I was trying to keep up, honest to God I was. Then it hit me. He knew he’d met me all along. And kept quiet. ‘Why did you never say you knew?’ I whispered.

He inhaled, filling his lungs with air and making himself look even broader than he already was. ‘Because Tabby. You’re a proud woman. And the time was never right.’

‘When did you figure it out?’ I asked, needing to know how long he’d kept quiet about knowing my secret. ‘Was it before or after we, you know, at your house that first time?’

He stepped closer and wrapped his arms around my biceps. ‘I’ve known since the second you walked into my office for the interview. It was your eyes. They’d haunted me. I was so shocked to finally have you in my office.’ He rubbed his hands up my arms and cupped my face with his palms. ‘To have you within touching distance, that I didn’t want to say anything which would make you run away from me again. Please forgive me, Tabby. I love you. You have to trust me when I say that yes, you are the best fuck in the entire world, but I also think you are the most intelligent woman I have ever met and you deserve full partnership in the business.’

Tears began to flow freely from my eyes again, only this time they were tears of joy. ‘Really?’

He nodded and drew me close. ‘Yes, really.’

I chewed on my bottom lip and raised my eyes to his. ‘Can we just backtrack a second?’

He nodded once more, and I took a deep breath to prepare for what I was about to say. ‘You said a second ago that you want to share everything with me. Your business, your bed, and what was the other thing?’

He wiggled his eyebrows. ‘See what I mean. You’re so smart you don’t miss a trick.’ He leaned down and planted a tender kiss on my forehead. ‘I wasn’t going to say anything until later, once your signature was on the dotted line but yes, as well as a business partner I want to make you my life partner.’ He let go of my face and stepped backward. Instantly, I knew what he was about to do. But that didn’t stop a squeal from escaping when he lowered himself onto one knee. ‘Tabitha Kendal, my very own little devil, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?’

My hands flew to my face. Was this really happening? Was the man who accused me of stealing in this very spot only two short months ago really on one knee asking me to marry him?

‘For heaven’s sake, Tabby. Will you give me an answer already?’

‘Yes,’ I blurted. ‘Yes, I will be your wife.’

In one deft motion Conrad was on his feet and was swinging me around in the air as though I weighed no more than a feather. The papers scattered everywhere landing in puddles and drifting off into the distance. I tried to chase after them but he stopped me. ‘There are more copies,’ he said. ‘We’ll deal with that later.’ He scooped me off my feet and I wrapped my arms around his manly neck. ‘First though, we have an engagement to celebrate.’

‘But the others,’ I protested. ‘They’ll all be waiting for you to come back.’

‘Let them wait,’ he said. ‘I have more important matters to tend to. I just hope you’ve got that sexy red underwear on.’

I arched an eyebrow. ‘The devil outfit?’

His eyes twinkled mischievously. ‘Have you still got it?’

  ‘I might have.’

He dropped me to my feet. ‘In that case, Miss Kendal. My first request as your fiancé is that you drive yourself home and get it.’ He dangled the keys to his Porsche in front of my nose. ‘You’ll never get back quick enough in that piece of shit you own. The Porsche is all yours. Now hurry.’

I did. I hurried as quickly as I could. Because it wasn’t every day a girl's naughtiest fantasies came to life. And the things I wanted him to do to me in that little red get up. Well, they were just too devilish for words.

  The End… Or is it?

A quick note from Tiffany Squires

Hello there. I hope you don’t mind a spot of author intrusion at the end of your book. To be honest it’s the only, and least creepy, way I can pop up and say a huge thank you for reading The Billionaire’s Blue-Eyed Girl. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Actually, there is a more to Tabby and Conrad’s story if you’d like to stay with the couple for a little while longer.

I’ve written a naughty little extra, The Billionaire’s Dirty Red Devil. If you want to see exactly what happened when Tabby finally presents herself to Conrad wearing ‘that’ outfit all you need to do is join my reader group today.
