  Avanda’s Magic

  Thorik’s Log: July 23rd of the 650th year.

  An assassination attempt has been made upon my life, and my understanding is there will be more. The Southwind Matriarch has ordered my death for crimes against her. I was lucky to survive this first attempt with only minor injuries, but Bryus lost an entire arm. I fear that we will not make it past the Squalid Water as we seek safety beyond them in the Chuttle Fields. The next four nights will be sleepless until we pass this waterway. It’s imperative that we survive, for I must deliver critical knowledge to Ambrosius, which I obtained from Della Estovia. All will be lost if this information falls into the wrong hands.
