“Thank you, Daddy. I love you so much,” she said and hugged his neck tightly.
“I love you too, baby girl. I’ll find Carla and one of them girls from the spa. I know they got all that fancy makeup stuff in their trunk; if not, I’ll send someone to pick you up something. This is your day,” he declared and stood.
He kissed his wife, and she gave him a comforting nod. Then he left. Several moments later, the ladies were back, and Clara had worked her magic on the gown. The glam squad touched up her face. Although her nose was a bit swollen, she still made a beautiful bride. Martha and William both walked their daughter down the aisle, and after all the photos were taken, Madison and Chase took time away from their reception to talk to the police. Even after the events that went down before the wedding, Madison and Chase held it together and managed to have a great wedding and reception.
After some tough debate, Chase’s and Madison’s parents both convinced them to go on their honeymoon. They assured the couple that they would exhaust every effort to make sure Hope didn’t walk and also make sure no bail was granted. Hope’s family was just as wealthy as Chase’s, and since she was a flight risk, the judge she went before was tough and denied bail for her. There was nothing the Gardeners could do to get their darling daughter out of jail. She would have to stay until the trial date, and the Storms and Atkins would pay any amount to any firm to assure Hope Gardener paid for what she did.
After one year of waiting for a trial, Hope went before a jury of her peers and was found guilty of attempted murder. She was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole in ten years, the maximum in the state of Texas, and both families made a vow that they’d be at every parole hearing to make sure Hope never walked free again.
Not even three months after they were married, Chase and his wife conceived and gave birth to a little girl they named Nakia as Madison promised, and a year later, they had another little girl and named her Deena. There was always a healthy competition between her two best friends, but they all got along. Chase never once missed his single days and loved being a husband and father, and Madison was so happy in love. She agreed to give Chase another baby, and he finally got a son who they named Chase Junior. Chase Senior vowed that he’d make sure that his son never mimicked his old ways.
Madison and Chase lived the rest of their days in marital bliss.
