His Desire Page 28

by Lizzie Lioness

Holden took a deep sigh and closed his eyes. “I didn’t think of that.” He leaned back on the couch and turned his head to me. “I can’t imagine my life without her, Isla. I can’t lose my girl.”

“Maybe she just needs more time to think everything through. It’s a lot to take in,” I replied.

  “What do I do?”

I took a deep breath and put my arms around Holden and pulled him in for a hug. “I wish I could take all of your pain away. I hate seeing you like this when you’re normally so happy. Give her the time she’s asked for and you can stay here as long as you need to.”

Holden held onto me tight. He’s been the very best friend I’ve ever had. I knew I could trust him and lean on him whenever I needed to. Having him stay at my place when he’s struggling was the least I could do after all the support he’d given me.

Holden pulled back from the hug. “She’s pregnant, Isla. I should be fucking happy with her. I should be celebrating, but I’m here trying to work out how to fix things.”

“I have faith that it will fix itself. You won’t be able to stay apart from each other for too long. I mean look at Kai and I. One day apart and we were both fucking lost. I can’t imagine the two of you wanting to be away from each other either.”

I brought my attention to Kai and he smiled at me before he spoke to Holden. “Isla’s right, bro. You guys have been together even longer than us. She’ll come around.”

“She thinks less of me after what I did,” Holden wept.

“After we all helped do, bro. The guy was a rapist who deserved what he got. She’ll understand especially now that she’s pregnant.”

“Do you regret what you did?” I asked Holden.

  “No, of course not. I just…I wish…”

“She was okay with it?” I whispered. He nodded. “That night wasn’t easy, no matter how satisfying it was to watch Jim get what he deserved. I can see why she would be upset by it.”

“I can’t believe she’s pregnant,” Holden breathed and ran his fingers through his hair. I smiled at him. “I’m gonna be a dad. I can’t believe it.”

  “Congratulations, man.” Kai grinned.

“Thanks, bro.” Holden brought his attention to me and his tears were no longer streaking down his face. “I’m sorry to bring my shit here,” He apologized.

“Don’t be sorry. It’s what I’m here for.”

“I can’t wait to be a dad,” he beamed.

Holden told me that he’s always wanted kids. Something we’ve had in common. “You’re going to be an amazing dad, Holden. You’ll do anything to protect your kids. That’s what will separate you from those fucked up people that raised me. I know you’ll love the little peanut more than anything.” He chuckled lightly and a smile lit up his face. “I love you, Holden. I’ll always be here for you.”

  “I love you too, Isla.”

The three of us chatted about Daisy and my family until we were completely and utterly exhausted. I took some sheets from the linen closet, set them up on the couch for Holden to sleep on and Kai and I went to the bedroom.

“Do you think he’ll be okay?”

I turned to Kai and watched him get undressed. My eyes were glued to every part of his exposed feature. “I…um. I think. Wait. What was the question?

Kai grinned and shook his head. “I’m asking about Holden.” He laid down on the bed, opened up the blanket before he tapped the spot next to his.

“I hope so. He deserves to be happy. He’s right. He should be celebrating and not worrying about this, but I can see how it would freak Daisy. She just needs time.”

Kai wrapped his arm around my body and pulled me closer to him. “You know I love you, right?”

I smiled warmly. “I love you too. More than you’ll ever realize.”

“I couldn’t stand being away from you. I feel bad for Holden. I know how he’s feeling right now. God, I never want to fight with you again.”

I placed my hand on his cheek, brought my lips to his, and brushed them sweetly against mine. My mouth slightly opened and his tongue found its way inside. Kai’s hand moved down to my waist as we deepened the kiss. I tried to catch the breath he stole when he finally pulled away.

  “Are kids something you want?”

I smiled and nodded. “Yes. One day I would love to have at least two. What about you?”

“I’m definitely a family man. I’ve grown up with the best parents and brother. I couldn’t live without them…or you.”

I nuzzled into his chest and Kai kisses the tip of my head. “I can’t live without you either, Kai. I know it’ll kill me.” As soon as the words were released from my lips, I knew I meant them. When our eyes locked in place that night on the bridge, I was sure that part of me fell in love with him, even back then. I mean is that possible? To love someone the moment you see them. I felt something. The spark I thought was lost resurfaced at that exact moment I landed on top of him. The moment he saved me.

“Let’s not go through that again,” he whispered.

“I don’t plan on it but I can’t lie saying I don’t worry with the line of work you do. I’d never ask you to change, I just worry.”

“Comes with the territory. Just know that whatever I’m doing, you are the only thing on my mind. I closed my eyes and rested my head against his chest.

  “Night, babe.”

  “Goodnight, beautiful.”

I jolted from my sleep when my phone started to ring. Moving away from Kai’s comfort, I answered my cell only to find Daisy crying on the other end. She asked me to come by to talk, so I quickly got changed, grabbed a notepad and pen from the drawer to leave a message to Kai.

Quietly, I tip-toed into the lounge room to not wake up Holden. God, I hope she’s okay. After I made my way to the car, I frantically got in and drove to see Daisy. The trip was quick, and because of the time of night, the traffic was bearable.

When Daisy opened the door, I saw her puffed and red eyes. She’d been crying. The first thing I did was pull her into a hug, and as I was holding her, my eyes roamed to the couch where Ally was sitting with a drink in her hand.

“What the hell?” I pulled back from the hug and stepped inside. “Ally, what are you doing here?”

She looked at me and smiled. “Daisy called me over to talk.”

I turned my attention to Daisy, who had an apologetic expression on her face. “I’m sorry I called you, hun.”

“Don’t be sorry. Ever. Are you okay?” I rubbed my stomach in circular motions and smiled at her.

She nodded her head. “Everything is fine, and Ally knows.”

I pulled her in for a hug and she wrapped her arms around me tight. “Everything will be okay, Daisy. I promise.”

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I can’t believe I kicked him out,” she wept.

Pulling back, I cupped her face in my hands. “He loves you more than anything. He’s never loved anyone as much as he loves you.”

  “I know,” Daisy quickly nodded.

After I dropped my hands, I brought my attention to Ally. “Hey.”

  “Hey,” she grinned.

I sat down next to her on the couch and Daisy strolled over before sitting next to me. “So what’s going on?” I asked Ally.

“She called me in a panic. I was in the middle of…um…working. I came as soon as she called. I was this close to calling Holden, but she begged me not to. All she told me was that she was pregnant.”

“That’s all she said to you?” I narrowed my eyes before I turned to Daisy. “Did you tell Ally what was on your mind?”

She shook her head and took a deep breath. Her eyes began to swell again. “So, Holden came to see you?” She asked.

I nodded. “Yes, he’s sleeping on our couch right now.”

“She won’t tell me anything,” Ally interjected.

Ally may be a killer, a ruthless one at that, but I could see the sincerity in her expression when it came to things she cares about, and I
knew she cared about Holden and Daisy.

“I’m sorry I dragged you too, Ally. I’m just confused. I don’t know what to think after what Holden confessed to me,” she whispered.

“What are you-oh, Holden told you about what I do and what we did to Jim.” Daisy nodded. “Shit,” Ally muttered.

“I can’t see you that way. I mean look at you, Ally. You’re beautiful, caring, and thoughtful. How is it that you kill people for a living?”

Ally smiled at her, stood up, and sat down next to Daisy. “I do what I have to do. I kill when I need to and, on the occasion, when someone really pisses me off. Most of the time they deserve it, but when it comes to people I actually give a fuck about, I would die protecting them. Yes, I can be ruthless when I need to be and that surprises a lot of people. If they fuck with me, they’ll regret it,” Ally continued. “There’s something sweet and beautiful about you and Holden that I didn’t want to pull away from. I want you to know that you have a protector looking out for the three of you no matter what. I will kill anyone that hurts either of you or your child. They will know my wrath. It’s what I did with Jim. He deserved to die. In fact, he deserved much more than what we did. You’re pregnant now. Think about your baby. What if someone did to your bub what Isla’s kidnappers did to her? Would you sit back and let the justice system do its thing? Which going by history, has failed too many fucking people. Or would you want someone like me, working in the background righting the wrong?”

Daisy thought for a moment. She took a deep breath and nodded. “I guess I would want them to suffer too.”

Ally smiled. “And I’ll be the one making them fucking suffer. I’m sorry I lied to you about who I was. Don’t blame Holden, he was trying to protect you as well.” Ally pulled Daisy in for a hug.

  “Thank you Ally,” whispered Daisy.

“You’re welcome, beautiful,” Ally replied. “Now don’t get me wrong, I may be sweet, but I’m insatiable. Anytime you guys want to relive that threesome, just give me a call. I’ll be over in a fucking flash,” she chuckled.

I couldn’t help but smile, but it was definitely the right time to change the subject. “Daisy. You’re pregnant.”

“I’m so fucking happy,” she grinned.

“Believe me, Holden is too. He misses you.”

“I miss him too. What is wrong with me?”

“Nothing. It would have been hard hearing what we all did. Your reaction is normal. I don’t want you thinking any less of me or him after what happened with that asshole. Honestly, I wanted that bastard dead for years. He deserved what he got and more. I was so scared when he pulled me over.” I brought my attention to Ally. “I was glad you were there.”

“I’m sorry he had the chance to hit you. We only just got to you in time.” Ally’s attention was brought to her phone when it started to ring. After a very heated discussion, she hung up looked over to Daisy and I. “Some people are idiots.”

“How long have you known Romeo and Rosa for?” I asked Ally.

“Oh, God. Rosa.” Ally closed her eyes and there was a slight bite of her lip. When she opened up her eyes she smiled. “Sorry. My mind went somewhere else for a moment. So, I had heard of Romeo before and then he found a girl who he fell in love with, and I don’t blame him really.”

  “You like her?”

She smiled again. “There is something unbelievably sexy about a strong person. Man or woman. It’s fucking hot. Rosa ticks all of the boxes for me. The only thing is Romeo would have my head on a stick if he caught me looking at her the wrong way.”

  “So, you’re bi?”

She nodded. “If you’re on my radar and I get in the mood, you’ll know about it.” She turned to Daisy and they smiled at each other.

“Well that’s my cue to leave.” I turned to Daisy. “Do you want me to tell Holden to come here when I see him?”

Daisy nodded. “Thank you. I love you, Isla.”

“I love you too,” she grinned.

“You know in all of my time, I’ve never done a threesome with two girls before,” Ally flirted. Daisy and I turned to her. “Just a thought, not an invitation,” she chuckled.

We couldn’t help but laugh. “I’ll wake him up as soon as I get home, Daisy.”

When I arrived home, Holden was soundly asleep on the couch. I woke him up, told him that Daisy wanted to see him, and that Ally was there also.

“Ally’s there? Shit. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.”

“I actually think it’s a good thing. You need to get changed quicker. They might start without you,” I chuckled.

Holden got changed and ran out of the apartment, leaving Kai and I alone together. I headed into the bedroom, got undressed and quietly slid back in bed. Kai was still asleep. After I removed the blanket off him, I lowered myself down his body, slid his boxers off, and threw them to the side. I took his cock in my hand, which was big, but not hard. After slowly working my tongue around the tip and shaft, his cock grew in size and got hard. Kai stirred in bed. I placed my mouth over his cock and slowly started sucking him. I fucking love waking him up like this.

Kai let out a moan just before he completely woke up and looked down at me. “Fuck, baby!”

My mouth moved up and down on his shaft, and my tongue was tasting every inch. He grabbed my head, pushed me further down, and I felt his cock at the back of my throat. “Mmmm,” I moaned.

He let go and I brought my head up for air before I placed him in my mouth again. I continued to please him until he started to pulsate his release in my mouth. “Fuck! Oh, God!”

After I swallowed every drop, I climbed on top of him. “I missed you, Kai Storm.”

He smiled at me but it soon faltered. “Move in with me.”

  The Edge

I caught my breath and gazed into Kai’s eyes to see if there was any hint of him joking.

  “What?”

“Move in with me baby,” he repeated.

I got off him and sat up completely. “Are you serious?”

“Please. I can’t be without you. I’m in love with everything about you. I know we haven’t been together for long, but we’re with each other every night.” Kai’s eyes were piercing into mine.

I smiled and nodded. ‘Yes, baby. Let’s move in together.”

Kai beamed and pulled me on top of him. Our lips crashed together and his hands moved down to my waist. When we broke the kiss, our foreheads were resting on each other. “I love you, Kai.”

  “I love you too, Isla.”

  “Isla, wake up.”

I stirred in bed and my eyes fluttered open. My smile faltered when I noticed the panicked expression on his face. “What’s wrong?”

“Look, baby. I thought my assignment was done, but I have to go undercover again.” Wide awake, I sat up and placed my back against the bedframe. Kai had moved in with me and we’d been living together for a few months.

  “What?”

“I have to go, Isla,” he whispered.

“You’re leaving me?” My heart was racing and my hands were dripping with sweat.

“Baby, I swear. I don’t want to but I have no choice.”

“How long will you be gone for?” I took the blanket and put it over my body when a sudden chill ran beneath my skin.

Kai didn’t answer right away. “I…I don’t know. I can’t give you a definite answer.” My head lowered and I brought my knees up to my chest. He took my chin in his hand and lifted my head up again. “I love you. Please remember that. I’ll try to get in contact with you if it’s safe.”

I nodded and crawled on top of Kai, wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. My lips pressed against his so I could taste him before he walked out of my life for God knew how long. I kissed him with so much passion and conviction. As if it were our last kiss. My mouth opened up to invite his tongue inside and my body moved over his.

  “Arghhh,” Kai growled.

  “Mmmm,”
I moaned.

He broke the kiss and cupped my face with his hands. “You always do this to me, you know?”

“Please, baby,” I begged. “I need you.” I rocked my hips against his cock. Kai rested his forehead on mine.

“I have to go,” he whispered.

“Please don’t leave me,” I wept.

Kai’s eyes swelled with tears. I lowered my voice to a whisper. “I need you to make love to me, Kai. I beg you.”

There’s no way he would leave me. Not when he knows how bad I want him.

“Isla, you’re fucking killing me here.”

I bit my lip and took the hem of my top in my hands, pulled it over and threw it on the floor. Kai’s eyes never left mine until I took off my bra, leaving my breasts exposed.

“Fuck it!” Kai grabbed the back of my neck and pulled me into a dominant kiss. I was willing to bend to his will and do anything he asked me to.

When Kai pulled away, he brought his mouth to my neck and bit down hard before sucking and soothing the flesh. He lifts his head and started to kiss me again, and an involuntary moan escaped my lips. “Mmmm.”

Kai pulled back looking at me intensely. “Tell me you’ll always be mine.” I bit my lip and when I don’t respond, he firmly asked me again. “Tell me!”

“I’ll always be yours,” I replied.

“Tell me how much you love me,” he begged.

“I love you more than anything, Kai.”

He swallowed hard. “Tell me that you’ll wait for me.”

My eyes narrowed at him. “What?”

“Tell me, that you’ll wait for me. No matter how long I’ll be gone for, tell me that you’ll be here when I get back,” he croaked.”

Instead of answering him, I pulled him in for another kiss. One that told him everything I was feeling. About how he made me feel. My lips were swollen by the time he pulled away. There was something about the way he looked at me, that made me feel he was hiding something. He knew more than what he was letting on, but I dare didn’t ask. It would kill me if the news wasn’t good.
