“Why—”
“Because you always eat a whole order yourself.”
He winced. “I thought you didn’t like them.”
“How can I? You inhale them the moment we get home.”
He grinned at her. “You’re feisty tonight.”
“Wait till the hotel,” she said.
They exited the banquet hall hand in hand.
