the rest of the Creed song started finishing up. "She was born back in April, right?"
"Yep."
"And she's got a Unicorn spirit? Oh, honey, she's gonna be walking at eight months, at least."
Tommy did a cute dance with Makayla, tugging gently at her arms while she looked about the store. "That's the dream. You can't imagine how badly I want her to take her first full steps on January 1st."
I laughed at this and clapped. "That's how you do it!"
"Just so I can have eternal bragging rights that my baby was the first to walk in the new millennium."
I popped my lips, set my hands over my knee, and said, "Well, if you want to be technical, the new millennium isn't going to start until 2001."
"Whaaat? Really?"
"There is no year zero. It goes 1 to 1,000."
"Well, it's still the new millennium to me, and that's all that matters."
"What do you think is gonna happen?"
"Oh, I don't know. I just hope it's good. A nice place for M
akayla, especially because she's the one who's gonna grow up in it."
Then I asked, "Aren't you planning on having another baby too?"
He smiled. "Maybe."
"Let me guess. You wanted to have another baby on January 1st too, huh?" He brushed his finger against my head, letting me know I was right. It was too bad, in that case, that he had to give birth in May. We couldn't go back into heat for a few months afterward, so by the time he was able to make another baby, there was no way for that baby to make it to January 1st without being severely premature. And who would want to put a baby through such a thing if there wasn't a life-threatening reason for it?
"But then again, you said that the new millennium starts in 2001." He pressed his fingers together and looked around the room furtively. "Maybe if I time it right..."
"You know that baby's gonna know what you're up to and is gonna wanna come out until December 31st.
"We can fudge the birth certificate."
This made me laugh very hard. It was the way he said it— the delivery was so confident and direct, and he didn't waste any time to think of it.
Finally, the rain started really coming down, and we saw as the outdoors turned into a sheet of grey and blue.
Neil came downstairs and said, "Hey, Stewie! I've been meaning to ask: you wanna come to a Y2K party?"
"Why, you throwing one?"
"Some of my brothers from back in Washington state are."
Neil was a super-handsome lover boy. His shoulders were broad, and his voice wasn't just deep — it was thick. He had cut his hair since the last time I saw him, instead getting a more urbanite metro hairdo that flipped upwards at the front very slightly — no more grunge hair.
He was also not wearing a shirt, so we could both see those fantastic pectoral muscles. After all, why would he wear a shirt? It's his place, and no one else is here but us too, and we were both hungry to see some Neil meat.
I knew he worked at this place with one of his brothers, but I wanted to save that discussion for a bit later.
"We're going to head out to Donatello Park and join the party there." He set down a piece of paper on the counter and said, "If everything goes right, we'll have enough alcohol for the entire town for three days."
"You were talking about Zeke earlier," Tommy said. "You said he called about something?"
"Ah, yeah. One of my other brothers is coming down. He found a place to live here, so we'll have another Unicorn in our ranks soon enough."
My heart could've done a flip. Neil was already pretty hot, but the crazily lucky Tommy took him. Scott was also quite the looker, but a twinky boy named Jasper snagged him years ago.
At first, I thought that this 'Zeke' guy was the one coming down, and so I spent a few minutes imagining what he must've been like.
Neil said, "And if all the computers go crazy, then at least we can go out with a bang, right?'
We all laughed, and Neil went back upstairs. Truth be told, I didn't like thinking about that 'Y2K bug' thing. It seemed weird to me that changing a single number would cause the world to end, but everyone was getting in on the hype.
It was October 16th, so we had only about a month and a half to see if it would come true.
"Hey, look at this guy."
I looked at Tommy, who was pointing towards the front door and snickering. "He's kind of a hunk too."
And then I saw the face of a fucking god.
Every part of his face was in the right place, and he had some high and hard cheekbones. His hair was so perfectly cut, like an even better-groomed version of Neil. What's more, he was wearing the coolest suit I'd seen in some time. I couldn't tell you what made it better than any other typical business suit, other than that it was on his body.
The fresh blazer and black slacks and the white undershirt— oh, and the tie. Mwah. It was sexiness incarnate.
There was a perfect amount of stubble on his chin, too. I was like I was looking at some old Greek statue come to life and wear a business suit just for me.
"Whatcha think?" Tommy said, but his words faded in my ears. "Don't you think he's a handsome fellow?"
I kept staring. And soon, Tommy took notice and waved his hand in front of me.
"Oh. My. God. You're actually attracted to him, aren't you?"
I looked back and kept adoring him.
But what stilled my heart was when I saw he was looking at me too with the same sort of conviction I felt.
Tommy said, "What, you want me to let him in?" He waved to the man and said, "We're closed!"
I stood up and said, "I'll make him something. Just for him, you know? It wouldn't be kind to leave him standing out in the cold rain."
Then I saw that the same suit I had been adoring was, indeed, very well pressed and hanged beautifully off of his skin. It was still crisp and looked as if he had it dry-cleaned.
Which made me purse my lip.
It was raining like a waterfall, but he was completely dry.
And I wanted to tell this to Tommy, but I choked because I was too transfixed on his face. And that prominent, handsome chin of his too. I was about ready to throw up my hands and be done with everything just so I could throw myself into this Adonis who materialized before me. It was everything I had hoped I'd find in Brooks Creek already there for me, and I didn't have to do a damn thing!
Tommy walked to and unlocked the door, and then he said to the man, "May I help you? You look like you could use a drink."
He fastened his tie— the hottest thing I'd seen yet, and each little tug made me harder downstairs— and then said in a calm and crisp voice, "I'm just looking at the times, is all. All apologies."
That was a lie because he was looking right at me as he said it. Neither I nor Tommy nor that man himself believed a word of it.
I smiled and turned my head to show my profile to him. I had heard this was something you ought to do to someone you're attracted to because it can show off your best features at the best angle, and it was only because I was able to stop and think of anything at all that I remembered it in time.
As soon as he saw my turn, he also smiled and looked down. "Ah... I guess I ought to be heading home. It's really storming out here." Then he looked out to the parking lot and back to me. "I mean, unless you're going to open the store for one person."
Tommy shook his hips when he said, "Maybe we will."
From upstairs, Neil bellowed, "No customers!"
Tommy and I looked back, and my heart sunk.
"Oh well, sorry about that. The owner of the place doesn't like breaking the rules." He laughed, and so did the man. "You know, if we bend them for one person, we start bending them for everyone."
I was ready to bend the whole fucking door just to let him in. I needed him near me.
God, I needed him IN me.
Then I slapped my face and sat back down, shocked that I had lost my sensibility so easily like that. What was I saying? I needed a completely random stranger inside of me? Who knew what he was really like?
He said, "That's fine. You open tomorrow at 7:30?"
"Ostensibly. We usually don't get customers until 8, so that first half hour's pretty chillaxed."
"I bet it would be." He was still looking at me, so really, who was he fooling? No one! He wanted me too, and I wanted him. At some point, we were going to meet up again, so why beat around the bush! I got up and ran over.
"Hey! Hey, you. What's your name?"
He looked flustered for a second, only to then say with an unexpected oomph, "My name is Frederick Paulson."
"Cool name! I'm Tommy. That's my BFF, Stuart—" I waved for him, "And my sweetie-pie husband is upstairs."
"Would you like to get a coffee later, then? Maybe we can hang out some time!"
Tommy gawked at me with a big old smile, pressing his heart. "Oh stop! Don't harass the customers."
"No customers!"
Frederick said to me, "Yeah, that sounds fine."
"You know... I don't think I've s
een you around here. Where do you live?" Tommy tried tipping on his toes to look around Frederick's massive frame. "How did you even get here?"
He said, "I just moved here, actually. And I'm not even fully moved in. All my stuff's still in storage back up north. But this house I just bought still has all its furniture and appliances, so I figured I'd break myself in to see how I'd like it. It's a nice place, too, on the edge of town."
"Oh?" Tommy's voice had suddenly become hollow. "Where?"
"It's on Giverson Road. That big mansion with the castle tower?"
Suddenly, Tommy looked at me and then back at him. "Oh no, no, no, sir. That's not a good place to live."
Something buzzed, and Frederick pulled out a pager from his pocket. "Ah, I'm sorry, but I've got to get this. It's the house's seller." Then he pulled out his cellphone and readied to dial it. "I guess I'll be seeing you then?"
Tommy folded his arms and said, "I guess."
I waved at him, and he stepped out into the rain, finally becoming drenched. I noticed that he was walking as if going to his car, but there were no cars in the parking lot besides Neil's and mine.
Tommy pulled me back inside and said, "I don't like that guy."
I frowned. "What? Why? You just met him. He seems nice."
Then we looked back to the lot, and just like that, he was gone.
Frederick
I had to pull myself away from that before it got too messy. The way that the Tommy guy was acting didn't inspire any confidence, and I could tell I was no longer welcome. What made it so hard was that my Unicorn was hopping all around, trying to escape so that I could cuddle with that twinky Stuart boy. But that wouldn't have been very wise to do, especially out in public. What's more, I smelled a familiar scent in the Steamy Cup— my brother, Neil. I knew he worked here, but him not being there had taken me by surprise.
That's what really set me off more than anything. If his Omega husband wasn't going to recognize our similar scents, then it was best for me to leave as soon as possible. There were limits, after all, and I respected limits. And just like Tommy said, you can't bend the rules for someone or else you'll wind up bending them for everyone.
