Crystal Skulls

by Jaap van Etten

Swiftdeer then jumps ahead in time, making the following statement: “The traveling people that first brought the Ark of the singing skulls came to be known as the ‘Olmec,’ then it migrated up and was taken over in legacy by the Mayans and then by the Aztecs. This knowledge today is still held by the Twisted Hair.”6 According to Swiftdeer, the Ark was in TeotihuacE1n when the Spanish army came, led by Cortés. Just before the Spaniards arrived, the “jaguar priests and eagle warriors” took the skulls and fled. Basically, they scattered over the Earth, which was the first time these skulls had separated since they came to Earth. It is believed that it is not yet the right time for them to reunite.7

Swiftdeer mentions that many other crystal skulls were made, but they did not have a detachable lower jaw. They were therefore called the “talking” skulls, to separate them from the “singing” skulls.8

If I understand the story correctly, one of the thirteen skulls was a crystal skull that contained the sum of all knowledge of the Earth. This is confusing, because the containers (crystal skulls) were made to help the Earth. Given the state of consciousness the Earth was in, who would have been able to create the crystal skull containing the sum of all knowledge of the Earth?

Morton and Thomas were not sure either whether the information Swiftdeer gave was correct. Not all his information fit with other information they had gathered. After all, a heyokah, the trickster, can easily put you into a state of confusion.

  Other Native Stories

Another Native American who has shared information in Morton and Thomas’ book is Don Alejandro Cirilo Perez Oxlaj.9 He is a high priest of the Quiche Mayan Council of Elders, which represents twenty-one different Mayan regions. According to him, there are more than thirteen crystal skulls. The Mayans originally had thirteen, but other crystal skulls were left with other indigenous peoples around the world. According to the original teachings passed down through the council, there were originally fifty-two crystal skulls in various sacred centers around the world, including many with other Native American tribes and even some in Tibet and with the Aborigines of Australia.10

Don Alejandro says that the number fifty-two, like the number thirteen, is very sacred to the Mayan people. He adds that the crystal skulls have helped the indigenous people to keep their traditions and cultures alive through some very difficult times in the past and continue to do so today. For the Council, the crystal skulls are the mothers and fathers of science and of wisdom. He adds to that: “All of the knowledge and wisdom of the entire world, and the universe, is contained in those crystal skulls.”11

Morton and Thomas also extensively interviewed Leon Secatero, the spiritual leader of the Canoncito Indians in New Mexico — part of the Navajo tribe.12 Secatero admits they have a crystal skull that they keep hidden. They consider it to be too sacred to allow others to come close to it; only the shaman who looks after the skull knows where it is. To the Spaniards, the Canoncito Indians were known as the “skull people” because the land they lived on had the shape of a skull. According to Secatero, the original crystal skulls were made by the Holy Ones. He believes they are part of a crystal matrix that links the people of Earth with the rest of the universe. Secatero says that later humans also began to make crystal skulls. These skulls have been crafted using human hair, because human hair is sacred. Hairs are like the antennae to the soul.13

According to Secatero, the Navajo understanding is that the crystal skulls made by the Holy Ones are like a prototype for the human species. It is like a blueprint, a template, a matrix. He says they are like a field that contains the information that is needed to give form to a species. Such fields exist for each species of animal and also the human.14 This idea is interesting and refers to what Rupert Sheldrake calls morphogenetic fields (Sheldrake proposed the idea of a field containing the blueprint for each species).15

It is understandable why the Navajos have such a reference for crystal skulls. They believe that as long as the crystal skulls exist, we will exist. The crystal skulls will change with us when we human beings change. They believe that every human being is connected to the crystal skulls. The skulls emit a sound that can only be heard with the inner ear, and for that reason, they are called the singing skulls. The wisdom of the crystal skulls becomes available when you open yourself to this mystery and let the sound come in.16

Another person Morton and Thomas interviewed was Jamie Sams.17 Sams also shares that it was extraterrestrials that brought the crystal skulls to the Earth. They came from the sky: from the Pleiades, from Orion, from Sirius. They were looking for a new home and brought the crystal skulls as gifts with them. These crystal skulls contain all the knowledge of these people from the other planets; everything about these people was stored in those skulls.18

According to Sams, the crystal skulls also had another function: They were the template for a new species. She believes the Neanderthals stored information about their evolution in the brain, and consequently the brain became larger during the evolutionary process. This created problems with birth. The crystal skulls formed the matrix of a species that stored evolutionary information in their DNA. She shares that the DNA of the Neanderthals and that of the extraterrestrials were mixed to create Homo sapiens. The crystal skulls contain the blueprint for this new species.19

  Personal Visions and Experiences

Although the information about the original or singing or thirteen crystal skulls shared by the different Native American people comes from certain individuals, it is based on legends and stories that have been passed on from generation to generation for a long time. That gives these stories a certain value. In addition to the stories of the Native people, many people who work with crystal skulls have personal visions and experiences about the original crystal skulls. In a time that more people feel attracted to crystal skulls, the number of these visions has increased. Searching the Internet and talking with people during crystal skull gatherings gives many stories, each having its value as a personal experience. Most of these stories are based on the number twelve with a central thirteenth crystal skull. I would like to mention a few of these visions, especially those that are documented and are relevant for the understanding of the story of the thirteen original crystal skulls.

Some interesting stories and information are documented in the book Mysteries of the Crystal Skulls Revealed. The first one is a story shared by Michael Kant, based on his channeling.20 He believes there are thirteen crystal skulls (original crystal skulls) that are under the Potala in Tibet. These crystal skulls are placed in a circle in such a way that they form two Stars of David, and the thirteenth is in the center. He believes the thirteen crystal skulls are symbolic of the thirteen Atlantean healing temples, the thirteen Inner Earth tribes, the fifty-two-year sacred calendar of the Mayans and so on.21

According to Kant, the crystal skull and other examples of crystal and light technologies were brought to Earth by various galactic races, such as that of the Pleiadians during the time of Atlantis. These races formed the thirteen tribes of the Inner Earth.22 He sees the origin of the Mitchell-Hedges Skull in one of the thirteen healing temples in Atlantis, which he says is located in the Bimini area. As discussed in chapter 7, he believes that the Mitchell-Hedges Skull comes from a female priestess who was killed during one of the last earthquakes on Atlantis. Her skull was transformed into crystal through the crystal science of morphocrystallic transformation.23

Kant mentions that there are several techniques that were used in the past to create crystal skulls (he is not talking about the later technique of carving a crystal). The technique that created the singing — he calls them “original” — crystal skulls (now under the Potala in Tibet) was morphocrystallic generation. This process uses an etheric matrix form, or what the creators seem to call “thought crystal.” According to Kant, this technique was used by other extraterrestrial races and they actually created whole crystal skeletons. This is a way to create high frequency crystal skulls.24

  As I
mentioned, according to Kant, the Mitchell-Hedges Skull was created through morphocrystallic transformation. That means that an actual form, the matrix — in this case, the skull of a priestess — was already there and through thought was transformed into quartz crystal. I feel that the theory on morphocrystallic generation and morphocrystallic transformation is correct. I was aware of these processes in the beginning of the 1990s when I was studying crystals and the factors influencing the growth of crystals. Neither the people I worked with nor I gave a name to the process. Kant’s terms clearly describe the process, and for that reason, I have adopted his terminology. Morphocrystallic generation and morphocrystallic transformation both create crystals and crystal skulls with high frequencies that are given form by six extra polyhedral fields as described in chapter 5.

In the same book, Sandra Bowen mentions information similar to that of Kant. She connected with the Mitchell-Hedges Skull and also felt that it was the skull of a priestess from Atlantis.25 It is interesting that Frank Dorland in his book Holy Ice summarizes research done on the Mitchell-Hedges Skull, which shows that the crystal skull is a copy of a real skull of a female of the Mongoloid race aged between twenty-five and twenty-nine years.26

In a regression, Sandra Bowen connected with a past life in which she worked with the thirteen crystal skulls under the Potala in Tibet. She sees the crystal skulls in Tibet as an etheric form, whereas the Mitchell-Hedges crystal skull is more of an Earth representative. Sandra Bowen also mentions that the crystal skulls relate to each of the thirteen Inner Earth tribes.27

Spoon Bending and the Morphocrystallic Processes

Processes like morphocrystallic generation and morphocrystallic transformation seem far-fetched. Are there any indications that such processes could have existed? I believe so. There is a phenomenon that can give us an indication how these processes may work — this phenomenon is called spoon bending.

Spoon bending has popularity as a spectacular method to prove and train the power of the mind. Out of curiosity, I attended a workshop in Holland facilitated by an American woman. During the preparation, all eighty participants were saying to the spoon or fork they had in their hand, “Bend, bend, bend,” many times. We held the utensil between the thumb and index finger of both hands and put a very light pressure at both ends as if we wanted to bend it. The idea was not to force but to wait until we could feel that the spoon became soft somewhere. Another method was to rub the spoon at a certain place until we felt a change occurring.

As soon as we felt that a part of the spoon became soft, it could be bent effortlessly in any direction. I will never forget when that moment came. With only slight pressure, it was easy to feel how suddenly a part of the spoon I held shifted its consistency and I could bend it without any effort. It was an exhilarating feeling! The bending became almost secondary; the feeling was all that seemed to matter to me. A photo was taken of that moment and it appeared in a few magazines. My happy moment was captured for many to see!

At the time, I believed it was the power of the mind that did it. Now I am aware that there is more to it than only mind power. I believe that spoon bending can help us understand the principle behind the morphocrystallic sciences.

I would like to repeat a statement I made earlier: Everything is energy. What we call physical form — i.e. something we can see and touch — is in reality an energy that has a certain frequency. What we see as visible is an energy field that has a frequency our eyes are able to perceive and we can touch it. Our brain has learned that what we feel and see as solid is different from what we call energy.

What we call energy cannot generally be perceived with our five physical senses. However, science tells us that what we perceive as solid is more than 95 percent empty space. The atoms that create the molecules that give the shape of the object consist of a nucleus and electrons. The electrons swarm around the nucleus in clouds, indicating the most likely place where we can find them, and they create the energy fields around a nucleus, which creates the “space.” The movements of the electrons indicate the energetic state of the atom. In other words, we are looking at an energy field that has such a frequency that it absorbs and reflects light in a way where we perceive a certain form with certain colors.

If we believe that the spoon is a solid form that is unchangeable under normal circumstances, it will be exactly that for us: something that cannot be changed. However, we can also believe that the spoon is an energy form. Because all energy can be changed through intent, it is possible to change a spoon. One way is to change it into a bent spoon. When all participants were saying, “Bend, bend, bend,” like a mantra, they created a collective field that was holding the belief that it is possible to bend a spoon. People who could resonate with this belief were able to bend the spoon; participants who could not believe this is possible could not do it. The fact that some people did bend a spoon strengthened the energy field of the “believers,” and eventually more people were able to actually bend their spoons.

Later, when I did the spoon bending by myself, it was more difficult to get results. Sometimes I was successful, and sometimes my doubts were too strong to succeed. The process of spoon bending is a process of belief, trust and training. Initially I believed it was easier to bend a thin spoon than a thick spoon, but I learned that the thickness of the material does not really matter unless I choose to believe that it does.

In essence, the morphocrystallic processes work in the same way. It is a matter of clear intent and a belief that we can change or create what we want. Granted, the morphocrystallic processes are more complex. When we bend a spoon, we work with molecules of the same type. We even use the same basic form, although we twist the form so it looks different. We change the vibration of the molecules to allow them to be malleable into the form from our imagination. I have even twisted the spoon around a couple of times and I have seen even more elaborate results.

In the process of morphocrystallic transformation, we do not change the form (matrix). In that process, we change the energy in such a way that we create a different molecular structure. We transform bone into crystal, much like the alchemists of olden times who changed lead into gold. In the process of morphocrystallic generation, we initially do not have a form (matrix). The first step in the process is to create such a matrix (thought form), which is then used to create a crystal or a crystal skull. This is the most advanced technique.

In our time, we do not have the awareness or the training to use the morphocrystallic processes. I believe we lost this skill a long time ago. Most likely, the overall vibration most of us function on does not even allow us to use these processes. However, my experiences with bending spoons show me that our abilities to change energy fields that create form are more developed than we may think. I would not be surprised if one day somebody demonstrates that morphocrystallic processes are again within our reach. Until that time, we have the choice to either accept or reject the possibility that morphocrystallic processes exist.

I have chosen to accept the existence of these processes. Every time I connect with the Mitchell-Hedges Skull, I feel I am tapping into that potential. While bending my spoons, I had a strong sensing of these possibilities we all have. Are you the one who will show us how to use the processes of morphocrystallic generation and/or morphocrystallic transformation?

  Chapter 10

  The Number 12 + 1

The general consensus seems to be that there are thirteen original skulls. When people mention that there are more than thirteen crystal skulls, they almost always mention numbers that are multiples of twelve or thirteen, such as thirty-six or fifty-two.

The number thirteen is sacred for the Mayans. Since many skulls have been found in the Mayan area, many people associate the number thirteen with Mayan traditions and predictions. However, the number 12 + 1 is common in many traditions and religions. There are so many examples that it is beyond the scope of this book to cover this subject, so I will only mention a few: There are twelve hours on a clock, twelve months in a year, twelve signs of the zodiac, and Jesus had twelve disciples.
