Jacob's Sweet Temptation

“I don’t want to leave your side. But I know that’s not realistic.” Jacob told her with a smile. “If you have to take off your ring to bake, you can put it on your necklace.” Jacob told her.
“I think it will be okay, I will just clean it good when I leave.” Chasity told him staring at it again.
“Mom said to get the one that sparkles at me. Did I get one you don’t like?” Jacob asked her.
“No, I love it. When did you tell your mom?” Chasity asked him.
“I haven’t told anyone, she said that years ago and it kinda stuck with me. I would have bought a big one, but it wouldn’t have been you.” Jacob said taking her hand and kissing her ring.
“You’re right, it wouldn’t have been me. This is perfect.” She said leaning in to kiss him.
“We have to go or we will end up in bed all day.” Jacob said pulling away from her.
“You’re right. I’ll take my car so that I can visit Callie while you are at work.” She said grabbing her keys and heading for the door. He nodded and followed her to the bakery. He sat and watched her as she started her morning routine. She was so graceful and beautiful he couldn’t take his eyes off of her.
“Jacob, it’s time for you to go.” Chasity told him as she made a bag of goodies.
“I don’t want to.” He sounded like a five-year-old.
“I know, love, but you have to work.” She said kissing him. “Want me to take off the ring so that we can tell Callie first?” She asked him.
“Please don’t take it off. You can call her and tell her, but don’t hide it.” Jacob told her. She heard what he wasn’t saying, don’t hide us.
“Okay, but news will spread fast.” She warned him.
“I’m fine with that as long as you are mine.” Jacob said kissing her again.
“You need to go.” She said against his lips.
“Five more minutes.” Jacob said kissing her some more.
“No, now or you won’t go. I love you.” She said and pushed him back.
“I love you, sweetness. If we get slow, I’ll be back. Call me if you go to the hospital.” Jacob said backing through the kitchen door.
“Yes sir.” Chasity told him with a laugh.
Chasity grabbed her phone and texted Callie telling her to call her when she got up. Her phone rang immediately.
“Why are you up?” Chasity asked her.
“Babies, enough said.” Callie told her. “What’s going on?”
“I will tell you more later, but Jacob asked me to marry him.” Chasity squealed.
“Oh my, are you serious?” Callie asked her.
“Yeah, I woke up to a ring on my finger.” Chasity told her.
“I’m gonna need more information.” Callie told her quietly.
“I will tell you everything when I get there, I just didn’t want someone else to tell you first.” Chasity told her. “Gotta go. It’s time to open.”
“Okay, talk to you later.” Callie said and hung up.
Chasity opened the bakery and began her day. It was pretty slow, but that was fine by her. She baked and hummed along with her music. The people she waited on didn’t notice the ring, but she was fine with that. Tina came in at her usual time and she retreated to her kitchen. She only had about an hour of baking before she could leave.
“I’ve missed you.” He said as he wrapped his arms around her.
“It’s only been a few hours, Jacob.” Chasity giggled.
“I know, but I want to spend all of my time with you.” Jacob said kissing her neck. “You taste so good.”
“I probably have sugar on me.” Chasity said leaning into him.
“No, you always smell and taste like vanilla.” Jacob said licking the spot right under her ear making her shiver.
“Hmmm.” Chasity moaned.
“Chasity, Luke is asking for you.” Tina started. “Oh, sorry. I’ll tell him to come back later.” She said as she backed out.
“No, tell him to come on back.” Chasity told her.
“Did you tell her?” Jacob asked running his finger over the ring.
“No, I only told Callie. No one noticed the ring, so I didn’t say anything.” Chasity said smiling at him.
“I see you two are getting along better.” Luke said as he walked into the kitchen.
“Much.” Chasity giggled.
“I wanted to let you know that Chase just took Callie and the babies home. It will take him an hour to get there, but they have left the hospital.” Luke told her looking confused. “What’s going on here?” He asked and she looked up at Jacob.
“I’m going to marry this girl.” Jacob told Luke, but he laughed. “I’m serious, she said yes.” Jacob said holding out her hand.
“Wow. You move fast.” Luke said smiling, but it didn’t reach his eyes.
“What’s wrong Luke?” Chasity asked stepping over to him.
“Nothing. I’m fine.” Luke told her pulling her in for a hug.
“I know you better than that. Are you upset about us for some reason?” Chasity asked him.
“No, I am so happy for you honey.” Luke told her rubbing her back.
“Then what’s wrong? Please tell me.” Chasity asked him.
“I will be fine; it just gets a little lonely.” Luke told her honestly.
“We are always around.” She told him.
“I know that, but while I love spending time with you when you’re not threatening to kill me, I want more.” Luke said with another weak smile.
“I haven’t threatened to kill you in a couple days.” Chasity huffed picking back with him. “We will work on it. Do you have anyone in mind?” Jacob asked him.
“Nah, I’m good. I will see ya’ll later at Chase’s.” Luke told them and walked out.
“Now, where were we?” Chasity said turning back to Jacob.
Jacob grabbed her up and began kissing her. It wasn’t an easy kiss. She felt hotter than the ovens. He lifted her up and sat her on the counter stepping between her legs. She had her hands tangled in his hair when one of her oven timers went off. She laughed pulling back as Jacob growled.
“I guess I should go back to work anyways.” Jacob told her helping her off the counter.
“I will be heading to Chasity’s in about an hour. Wanna meet me there when you get off?” Chasity asked him as she pulled some muffins from the oven.
“Yeah, I will be there as soon as I can. Be thinking about a date. I don’t want to wait forever. I want you and a family as fast as we can make it happen.” Jacob said as he kissed her again before walking to the door. “I love you, sweetness.”
“Love you too.” Chasity said with as smile.
Chasity finished as quick as she could, in a hurry to check on Callie. After telling Tina she was gone, she got in her car and started for the ranch. She could hear babies crying when she got out of the car.
“Chase, you about done with those bottles?” She heard Callie holler as she stepped on the porch.
“Coming.” He called back.
“It’s pretty loud around here today.” Chasity said walking through the door.
“Yeah, wanna baby?” Callie asked her.
“Yeah, but I don’t think Chase will let me keep it.” Chasity joked with her sister.
“No, probably not.” Callie said with a tired smile.
“Did you get any sleep last night?” Chasity asked her.
“No, but it will be worth it, eventually.” Callie muttered making Chasity laugh.
“Hey Chasity.” Chase said as he came in with two bottles.
“Hi. Need me to feed one of them?” She asked him.
“Yeah, that would be great. I’m gonna run tell Jimmy we’re home. I will be right back.” He told Callie kissing her forehead before walking out to the barn.
Chasity and Callie fed the babies and changed them as they talked about how Jacob asked her to marry him. Callie, still an emotional rollercoaster, cried. Chasity still couldn’t believe it had really happen
ed. They had just gotten the babies to sleep when Chase came back in rolling two bassinettes in the room
“I thought it would help to have these down here.” He told Callie. Nodding they put the babies in them to let them sleep while they talked.
“Hey sweetness.” Jacob said as he walked in walking over to her.
“Hey.” She said as she leaned up for his kiss.
“How are Grant and Lily?” Jacob asked as he picked her up and sat her down on his lap.
“Good. We just got them to sleep.” Callie told him.
“So have you thought about what I said at the bakery?” Jacob asked nuzzling her neck.
“It really doesn’t matter to me.” Chasity told him.
“What are ya’ll talking about?” Callie asked. “I’m finally out of the bedroom, and still feel like I’m being left out.”
“I told her to figure out a date. I don’t want to wait.” Jacob told a petulant Callie.
“Oh, when did you decide?” Chase asked them.
“I don’t care. I don’t want to wait either, but don’t have a specific date in mind.” Chasity shrugged.
“I might have an idea.” Chase told them.
“Okay, I’m listening.” Jacob said squeezing Chasity closer.
“I was thinking of doing a wedding here in a couple months. Why don’t we do a double and make it a big event.” Chase told them.
“I didn’t know you were thinking about it.” Callie said confused.
“We have had so much going on with babies that we haven’t had time to talk about it, but I never meant for us to wait this long.” Chase said wrapping an arm around Callie being careful not to hurt her.
“I’m not made of glass, but I can go for that if they want to.” Callie said looking at Chasity.
“Hey guys, what’s going on?” Luke said walking over to the bassinettes.
“I swear if you wake them up you will be banned from the house.” Callie told him frowning.
“Sorry, I just wanted to look at them.” Luke said with a huff.
“You can see them when they are awake.” Callie told him.
“Fine, what are we talking about?” Luke said sitting in a recliner.
“I asked if they would like to do a double wedding with us in a couple months here on the ranch.” Chase told Luke and he nodded.
“What do you think, Chasity. Do you want to do a double, or would you rather have your own special day?” Jacob whispered in her ear, and she turned so that she was facing him on his lap.
“I really don’t care. I’m not really into all the me-me-me like a lot of girls are.” Chasity told him kissing his cheek.
“I know, it’s just one of the many things I love about you, but if you want it to be only us that’s fine too.” Jacob told her softly.
“Can we do it as a double wedding with a town party after?” Chasity asked Chase. “I figure most of the town will be there and it will be easier to get it over with.”
“Sounds good to me, how about you Callie?” Chase said rubbing her shoulder.
“That’s fine, but I want the babies in it.” Callie told them.
“Great, so let’s set it for two months from now, and we can work out all the details.” Chase told them.
“Luke, does that sound okay to you?” Chasity asked him.
“Of course, it should be a lot of fun.” Luke smiled at her, this time it was a genuine smile.
“Good, we will need a lot of help to get it all together.” Chase told him.
“I am making the cake.” Chasity told them.
“Chasity, it’s your wedding. We can order it from somewhere else so you don’t have to worry about it.” Chase told her.
“I am the only one I trust to make our cake. If you don’t want me to make it, it can become a separate wedding.” Chasity said taking offense to him wanting to get someone else to make the cake.
“Sweetness, he didn’t mean it like that. He just didn’t want to stress you too much with everything.” Jacob told her.
“He’s right, but if you want to make it, that would be great.” Chase said smiling at her.
“We can sort everything else out later, I’m ready to go home.” Chasity told them as she stood up.
“We’ll see ya’ll later. If you need anything, call us.” Jacob said shaking Chase and Luke’s hands before kissing Callie on the cheek.
“We will.” Chase said as they left.
Chasity couldn’t wait to get home. They hadn’t talked about where they would live, but since he had been at her house lately she was assuming it was at her house. Hopefully he wouldn’t have to leave to get clothes, she just wanted to cuddle up to him tonight.
“Hey, do you have to go get clothes?” Chasity asked him when he walked in the door behind her.
“No, I brought over most of my clothes earlier today, and put them in the guest room.” Jacob told her backing her against the wall as he kissed her passionately.
“Good, but can we take this to the bedroom?” Chasity said as she broke the kiss panting.
Jacob carried her to the bedroom to celebrate their engagement. Later that night, Chasity laid there and thought about how lucky she was to be getting everything she had ever wanted and the man she never thought she could have. This wedding was going to be huge, but she got to share it all with her sister, and when it was done she got Jacob forever.
The End
