Family Can Be Murder

“Too bad.”
“Besides, he’s considering coming up here.”

“Is this even legal?”
“Our job is to defend our client to the best of our ability. Not only that, but for as much money as she’s paying us, our job is to make sure she gets exactly what she wants.”
“But to frame an innocent person?”
“How long have you been with this firm? You know the kind of things we have to do sometimes. Our only concern is to get Judith and Ashley Finch acquitted of this murder charge. All we need is enough reasonable doubt and like it or not, the jury will have no choice but to acquit them. It’s up to the district attorney to decide if there’s enough evidence for a case against anyone else. That’s not our concern. Now if you don’t think you can handle that, then you can leave. I can find a dozen lawyers who will jump at the chance to replace you.”
“No. No problem. I’m just…making sure.”
William Bradley stared at the junior lawyer taking up part of the space in his richly appointed office. The man was only a small cog in his team of lawyers he would bring to the table for Judith Finch. But if he fired the man, there was too much chance of him going somewhere else to spread malicious gossip. “Get started on digging through the precedents. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us.”

Vahram was happy. Baghdad had contacted him. They were sending help. Five new men to help with the plan he had proposed. Five wasn’t nearly enough, but it would have to do. Five men to carry out a plot that he hoped would become the blueprint for many more attacks throughout the United States. But what Baghdad didn’t know, was that when those five men came, their first mission was going to be to finally eliminate Jennifer!

“Jenni Finch?” the receptionist called quietly as she smiled directly at Jenni. “The doctor will see you now.”
Shirley squeezed Jenni’s hand for luck and support. Instead of Jenni travelling for an hour on the busses, she had driven her directly to the doctor’s office. She was glad to do it.
Jenni stood up. She looked back at Shirley for a moment, and smiled. This was something she had waited for her whole life. She and Shirley had discussed all the different gender psychiatrists in the area, and together, they had finally narrowed it down to this one. Doctor Sheila Martin. They had both been surprised to see that many of the gender doctors in the area were women. That didn’t bother Jenni at all. In fact, she was pleased by it.
Confidently, she strode into the doctor’s office where the receptionist closed the door behind her. “Hi, Doctor Martin? My name is Jenni Finch. And just so you know, I spell Jenni with an i. And in case you didn’t already know it, I’m a woman.”

Six weeks later…
In the middle of the night, in the freezing windy weather, five men dressed as fishermen got off of one boat and climbed onto another boat in the middle of Lake Superior. It was the second time they had changed boats since they first set out from Canada very early that morning. This boat, like the others, was another fishing boat. This boat though was supposed to take them as far as Marquette, Michigan, where they would pick up different transportation.
The five men were finding it hard to comprehend that such a big body of water was a lake. To them, it was easily as large as the ocean they had secretly crossed just a week ago. Not only had they seen no sight of land since they had departed, but the other boats they had seen had mostly been very large ships. An ocean indeed!
The five men however had no knowledge of an event that was taking place just then at their ultimate destination of Gainesville, Florida, fifteen hundred miles further south. How could they know? Nobody knew. Except the one person who picked up the wrench.

It was going to be the largest distribution center in Florida. The corporation building the facility was very anxious for it to be finished as soon as possible. To do that, they had hired many workers and crews from all over the state. Teams of construction workers, electricians, plumbers, painters, everything to get the new center up and running as quickly as possible. Most of the center was a huge vast warehouse space, but part of it was three stories of offices.
On the second floor of the office area, back in the women’s bathroom, one of the night crew plumbers was finishing up the plumbing connections there. The rest of the men from his plumbing company were scattered all around the building.
The pipe wrench was the perfect tool for a plumber. Adjustable and large enough to handle most jobs. Heavy duty enough to seal any leak. The large adjustable teeth could grip and hold the pipes and fittings tightly, and the more pressure you applied, the tighter they gripped. Most plumbers carried an assortment of the pipe wrenches. They were one of the most commonly used tools of their trade.
The man working in the women’s bathroom had his head under one of the sinks, using his wrench to connect the water fittings. He heard someone come in but paid no further attention. He was busy just then. The connections finally completed, he scooted his body out to a sitting position on the floor. He was surprised to see the man who was standing there watching him. “What are you doing here?”
The answer he got didn’t come in the form of words. The man quickly swung the large pipe wrench, bringing it down straight on top of his head, breaking his skull and killing him. A few minutes later, the man put the wrench back in the same tool box he had taken it from.
Yes, the wrench was the perfect tool for a plumber. Or a killer.

Jenni’s mother and father had abused her and beaten her over the issue her entire life, to the point where Jenni really wanted to see them both, and especially her father, in prison.
And then that magical day came when Jenni’s father was accused of murder, and the strangest thing occurred – the police asked Jenni to investigate – to prove her father was guilty. But investigating that murder was the least of Jenni’s problems as the terrorists came back looking for vengeance. And so did someone else, seeking a worse vengeance – her grandmother.

Evil was a world unto itself. A difficult drowning pit of black slime that was impossible to climb out of. I hadn’t fallen into that pit. I had jumped with both feet. Willingly. Embracing it fully. I didn’t know then that trifles like happiness and beauty would be lost to me. I’d had no idea. I only knew that evil was the best course for me, and I went. Willingly. Forever.
Born into an enormously wealthy family, where wealth can cover up almost anything, David was diagnosed as being transgendered when he was only three years old. Cinder
For as long as he could remember, his father had always threatened him with the phrase, “I’ll burn you to a cinder, and then step on you and crush you out!” And then one day when he was fourteen, his father did just that. He ran from the house in absolute agony, and he never went back. Living on the streets of New York City, he learned to survive on his own. Until two years later, six people were murdered right in front of him, two of them hookers that were his best friends. And his life changed forever.
This book is full of action, suspense, and mystery – all wrapped around the smartest…and dumbest kid you’ve ever met. This is a story about a kid who loves New York and loves his freedom to literally walk the entire island of Manhattan at will. But he is a kid plagued with problems. Problems that only grow worse as the story progresses. Problems from too many people who suddenly want him dead. And all that is on top of another little problem. He was born with a birth defect. He was a girl…with the wrong body.

The McComber Switch
To the world, the story began with this: “Welcome to northern Arkansas. This is the story of a family that lives here. It’s a story about courage and stress, love and hatred. It’s a story about Four Musketeers. A story about boys and men who love hunting more than life. A story about an extended family that cares for each other with a passion that is almost furious. Yet it is also a story about a family that is stressed to the limits with no conceivable way out. And finally, this is the story of two young twins with the courage and determination to do what nobody wants them to do.”
To the world, that is the official way this story began. The truth however was something far different!
This is the story of an eleven year old boy and an eleven year old girl. Twins! One who refuses to do what he’s supposed to do, and one who refuses to stop doing what she’s not supposed to do. And so the family, at their wits end, decide to enact a punishment that most would consider criminal. A punishment that would literally put the twins through hell in order to change their minds and get them to see the light. Yet it is a punishment of the twin’s own design. One that the twins themselves asked for – in writing. The boy would become the girl, and the girl would become the boy. The twins just thought that nobody would ever go along with it.
Everyone hated the idea, but no one had a better plan for dealing with the problem. Everyone was sure that the plan would work. And everyone was wrong!
