This is what we needed as a species. Yes, Edenburg was incredible. It would always be the golden standard of magical academies in our world, but it just didn’t work for everyone. If I hadn’t been Marked for The Coven, there was no way I would’ve wanted to leave my family for a boarding school.
The School of Magical Arts was designed for the everyday kid who just needed a place of their own to grow up in. I was honored to be a part of the first one, and I’d help out as much as I could with the next one – with whoever Tenn selected to open it. And I totally understood why he wanted to wait. It’d been less than a month and a bunch of stuff went down here, it just made sense to work out the kinks first.
I looked up to Deacon and squeezed his hand. “I’m glad we got to do this together.”
He grinned and kissed my forehead. “I can’t wait to see what we do next.”
