Werewolves and Wranglers

She lifted her head, taking her lips off his cock. “No more of that,” she ordered the unruly shifter, who practically whimpered.

“Fine,” he conceded, taking his hands away.

She went back to it. She licked along the underside of his shaft before taking his head back into her mouth and sucking just hard enough to make him moan. She had no intention of finishing him like this; she was just toying with him, showing him that she could. A hand slid over her ass, which she had up in the air, and then between her legs. Easton sank two fingers into her, working them slowly, building up her own need.

“Adalyn,” Remy begged softly. “Please. Oh gods, please.”

  “Stop?” Easton asked, teasing.

  “Fuck no,” Remy growled.

She took half of him into her mouth, teasing him with her tongue. Once she was done, pulling back again, she decided she was ready. Easton, with his strange sixth sense for bedroom play, pulled his fingers out. She climbed on top of Remy, grinding against him, letting his cock feel just how wet she was.

  “Not fair,” he moaned.

With a wicked smile of her own, she positioned herself over his cock and sank down, sighing in pleasure as he filled her. She took all of him, settling to enjoy it for a moment. He tried to move, trying to find a way to get them started, but she held him down with her weight resting on his hips. They weren’t moving until she wanted them to—or he flipped them over.

“You’re mean, Mrs. Lovett,” Easton commented lightly, now deliciously naked next to her. She pulled him in for a hot kiss, tongues warring as Remy was forced to watch. Easton ran a hand down her stomach and gently rubbed her clit, chuckling as she moaned into his mouth. She could finish just like this, Remy deep inside her with Easton giving her the attention he always seemed to remember.

She started rocking on her hellhound shifter, in control of the pace. It wasn’t slow, but nor was it the breakneck pace that she knew he liked best. She rode him at the exact speed she was in the mood for, able to enjoy every inch of him without building herself up too fast and ending the fun too quickly.

“Do it,” she whispered to Easton.

Oh, the look he gave her made her pause, wondering what she had just signed up for. Remy growled in pleasure underneath her. He took the chance to thrust up while she wasn’t paying attention, and a gasp escaped her.

She turned her attention back on the shifter while Easton went behind her with her oil. The cold touch of the oil spooked her, like it always did, and the momentary pain of his fingers faded quickly as she adjusted. While she rode Remy, the Nephilim stretched her ass, getting it ready for him.

Finally, those two fingers left her and Easton’s chest pressed up against her back.

“You’re about to lose control,” he warned her.

“I know,” she murmured. She could control one, but not both, and this would give them the power and leverage to do whatever they wanted. After having them in bed nearly every night, though, she knew it would only end up good for her.

His cock pressed into her, that first entrance the worst of it. He pushed until he was seated inside her.

I’ve never felt so…full in my entire life.

Between the two of them, she was positive there was no space left. A hand snaked around her abdomen and Easton went back to rubbing her clit as he began to thrust slowly. Excruciatingly slowly. Remy joined him at the same pace as she realized that she couldn’t move. Easton was holding her tightly in place. Sneaky man was using the hand she didn’t want to move to keep her right there.

Together they thrust into her and withdrew, obviously practiced and comfortable with it. Steadily, they picked up the pace. She couldn’t tell which one was directing and who was following. Remy grabbed her hips, his thrusts getting harder, which seemed to drive Easton to make them faster.

She was lost in a hazy world of pleasure and just a touch of pain. Enough to make her only more excited, relishing it.

Finally, they were driving into her like they always enjoyed. Easton rubbed her clit faster. Her thighs began to shake as an orgasm crashed over her, but they only continued. Even as the explosion of pleasure from her orgasm faded, they kept the hard pace.

Remy’s swelling began first. Easton cursed in her ear, sinking deep into her and going still as Remy thrust erratically and shoved the swelling knot into her, getting himself stuck as hot cum filled her. Easton groaned, unable to thrust anymore, and finished, his head falling over her shoulder as if he was defeated.

“He makes it so fucking warm,” the Nephilim murmured.

  “He does,” she agreed.

When Remy could finally leave her and they cleaned up, she nestled into her new favorite spot in the West: between them.

  Adalyn

Adalyn was wondrously sore the next day. Easton wasn’t in bed, like normal. Remy was stretching next to her, still asleep. She took a moment to stare at the gorgeous hellhound shifter, with his defined muscles and messy black hair.

Hm. If the town knew what I did last night with this stunning man…She smirked. She was going to have to do it again soon. They would all tell her it was wrong, but it just felt so good.

She slipped out of the bed, seeing it was barely daylight, the sun just beginning to light the sky again. She threw on a robe, tying it as she walked out of her bedroom and down the stairs. As she got to the kitchen, she found her other man right where she expected him. He was flipping some breakfast ham on her wood-burning stove, looking wonderful only in a pair of pants.

“Good morning,” she said, stepping closer to kiss his shoulder.

He turned as she looked up and gave her a soft kiss. “How are you?” he asked, like he did every time they had a particularly rough night.

“Perfect,” she promised. She was feeling pretty perfect, and that was the honest truth. She loved the delicious sore post-sex feeling, and that was something she hoped would never change. She never wanted to be too old to enjoy the finest men the world had to offer her. William complained on the rare occasion that her sexual appetite could be too much for him, but he was always casual about it. It normally meant he needed a couple days’ break, and she always let him have those.

These two would never ask for a break, though. When one didn’t want to join, the other was always willing.

She was smirking again as she sat down at the table, stretching her legs out underneath it.

“Was he waking up yet?” her Nephilim asked, as he put a plate of ham down in front of her.

“No, and I just left him. It’s really early.”

“It is. I’ll get him once the food is done cooking. Still need to get to the eggs.”

“You know, you could always ask for help,” she reminded him. “We decided to divide the chores.”

“I don’t sleep, so this is easy for me to just do. I like to rest, of course, just get off my feet for a short time and close my eyes, but I’m not required to lose hours of the day for it.”

She knew that, but it still felt unfair to him. “That doesn’t mean—”

“I’m fine doing breakfast every morning,” he said firmly, looking back at her from the stove again. “Adalyn, let me. It’s okay. We’re partners, right? We all live together. We all work together. We all find our roles. Maybe one day we’ll move out and you’ll have your kitchen back, but for now, let me do this.”

She sighed. Not just because he was adamant about the breakfast, but at the idea of them moving out. Nearly a month into them living with her and they had found a comfortable rhythm. He was right about that. She liked it. She’d had it with William. Her day-to-day life was one thing she genuinely enjoyed sharing with someone. Living alone was hard.

“Have you been looking? For new homes, I mean.” Were they already thinking of leaving?

“No. There’s not a lot of real estate here in Redstone, which isn’t awful. I’m sure we could get a loan from Felicity and look into buying something from the shifters. They have the most home
s close to Redstone, even some in town. Or we could build something.” Easton shrugged. “But we’re not in a rush. You?”

  “No, I’m not,” she answered.

They fell into silence. She finally waved a hand, calling out plates and silverware for the table. She wanted to keep enjoying the soreness without moving around. The plates landed gently at their spots, the forks and knives falling gently as well. Next, she called on her table napkins from their drawer, tossing them casually on the plates.

Easton was chuckling the entire time she worked with just her magic to get the table set. She looked up at him, wondering what was so funny. He held a fork. “Let’s not take my eye out,” he requested casually, putting it down next to her on the table. “I can’t heal that. Supernatural healing isn’t in my dominion.”

“What is in your dominion?” She perked up. Easton rarely talked about his powers, and he’d just left her an opening.

“The teleporting I can do in short distances, and not often. There’s a lot of energy in the air here, which I think is making me more powerful, but I still don’t want to rely on it too much.” He went back to the eggs, scrambling them before pouring them into the hot pan he had ready. “But really, most of what I can do is more…” He trailed off as if he couldn’t find the right word. “Metaphysical?”

“Oh? Like?” She’d seen him send Sage and Forrest across the bar with some strong telekinesis, but she or Valen could have done that. She was more interested in his unique powers. She wanted to know what these ‘metaphysical’ powers were.

He sighed, seemingly tired all of a sudden. He worked on the eggs for a few minutes before answering her. “I can strengthen the Gate so it’s not so fragile. Most Nephilim who aren’t Fallen-born could probably do that, since our side of that war is required to hold that side back. It’s not perfect, but it’s a patch. I’ve already done what I can for it.”

“Really?” She gasped, not expecting that.

“Well, most of the things held beyond those gates are distant relatives of mine, so I had a personal interest when I noticed it was weak. I’m not interested in a holy war.”

“One of many that could start if it breaks open,” she added, nodding as she considered what he said. “So, like…Lucifer is actually your uncle.”

“In human terms, that would be the best way of putting it. Angels are all related, having been created by the Abrahamic God together. They all considered each other brothers, I guess, before Lucifer began the rebellion.” He seemed thoughtful as well. “I’ve never considered it truly from a human angle, but needless to say, if it ever happens, I’ll be called to fight, like every other Nephilim hiding out there, forced onto the side of my father.”

“Beelzebub was once an angel, wasn’t he?” She had read all sorts of things about the demon, when researching the black magic banishing spell that had gotten her into so much trouble.

“No. Lucifer created his demons from men, which is why they can claim the bodies of humans and walk this plane even though they shouldn’t belong.” Easton smiled bitterly for some reason. “They were humans condemned to Hell for great evils. Alas, not all things work the way they were intended. Lucifer started to reign down there, and he took the worst of humanity and made them the bane of humanity.”

“Wow. You’re really versed in this,” she commented.

“It comes naturally,” he said, still tired. The conversation seemed to be wearing on him, as if it was difficult to talk about. “Anything to do with demons and angels, I know or can easily find out. It’s one of my powers, I guess you could say.”

“One day I’m going to guess your dominion,” she promised. It was almost a challenge, a dare, that he always refused to answer. He was giving her bits and pieces of what it meant to be a Nephilim, but never him.

“Oh, I know you will. You’re tenacious like that.” He finally smiled again, pulling the pan of eggs off the stove. He dumped them onto a plate and put them in the middle of the table. “I’ll go get the dog.”

“Aw, he’s a good boy. There’s no need to call him a dog!” She felt insulted for Remy.

“He shifted a few days ago on your porch and rolled around, hoping you would pet him.” Easton was still smiling, as if it was good-natured teasing.

She conceded. “He did do that, but he’s also an amazing man in bed, and in general, now that I think about it.”

Easton was chuckling as he walked out. Only a few minutes later, he was back with Remy following him, also only wearing pants. She was already done dishing up the plates and they started eating the moment they sat down.

“So, what are the plans today?” her hellhound asked.

“I’m off today,” she reminded him. “So Tobias is coming over, and we’re going to catch up and talk about restarting our potion business. On the side for me, full time for him.”

“Didn’t you lose that thanks to that shitty horse shifter, Forrest?” Easton was suddenly watching her carefully. “Is Tobias going to handle that guy for you? You know we would have talked to him, if you asked us to.”

She was taken aback for a moment by Easton’s sudden interest. They had offered, but she never planned on ever working with that shifter ever again. “No. Tobias will probably ask Valen to let us set up shop in the saloon.”

“Can he make potions? Valen?” Easton was still much more interested than she expected him to be.

“No. He doesn’t dabble into magic like that. Says he can’t.” She shrugged. “One of the few things that man can’t do. Plus, I’m pretty sure if he tried to make something, it would lose its power once it left the saloon. Tobias and I are the potion-makers of Redstone. Maxwell knows how to make some basics, things every witch and wizard is trained in, but he has no interest in it.”

“Okay.” With that, she knew Easton was satisfied, but she was still confused. She didn’t want to ask, though, knowing the Nephilim would either not give her an answer or be cryptic. He was always like that. She enjoyed the mental puzzle he was, but this had just struck her as too odd to continue. “Remy and I are going to check out the werewolves, get more details on their problem, in case it arises again. Then we’re going to check in with David and the shifter pack.”

“Thanks. The follow-up is the worst, isn’t it?” She chuckled.

“It is, like the time we had to arrest that werecat for attacking a human in town? He was a feisty shit. All self-righteous about it. Too bad he also turned the human.”

“Check on that too,” she asked. “New wereanimals are always drama. They have to accept that their life outside their Pack or Pride is over, and it doesn’t always work out privately. Sometimes there’s drama.”

“Good to know. The next new moon is in a couple of weeks, right?” Remy was talking between bites of his eggs.

“Something like that. I’ll need to check to be certain.” She knew it was the next big event of the town, but she couldn’t be positive. She was due to talk to William in three days as well, as per their deal that she was only allowed to visit him once a week.

They idled into silence, and finally her deputies got up to finish dressing and head out for work. She waved them on and cleaned up the kitchen herself, enjoying just being around the house. She loved her new job and felt good at it, but it was different for her. She was used to working from home, running her own business her own way. Being sheriff was stepping into someone else’s shoes, and they still didn’t fit right.

She went out to her shed when she was done with breakfast and dressed, looking inside sadly. She hadn’t been in it since before her deputies came into town. Since she got into all that trouble and Maxwell had shown up.

She knew Tobias was an early riser and would be showing up once he thought she would be awake and ready. He was probably already wandering around the saloon, waiting for the right time. Meaning he’ll be here any minute, honestly. And I need to make sure I don’t hurt him. Gods, if William is right about that, I’m at such a loss. What the hell will I do?

She was right. As she was cleaning up her little work shed and looking over her cauldrons, he walked in without knocking. She wasn’t bothered by it. This was the one place that was as much his as it was hers.

“Looking a bit more run-down than I remember,” he said, stepping past her to check their ingredients.

“We haven’t regularly used it for over a year,” she reminded him softly. Since before Beelzebub and William’s death. The shed was full of memories. It also made her realize that she had left her friend without work for over a year. “What have you been doing?”

“Little things around the town, side jobs. Blessings on crops and the like. The things these people always need shamans for. You know, the things I was doing already, even with this business.”

“That’s right,” she murmured. “So, where do you want to get started?” She waved around at everything. “Did you talk to Valen about setting up in the saloon? He’s fine running it?”

“He’s fine. I asked him this morning over breakfast.”

“Does he ever sleep?” she asked, chuckling.

“He was about to go to bed, but he can spell our stand to pull the money from wallets if they try to steal anything.” Tobias was laughing too. “We considered the saloon’s hours when I asked him.”

“That’s good. Or you can man it. That wouldn’t be so bad. It would mean you can take requests to bring to us?” She suggested it as a question, hoping he would be interested. It was something they had never really tried before.

“Are you sure you want that much work when you’re the sheriff too?” Tobias considered her. “Addy.”

“I know potions,” she said, looking away. “I can do both. I can have the life I knew and the life I’ve got now. I can do both.” She wanted to do both, now that she was standing in the shed. She felt like a proper witch when she worked on potions. Like she deserved all the education she had and that the hours she had spent studying the work was paying off. “As sheriff, I feel like I’m playing William. I took the job because it’s the best thing for the town, and for me too. I want to protect Redstone, but it doesn’t get to be all of me. Plus, I have two powerful deputies. They can handle a lot of the small stuff. Like paperwork.” Just the word ‘paperwork’ made her want to gag. Being sheriff took a lot of her time and energy, but she really wanted this.
