Witching You a Merry Christmas

Miles squeezed my hand. “New memories.”

“Here.” I offered him my half eaten pie. Maybe I shouldn’t have. He might not want my germs.

But he winked at me. “Sharing is caring, right?”

“Mmmm.” There were other things I wanted to share with him, and I wished we were alone so I could take him in my arms.

He took a bite of the tiny pie. “That’s not bad. Very sweet and kinda heavy but perfect for this weather.”

Fred returned from his outing, and Arlo and family made to leave. But as we stood in the doorway, Hugo glanced at the decorations his mate had put up the previous day. “Look.”

Miles and I peered upward. “Is that…?” I asked. No! I couldn’t believe Arlo had done that! “…mistletoe?”

“Well, go on,” Arlo smirked. “You can’t ignore tradition.”

I thought back to our last kiss when we’d been alone. Now we had an audience and I had a sneaking suspicion Arlo did that on purpose.

“Ummm, maybe later.” I shuffled my feet.

“No. You have to do it now or you’ll have ten years of bad luck,” Arlo instructed.

“You made that up,” Hugo observed.

His mate stamped the spell checker’s foot. Arlo’s definitely worse than Rosemary at matchmaking.

  “Go on,” Arlo urged.

“He’s right, Charlie,” Miles agreed. “We can’t buck tradition.”

How do I do this? My breath was all alcohol fumes and pastry. What if I have a raisin stuck in my teeth? I drew him closer. My hands were trembling. I placed one on either side of his face. His hazel eyes with the tiny gold flecks gazed at me unblinking. What if I bump his nose? Or his glasses? Or scratch him with my stubble?

I was out of practice. But as soon as my lips touched his, I was right where I wanted to be. Softness and sweetness combined as my mouth pressed on the omega’s. There was a gasp from Arlo but I ignored him. The outside world swirled around and cocooned us as I closed my eyes and was swept along on a wave of affection, desire and love.

Inhaling Miles’ aroma, the oakiness of the sherry and the sweetness from the mince pies, I slid my tongue over his lips and savored a sprinkling of the powdered sugar. I was tempted to probe between his lips but pulled away.

Miles’ glasses were fogged. I wanted to look into his eyes and witness what lay in the depths. But he removed his glasses. The tenderness, passion and something else glimmering in those stunning green eyes had cold shivers creeping over my body.

“Hi.” It was a stupid thing to say, but it was as though we were meeting for the first time.

  “Hi, Charlie.”

Now what do I say? Was that good for you? No. I’d heard that corny line in the movies and I cringed each time. “Ummm.” That’s worse. Miles was usually the one to fill in the silences and blanks but he wasn’t saying anything. Instead, he was tugging on his ear and inspecting the mistletoe. Say something, Charlie. “So, ummm.” The universe’s collective groan at my pathetic response echoed in my head.

“Arlo.” One word was all Miles managed to get out.

Either my kiss was so bad he’d been stunned into silence or it was the best thing that’d ever happened to him. I wish I knew which. There was a third choice. He didn’t care either way and was trying to get me out of the house.

A fluttering of wings outside the window caught my attention. Gerald! He was giving me a thumbs up—or a bat’s version of it—as he flapped one wing. “You can do this, Charlie.” His thoughts were loud and clear. Okay, here goes. “That was nice.” My toes curled, and I held my breath waiting for Miles to say something.

  He grinned. “Yeah. It was.”

Now what? “I’d like to do it again some time.”

  “I’d like that too.”

I remembered Arlo and family. But they had left and the door was closed. “They’ve gone.”

“Oh, yeah.” Miles’ glazed eyes had me wondering if he was ill, but he reached out and brushed his fingers over my chest.

I needed to sort out my jumbled emotions. “Can we do this again tomorrow evening?”

  “Yes, please.”

I glanced up at the mistletoe. “I think we should leave that where it is.”

“I agree.” His voice had a dream-like quality about it.

Did my kiss do that? “Should I bring anything?”

“Just you.” He trailed his fingers over my jaw.

“I’ll see you after work tomorrow.”

“Don’t be late.” He stood at the door and we waved until I tripped over a garden gnome, who was slurring his words and stank of stale beer, and landed face first on the hard ground.

  December Twelfth: Miles

Calista asked me if I was okay as I sat staring at a list of figures on the computer screen. I shook my head and told her I hadn’t had much sleep. She raised a brow but said nothing.

I went to the bathroom and flung water on my face. Keep it together, Miles. It was just a kiss. One kiss. One amazing freaking kiss that almost had me collapsing.

My heart was pumping so hard when Charlie’s lips were on mine, I expected my ribs to snap. Pop. Pop. Pop. Could hearts do that? Not sure, but a wizard’s kiss almost did. My wizard’s kiss.

He’d called us family last night. Hugo. Arlo. Poppy. And me. Family. After my omega mom died and I became estranged from my alpha father, I was lost, so when I met Jason, I was hungering for affection. Intimacy. Family. But my dreams had been dashed by my former mate’s addiction.

While I missed sex, I was looking for friendship, someone with whom I could share secrets, giggle over silly sitcoms, and make dinner. And Charlie had fallen into my life. A wounded warrior. My helping him soothed my own hurts and his breakthroughs lightened my heart.

But I reminded myself not to use the warlock’s successes to mask what I had experienced. Though I carried the past with me, Vale Valley had mended me, and there was a flicker of light on the horizon. More like a forest fire.

I picked up food and tore home. But I skidded over the path leading to my door. Charlie was sitting on the steps, a cheesy grin on his face. He held up cartons of take out.

“Snap!” Both of us. Together. At the same time.

“I’m starving.” He grinned and licked around his lips.

Though it was freezing outside, I fanned my cheeks. I’m going to combust. The food was still warm, thanks to the Valley’s magic, and we put it on the kitchen table and picked at bits from each cardboard container. But while I shoved mouthfuls of yumminess between my lips, I didn’t taste it.

My eyes never left Charlie’s face. He slurped on spicy noodles, and as one long noodle slithered and disappeared between his lips, I whimpered.

“I’ll remember next time. Less chili,” he murmured with a full mouth.

“Mmmm.” He hadn’t noticed I wasn’t eating noodles.

  “Had enough?”

  No. I want more. “Yeah.”

Charlie’s eyes flicked to the mistletoe. “I was thinking we could try that kissing thing again.” He hesitated. “If you want.”

I leaned over the table and grabbed the wizard’s sweater and pulled him closer. I inhaled chili, ginger and basil. “Our kiss was amazing. No one has ever made my body ache like that.”

His eyes grew wide. “Is that a good thing? Aching?”

I ran a finger over his greasy lips, and then popped it in my mouth. I savored the mingled flavors from the food and the wizard. Spicy and sweet combined and overwhelmed my senses. No, they’re blowing my freaking mind! “Better than that. Fantastic!”

“I want to ask you something.” Charlie’s expression was odd. I couldn’t decide if he was turned on or off. “I’m hoping you’ll agree.”

Oh God, just spit it out, Charlie. “You have to ask me before I say anything.”

“Okay.” He gripped the edge of the table. ”I’d like to take you to bed.”

“And fuck me senseless? Yes, please.” Finally!

&
nbsp; “Miles!”

“What? You wanna do other things? Watch TV? Play a board game? Do a crossword?”

He narrowed his eyes. “By sleeping with me, you have to trust me. And I you. But it’s important that this is what you want.”

I raced around to the other side of the table. “Charlie, I’d allow you to hold my life in your hands.”

“Let’s hope it never comes to that.” He took my hand and kissed it. His mouth moved over my sleeve. “Too many clothes.”

“I agree.” I whipped off my sweater and ripped apart the buttons on my shirt and flung it away.

“Much better.” His mouth was on my wrist, licking and kissing, and tingles were shooting up and down my spine. He made his way to my shoulder and nibbled the skin before nuzzling at my throat.

I groaned and he fell back. “Don’t stop.”

But he pulled away, took my hand and led me to the bedroom. He removed my glasses and with fingers on my jeans, his eyes never left my face as he undid the button and slowly lowered the zipper.

Instead of yanking my pants down, he placed his mouth on one nipple. My body trembled as his tongue flicked the stiff point. I pushed my hips forward and pressed them against his arousal. “Mmmm. That’s nice.”

My head fell back, and I moaned. Charlie’s teeth replaced his tongue and they closed around the hard nipple. He really is a wizard. I’d never experienced anything like the heated desire that pulsed through me. “Charlie?” I could hardly get the word out. This wizard had befuddled me.

“Mmmm,” he murmured as he trailed kisses over my jaw.

“You’re not using magic, are you?”

He pulled away and rested his head on my brow. “This is you and me, Miles. I would never allow something else to come between us.”

“Then get back to it ‘cause you’re freaking amazing.”

He smirked. “Why thank you, kind sir.”

He was as good as his word and when nibbling on my ear, my pulse raced. I hoped I’d survive but if I didn’t, this’d be an okay way to die. While he performed miracles with his mouth and tongue, his hands were working my jeans over my hips.

I was hard, ready and waiting and I guided the wizard’s hand to my dick. My butt was coated with slick, and the pungent aroma hovered over us and combined with Charlie’s fragrance.

But as he glanced downward at the swelling between my legs, his gaze went to my hip. “Your tattoo.” His finger traced over the words entwined in an eternity symbol. “You’ll be with me wherever I go.”

The wizard’s eyes caught my gaze but I put a hand over his lips. “For my parents.” Even though my alpha dad was alive, we weren’t in contact, but I had happy memories of my growing up years.

He rubbed his bristly chin over my cheek. “It’s beautiful.” He brushed his palm on my cock and placed his lips on my ear, which had my knees wobbling, before yanking the briefs to my thighs. “Mmmm.” He nipped the soft part of my ear as I draped my arms round his neck and nuzzled his throat.

Charlie dropped to his knees and pulled my jeans and underwear to my ankles. My length rose up to greet him and he skimmed his tongue over the tip and captured droplets of pre-cum.

“Oh, God.” Molten waves of pleasure blistered through me as my sexy wizard performed his own special magic on my dick.

Fingers of arousal clawed at me, whispered in my ear, and demanded my attention as Charlie wrapped his fingers around the base of my length and lapped over the shaft. My knees gave way and I placed a hand on the mattress behind me as ripples of pleasure surged through my body.

I moaned when he withdrew and one of his hands gripped my bare ass and pulled me closer, allowing him to swallow my dick. With his mouth clamped around my arousal, his tongue paid attention to the tip. It lapped, swirled and licked the head, while I whimpered and mumbled, “Charlie. Charlie. Charlie!”

His hand left my ass and cupped my balls, giving them a gentle squeeze. A raging lust consumed me and blocked out any thoughts other than Charlie’s mouth giving me exquisite pleasure.

I raked my nails over his scalp and he moaned, sending a charge of excitement rippling from my cock to every part of my body. He ignited a fire in my belly and flames sizzled over my skin as the scent of sex, sweat and slick filled my nostrils.

With his curled fingers rubbing over my shaft and his tongue performing sorcery on the tip, the bedroom and the rest of the word vanished and it was Charlie and me. Alone and yet together. His mouth on my flesh, his teeth grazing my erection, his fingers on my hardness, and his hand squeezing my balls had barbs of pleasure spiking over me.

My breath became shallow, and I gulped mouthfuls of oxygen. Involuntary spasms had my body twitching as an invisible hand gripped my insides. I tossed my head back and arched my back as wave after wave of passion surged though my veins and claimed me. “Yes! Charlie, Yes!”

  December Thirteenth: Charlie

I swallowed everything Miles had given me. I would have taken more. Anything he offered, I would have accepted.

After placing him on the bed, I ripped off his jeans and briefs, puddled around his ankles, and covered him with the patchwork quilt. His eyes were closed and I slid into bed and took him in my arms.

Having lived for over a hundred years, I wasn’t as experienced as some of my wizarding friends in the ways of intimacy. But coming together with Miles to give him pleasure came naturally as though we were meant to be. But I shouldn’t get my hopes up. I thought back to him talking about wanting kids. I had to bring the issue up at some point.

Lying in the bed, watching Miles sleep as the hours passed, I was at peace. The ticking of the clock in the kitchen recorded the seconds and minutes as if mimicking my years on earth.

But the omega had given me his time and affection and now I had to look after him. Support him and listen when he wanted to speak about his past.

The clock struck three, and Miles stirred. He stretched and ran his fingers over my chest. A lamp in the corner gave out a dim glow as the omega sat up and clutched my sweater. “Why do you have your clothes on and what time is it?” He yawned and pushed his hair out of his eyes.

It hadn’t occurred to me to get undressed.

“Well, I’m waiting.” The omega crossed his arms.

  “It’s 3a.m.,” I informed him.

  “You let me sleep?”

“What was I supposed to do?”

“Charlie, you’re adorable. But I want you to get naked. And make it fast.”

I tore off my clothes but left my boxers on. Shyness overcame me and Miles took over. “Let me,” he said. He shimmied the underwear over my hips, and his mouth gaped. “Wow! And I mean double wow! Or perhaps triple. You’re enormous, Charlie. Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Did you expect me to hang a sign on the fence saying, ‘Beware of the Big Dick’?”

He wriggled his ass and grinned. “It has a certain ring to it.” After tossing away the boxers, he gazed at my cock as it stood straight and tall. He licked along my happy trail, stuck his tongue in my belly button and continued over my chest and throat until he reached my chin. He rubbed his cheek against my scruff and whispered, “Been wanting to do that since forever.”

  “I’m available any time.”

“Might take you up on that,” he quipped, and the smirk that crossed his face had my heart and stomach doing flip flops. I needed to see this man, look into his eyes as my cock possessed him, so I raised my knees and held out my hand. Miles’ eyes grew wide. “Me on top?”

Perhaps we shouldn’t. Not for our first time. “We don’t have to if it’s not okay.”

Desire burned in his hazel eyes. “I want to.” He straddled me and got on his knees. My dick was as anxious as I was and reared its head and stroked the omega’s ass as he hovered above me.

Now the moment had arrived when my cock was going to plunge inside Miles, I hesitated. What if I wasn’t as skilled as that no good ex?

  “Charlie,” Miles pan
ted. “I can see your thoughts. They’re visible in your expression. I’m with you ‘cause I want to be. The past doesn’t exist in here.”

I took a deep breath. In and out. In and out. After gripping the base of my cock, I placed a hand on Miles’ hip. Our eyes locked, and with a sharp rush of air escaping from his lips, he sunk onto me.

  “Holy freaking crap!” he shouted.

I wanted to yell the same but held my tongue, waiting to find out if that was good crap or bad crap. It was definitely good for me. My length was buried inside him. He was tight and warm and wet.

Miles gripped his knees at my side and squeezed. “You are fucking huge, Charlie. You’re blowing me away. I didn’t think you’d fit but oh my God, I love your dick!”

Guess that’s a ringing endorsement. I puffed out my chest before remembering to exhale. My cock was standing straight and tall. There was no need to guide it so I put both hands on Miles’ hips. “Ready?”

“Yeah.” He rose up, and with all the weight on his knees, sank onto me again. His eyes filled with tears and his bottom lip trembled.

“What’s wrong?” Please tell me I haven’t hurt him.

“Nothing. These are happy tears.” He hauled himself up again and there was a glint in his hazel eyes. He lowered his ass, taking in half of my length. And paused. And squeezed.

A primitive urge took hold of me but I stifled it. We had to do this his way. “You’re a tease,” I panted.

  “You like it.”

  “No.”

“Liar.” He slammed onto me, and we both moaned. I closed my eyes and took in tiny, squeaky breaths, unable to believe I was inside this man. A charge of excitement ripped through my body, shredded my emotions. Me and Miles. Miles and me. Our bodies fused. Joined. United.

The omega gasped and leaned against my knees. A single droplet of sweat fell from his brow. I watched as if in slow motion as it splattered onto my skin.
