Rachael shut her eyes and held her breath. Gently, Banjo’s fingers stroked her lower back and spine. Breathing slowly, she sighed as his scent wrapped her up in a strong wall.
Though his fingers were hard, his touch was as soft as wool. As minutes ticked by, a thousand caresses flooded her spine with a new longing. Beneath the table, her legs trembled, and inside her bra, her breasts grew heavier.
“Okay,” she breathed harshly. “Stop!”
As if Banjo did not understand her command, he carried on stroking her back lightly.
Tension gripped her belly and her lips shut up tight, swallowing her gripe. Nothing had ever felt so good, or so right.
“Close your eyes and relax,” Banjo spoke softly near her lips.
All she had to do was turn an inch and her lips would salute his mouth.

Dear Reader,
When Rachael Johnson moves with her problems from Savannah, Georgia to Fontvieille in Monaco, she thinks she has found a peaceful resort to hide away from every emotional tie. All she must do is work at the local centre until she sorts out her mess.
Only her mess becomes more difficult to handle when Banjo Ricci slams into her right on her doorstep. It takes everything she has not to touch his sexy, tattooed chest and abs.
But she must not succumb to his charms because there are health problems she cannot share with him, no matter how much she wants to kiss his lips.
You will have to read “You’re Mine” to find out if Rachael and Banjo find a way to each other’s heart.

One
“Gosh!” Rachael shrieked as she slammed against a solid wall of heated flesh just as she opened the front door.
Except the gorgeous human wall sporting short, curly dark hair who blocked the early morning sunrays from pouring into the portico had no shirt on his partly tattooed body.
Wow! Blinking a couple of times with her mouth still open, Rachael clutched her protruding belly. At her eye level, she saw marvellously moulded, tanned chest, peaked dark nipples, tattoos, so sexy she wanted to roll her fingers along every ink mark, and his made-to-measure abs left her throat instantly dry.
On a serious note, was there no law banning a six foot, hunky man from showing off his iconic six pack, muscled chest and gun-toting arms in front of her? In the two years she had lived with her auntie in the detached house in Fontvieille, no man had burst through the door. Maybe this middle-of-June visitor just got washed in via the Mediterranean Sea.
“Did I hurt you?” asked the guest sporting low-hanging olive-green shorts and a pair of black Jordan Super Fly Slides on his feet.
Taking in a deep breath, Rachael filled her lungs with the scent of his attractive cologne. Almost swooning at his feet, she slowly raised up her head and gasped as recognition dawned on her.
“Banjo?” she mimed in awe. Could this be the man in the many framed photographs scattered all over the grey and white painted house? That is, Banjo without the extensive fine-art tattoos, dark stubble covering his angular jaw, breath-taking cologne and a carefree air about him.
“Yes? It’s Adebanjo Bettino Ricci,” he drawled lazily as if she was a fan wasting his precious time asking for an autograph. A distinctive Italian accent was evident when he pronounced his names, otherwise he sounded British. There was no trace of his mom’s Nigerian ethnic background in his speech.
Just as quickly as her excitement kicked off, it thawed. Squaring her chin at his unfriendly tone, Rachael stifled the initial eagerness still welling up in her gut. “I’m not exactly hurt,” she assured him without a smile.
“I’m sorry. I had no idea my mum had a house guest. And who are you?” His dark eyebrows arched in a way she found discourteous.
I’m not a house guest, Rachael almost sneered, ignoring Banjo’s openly admiring stare. In fact, his dark brown eyes scanned her boobies leisurely as if he mentally wanted to know her bra size. Carrying on, his eyes moved on to her swollen belly, narrowing with far too much interest. Although she refused to cower before his open gaze, she instantly recognized the look--craving. Many men yearn for women with big boobies, she thought.
To Rachael’s shock, her body lit up inside as if Banjo had touched her with his fingers. Swallowing the tiny lump lodged in her throat, she craned her neck to look up at him. Banjo was a tall man. Not just tall, but overwhelming, with wide, beefy shoulders, legs that stood as firm as a carved rock, a square jaw and a nose that made a statement–big, but shapely. Any woman would feel safe in his arms.
Thankfully, she had no reason to want to run into any man’s arms for safety, least of all Banjo’s. Just too big-headed, was her first impression of him.
“What’s your name?” Banjo repeated with his lips curled at the corners.
Impatient was another way to describe his attitude.
“Rachael Louise Johnson from Tybee Island or Savannah Beach, Georgia. I’m the housekeeper. I should say it’s a pleasure to meet you. But I would be lying.” Avoiding his eyes, she shrugged. “So, I will say, welcome home. Your mom’s in the conservatory and I’m on my way out. Have fun in Monaco.”
Rachael paused to take in a deep breath. Yes, she had definitely cut him to size with that remark. Even though they had just met, the man acted as if she had to fall at his elegant feet. Indeed, he had long feet graced with clean and trimmed toenails. But then, nothing was more repulsive than a man with questionable personal hygiene. Obviously, Banjo took great care with his looks.
“The feeling is mutual,” Banjo snapped, squelching Rachael's roving thoughts.
Brushing past him, Rachael swayed her hips, assuming Banjo, like most men would turn around and give her backside an unhurried peek. Her pale blue, bodycon midi-dress pinned her body in such a way Banjo would be able to make out her white thongs if he looked closely.
Too bad for him. She had enough problems of her own without worrying about Banjo’s opinion of her figure. When she arrived in Monaco two years ago from Georgia, she came along with her health problems. But the switch in continents gave her the freedom to cut off emotional ties with her very first ex, Tannon King.
There was no way she wanted anything to do with Adebanjo Ricci. It would have been better if she had not met him. The fun way Auntie Tinu spoke about her son and the many cheeky-smiling photos of him decorating the house revealed nothing of his annoying attitude.
Staring at the disappearing backside of his mum’s African American housekeeper, Banjo rubbed one hand over his curly hair. A disturbing notion flashed through his head for a few seconds. He grinned because he would not dare voice his thoughts.
Not once in their many phone conversations in the last two years had his mum mentioned she’d employed a feisty, brown-skinned Amazon Warrior to keep his home tidy. Firing Rachael on the spot occurred to him. The woman was too outspoken to keep her job if he had any say in it.
Shaking off Rachael’s intrusive first impression, Ban
jo dumped his bag on the mahogany sideboard in the dining area. One look around revealed everything was as he remembered it except there were more colourful decorations--orange vases and tea-light holders, red and orange cushions and blue framed photographs. Maybe the Amazonian woman added the splashes of colour. Just like his mum, he preferred neutral hues except of course for his clothes.
Heading towards the contemporary kitchen, Banjo made his way to the alfresco area overlooking the blue sea in the distance.
“Banjo!” his mum squealed when she caught sight of him, a huge smile on her pretty face. “Oh, gracious Lord!” Tinu Ricci launched out of her recliner, throwing her laptop on to the table.
