Reign of Rebels: A High School Bully Romance (Bad Boy Royals of Kingsbury Prep Book 6) Page 3

by Rachel Angel

I looked over at Ricky. Besides wanting to be King, what did Jordan want the Kingmaker’s powers for? I needed to find out.

What about Helen? Did she know I was the Kingmaker?

She convinced Lily to help me apply for Kingsbury Prep, knowing I had the grades, stellar academic records, the achievements, extracurricular activities, and even the perfect story to get in as the first commoner to enter the all royals school.

She also steered Lily to notice there was a fight at the Underground Fight Network for about the amount I needed to start everything rolling so I could buy back my parents’ company 3 Kings Technology. Lily was the one who told me about the fight.

And Lily helped me come up with the name and profile for Tempest Storm.

We were down and out after we lost our parents and was kicked out of our own home by the man who took over 3 Kings Technologies. We had nowhere to go. All I had was a bicycle that I used to earn some money running errands. Then I got a job cleaning and helping maintenance the martial arts gym for some pay and for additional training from the kung fu master there. Going to the martial arts gym one day, I noticed the trailer park with the Gulfstream trailer for sale. Across from Helen’s own trailer park.

The Gulfstream was perfect for Lily and me, and with some savings, we were able to afford it…a place of our own.

The little old lady who instantly became like a grandmother to us seemed too good to be true.

And she knew about 3 Kings Technology’s secret apartment where Lily and I moved to…

She was also dating our family friend and attorney who had access to all of our family files, 3 Kings Technology information, and knowledge.

But most importantly, she was taking care of Lily, and I had just signed her on as a guardian for Lily when I was in San Francisco.

  My heart sank.

  Who was Helen?

  Chapter 4

  Tempest

I glanced over at Ricky, signaling for him to make a distraction. I needed to get to Lily, to get her away from Helen so I could find out more about Helen.

Jordan’s phone rang, and he immediately picked up, walking away from us to talk in private.

I saw Ricky’s hand in his pants’ pocket. He winked at me, and mouthed, “Go!”

I ran out the hallway with Ricky right behind me. We ran toward the kitchen and found the staff cowering under tables.

They looked frightened. I looked around trying to see if there was an imminent danger within the room. I was also watching the eyes of the kitchen staff, waiting to see if they would signal where a gunman would be waiting.

No one was trying to signal me any warnings.

“Come on,” I said to them. “It’s okay to leave.”

“We heard gun shots,” one of the assistants said.

“I’ll go check it out,” Ricky said running ahead of me to the door. He stuck his head out quickly and back in, before stating, “Clear.”

One by one, I grabbed a kitchen staff member and had them run out the kitchen door outside to the backyard patio and gardens. The last one was out the door with Ricky following him right behind when Jordan’s head pop into the kitchen.

I immediately crouched down to the ground, hoping he wouldn’t see me. I had to leave. I had to get to Lily to make sure she was safe. I had to find out who Helen really was. I had to find out what being Kingmaker meant and the power that came with it, before I get pulled further into someone else’s plans for me…especially Jordan’s.

I quickly pulled out my phone and texted Ricky to lead the kitchen staff safely out to town. I would join him later as soon as I could.

If not, then please contact my sister Lily to see where she was.

Right as I hit send, Jordan’s hand pulled me up from where I was crouched.

“Tempest baby, what are you doing down there?”

“I dropped my earrings,” I said. “I got hungry and came to the kitchen to get something to eat, but dropped my earrings. They’re my favorite, too. But I couldn’t find them.”

Jordan smiled at me, putting his palm to my cheeks. “I will buy you a new pair. What were they? Diamonds? Gold? Rubies?” He caressed my cheeks. “You would shine in anything. Such beautiful porcelain skin, almost translucent like glass. Yet here’s your rosy cheeks, flushed like when you’ve just had an orgasm.” He leaned in and growled into my ears, “I want to keep your cheeks glowing all the time. Flushed from the orgasms I give you every day. God, Tempest. I’m so hard for you right now.”

He took my hand and rubbed it against the front of his pants. He was rock hard.

Then he unzipped his pants, pulling out his dick. It was throbbing, full, big, and gorgeous. “My my my,” I gushed. “What do you have there?”

“My big bad wolf wanting to enter your granny’s house, babe,” Jordan growled.

“Make it quick,” I bit my bottom lip, then licked it.

Jordan groaned and said, “You’re too sexy to believe, Tempest.” He lifted me by my waist and wrapped my legs around his waist before he plunged in deep, moving in and out of me in a frenzy until we both climaxed.

“Was that quick enough for you?” Jordan asked.

  “Maybe,” I said.

“Since it was quick, maybe we can add a second?” Jordan’s eyes were twinkling and full of mischief.

He turned me around, bent me over, and plunged into me, rocking me forward, while grabbing my breasts in his hands.

In no time, we climaxed together.

Afterwards, he held me tight against his chest. “You don’t know what you do to me,” he said. “I wanted a Kingmaker, but I fell in love with the girl. I love you, Tempest.” He kissed me on the lips before kissing me on my eyelids, cheeks, nose, and then my lips.

“So you want me not just for being a Kingmaker?” I asked.

“I want all of you,” Jordan said.

“What if you’re wrong, and I’m not the Kingmaker?” I asked.

“I’m not wrong, Tempest. You are the Kingmaker.”

  “But what if?”

“I will still love you, Tempest.”

  “Really?” I asked.

“Really. No woman has ever affected me so much. I’ve never wanted anyone as much as I want you.”

“You’re just saying that,” I said.

“No, I meant everything I’ve said to you, Tempest.”

He looked down at his phone, which was ringing. “Fuck,” he said. “What is it now?”

“What’s going on?” I asked Jordan.

Jordan’s face went pale, and he started trembling.

  “Jordan?” I asked.

“Shit. Not now. Not now,” Jordan said.

“What is it, Jordan?” I asked.

  He didn’t answer.

  Then a minute went by.

I finally took the phone out of his hand and looked at it.

ROYAL PHYSICIAN TO THE KING: Your father, the King, has fallen into a coma.

“I’m so sorry, Jordan,” I said, going over to him to hug him. “Is there anything I can do?”

Jordan’s arms tighten around me as I snuggled in closer. “There is…”

  “What is it?” I asked.

“Marry me,” Jordan said. “It will stop the Civil War that will break out once the people find out the reigning King is no longer able to rule.”

I pulled back. “The King was in bad shape for a while, wasn’t he?” I asked.

“Yes,” Jordan said, wearily. “He was bedridden for two years.”

“But I thought he and the Queen had been on their way to the Kingsbury Birthday Bash last year.”

“Were on the way, but they didn’t show up, did they?” Jordan asked. “Our public relations team handled every event and every correspondence very discreetly. No one knew the King was nearly incapacitated. The country had to go on.”

  “Kaz didn’t know,” I said.

“No,” Jordan said. “He didn’t. The King wanted to keep Kaz out of it. Kaz was kept at Kingsbury to be
protected. It was a promise I had made to our father when we were boys…when Kaz almost drowned in the ocean when I didn’t watch out for him.”

“So now that the King is in a coma…”

“It’s a matter of time when the news will leak out. When he was bedridden, he was still able to make broadcast speeches, had phone calls, give orders and run the country. But now…either Kaz or I will have to step in.”

“So why should I marry you?” I asked.

“To stop the Civil War from happening,” Jordan said. “The people will accept whoever the Kingmaker chooses this time. Kaz was the crown prince but not because he was the rightful heir, but because he was the King’s favorite child. The people want someone else. You’ve seen how unpopular he was with the townspeople. They nearly killed him and his friends by stoning them.”

I didn’t disagree with Jordan on that. I saw the K3’s wounds myself and treated them.

“Because of his unpopularity with the people, it’s better not to have Kaz as King. The people want a King who will understand and take care of them. Kaz can’t even take care of himself.”

“So you want to become King?” I asked. “Do you think you would be a better King?”

Jordan looked directly into my eyes and said, “Who do you think have been running the country when my father became ill and bedridden but didn’t want anyone outside, including and especially, his own ministers to know?”

  “You,” I said.

“Yes,” Jordan said. “For a couple of years now, behind the scenes, so to speak. There was no one else whom my father truly trusted.”

“Kaz didn’t even know,” I said.

“No, even now my father and Kaz’s mother coddles him like a baby, protecting him from dealing with everyday life by hiding him out in this sanctuary known as Kingsbury Academy. It’s fine when you’re a child, but not when you have to become a man. And run a country.”

“So you don’t like the idea of Kingsbury Prep?” I asked.

“I like how high the education level is, and that it is a very good environment for younger royals, but I think there has to be some change. For instance,” he touched my hair, “non-royals should be given a chance to study and enroll here, too. Like you. Without being bullied almost to death, without being made inferior.”

“You wouldn’t shut down Kingsbury Prep?” I asked.

“No, Baby,” Jordan said. “I know how much it means to you. I know your legacy as the Kingmaker is tied to this place. I’ll just continue doing what the faculty and administrators wanted to do in the first place…open the doors to non-royals so the royals can be exposed to what real life is like, not sheltered. Starting my own business from the ground up like the Underground Fighting Network, without any royal backing and not being the crown prince had opened my eyes to what is needed to rule a country in the modern age. We don’t have prime ministers who actually manage the country. The King and his ministers actually manage the country. He or she should truly know how to manage, to lead, and not just look pretty.”

“Oh, so you have to have a brain?” I asked, teasing Jordan.

“Yes, or you can have a very smart, wise, and charismatic wife by your side who you could trust to help you make important decisions…one who truly understand what the people want because she is of the people,” Jordan said, looking at me. “I want to marry you because you’re all that, not just because you’re the Kingmaker, too.”

“Jordan,” I said realizing how serious he was about marrying me, “I’m not looking to get married anytime soon. I’m still in school…”

“It doesn’t matter you’re still in school, Tempest. You’re the one I want. You’re worth waiting for,” he kissed me. “If you care about Kingsbury and Arcadia, you would know that I would care for Kingsbury and Arcadia too…because I love you. I would care about anything you care about, too.”

  At that, my heart melted.

I didn’t trust Jordan at first, but it was also because Kaz didn’t trust him. Now as the Kingmaker, I needed to look at both sides, both princes equally so I could make the best decision.

“Jordan,” I said, “You almost had me saying yes but I need some time. It’s a big decision, and I need to think about it.”

I also needed to find out what being a Kingmaker is about, whether my dream about being Violet and what she said about the Kingmaker not being able to marry a King or a Prince was true.

“Of course,” Jordan said, “take your time. I wasn’t expecting to get married right away too, but I want you to know how serious I am about you. I’m crazy about you. I want to take care of you, take care of all your needs, make love to you everyday, help you with 3 Kings Technology, help you raise Lily.”

“Oh Jordan,” I said, wrapping my arms around his neck, “You seem to know what a girl wants.”

“I’m hoping to know what this girl wants,” Jordan said, kissing me.

  I kissed him back.

“Careful,” Jordan said huskily. “We might not be able to do anything else today if we keep this up.”

  “Having sex?” I asked.

“Yes,” he groaned, already reaching down to finger fuck me.

“Oh, that’s so good,” I moaned as his fingers touched all the right spots including my already aroused g-spot. It didn’t take long for me to climax into his hand, all over his fingers.

Jordan smiled wickedly at me before reaching up to put his fingers into my mouth, making me taste myself. He licked the rest of me off his fingers, before he kissed my lips. “I could eat you all day, but I get the feeling you were trying to get out of Kaz’s house earlier to go do what you had to do.”

  “You know that?” I asked.

“Of course,” Jordan said. “You still didn’t trust me. And you shouldn’t…not as a Kingmaker who has to perform the Choosing between two princes who both want to become King. How you acted cemented the fact that you are the Kingmaker.”

I smiled. “Thank you for understanding, Jordan,” I said.

“I know you still have feelings for Kaz,” Jordan said. “I’m aware of that and that you have feelings for Ricky, Ori, and Hunter, too. I was too late in confessing my love for you, but I did. And I will prove to you that my love is for real. That what I said is what I meant.” He kissed me and fixed my dress. “Now go out and do what you were going to do before I interrupted you…” he smiled. “I hope you found my interruption as pleasurable as I did.”

“Very,” I said surprising Jordan with a deep kiss while my hands cupped and rubbed his growing hard-on over his pants. “Keep your motors running for me. You’re still in the game.”

Jordan laughed before groaning. “You’re leaving me with this massive hard-on? Now that’s not fair.”

I walked out the kitchen door, but turned back to him and smiled. “Something to remember Tempest Storm by…I’ll be back.”

  Chapter 5

  Kaz

I couldn’t believe Jordan got away from Ori and Hunter’s careful watch.

“He slipped away,” Hunter said. “Because of that explosion.”

  “What’s the damage?” I asked.

“Not good,” Hunter said, checking his computer screens. He had hacked into the security cameras on campus. “The front gate of Kingsbury Prep had been blown apart.”

“Where are the gunshots coming from?” I asked.

“I’ve checked with security, and they said a helicopter with some armed men landed in the football field bordering the forest off of the castle. They headed into the forest,” Ori said.

We all looked at each other in disbelief.

“What could be in the forests?” I asked. “Any idea whose men were in the helicopter?”

Ori was on his phone, texting. “One of my security guys took a photo.” He handed his phone to me.

“The helicopter is one of ours,” I said. “My father’s secret elite team. Why are they here, and what are they looking for in the forest?”
