Darling

I laugh. “Not bad! This insane rock star stalked me and begged me to go to his concert, but other than that, I had a pretty uneventful day.”
“What about the rock star is insane?” he says seriously, his eyes boring into mine.
My upper body flutters while my lower body swells. I close my eyes, trying not to burst from the flame of my desire. His fingers find the back of my neck and draw sensual circles. I tilt my head back, opening my throat to him. His thumb grazes slowly as he patiently waits for my answer.
“Where to start… he found where I work, brought me breakfast, gave me tickets, kissed me, wrote me very dirty texts. All that for us to spend a night together. It’s a lot for one night. Insane.”
Dan shifts closer to me. I can smell his scent of amber and spice. “I never said I only wanted you for one night. In fact, I guarantee you we’ll be more than one night. Once I taste you, I’ll never let you go.”
My breath quickens and my heart races. He comes closer, almost to my lips. I want to back out, but I can’t move. I tilt my head for a kiss, but he shifts his head and goes for my cheek again.
“I need to give you something.” He stands and walks to the table holding some water and snacks. He grabs a folded shirt and smile at me. My throat constricts at the intensity of his gaze. “You won’t be wearing another band on your body, as great as they are.” He hands me a Darling Devils T-shirt and turns his back to me. “Strip. I won’t peek.”
“I already have a T-shirt. It was just dirty.” I blush, thinking of what I did with said T-shirt last night.
“So you’ll have two. Strip!”
So I turn as well and change my T-shirt rapidly, shoving the Stones T-shirt into my purse. “Done.”
He turns around and inspects me. “Much better, love. Time for me to go. See you after the concert? There’s an after-party at the hotel. I want you to come with me. Your friends are invited, of course.” His fingers find their way to my neck, massaging me into longing for his body.
I can’t talk, I can’t think, I can barely breathe. I’m burning inside out. After he releases me from his hold, he sits me on the sofa and disappears through the door.
When I try to get up, my legs can’t carry me. I close my eyes, trying to find the strength to get up, but his words echo in my brain. I never said I only wanted you for one night. I promise you we’ll be more than one night. Once I taste you, I’ll never let you go.
I breathe in slowly, trying to calm my racing heart.
The colossal-shoulders guy reappears and takes me to the venue. I find Naomi and Jules at the bar, flushed and lipstick smeared, waiting with a Moscow Mule for me. I chug it and turn around to ask my girls what happened to their perfect hairdos and makeup only to find myself face-to-face with Scumbag. Again.
“Seriously, two nights in a row?” My anger flares right away. I hate him more than I hate flying, and I hate that a lot.
“Hi, Anna. Sorry, CJ really likes your boyfriend’s music.” He sniggers.
I can feel jealousy radiating from him. How hard for him to know his ex-wife is dating a rock star, especially one known for his sexual prowess and magnificent body. I almost feel sorry for him. My fake relationship makes him insecure, and knowing his little balls are crawling up his ass because his virility is shrinking by the minute should make me feel better, but I want to kick him hard in the nuts and finish him once and for all.
As if she could feel that Scumbag’s manhood is in danger, Wifey swoops in and takes his arm. She clearly isn’t happy to see me again. It’s mutual, but I smile at her—a little smugly—not backing down from her pinched lips and defiant eyes. When the opening act starts, we’re still having a staring contest. I can’t back down first. We are having a full conversation with our eyes, which could be interpreted as:
Her: He’s with me now, bitch.
Me: Keep him, I have better.
Her: Right, as if you’re really dating Dan Darling.
Me: Try me.
Her: Oh, I will. How do you feel when I squeeze my body against your ex?
Me: Nothing. Look, it makes me laugh. You’re ridiculous.
Her: Well, ridiculous maybe, but he chose me.
Me: No, he picked me. Once I dumped him, he ran back to you.
Or maybe that’s only in my head…
Naomi laughs, certainly entertained by the showdown happening in front of her. I’m ready to take the bitch down when a hand slips around my waist, a kiss brushes the top of my head, and someone flips me around. Dan.
“Hey, you!” I smile, happy to see him.
“Hey, Anna love, can’t stay long, should be backstage. I was just trying to find your magic eyes. All good?” His baseball cap hides most of his face, but I know he’s worried.
“Yes. Just Scumbag and Wifey…” I say through my teeth.
Politely, Dan turns to them and puts his hands out to Joel then Camilla-Jane. “Scumbag, Wifey, nice to meet you.”
I hide my face in the crook on his neck, mortified. Naomi and Julie laugh, and to my surprise, CJ and Joel follow their lead. The power of the rock star.
Dan focuses all his attention back on me and whispers in my ear, “You need to give me the whole story later.”
Our eyes meet again, and I become aware of everything Dan, but it’s all in slow motion. A wide grin spreads along his face, and my eyes fall on his mouth. He wets his lips, I bite mine, and because I can’t wait any longer to taste him, I tilt my head, rise on my toes, and kiss him. It starts as a soft kiss like old friends will share. But you don’t kiss Dan Darling without it becoming more. He holds me tighter, pressing his hard body against mine, opening his mouth slightly and inviting me to do the same. Our tongues brush against each other.
My heart stops.
My head gets foggy.
He tastes divine, like something I cherish.
It takes me a minute to identify that he tastes like the peppermint sugar cookies my grandmother used to bake for Santa.
He deepens the kiss, letting my tongue explore his mouth, and I feel like a little girl anxious for Christmas again, hoping I can unwrap the lead singer the way I unwrapped the presents I found under the tree. Dan brings me closer, my breasts now against his muscular chest, and I let my fingers run on his back. I feel his heart beating confidently as if what’s happening is meant to be while mine is dashing, not understanding why I feel the way I do around him.
He groans, sending chills all over my body. My nipples harden and my pussy clenches. Dan’s mouth feels as though it’s mine, like the piece of heaven where my anger disappears. Trying to slow down, I take his bottom lip between my teeth, but Dan groans, grabs my ass, and brings his hard cock against me. Our tongues caress each other again, then his lips leave mine to suck on my earlobe, my neck, my collarbone. I whimper.
“I have to go, Anna love.”
I want to kiss him all night. I don’t want him to leave. I don’t want to let him go. I kiss him again, hoping to get lost in him forever. His fingers find the back of my neck, and he draws circles like he did in his dressing room.
“I really have to go, love.”
He’s still touching my neck, and in that moment, I have this incredible feeling that I found my anchor. I’m not drifting in anger anymore, lost in a sea of resentment. Joel and Camilla-Jane are my past, and if I let him, Dan could be my everything. With just a kiss and a little touch, he caught me in his web, and I’m far from willing to fly away.
“We said no kissing,” I whisper against his lips.
“I promised I wouldn’t kiss you. You’re the one who kissed me, love. All bets are off.”
Bringing my hand to his lips, he gently kisses it, then disappears backstage as fast as he appeared minutes ago.
I turn my head toward the somewhat-shocked-looking Scumbag and Wifey. I smile at them, grabbing the fresh drink Naomi is handing me.
“That was hot!” Jules says, fanning herself.
I don’t think she can imagine how hot it was. My pantie
s are ruined, and my thighs are wet. A drop of sweat runs between my breasts as chills run along my spine. It’s a miracle I didn’t disintegrate. I can’t stop smiling.
“So that’s really a thing?” Joel says in a mocking tone.
“Listen, buddy,” Julie jumps in, “you moved on when you were still married to her. Get lost!”
“It’s okay, Julie.” I take a sip of my cocktail, still ginning. Joel and Camilla-Jane won’t ruin what just happened.
I’ve never felt this way before. Dan and I fit perfectly. It’s like finding the perfect pair of gloves. You can buy gloves that are little tight or a bit too short or a little loose. They’ll do the job, warm you up and protect your hands from hardship. But the day your hands slip into gloves that are just right, you know it. I can’t wait to see what he’ll feel like between my legs.
“I just hate cheaters!” Julie growls.
The opening act ends and we chat until the lights go off, announcing the imminent arrival of the Darling Devils. My heart makes somersaults, anticipating his arrival. And when Dan climbs on stage, locks eyes with me, and winks, he’s all I can see. I’m not blinded by lust or stardom but by the promise of what we could be.

Dan
That kiss wasn’t a kiss. It was Anna’s way to harness me to her heart. I never thought a kiss could soften my heart as much as it hardened my dick, but it did. If I thought she owned me before, I’m now possessed, bewitched, enthralled. I’m whatever I can be that means she has complete power over me. I did say that once I tasted her, I wouldn’t let her go, but I never thought it would happen after a damn kiss. I was thinking of the taste between her legs, not between her teeth. I’m not pussy whipped, I’m mouth whipped, and fuck, I like it.
I serenaded her all night.
I read each of her expressions. Her frowns, her smiles, her blushes, I saw them all.
I know the songs she dislikes, how she sways her hips to the ones she enjoys and touches her hair when she gets lost in the lyrics. Watching her during a two-hour concert taught me a lot about her. And every time our gazes crossed, I winked, and she moaned. Even if I couldn’t hear it, I know she did.
The only time I couldn’t see her was when I sang “Once You Were Gone.” The piano was angled away from her, so I closed my eyes and imagined she was sitting on the piano, my fingers playing on her body while my words caressed her soul, her heart, her pussy. And in the last notes, I pretended she was coming for all to see she was mine, for her to know there was no escape from what we would be.
Once the song was over and I found her in the crowd, I got the sense that she felt my brain fucking her while I was singing. From what I could see, she was a little frustrated and a lot horny. I blew her a kiss and left the stage as planned. Backstage, I texted her to stay put because someone would come get them and escort them to the party.
The first thing I do upon entering the room is to try to find the fiery hair I like so much. I see her in the corner, talking with her girlfriends. I don’t hesitate before crossing the room, shaking hands and slapping backs on my way. It’s always like that after a show. Everybody wants a piece of me. But there’s only one piece I want tonight—Anna.
“Love.” I kiss her temple, sliding my arm around her shoulders.
“Dan, this is Naomi, my assistant and friend, and Julie, one of my friends who was also here last night.”
“Ladies, I’m certain my boys were looking for you.” I jerk my head in Lars’s and Art’s direction only to see them with their tongues already down some girls’ throats. I wince. We’ve been in the room for less than thirty seconds.
“Yeah, they're looking for us,” Naomi deadpans.
“Oh well, I’m not letting my night with a rock star be stolen by an almost-underage groupie. Wish me luck!” Julie announces before making her way to Art.
“Oh boy…” Anna laughs. “She used to be such a prude.”
“It’s all your fault!” Naomi teases.
I look at Naomi, trying to make her understand I need her to get lost. If she doesn't want to fuck Lars, that’s not really my problem, but I want some alone time with Anna.
Eventually she gives in. “Right… I’d better check that Jules doesn’t kill the poor girl.”
Glad that my message got through, I turn to Anna, who’s looking at me with amusement.
“Naomi is pretty forward. You could have asked her to leave,” she teases.
“Do you want something to drink?’
“Is there vodka?”
“Certainly. I personally don’t drink, but everybody else does.”
She raises an eyebrow. “Rehab?”
“No, just…” How can I explain what happens when I drink or use? My mood swings, erratic behavior, risk-taking, impulsivity, and bad decisions are even worse with alcohol in my system. I guide her toward the bar, my hand on her neck. “I tend to do stupid shit when I’m drunk, and what was forgivable at twenty is not at forty.”
“Who wouldn’t forgive you a thing?” Anna nudges me.
The whole fucking world?
“There’s a long list of people counting on me,” I say.
“We all have people counting on us.”
“Do tell. What do you want to drink?”
“Moscow Mule,” she says to the bartender. “So who counts on me? My clients, my partner at the firm, my employees, and of course, my brother.”
“Parents?”
She shakes her head. “Complicated relationship. I learned a long time ago not to count on them, and they certainly don’t count on me for anything.”
“I’m familiar with that.”
The barman sets her drink in front of her and a Diet Coke in front of me.
“Seriously? You didn’t even order anything, and he knows what you’re drinking?”
I shrug. “Doesn’t Naomi know how you take your coffee?”
“Well yes…”
“It’s the same. Everybody around me knows what I like and how I like it.”
“And you like that?”
I laugh. Only Anna would question the life I live and how I live it. “Mostly.” I take a sip of my drink.
“Isn’t it boring? What if you wanted water tonight or another kind of soda?”
“Well, in that case, I ask.”
“Hmm.” She brings her glass to her lips.
I want to taste the ginger beer and lime of her drink again. I lean closer, ready to take her mouth with mine.
“Let’s go sit.” She sighs, taking my hand and making her way to a sofa in the corner of the room.
Holding hands in public is a small thing, but it’s a big deal when you feel you belong to someone. Once closer to the couch, she clears her throat, and once people see I’m with her, they scatter.
She chuckles. “Life is easier when you're in the company of a celebrity.”
“Not really, Anna love. There are moments where it’s harder than being anonymous. I wish I didn’t have photographers following me everywhere, didn’t have to be careful what I do and what I say. Wish I could disappear whenever I want.” We sit next to each other, but it’s not close enough for me. Sliding my hand under her ass, I bring her onto my lap. “There.”
I drag my nose along her jaw and nuzzle behind her ear. I regret telling her I wouldn’t do anything. I want her to swallow me whole.
She shivers.
“Cold?” I ask.
“No, just your hand touching my neck, it’s…”
I didn’t even realize I was touching her neck again. My other hand is resting on her leg, keeping her firmly in place. “Turning you on?”
She nods. And it’s the perfect invitation for me to nibble on her earlobe.
“Dan,” she moans.
“Yes, love?”
“I thought you said…”
“Forget what I said. Feel what I’m doing,” I murmur. The tip of my tongue licks the outside of her ear slowly, as if I was tongue-fucking her slit. My tongue runs firmly down her neck, to he
r collarbone, before coming back up to her chin.
“You have a filthy tongue, Mister Darling.”
My dick is so hard that if I were in my underwear, it would break through her skirt and panties to find its way inside her. I push up my hips. She squirms on my lap.
“Dan… please kiss me.”
I take her bottom lip between my teeth and gently tug.
“We need to stop, or I’ll fuck you, rock star.”
“Please do.”
She shakes her head. “I need a glass of water.”
Snapping my fingers in the air, I get the attention of whomever wants to hear. “Water.”
I release Anna from my grip now that all eyes are on me. She slides off my lap and gives me a quick peck on the lips.
“Thanks.” She smiles, flushed and her eyelids heavy. “Do you want to dance?”
“I need to wait a minute,” I tell her, putting my hand on my shaft to try to hide my erection.
More than a few minutes later, Anna is putting on a show, dancing on her own, having fun and turning me on with every move she makes. I look around. Lars is busy with her assistant, and Art with her friend.
“Dance with me!” she screams over the music.
I shake my head, still unable to stand without poking a fan in the ribs.
“Your loss!” She laughs, moving her shoulders with the beat of the song.
But when one of our roadies starts dancing with her, I can’t take it. Hard-on or not, nobody touches my girl. I prowl in her direction and smile at my roadie for him to get lost. He does.
Sliding behind her, I grind into her ass to Lana Del Rey’s rasp, wishing Anna’s skirt were shorter so I could slip my fingers between her legs. She tries to turn to face me, but I’m holding her too tightly for her to move, my hand flat on her stomach, my fingers spreading between her navel and her pubic bone. She arches her back and tilts her head to the side. I lift her silky hair and kiss the soft spot my fingers like to massage, pushing my hips into hers. She offers me her neck, and my tongue finds its way to her jaw while my fingers resume their favorite activity—caressing the back of her neck. She rubs her ass against me, the tip of my ring finger grazing her clit every time she circles her hips. My dick is about to explode, but I don’t care. If she wants me to come grinding against her, I will.
